Because guys, we're just like you. We're figuring out life as we go. And remember, through the good and the bad, never lose your sense of humor. You can listen to Mean Girl Pod weekly on Mondays on Spotify, Apple, YouTube, or wherever you listen to your podcasts. Love you guys. Catch you on Mondays. It's too easy when people take Apple Pay. That is...
criminal. Oh my God. If someone doesn't take Apple Pay, I'm just not buying it. That's another thing. I will not buy it. If I have to go find the card, type it in. No. I think Hailey and Justin are truly happy. Like I'm so over it. It's like, okay, they dated like 10, 15 years ago. Like just drop. I spent some years definitely doing some people pleasing, right? I think we all did. I mean, you and I definitely did. I do think
There's going to be some times in your 20s that are definitely dedicated to that. Like, you're just a people pleaser. Welcome back to another episode of Mean Girl Pod.
How are you? I love the headband. Thank you. I just could not shower and get ready this morning. I was so tired, so I was like, we're putting a headband in and just rolling with it. I absolutely love it. I think it looks very, very good. Thank you. It's funny. The older I'm getting, my hair is almost going through another puberty, and I'm starting to get curlier hair.
What? Yeah, it's I mean, I slept on this like I didn't wash my hair this morning, which also is not like me. I was just I swear I'm on my period and it's like the period fog is at the end of it versus the beginning of it. And I I'm very out of it. But I'm trying to think like lately when I have been having my hair natural, it's just like getting curly like my mom's, which I love. But it's weird because I've had straight hair my entire life.
I actually can't believe that later in life your hair can change like that. Yeah, usually it changes with your hormones. Like, I know after pregnancy and during pregnancy your hair can change, but it's weird all of a sudden. Maybe because it's getting long. No, but...
Length would cause weight. I don't know. I don't know either, but I think that's fun. Because your mom's hair is like very curly. Very curly. So I've been loving playing with it. I've been using a lot of different like gels and stuff to see what works. And also it's just been nice not having to put heat on my hair because...
It was starting to get like... I was starting to get like all the frizzy baby hairs. That was not cute. It really does make a difference when you don't put heat on. I've noticed like your hair can get so much healthier. So, so much. Is your hair... How long is your hair now? Because I feel like I haven't seen it down in so long. It's like a good two inches below my shoulder, I would say. So it didn't grow for like postpartum. I was like where... I thought there would just be like a lot of growth. And then...
I think at month four, I feel like it started growing. And so now I think we're going. We're on our way. So I would say it's two inches shorter than your hair. That's long for you. I know. I'm really excited. I love this length. It's my favorite length. I do too because I feel like I've only seen you with the super long hair and the super short hair. So I remember you actually did one time, I forgot when it was, had like medium length hair and it looked so cute.
I never understood, you know, they call it like the mom bob. Yeah. So I never understood that. And now like I wear my hair up 90% of the time and I just 100% get it because like it's the last, like you don't have, you're not, you don't have time. Also, I cannot imagine like you holding Tate in your hair, getting in your eyes. That would drive me insane.
And she grabs it. So like last night I did have it down and she just like grabbed and there's no grip like that little baby grip. So and I quickly put it back up and I was like, this is why I don't wear it down. Those kids are so strong. I don't understand a child's strength, but it's scary. And I don't know if it's because we're afraid to like pull on them, but they're so strong. I know. No, they're so, their little grip, it's like a little reflex and they just like...
They grip it so hard. I want to hear about your monster. Tell us. So today, obviously, had to match the nails to some degree. I'm back on the Ultra Vice Guava train because of the hot pink on both of our nails, actually. Love it. And it started to feel like summer in New York. This reminds you of Miami. It reminds me of the sunshine. So I felt like it was like the perfect monster for this beautiful day.
It truly is. Cheers. Enjoy. Thank you. Thank you. Okay. What's been going on? What are some roses and thorns in your life? So my, it's like a, I can't decide if it's a rose or a thorn, but it's more so just something I would like to present to the class. Okay. I love these. So, you know, do you ever think about like having, you think about friendships like seats at a table? Yes. Okay.
Okay, so like you have your table and like you've got your Madeline, right? Who's solidified her seat at the table. And like I have, you know, my Sydney and my nuggets, okay? But I think about now as like living in Austin and being a new mom. Like so when you're a mom, you don't have like socializing is very low on the list. Like this weekend I socialized because I went to a wedding, but that wasn't like planned intentional socializing, okay? Yeah.
So I've really been thinking about seats at my table and like my neighbor mom friend, right? Like she's my like Austin seat at the table. But I was thinking about it and I was like, I really have like one more thing
at the table, which is just like your... I don't even know what kind of friend it is, but it's somewhere in Austin and it's like one more seat at the table. And so it's not that I'm looking for that actively, but I am sort of like friend dating a bit. And I...
I know that I know when Tate goes to school, I'll meet one. Probably she'll probably be somebody at her school, like a mom. But for now it's like a, that for that seat is just open. And I've been thinking about that and I, I'm not going to go like look for it, but I do think it will come my way. I feel like with this time in your life, like the transition from, um,
being, well, one, being in your 30s, but two, being pregnant and now being a mom. It's like you're transitioning friends because you're right. You're so busy. You only have room. It's not that you don't love your other friends, but you really only have room for a specific type of people because you just like don't have much of a social life. So I feel like your table is, your seats are switching, like not fast, but they're starting to swap.
Yeah, they are. And like, I have my phone friends, right? And those have actually become really easy for me right now. Like I think about like, I have a friend in Dallas and I got, I have these friends that I text, I talk to, okay. And like, they won't go anywhere because they're like grandfathered in, right. But they're not, they don't live in Austin. So they're actually really easy right now to keep in a good place because like, it's a phone friendship. But then here I do think
Like I just, I've learned what I've learned about my neighbor friend is like, I just love her. Like she's got a lot of depth. She's really positive. Her glass is always full. Right. Love. So like she's great. So like she's, she's really in, but then, you know, other than that, I think maybe, maybe I'll make another friend here or there. And I'm just, I'm really excited about that.
Yeah, it's so exciting. I feel like when Tate goes to school too, you're going to meet so many moms. Also too, I feel like your neighborhood is just...
hustle bustle like a lot of younger people so you never know like in a month you might have a new neighbor like it's exciting I know yeah it's very exciting so that's my yeah I can't decide if it's a rose or a thorn well because my other one's a rose so I kind of have two roses do you have um do you feel like you're missing something like are you in search for a seat at the table because you're like missing something in a friend or just because you feel like you have that that seat open like you're ready to bring someone new in
So I don't feel like I'm missing anything, which is the good news because I feel very like fulfilled. But I do think for some reason, I think like I'm the universe is like going to give me one more. Like I just started to get this feeling sounds a little woo woo. But like I love woo woo.
