Fox Sports Update. A historic decision made by MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred could pave the way for two baseball legends to take their rightful place in Cooperstown. The commissioner announcing Tuesday that Pete Rose and Shoeless Joe Jackson will be removed from the permanently ineligible list, making both players once again eligible for the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Gambling scandals led to both players being banned, but Manfred ruling Tuesday that MLB's punishment of banned individuals should end upon their deaths. Rose passed away last September. He is the game's all-time hits leader, and he and Jackson could be inducted as early as 2028.

The Chicago Cubs clawing back to win it 5-4 over the Miami Marlins, and the Tampa Bay Rays win a high-scoring affair with the Toronto Blue Jays, 11-9.

The NBA playoffs continuing Tuesday. The Indiana Pacers are moving on to the Eastern Conference Finals for the second straight year, knocking off the top-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers, 114-105, to win the series in five games. And the Oklahoma City Thunder with a big Game 5 win over the Denver Nuggets, 112-105, to take a 3-2 series lead back to Denver. In the NHL, a dominant performance from the Dallas Stars in Game 4. He's going in to Dallas. Whoa!
