The Pacers arrived in Oklahoma City Tuesday night for the NBA Finals, though they were about three and a half hours behind schedule. Indiana landed around 7 p.m. local time after the team's charter flight was diverted to Tulsa, Oklahoma, with forecasters issuing a tornado warning, flood watch, and a severe thunderstorm watch for the Oklahoma City area. Now that they've arrived, the immense challenge of beating the best team during the NBA's regular season is the task at hand.
The Thunder are the favorites to win the title, but Pacers star guard Tyrese Halliburton doesn't mind playing the role of the underdog. No quote-unquote expert or analyst is going to pick us, and that's okay. We like it better that way, and it's going to be a lot of fun. That was courtesy of the Pacers. Game one of the finals gets underway Thursday with tip-off scheduled for 8.30 Eastern.

And here he swings and belts one right center field up the alley and that one's gonna go!
And welcome back, Bryce Harper, back-to-back with Trey Turner. That was courtesy of NBC Sports Philadelphia as the Phillies beat Toronto 8-3.
Circling back to the NBA, despite taking the Knicks to the organization's first Eastern Conference Finals in 25 years, Tom Thibodeau is out in New York. The Knicks fired Thibodeau on Tuesday after five seasons and three days after the team's season ended at the hands of the Pacers. In a statement, team president Leon Rose said in part, quote, "'Our organization is singularly focused on winning a championship for our fans. This pursuit led us to the difficult decision to inform Tom Thibodeau that we've decided to move in another direction.'"
Under Tibbs, the Knicks had consecutive 50-win seasons for the first time since the 1990s and made the postseason in four of five years. For more scores, stories, and features, go to FoxSports.com. I'm Joe Morgan. Get more on the Fox Sports app and FoxSports.com.
