In NBA news, former top 10 draft pick Ben McLemore has been found guilty of raping a woman during a lake house party in 2021.
Macklemore was found guilty of rape, unlawful sexual penetration, and one count of sexual abuse, while he was found not guilty on another count of sexual abuse. Macklemore was selected with the seventh pick of the 2013 draft out of Kansas and played for five teams over nine seasons. And in boxing news, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. has been arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and he is being processed for expedited removal from the United States.
According to the Department of Homeland Security, Chavez, a Mexican citizen, has an active arrest warrant in his home country for his involvement in organized crime and trafficking firearms, ammunition and explosives. Chavez entered the U.S. legally on a B-2 tourist visa, but he stayed past its expiration date of February 2024. He's also believed to be an affiliate of the Sinaloa cartel.
