Fox Sports Update. Maybe Russell Wilson will get cooking in the Big Apple. According to multiple reports, the Giants have reached an agreement with Wilson on a one-year deal worth up to $21 million and include just over $10 million in guaranteed money. For Wilson, he will now play for his fourth team in five years after leading the Steelers to the playoffs. Pittsburgh ended the year on a five-game losing streak.
The Giants own the third pick of April's NFL draft and could potentially see Colorado's Shadur Sanders as an option, though general manager Joe Shane and coach Brian Dayball are under pressure to win right now.
And the Patriots have provided Drake May with a number one receiver. According to multiple reports, wideout Stephon Diggs and the Patriots are in agreement on a three-year $69 million deal. Diggs, a four-time Pro Bowler, played in just eight games last year for the Texans after suffering a season-ending ACL injury in week eight. Before the injury, Diggs ranked seventh in the NFL in catches and second on the team in receiving yards.
In college basketball, Sean Miller is going from the Big East to the SEC. And the new head coach of the Texas Longhorns is looking forward to competing in the Sports Top Conference. You're part of the SEC. It just means more.
I don't know if there's a slogan that makes more sense than that. You feel it on football Saturdays. You feel it in this year's Sweet 16 basketball. That was courtesy of the Longhorns Network as Miller was introduced today. Miller replaces Rodney Terry in Austin, who was informed Sunday that he would not return to lead the program. Miller has led teams to 13 NCAA tournament appearances during his career, taking Xavier to the dance in two of the past three seasons.
He has gone to the Sweet 16 eight times while making four elite eight appearances in his 20 years as a head coach, which included 12 seasons at Arizona.
