Wilson heads to New York after spending last year with the Steelers, where he went six and one in his first seven starts before Pittsburgh ended the season on a five game losing streak. The G-men own the third pick of April's NFL Draft, and the organization is still looking for its quarterback of the future,
Staying in the NFL, the competition committee is recommending making the dynamic kickoff, which debuted last season, permanent and moving touchbacks to the 35-yard line with the hope that it will generate even more kickoff returns. League meetings will take place next week, and any rule changes must be approved by 24 out of 32 team owners. The dynamic kickoff was approved on a one-year trial basis, with the NFL saying there were 59 returns of at least 40 yards last season, the most since 2016-2014.
heading to the diamond, the Red Sox have solved their position battle. Red Sox manager Alex Cora confirmed that Rafael Devers will serve as Boston's primary designated hitter this season, while Alex Bregman will play third base. Cora made his comments while on sports radio WEEI, saying Boston is, quote, in the winning business when announcing the move. Devers initially declared that third base was his position after Bregman signed with the Red Sox in free agency, but he backed off that stance nearly two weeks ago.
