Fox Sports Update. March Madness continues today with some Elite Eight action. For the men's side, the Midwest and South Regional Finals take place today to determine the final two teams who will go to the Final Four in San Antonio, Texas.

And for the women, the Elite Eight is just getting underway today with Regional 1 in Spokane and Regional 2 in Birmingham deciding their champions. The Final Four taking place in Tampa, Florida. The NASCAR Cup Series is in Martinsville this weekend for the Cookout 400. Drivers racing 400 laps for just over 210 miles. Kyle Larson winning last week's race at Homestead, Miami in the Straight Talk Wireless 400. And Larson has won this race before back in 2023. The action kicks off at 3 o'clock Eastern on FS1.

Only a handful of games taking place in the NHL today, but it's always must-see TV when Alex Ovechkin is skating, especially as of late. In case you haven't heard, the Great Eight is fast approaching Wayne Gretzky's record for the most goals scored in NHL history, and he'll look to get one step closer today at 3 o'clock Eastern when the Washington Capitals host the Buffalo Sabres.

Other games to keep an eye out for, also at 3 o'clock Eastern, the Winnipeg Jets take on the Vancouver Canucks. At 5 o'clock Eastern, the Carolina Hurricanes face the New York Islanders. And at 8 o'clock Eastern, the Toronto Maple Leafs square off with the Anaheim Ducks.

And there's some Major League Soccer action today on Fox. At 2:15 Eastern, Austin FC faces St. Louis City SC. Austin owns a 3-0-2 record and have won each of their last two contests. Meanwhile for St. Louis City, they're 2-2-1 on the season. But they own the better head-to-head record with Austin as they have three wins, one draw, and zero losses against them all time.
