Fox Sports Update. Game twos in the NBA playoffs tonight. I'm Jared Max. The reigning NBA champion Boston Celtics will host the Orlando Magic at 7 o'clock Eastern tonight. Boston coming off a 17-point win in Game 1, favored to win tonight by 10.5 points. 7.30 Eastern time in Cleveland, the Cavaliers will look to follow up their 21-point win over the Heat in Game 1 with another victory against Miami tonight. The Cavs are favored by 12.5 points.
9.30 Eastern time in Houston. The Rockets will look to get even with the Golden State Warriors, who won Game 1 Sunday by 10 points. Houston favored tonight by 3.5. Last night, the Lakers evened their series with the Timberwolves. The Pacers went up 2-0 on the Bucs, and the Thunder took a 2-0 lead on the Grizzlies. Oklahoma City has outscored Memphis by 70 points in the first two games, second largest margin for the first two games in any playoff series in NBA history.
Another new face we know that'll enter the NBA next season, Ace Bailey, 6'10", from Rutgers. As a freshman, Bailey averaged over 17.5 points per game and more than seven rebounds. He was named to the Big Ten All-Freshman Team, and now Ace Bailey will leave Rutgers to enter the NBA draft. He's expected to be among the top five picks. The draft in late June. The draft order will get finalized in the draft lottery May 12th. Utah, Washington, and Charlotte each have a 14% chance to land the number one overall pick.
The New Orleans Pelicans have a 12.5% shot at the number one spot. The Pelicans, who recently hired Joe Dumars as executive vice president of basketball operations, are adding Troy Weaver to serve under Dumars as senior VP of basketball ops.
Hockey, NHL's all-time leading goal scorer, who scored his first career overtime goal in the playoffs Sunday. Alex Ovechkin will try to lead the Capitals to a two-nubbing series lead on the Canadiens. They'll play tonight in D.C. The Avalanche host the Stars in Game 3 in Denver, tied 1-1.