But I was like, I do have 10% of time where I'm like, I could add one social thing. And I do think this friend is going to bring something into my life in a really good way. So I'm just excited for what that is. I don't know when it'll be, but I love that. Question, does Tate have a school lined up? Well, so...
We're on the list. I don't want to say the name of the school, but there's a school I love and we're on that list. We're not in yet. Okay. I'm hoping... When I went and toured it, I was told...
She should get in by her first birthday So we'll see Oh my gosh that's soon I don't know that she'll go then I don't know I have to decide But I do think it depends where we move to So there's like some things up in the air right now Okay that's exciting though I love that Guys we have 25% off an incredible Vaginal probiotic

What about you? Which one do you want to do your thorn?
Yes. So I want to do a little callback to remember when we talked about organic tampons like a few weeks ago. So I decided to buy them this time to see if what I was saying was accurate. And I didn't notice one change, except I had to change them way more frequently than with regular tampons. Like not the regular size, the regular branded tampons. They do. I did notice when I was using them like you. They're not fully absorbent.
Not at all. Yeah. I didn't know if that would be your experience, but I had that same experience. I was... So usually I can last like three to five hours with the organic ones. I mean, every hour to two hours. Like what there was one time, 30 minutes. And I'm like, are these even absorbing? Well, it's not even that they're...
I just... I'm sorry. I don't know how we're talking about this. It makes me think of our show we're watching, which we'll get to. Oh, yeah. But I'm just imagining. I'm just like, uh-huh, okay. But I don't even think that they're full. I don't want to be too graphic, but they're not even full at the 30-minute mark. It's odd. It's odd. It's not fully absorbing. It's just like half of it is. I don't know. They just don't... How a tampon works is it absorbs and gets bigger. These just don't absorb or get bigger. So it was frustrating because...
Usually, I go through like three-fourths of a box on my period because I have like a seven-day cycle. With the organic ones, I went through a box in like...
And I'm like, okay. So I wasn't even saving money. Like I had to buy another box. Well, and aren't they more expensive? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So I, so that's the bad. So yes to aluminum free deodorant, but no to organic tampons. Yes. And I didn't notice a difference really with the cramping. Cause I know some people say like they didn't feel as cramped or anything. Like I do understand. I'm they're probably better for me, but I just didn't see enough.
positives with this purchase to want to proceed with them. So I will be going back to my Playtex or Tampax.
Yeah, I just think you have to pick your battles with this stuff, right? Like, there's so much being thrown at us right now of like, you know, get rid of X, get rid of this, do this, add this, don't do this. And it's just like, you do have to pick. Yeah. Like, you're adopting the deodorant. Yeah. But man, I've been so sleepy from this period. On Sunday, I...
did not leave my apartment once like Pete was like do you want to go for a walk do you want to leave and I'd be like leave me alone let me just stay in my cave I've just been like such a sleepy girl how was White Lotus on Sunday okay it finally an episode where it's getting a little better so I can see a light at the end of the tunnel like I feel like the story's starting to really build but um
I still just, like, don't feel, like, that excitement like I did with the first two seasons, which... Okay. I know it's controversial because a lot of people are like, this is the best season ever. And Mike White, the writer or producer, he's a genius. And I know he has something up his sleeve because of the interviews he's done. And he says, like, this is crazier than the first two seasons. So I'm like, maybe everything happens in the last couple episodes. I don't know. But I think we're getting somewhere. Some weird stuff happened on Sunday. So...
Okay, that's at least good. Some progress. Yeah. What about you? What's your... I don't know if the first one was a rose or a thorn. I'm going to call it a thorn. Okay, what's your rose then? So our rose is we've started our solid foods. And one way to like make... Because solid foods aren't...
It's not like it's messy and it's you know you sit there and like we put the food in our mouth we learn about the textures and so it's really a quite a cute experience. One thing that we've started doing is put it like playing music at the house like all the time. Yeah.
Yeah. And so we make it like a little dance party now. And I just, it's like totally my rose because she loves it and just like smiles and it's like family time. And it reminds me of like family dinners, you know, like when your whole family would sit around the dinner table, like
It doesn't, it's like shocking to me to think that I'm like there and we're not there because she can't sit down and eat food with us. But it is this like cute moment that we're having. So I'm very excited about it. So that's my rose is the, is the dance parties. I cannot get over it. I'm not just saying this cause I love you guys, but Tate, I swear to God gets cuter every day. She is. I have people like my friends would be like, Tate is so cute. Like people are always telling me how cute she is. And I'm like, she's actually like a beautiful baby.
But who do you think she looks like? Oh, God. Because it's a total house divided. I would say you only from the fact that, like, you guys both... Because Harrison does not have blue eyes, right? He has, like, darker eyes. Right. So I feel like I see more of you in her. But then again, she has, like, the lighter hair and the blue eyes. Yeah.
I don't know. I would have to see, like, Harrison and you smile next to her because she's always smiling. But I want to say you. I can't tell. Like, I just don't know who she looks like. So I just wanted to know what you thought. But, yeah. Yeah.
Maybe both. I don't know. We got to pull up those AI pictures and see if she's developing into the girl. No, when I just was thinking that I'm like, whenever she, how old do you think that those kids are? Three? Yeah, I would say two or three. I can't wait till she gets there so we can see. Also another, I have a rose for you. Miss one million. Actually more than a million now.
Thank you. I loved your text. You're like, don't know if you know. I was like, she doesn't even know yet. Unclear if you've seen. Thank you. That's very sweet of you. You need to celebrate. Yeah, you know, you know.
You know me. I want Harrison. I know, right? You're like, what do we do? I want Harrison to, you don't really like, you can't, you don't like cake. Do you have like a sweets that you're like loving right now? Yeah, I still have. I see those cookie doughs that you sent me at Whole Foods. Yes. I haven't tried them yet because I am obsessed, cannot stop eating this sweet Lorenz, but not, I don't like them cooked.
I like them raw, but there's no egg in them. I'm not getting salmonella. You could stick a candle in sweet Loren's cookie dough.
Have you had it? Yeah, because of Pete being celiac, I've tried all of them and they're very good. I like the ones I sent you more, which I'm blanking on the name, but Sweet Loren's is good. Were they called Monster or something? I can't remember. Well, they were the Monster cookies. Miss Jones. They're Miss Jones. Yes, that's what they are. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Wait, can you eat dairy at all anymore?
