Fox Sports Update. The NHL season is winding down as teams are making last-minute pushes for the postseason. At 12.30 Eastern, the New York Islanders host the Washington Capitals. Alex Ovechkin is closing in on history as he approaches Wayne Gretzky's all-time goals record.

At 3 o'clock Eastern, the Minnesota Wild take on the Dallas Stars. Minnesota currently holding on to a wild card spot in the Western Conference. At 5 o'clock Eastern, the Columbus Blue Jackets square off with the Ottawa Senators. The Blue Jackets are on the outside looking in, but are within striking distance of the final wild card spot in the Eastern Conference. Meanwhile, Ottawa currently owns the top wild card spot in the East.

At 7 o'clock Eastern, the Montreal Canadiens face the Nashville Predators. Montreal has snuck their way into the wildcard hunt in recent weeks and are looking to keep their momentum going. And at 10 o'clock Eastern, the Vancouver Canucks host the Vegas Golden Knights. Vancouver is another team trying to hold on and stay in the wildcard race.

A couple of high profile matchups in the NBA today. At 3:30 Eastern, the Oklahoma City Thunder face the Los Angeles Lakers. The Thunder winning their previous matchup back in November as they try to improve on their league best record. At 7 o'clock Eastern, the New York Knicks host the Phoenix Suns. Phoenix trying to sneak into the play-in tournament in the West as their time is quickly running out.

At 8:00 Eastern, the Denver Nuggets play the Indiana Pacers. And at 8:30 Eastern, the Golden State Warriors take on the Houston Rockets.

The NASCAR Cup Series is back at Darlington Raceway in South Carolina for the Goodyear 400. Denny Hamlin winning last week's race at the Short Track in Martinsville. Hamlin has won at Darlington before, that came during the 2020 season, and he'll look to win there again today. But last year's Goodyear 400 winner Brad Keselowski is still looking for his first win of the season.

And the third and final round of Live Golf Miami is on Fox today at 1 p.m. Eastern. Golfers competing in the first stateside competition of the season at Trump National Doral Golf Club.
