People wondered if it would ever happen, but after the first playoff at Augusta since 2017, Rory McIlroy is finally a Masters champion. The last few years have been filled with close calls at majors for McIlroy, and despite losing a two-stroke lead at the start of the day, a four-stroke lead on the back nine, and then missing a putt to win it on the final hole, McIlroy was somehow able to recover and beat Justin Rose in the first playoff hole, winning his first major tournament since 2014.
To think that I'm up here wearing one of those green jackets is, honestly, it's a dream come true. Like, my dreams have been made today. McElroy, courtesy of the Masters. Now, this also makes him only the sixth male golfer ever to win all four major tournaments and complete the career Grand Slam. Elsewhere, the story going into today's NASCAR Cup Series Food City 500 was Denny Hamlin going for a third straight win. Instead, we might have seen a new king.

of Bristol Motor Speedway crowned as Kyle Larson went in front of the 40th lap and stayed there almost the entire rest of the way, leading 411 of the 500 laps to take the checkered flag after also winning both the Xfinity Series race here last night and the Fall Cup Series race at Bristol last September.
As Larson told FS1, this win came with the added bonus of also holding off Hamlin, who finished second. That was a lot of fun. Glad to stop his three-peat. We hate to see him win, as I'm sure you guys do too.
Meanwhile, it was the last day of the NBA regular season. In the Western Conference, we had four teams fighting for three playoff spots. Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves, along with the LA Clippers and Golden State Warriors, who played each other. The Nuggets and Timberwolves both took care of business and won to punch their tickets, meaning it came down to the Clippers and Warriors for the final spot.
Of course, that game went to overtime with L.A. squeaking out the win. So Golden State now heads to the play-in tournament where we'll look to get one of the final two playoff spots in the West that way.