No, I don't think I can. Like I haven't tried it, but I did go to the steakhouse like a couple weeks ago. And I think there was like a lot of butter on the steak. I don't know, but it like killed me afterwards, which makes me think I can't. So there's this new dessert. It's called, have you seen Drizzlelicious in the stores? No. Oh, let me Google it.
I don't... I know they're gluten-free because Pete eats them, but I don't know if they're dairy-free. Let's see what the back says because, oh my God, Alex, they are addicting. I eat a whole bag of them when sitting.
Like, I can't stop. Vegan. Does vegan mean dairy free? Yeah, it does. I haven't seen these. Okay. Vegan and gluten free. Oh, my God. And they're like, not that bad. Like, they're supposed to be like a healthy snack. The I've had almost all the flavors. The birthday cake and the s'mores are so freaking good. I think you would really like them.
I'm seeing them. Okay. So. I've only seen them at. Oh, they're rice. Okay. I see. I see. I see. I see. Yeah. They're like little baby rice cakes drizzled with a flavor. I like. I literally ate two bags one time. They were so good.
Guys, we have 15% off all Lume products, which is incredible because you guys know about Jordan's pit first puff using aluminum free deodorant. And she is obsessed with Lume. I've started using it. I'm obsessed with it. The whole team's now started using it. And so it's,
Whole body deodorant that is safe to use anywhere on your body. Think pits, thinks under boobs, and even your feet. Lumi is created by an OBGYN who saw firsthand how normal BO was being misdiagnosed and mistreated. So that's why Lumi is the number one whole body deodorant formula. So block odor all day and control odor for up to 72 hours. Plus they just came out with a brand new scent, vanilla bliss. All products are bake.

Wow, I would like to try those. No shade to Drizzlelicious. I think that branding is not as exciting as some of the other brandings that I've seen. It's almost like they have a day to pick the name and they're like, well, let's just do Drizzlelicious.
I just thought branding was like, I feel like all these new modern healthy snack brands, like you can tell they're healthy the minute you look over at them. Yeah. That one I had to really dig and search to understand what was going on. It's not giving like vegan, really. No, I'm not really sure why they picked like that ugly golden brown packaging, but let me tell you, the taste, worth it. It's so good. Yeah.
Good. That's all that matters. If the product's good, then that's all we care about. So I'm in. I'm in. I'm going to try it. Okay. For Amazon. To celebrate 301 millionth, I want you to try Drizzlelicious. That's very sweet of you. Okay. Thank you. Anything I can get on Amazon, like I am just, I am ordering girly these days. Oh yeah. Because you're, you have a...
what do you call it in austin so you get it right away right we have a fulfillment center yes but in general like i just i like order my groceries i don't know i'm just kind of in that deliver to the house mode we just started getting our groceries delivered um through amazon because it's through whole foods because it is so much cheaper than going because whole foods is a little far for us it's like 20 blocks so we can't like do a full grocery haul with walking that back
And all the other grocery stores are so expensive. So we actually found out it's cheaper to get them delivered. So now we're like, oh, I guess we'll just get our groceries delivered. It's great. It's honestly the best. It's a time saver. Yeah, I absolutely love it. But I'm with you. Anything that I can get off Amazon, I will get it 10 times faster than if I have to go to the store. So with you. Okay, what's your rose? So my rose is I just got a French press coffee maker and I've been making my coffee. Oh, my gosh.
That way. And it is so good. Like it's, I just love it. It's just great.
And are you still doing protein before your coffee? Not necessarily protein, but I'm always eating before my coffee. That's right. It was like rice cakes, peanut butter. Okay. So you're still eating before the coffee and that's still working. Yes. I don't think I've gone one day since I first talked about it without eating before my coffee. And it just, I feel like it makes my stomach feel better. I also don't crave as much caffeine. I feel like I'm good with like two cups of coffee and yeah,
It makes me enjoy my coffee because I'm not drinking it to like fill my hunger. I'm just drinking it because I really enjoy the taste.
And so what, so you make a French press and then describe to us your coffee routine. So with the French press, I like more of a basic cup of coffee, like drip coffee and French press coffee. I just like it regular with some almond milk. And that's why I wanted it too. Cause I felt like with the Nespresso, since it was so, I don't want to say like potent, but it's like a specific flavor. I had to put so much crap in it.
And I was like, I don't even like it. Like it's just making my stomach hurt. I was like, cause I just love like a good cup of coffee with some good almond milk. And I was like, F it. I'm going to get a French press. So I just make a French press with two cups of coffee in it. And I drink with my almond milk and it's great. It gives me a little activity to do in the morning. I love it.
How do you do it? How do you what do you put in it? So how do you make it? So it's like it's like a little press machine thing. It's literally like this big and you boil water and then once and then you take ground coffee and then you just put ground coffee at the bottom of the French press. You pour the hot water in it. Wait like four minutes. Then you press down on it and then you're good to go. Oh, wow. I actually love that. I love when a restaurant gives you the French press. Oh, like say Ambrose.
Yes, at the table. That is such a beautiful coffee experience. Right? It's like identical to St. Ambrose. Okay, I love... Oh, I miss walking to St. Ambrose in the morning. Like, I do love them for dinner, but I love them for breakfast. I mean, that coffee is truly a treat. That might be the best coffee in New York. I agree. Did you know, so they just opened to St. Ambrose and Aspen, and we were just there, and we went to it, but we went for dinner. Because that's...
Dumb question. That's French, right? The restaurant? St. Ambrose. That'd be French. I don't have a clue. I think. French cuisine? Yeah. Okay. Seems like it. I don't know. I just really love the French press style of coffee. I like drip. I really like drip coffee too, but I've just been really enjoying this. Like I realized that's like my favorite type of coffee. Also in my book, the guy's French and he kept talking about his French press coffee. So I was like, eff it. I'm just going to buy one because it's only like 30 bucks. Yeah.
I am just as easily influenced by things like that. If I'm reading a book and they're doing something, I'm like, I got to obviously do that now. Obviously. My spending habit has been so bad. I like swipe on TikTok and I'm like, oh, that looks cool. I think I'm going to buy that. What did I buy on TikTok shop the other day?
I can't remember what it was. That thing, though, it's trouble. TikTok shop has me in a chokehold, which I hate to admit because you know how I feel about it, but I bought my fair share of stuff off TikTok shop. It's too easy when people take Apple Pay. That is criminal. Oh, my God. If someone doesn't take Apple Pay, I'm just not buying it. That's another thing. I will not buy it. If I have to go find the card, type it in. No. Right? I'm like, I'm not doing it. Yeah, totally agree. So did you tell us your rose?
