The Caps will face the Hurricanes next. The reigning Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers finished off the Tampa Bay Lightning in game 5, 6-3. Florida will play the winner of the Toronto Ottawa series. The Maple Leafs can clinch tonight. The Winnipeg Jets went up three games to two on the St. Louis Blues with a 5-3 win.
What began as a night out Wednesday at a Major League Baseball game for one fan in Pittsburgh ended in a hospital in critical condition. During the game between the Pirates and the Cubs, seventh inning, a fan fell 21 feet from his seat above the Clemente Wall in right field at PNC Park. Play stopped for five minutes. Medical personnel tended to the fan and placed him on a cart. He was transported to Allegheny General Hospital, again in critical condition.
