Paige Beckers is on quite the run. Just over a week after bringing UConn its first national championship since 2016, Beckers was selected first overall by the Dallas Wings in the WNBA Draft. Beckers, a three-time first-team All-American, is now the sixth player to be drafted first overall and win a national championship in the same year. She also became the sixth UConn player to be taken at the top of the draft, joining stars such as Diana Taurasi and Breanna Stewart.

In the NBA, coming off a disastrous season, the Suns are once again looking for a head coach. Phoenix fired Mike Budenholzer on Monday, the second straight year the Suns have moved on from a head coach after just one season. The Suns massively disappointed under Budenholzer, missing out on the playoffs despite a high-priced roster that included Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal.

According to ESPN, Phoenix is just the third team in NBA history to miss the postseason after starting the year 8-1 or better. This episode is brought to you by State Farm.