Yeah. My French press coffee. What was your thorn? The tampons. Oh yeah. Okay. I did it. Okay. Okay. Forget. I think we're both losing our minds. We are. Can we talk about the show?
Yes. Oh my God. Okay. So Good American Family, episode two and three. I have such a bigger update because I actually did my research. Oh, really? Okay. Are you going to like, this is what I want to say really quickly. I've turned the corner on it. My skin was crawling at the beginning of episode two. I was like, I kept trying to like do anything but.
And then I was like, sit down and watch this show. I'm so glad we got through. Like, I didn't know if we were going to spend eight episodes wondering about her, but like we knew she was crazy. You know, we knew what was going on. They expedited it though. Like we found out very quickly. So now I'm in, I'm like, what are we going to do about it? Which I thought the same thing. Cause by episode three, it was like very, like she knew the mom and I was like, oh, so maybe this show is.
Not really about her like tricking them. It's about them trying to kind of like get rid of her, like expose her. And the juiciest part, I think it's so juicy when so we knew the mom was arrested, but now we know the dad also. Because right now where we are in the 2010 updates is like he's not believing it, but I am happy to know he ends up.
What I'm guessing is like he's torn between his marriage and his little daughter who he can walk down the aisle. I can't stand the dad. I think he... Oh my God. He just drives me insane. I'm like, you... No, I can't with you. I truly don't... I truly... They could not be on two... They could not be on two more separate pages. It's like throwing me for a loop. So something I looked into for the show. So...
I originally thought the show was going to be just about...
her story and making her look bad. But I think this show is actually supposed to be about exposing the parents for like the bad and the wrong that they did, because I was reading a people magazine article that I want to share some information with you. And this is no spoiler, but so back in 2012, like the real family, Christine and Michael, um,
had Grace's age legally changed from 8 to 22 because that's like how they were so convinced. I'm not sure like how they found that age or what. And then in 2013, the Barnett family moved to Canada without Grace, leaving her alone in an apartment in Lafayette, Indiana. And then so they pretty much abandoned her because they thought she was 22. So legally, they were like, you can be on your own. Peace out.
And then six years later, Michael and Christine were charged with multiple counts of neglect. Sorry, multiple counts of neglecting a dependent, but neither were convicted. And then this new series called The Curious Case of Natalia Grace, Natalia Speaks, came out in 2024, which I want to watch. And they did a DNA test.
And they found out that she really is the age that she was saying she was. Which is seven. So the results found that in 2024, the results found out that Natalia was approximately 22 years old, which suggests she was seven years old when she was adopted by Michael and Christine. Her real age is 21 in 2024. Okay.
So I don't know how they didn't do a DNA test the first time. And I don't know how this DNA test, like, I just like don't understand how this all got mixed up. But yeah, it's not wild. Wow. Yeah. She just like is, I think she is a sociopath.
Well, that's the thing. It's like I want to watch this Natalia Grace speaks out because just based off of like her already gone through puberty and her getting her period at the age of seven makes me believe that she is older. But the whole DNA test so many years later, I'm like, what are we missing? I wonder if...
Yeah, I just, I just, I'm so curious now as to like how it all unfolds, but I just don't know how you can be seven and have a, do seven-year-olds have periods? I don't, I don't. I mean, the doctor in the show said he had never seen a seven-year-old get their period. And I don't know, like in the world with the youngest ages, but like she seemed to have already have been getting it for a while. Like that wasn't her first period. And how did she have tampons? Right? Right.
Yeah, and I so I in one thing that like keeps confusing me is like when she ran to the beach and then later they were having the conversation. They're like, how did she run? So I think she's like faking her Walker. Yeah, and like she bought she bought her Walker, right? with Christine showing her birth certificate but it not being her identity. It's like, who's the girl in the picture then? Yeah, I think she stole somebody in Ukraine's identity and then faked an adoption, faked that girl coming over here for an adoption. And then... But what I don't understand is...
They put her back up for adoption. Like, did they just find this all out? That's what that's the loop. I don't understand. Yeah, that was interesting that when she went to go speak with that fan with that lady who had adopted her and then they sent her back how she was saying that she thinks that Sophia Grace is or sorry, Natalia Grace is part of like a scam trying to just like scam families. But it's like, then why would you give her back? Like, why wouldn't you have gone to the police or done something about it?
Right. But I think, I think that's when I, that's because that's what I was thinking too. And, um,
Christine kept saying like, you're the one that put us in this position. And she was like, I was just trying to protect my family. I like, we've seen multiple accounts. Like I think to tell you like would kill somebody. Like I think when she covered the mom's eyes driving, like she wanted the son to die. It was terrifying. And would have laughed. She like would have laughed about it. No, I agree. That's why I'm like, what's your motive here? Because if your motive is to get like money and your medical, medical, um,
stuff paid for and all of that. Like, why are you trying to harm the people that would do that for you? Like, I just don't understand the mode of trying to harm the family. Right. Yeah, exactly. I know. I think she's just like, she's a true con artist, but I, I don't think there's any way this person is seven years old. No, not a chance. That's why when I read this, I was like, my jaw was on the floor and I'm like, let me see these DNA results. Cause like, I need to see these for my, for me to actually believe it.
Yeah, and I wouldn't even want to go interview her. I do want to know where she's at now, but I don't want to know until after the show. Yeah, same. I know once the show ends, I then want to watch the documentary on her because I'm like, my brain is so confused on like what to believe, what's real, what's fake. It's wild. Yeah, the dad is really killing me too, though. He's such a loser. Like, I just don't understand too how he went from
I mean, he's kind of like weak in the show in the beginning, but then now he like is married to someone else, hates his wife, doesn't seem to have a relationship with the kids. I'm like, what? I can't wait to see like how it unfolds to see how we got there. Same because he's very excited that his wife is his ex-wife has gone to prison. He's like pumped about that. But then when they call, they're like, you're all like your charges being filed against you too. And he's like, what? But it's like, so it is interesting that he ended up doing it with her.
I also can't wait to see what side the public court of opinion is on. Yes, same. Didn't you think it was interesting how in episode three, Christine's friend brought up the orphan in the movie? Yes, I meant to bring that up too, but like, okay, good. So you're not the only one thinking it. I was like, that's wild. Because like, that's the first thing I thought of too. Yeah, so I'm glad they like addressed that. Yeah, that was crazy. But, um...
I'm really happy you're becoming more of a fan of the show because I was like, we have a long way to go. We have like, I think, eight or ten episodes. I just, I didn't want us to know what she turned out to be and then like them not know yet. So I love the way that like we're already all on the same page. Yes, I know. I'm really enjoying it. I watched it this morning and I couldn't keep my eyes off of the screen. I was like, this is...
It's like a show that really has me in a chokehold. Like I don't even want to look at my phone. Like I want to just be engaged and it goes by so fast. I also think that Christine, like she's very relatable in terms of like she loses her mind sometimes. Like so would I. I would just be like, how old are you? Like I would just be going insane. That's the one thing where it's almost scary that she is so vocal about her concerns with Natalia to her face. Cause I'm like, aren't you afraid she's going to try to kill you?
well and how are they going to sleep every night I'd have to lock her in the room like she took a knife and with the boys there too I would be like these boys are not sleeping here I know I I I would just be like scared to death constantly like putting tacks outside like yeah and I wonder what Christine's dad did that's one thing I'm wondering oh is he alive I forgot or is he in jail
I don't know where he's at. I, we only just see the mom, but I, I, I remember the part where Michael was like, that's the dad's name, right? Yeah. He was like, um, your dad really messed you up. And I'm like, what does that mean? Yeah. The mom kills me. I'm like, you seem to have such an interesting relationship. Like she seems like she loves her mom, but also hates her. I can't really tell. Well,
Well, and I think that the mom is just like hard on Michael. Like I think she's always like, oh, he's, you know, he's dropped on his head. She's like, that was in 1997. It was a joke. And then like whenever she said I could take her, take Natalia to my mom's house and Michael was like, no, I'll take her to work. Like I don't think they have a good relationship. No, not at all. I know. And I'm like trying to figure out if Christine, I think she's a good person in the beginning, but I'm trying to see if this kind of ruins her as a person. And if she turns, um,
or if her intentions get worse throughout the show, just with getting her rise to fame and success. Because I just can't tell. Yeah, because I agree. The first scene made me think, oh, she's bad news. But then I was like, maybe she was embezzling. Maybe she was mistreating the kids. But she truly does seem to have a soft spot for disabled kids. Yeah. Now, I am with you, though. How does this character develop? Because right now, I think her heart's in a good place.
Yeah, and like when Jake was like, I don't want to do any more interviews, and she was like, okay, I'm on board with that, but then proceeded to do more interviews. I was like, okay, is the fame getting to your head? She was like, mom knows, sometimes mom just knows best. Yeah. So, oh man, I hate that it's week by week, because if I could, I would watch the whole series tonight. No question. By episode three, I was like locked in.
And if you're also watching this show, please like DM us and let us know your thoughts because I'm like itching. I don't know anyone else in my life who's watching and I'm itching to talk about this show with people. Totally agree. And it's very like consuming when you're watching it. So I do hope that our listeners are like caught up with us or if not, go start it now. Yes, it's a good, good show. Like if we weren't watching it for like on the podcast, I would wreck it every week. I would recommend it. Yeah, it's a really good one.
Oh, I love that. I'm wondering, based off time, should we get into our topic? Yeah, I think so. I did not realize the time. I know. I feel like time just flies when we record. Let's see. Okay. Oh, okay. I did want to hear about Benny Blocko, Selena, Hailey, Justin, but you can tell me next time or you can tell me now. Do you want a quick talk about it?
Yeah, give me the update. I've been seeing it, but I don't know what's happening. Okay, so obviously you know Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez are engaged, right?
Yes. Okay, so Benny and Selena just came out with a new album together, and it's really good. Like, it's a great album. It shows a side of Selena that we haven't seen in a while, in my opinion. But a lot of people are assuming that some of the songs are about Justin and maybe Hailey, and now it's just causing, like, so much hate and backfire towards Justin and Hailey and, like,
People are now coming out like this one person. I don't know if they're anonymous or who it was, but they came off like a seven part series on Haley Bieber being obsessed with Justin Bieber and like how she always copies Selena Gomez. And that went viral. Now everyone's like,
Hailey Bieber, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Like all this stuff like forced Justin to marry her. All this like all these crazy accusations. And it's just like wild. But throughout all of this, all I have to say is I have become totally obsessed with Selena and Benny's relationship because I've seen so many interviews. And that man loves her so much. That's really cute. I think like I just wish...
That everyone... We could let everyone be... You know, because, like, I think Hailey and Justin are truly happy. Yeah. Like, we're not getting any... Like, and then I think Benny and Selena, too. So, like, okay. I just... It's always...
Like, I'm so over it. It's like, okay, they dated like 10, 15 years ago. Like, just drop it. Let's Haley and Justin be a thing because Selena and Benny are so freaking happy. Yeah, it's like wild to me. Okay, so that's the, I saw they came out with an album. I think that's really cool they did that. Mean Girl Pod is sponsored by BetterHelp. Let's talk numbers, you guys. i'm so obsessed with benny i did not realize how talented he is
He wrote, sorry, he didn't write. He helped produce like Moves Like Jagger, the Diamond song for Rihanna. Like so he's literally like every famous song he's probably helped produce. That's incredible. I didn't know that. I just knew I've seen like some of his stuff and I like to watch his videos. Like he does seem super talented. He's really funny. He's very funny. But yeah, he's just like.
He's wildly smart. So I'm like... And I love Selena. So it's like, I just let them be. Yeah. Good for them. I agree. Okay. Okay. So today's topic...
R is lessons we learned. Is it R or is? Because it's lessons. R lessons? Today's topic is lessons we learned. Okay. Is lessons we learned. So today's topic is lessons we learned in our 20s that helped set us up for success in our 30s. So we're going to share three lessons.
Okay you want to go one for one? Yes so my first one and I apologize if I offend anyone but it would be to not marry your high school or college sweetheart because I feel like you truly learn so much about yourself in your 20s and it's so important to like figure out who you are as a person before you love another person or before you get in a relationship and I don't
Yeah.
Yeah, no, I think that's so true. But I think if you do, right, then make sure to grow and evolve and change together and prioritize that. Yeah, just don't allow that person to completely dictate where your life goes at that young of an age. Because I feel like so many people, I always hear people being like,
oh, I wish I would have done this or that, but I was so young and in love and didn't because I wanted to be with that person. And I love that for them and I'm so happy for them. But like life is short and you should like figure out where you really want to be in life before you, you give yourself to another person. Totally agree. Okay. My first one is there are no shortcuts.
And I think a lot of times we see it with like overnight success, right? And we talk about it a lot on here, but like there is no shortcuts and the path you take has to include failure. I think failure is a very important part of the equation. And if you don't ever fail, then I don't think you will reach real success. Like I think any type of success comes with a component of failure. So you can't
I don't want to like bleed into my second one, but oh, this is the quote that I'd written down with it though. You're not failing. You're just at the part where most people quit. And I love that. Like a lot of, yeah, I think that's a really, really good one. Like you, you want to quit and, and you think in your mind, you're not doing good enough and you're like, I'm failing and I'm not good, blah, blah, blah. And it's like, that is when people quit. And, and then a lot of people, I always hear them say, right when you're about to quit, you're actually closer to success than you think.
And so it's always important to keep going. Isn't there a quote that's like failure isn't failing. It's just trying and trying success a bunch of different ways or something. Failure isn't failing. It's just it's just a setback. It doesn't it's not really getting it for me. Oh, it's it's by Thomas Edison. It's I've not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that don't work.
Oh, I like that. Okay. Okay. And then I see the one above it. Failure is not fatal, but failure to change might be. I like that one too. I love that. Yeah. I mean, I feel like if you... Failure also helps you appreciate your success so much more because...
I mean, if you just got it like this, you wouldn't find fulfillment in that success. I totally agree. I love that. Yeah. It's the journey, right? That's a great one. I also, wait, what's your, that quote again? I really like it. You're not failing. You're just at the part where most people quit. Yeah. I'm going to, I'm going to use that. Like that's something that's like a really good quote to tell yourself on a regular basis.
Yeah, I saw it the other day and I thought, oh, that's a really, that's helpful. So we've talked about this a lot in the past couple weeks on Mean Girl Pod. But another lesson that I learned is that you won't have your life figured out in your 20s. You won't have your dream job. You won't be a millionaire. You won't be where you thought you wanted to be. And I feel like society always and social media always makes it seem like in your 20s is when you have it all figured out. And it's like, no, like,
not even close and I wish I could have gone back in time and told my younger self like your 20s is all about learning you're not going to have things figured out and where you want to be isn't going to be where you stay because in our 20s I feel like you and I had so many experiences where we were like we'll do this forever we're going to be with this person forever xyz and it's like no we didn't know that our lives were nowhere near where they were supposed to be
Right? It's like that saying when you make plans, like God, the universe, whatever you call it, laughs. Yes. And I liked what you said, though. In your 20s, you're not going to end up where you thought you would be. I think everybody listening can probably say, oh, when I was 21, I mapped it out. Okay, well, when you hit 30, I know for me at least, that's not where I thought I would be. I'm really glad it is where I was, but if you would have asked me, I wouldn't have said that. Yeah, and I even just think about like,
in my lower 20s, Barstool was my dream job. We worked there, but like we're not there anymore. And now I'm in my 30s and now I have like other dreams for me. It's just like your dream. Like I also don't want to bleed into my third, but like it's just it's all about learning and trying to find new paths to get to where life is supposed to be for you. Yeah. And I think I think like the underlying thing there is like the ability, like the
the ability to pivot and not be afraid of it. Like not be so married to something, just being like, okay, I'm okay to pivot or I'll pivot again. And then having the guts and also the, the determination to keep pivoting. Yeah. Yes. I love that. Um, okay. My second one is you can't control timing. Um,
Basically, so my underlying points on that is if it doesn't make sense right now, it will. And let go of what you can't change. Because I think a lot of times this one... I tried to make them all sort of like relate. So the first one, there's no shortcuts. And then the second one is like you can't control timing. So if you're not where you thought you would be...
it's out of your control. Um, and I think a really good way of dealing with it is like finding peace within yourself. Like if you're not happy with yourself, then you're not going to be happy with your path. And so making sure that like you take care of you first, like for me, it's journaling, reading my walks, like movement and like keeping my brain right. And then everything else I feel like I can handle because when it comes to timing, like it's out of your control. I
I love that. Just figure out, like, the biggest lesson, too, is, like, once you understand that you can't control everything, it puts you more at peace because...
I used to be like an absolute control freak and when things wouldn't go my way, I would lose it. Like I'd get anxious, depressed, this or that. And like when you come to peace with that term, life is so much more easy. Yeah. When you just say, okay, like let go of the control. And I think, I don't know, people listening might have something different that works for them, but like it doesn't work for me to be so
can so wound up about the timeline because I've just really found like timing is out of our hands and you really got to do the journey. My last lesson is it's okay for your dreams to change. So I put this on here because if you would have asked me at 25, 26, like what my dreams were, it would have been live in New York City forever, probably not get married, but maybe never have kids, work for like an E! News. And...
I remember when those dreams started to change. I used to get so hard on myself because I was like, but no, I've like worked so hard to get to all these places. And it's kind of like the IKEA theory that we talked about. And it's like, but no, I put in three plus years doing pop culture on the internet. No, like I worked my butt off to move to New York. Like I've never wanted kids. Why would I want kids now? And I used to be so hard on myself, but then allowing myself to understand like I'm still changing and growing as a person and
And like my dreams changing isn't me giving up on my past dreams. It's just me understanding that I'm changing as a person because like now my dreams are like to have a family and kids one day to like obviously be married to not do pop culture anymore. And like I just allowing myself to be okay with that has put me so much more at ease. And also I was talking to a friend yesterday and she was
telling me that she might leave New York but it was like super hard because she felt like she was letting herself down like her younger self down because that was her dream and I was like I mean that's like such a powerful statement but it's like it's okay for you to change your dream throughout your life and I don't think you are letting yourself down by pivoting and wanting to change yeah I that that part to me is really fascinating like
Like, I don't know. I don't have the gap fully flushed out here. But if your dream was to move to New York and then you did it. But...
Why is she viewing it as a failure to leave, I guess, is my question. I think because she like people always think like New York is like the end goal, like the end all be all. Like once you once you go to New York, you made it like life is complete. And I think she sees moving because she was she's going to be moving back home. She thinks it's almost like she's letting her younger self down and it's almost like a failure, like she's going backwards now.
And I was telling her, I was like, no, like if it's just like a new step in your journey, in your life. Totally. Yeah. And is she happy she's making the decision or is she sad? She's so happy. Like she's so excited for the change to save money, to get a car, to be closer to family. But she's sad in the sense of like,
It's confusing because she really thought she would be here forever. And this would be the rest of her life. I wonder if she's like letting other people's opinions like infiltrate. I'm sure. Because everyone thinks like, oh, you leave New York, you must be like settling down or things didn't work out. And it's like, no, like leaving New York is sometimes just like a new dream. Yeah. Sometimes you're exhausted by the city. Like, I think that that's very real. But I, you know, like I do think...
Okay. That's good. Yeah. It kind of, it kind of goes into my third, which is do things for you. Sounds blanket, but like, so the first one is you can't control how people react to what you do, but you can control you. And I think that that's something that you and I have learned a lot, but like also your friend that you were just referencing, right? Like,
If, if we do things, well, the second one is you're, you're not a prisoner to anyone else, right? Like don't let other people, I think of this example and I was like, I had just graduated college and I had this friend and when I didn't invite this friend places, she always made me feel guilty because
And I never forget, I had like two or three tickets to a concert. And there was two people I wanted to invite. Like they were fun, et cetera, but I felt like I had to invite her. And if I didn't invite her, she was going to be mean to me and make me feel guilty. And I didn't want to deal with that. So like I, that's a very...
simple form of like, I felt sort of, you know, I can't, I, and one thing I wish I would have told myself there is like, you can't control how she reacts. Okay. But you, and you're not, you don't owe her anything. Like you're allowed, you have the freedom to pick who you want to invite to the concert. You can still be lovely and kind to her. She might have a problem with who you took to the concert, but like that has nothing to do with you.
And I think that's like a small example of like larger situations. But I love that because when you realize, like we just talked about, you can't control timelines. Like when you realize you also can't control other people and their actions and what they do. It's like kind of like the Mel Robbins, like let them theory. Once you really realize like you just, you just gotta let people do them. You only can control your own actions. It's also a very peaceful thing.
thing and like I don't know it's just it's something that I've had to teach myself over this past year but once you learn it just you feel more at peace
Yeah, and I think I spent some years definitely doing some people-pleasing, right? I think we all did. Oh, yeah. I mean, you and I definitely did. Maybe not everyone listening, but, like, I think... And I do think there's going to be some times in your 20s that are definitely dedicated to that. Like, you're just a people-pleaser. And I couldn't have outgrown it any earlier than I did. You know, like, I...
I remember I used to be like, why are you doing this? But it's like you kind of have to have your own journey with it. But looking back on it, one thing I would tell myself is like spend less time doing that. Yeah. No, I completely agree. The day you stop pleasing other people is like such a powerful day.
Yeah. And you got so much more room in your brain. So much more room. Oh, you know, and confidence. And it's just like you really start living. You know, you can do things for you. I love that. I really like these these lessons that we have. I feel like they really did help set us for set us up for success in our 30s and me like almost about to be 30. And without them, I don't think either of us would be where we are today.
Yeah, and I don't know that mine are all, I was really trying to like channel my 20-year-old self. I think mine are actually more like what I would tell my, what I wish I would have told myself. You know, like this exercise is probably easier for you because you're still in your 20s. Yeah. But for me, mine was like a little bit looking back, but I think still helpful. Yeah, I mean, and these are all things that like,
I feel like are very relevant to the end of 29. So I agree with you. It's like things I wish I could have told my younger 20 self, but like I'm learning just before I hit 30 that are like leading me in the right direction. Yeah. Which I think is very important trajectory wise. Yeah. Should we do our listener question? Yeah, let's do it. Um, okay. All right.
Okay, so this is basically communication styles with your significant other in a relationship. Hi, love you guys. Can we talk about communication styles and how to deal with them in a relationship? I over communicate, he under communicates and we struggle to see eye to eye. I get upset that he doesn't care and he reinforces that it's completely not his intent. The struggle is real and I talk to my girlfriends about it and they feel the same way. Golf days, talk to you never. Out with the boys, sorry, too busy being in the moment. Is this normal?
That's sad. It is sad, but I don't think we're that far off from success. I'm so curious to their ages and like how long they've been together. Because I don't know if this is an age thing, a miscommunication thing, or a we've been together so long so I'm so comfortable thing.
Right. I do agree with that. The only, because if it is like just, it's, it could give like taking advantage of you sort of like, I'm just going to do me not taking advantage of you, but I'm just going to do me selfish. You could give selfish. But one thing I did see that I loved was there was this video of this mom. She was like a mom of two or three. She was like, my husband golfs every Saturday. Here's how he does it because they have such good communication.
He wakes up, he takes the kids out and he plays with them all morning. He exhausts them. He gets them down for the nap. He gives him a bath. X, Y, Z. He does all of that. He gives mom her alone time in the morning. Then he goes and he golfs. Okay. She's with the kids there then, but he's exhausted. Then he comes back. He's in charge of dinner. He fully, like if he wants to golf, he has to have the energy at the end of the day to take back over on kid duty. So mom gets the night off on Saturday. Okay.
She's like, it's a beautiful trade. But what I wasn't down for was just him being like, yo, I'm going golfing. Like, good luck. And I thought like, because there's, it's like what we talked about last week of like reframing. So it's like, one, he golfs every Saturday. It's so annoying. Two, he golfs every Saturday. I get my mornings and my evenings to myself. Yes. I love that. I also...
feel like that is such a great compromise and like balance with what he's doing how they communicate how he's helping with the kids the family how he's supporting his wife like that sounds like the perfect day to me yeah and i do think too like this she's not mentioning kids in this so i don't imagine that there are any i do think one thing just like a little advice of something that i've learned that i've kind of like walked into i don't i didn't know it before
But when kids come in the picture, I don't think somebody like this just magically gets more involved. I don't think they stop. I think that this is like an early sign of maybe how he will be when kids come into the picture. So I think it's really important to get the communication styles in line now and understanding like compromising in relationships. A thousand percent. I remember...
Like, almost probably a year ago, you said, like, you don't get better. You get worse. Like, you don't just, like, get better with communication randomly over time. Like, how they are in the beginning is usually how they will be. And I feel like if she wants her boyfriend to get better, like, she won't.
Make sure you talk to him about it because I don't know if she's had a conversation about how much it bothers her because what she's dealing with isn't normal. But if she hasn't communicated it to him, like we can't blame him because he can't read her mind. But I would I would tell her that they should work on compromising the communication. So like if he is golfing with the boys, that's
Like, can you call me on the way to the course? Can you just text me every couple hours like updates? Can you call me after your game? Like just like little things like doesn't have to be like texting 24 seven, but it could just be like checking on your girlfriend throughout the day.
Yeah, or golf day. Okay, golf's on Saturday. We're having a date night every Friday night then. Yeah. Like, give her a little. Like, she's, it sounds like she really just, like, wants more of his attention, like, in the simplest form. Yeah, and it sounds like he might be giving a lot of it to his guy friends, like, because the two examples were golf and out with the boys. So it's like, like you said, like, hanging out with the guys all day Saturday. Okay, well, Friday, Saturday.
all only you, you and me, we're going to do no phones, hang out all day. Like the boys don't get my attention. Yeah. And one thing that's, that is sort of sticking out to me here is out with the boys. Sorry, too busy being in the moment. No, no such thing. We can, we can send a text, right? And one thing that your guy friends will really admire and look up to you is if you say, Hey, I got to prioritize my girlfriend. So sorry guys, this is going to take me 30 seconds to,
but and then they can let's say his name's John when the boys are out there like oh John John's always going to send her a text and then guess what when your guy friends get girlfriends those girlfriends will love you because they see how you treat her like it is cool to be kind to your significant other yes and there's no such thing as being too busy like I think about
I dated Pete when I was almost the busiest. Like, we were just leaving Barstool. We were starting Just Media. And, like, that was the beginning of Pete's relationship, me and Pete's relationship. But I easily made time for him. I didn't even question it because I wanted to. So it's like when it comes to time and how busy you are, it's like that's truly where if you wanted to, he would. Like, he can easily make time to still talk to his girlfriend when he's with his friends. Yeah.
Totally. I think where, where, I just saw the best definition of some, there was some video and this, this guy was doing the most. It was like a very wholesome video. He was like working two jobs, you know, brought the wife home flowers and it, and somebody commented like, this is the definition of if he wanted to, he would. And I was just like, that is what I'm talking about. Right? Like out with the boys too cool to send a text. Come on guys. Like, you
You know, there's these guys and these dads and these boyfriends and these husbands and fiances out there that I think are doing a really good job. Yeah. And it's like they're really positive role models. And I'm like more of that. I love it. Out with the boys. Okay.
Sunday morning, bring her coffee, make her breakfast, like just make her feel loved and prioritized. And then like it's in everybody's best interest to like when you do that. Okay, then she starts to love when you go out with the boys because she gets excited knowing she gets her time with you. And then guess what? When you come home from being out with the boys, she's like, how was it?
Right? Everyone wins. Because, yeah, this is that's actually a great point because this could make her resent him hanging out with his friends because she thinks, oh, every time I'm with your guy friends, you push me to the side and I feel like I don't exist. So therefore, I don't want you to hang out with your guy friends.
And then the guy friends don't like her. It's a cycle. It's like everybody help each other out here. And it just starts with like a little bit more, like she said, communication style. So I hope, I hope she sits him down and talks to him. I do too. And if you're listening, please keep us posted. I want more like follow-ups from the listener questions. Like I want people to write back in about like what happened. Yeah. Like we, I did talk to him and X, Y, Z. I agree with that. I would love to know. Um, should we do some recs?
Yeah, let's do it. Okay. What are your recs? Okay. My rec is a book and it's called The Courage to be Disliked. And basically the premise of it is the power to change your life and to find true happiness. It's interesting the way it's written because it's like a student and a philosopher and they're having a conversation. What have you read it? Remember that was the book that you brought up and I was like, I just, or wait,
Did I bring it up? I feel like we talked about it one time on the pod and it was like, I just downloaded it and listened to it as an audio book. Oh, I don't know. I saw it in the airport and I saw Michael Bostic was reading it, but maybe we talked about it. Oh, I just, I read it like a month ago. Oh, and did you like it?
I did. So I did audio and it was like a little hard to like go back and forth because it was like a conversation, like you were saying. It would be very confusing on audio. I was confused when I started reading it. I was like, what? But there were parts where I was like, dang, that like hits.
But sorry, I didn't mean to. I was just like, oh my God, I read that. Sorry, continue. No, no, no, no. That's it. That's my... I didn't know you read it. Maybe we did talk about it, but I don't know. I walked into the airport bookstore and that was the one that spoke to me. So I got it. I was like, that sounds familiar. I just Googled it. I was like, oh yeah, I read that. Yeah, it's a great book. Yeah, it's a good one. So it's different though. It's definitely written like... It is sort of like reading parts. So that's...
I'll say that's not my favorite, but I am liking the content of it. So I'm reading it. Yeah, he has some the philosopher has some great lessons. The the kid in it sometimes drives me insane with what he says back to the philosopher. But I'm like, they're doing that to like push him to keep going. But yeah, when I was listening, I was like, oh, yeah, that that makes a lot of sense. Yeah, I'll keep you posted on it. Did you have all the recs or was that it? No, that's my only rec.
Okay, so my first rec is also a book, but it's fiction. And it's the Ravenhood series. Book one is Flock. I accidentally wrote Flock series. But I'm on the third of the three, but it's the Ravenhood trilogy, and it's very good. It's just like...
I don't really know how to describe it, but it's a series that has me hooked. I think I'm almost done with the third book, and I think I'm doing all three audio, and I have finished all three of them almost in two weeks. Wow. I can't stop listening. It's on all the time. Oh, that's incredible. Okay. So that is one, and then my other one is a beauty rack, and it's the Kopari SPF Setting Mist. It's like...
I think it's been around for a while, but it just went viral on TikTok last week. And it's essentially like a setting mist with SPF in it, but it gives you like this beautiful glow. And I really like it by itself. So I think like when you go to the beach or on holidays, just like you just spray it and it's SPF 50. And then you have like this like stunning glow to your skin. It's beautiful. Awesome.
Maybe I should get that because my favorite primer, not primer, tinted moisturizer always has had SPF in it. And then I went to the store the other day to get it and they're like, oh, stock up. They're discontinuing it. And I was like, why are they discontinuing it? And they're like, well, because...
I guess the U.S. passed some new regulations with SPF being in products. And so Chanel makes this. And basically Chanel is just pulling out the SPF in it and then relaunching it. But the reason I wear it every day is because the SPF's in it. So I need a new everyday sunscreen. So that's actually really good. Well, I have two recs for you if you like SPF skin tints. I do. One, Elta MD's UV Clear Sunscreen.
skin tint it's very a weird name because it's uv clear but it's a tinted sunscreen that's great for just like a very very light coverage like i i wouldn't wear it by itself if i had makeup on but like just on a daily basis or today i have on verse new skin tint it has spf of 45 in it
Fuller coverage Like I said I have it on today And I love it Really? Yeah Okay I'll try the first one I think that this I like what you're wearing today And you can get it at Target It's like a drugstore Oh even better Okay great Okay I'll try that Because I gotta get I mean I have four bottles of this So it will last me a bit But I do Once I'm done I'm gonna have to have something new That sucks I hate when your favorite thing Is discontinued
Yeah, I'm like distraught. I've used it forever, but it's okay. Okay, anything else before we wrap up? No, I think that's it. Okay, you guys, we love you so much. Like we always say, make sure to send us listener questions, am I the asshole, topic suggestions, and let us know if you're watching Good American Family so we can watch it together. Yes. Oh, yeah, you guys really do go watch it. It's so good, and we love you guys. Okay, bye, guys.
