And now part two of our interview with Barry Watson right here on Catching Up with the Camdens.

- Wait, did you go, hold on. Can I ask you a question for us? - Yeah, did you guys, like, you guys kind of like, you know, went through puberty on the show, right? - Thank God. - Yeah. - I mean, that must've been kind of weird, all the hormones and all that kind of stuff. Well, I get, yeah. - I mean, I do remember, honestly. - You had your period, the pilot episode, your character did. - My character, but I didn't obviously until much later when I developed.

I lost all my teeth on the show. But I do remember, though, everyone thinking that I had a boob job coming back onto the show. And everyone, because it was literally like over summer. And I came back. And everyone's like, did Bep get a boob job? And I'm like, no, this is just called growing up. It happens. I never, ever thought that. Mac?

I was just obsessed with her cleavage. Were you grabbing her boobs all the time? No, but it was eye level. And like, they were like not there and then they were there and you couldn't see the end of her cleavage. Like, it was just like so deep. And I would just see

- Straight there. - I do remember working with you being like, "Mac, look up, my face is here." - Let me put a different shirt on, okay? - Yeah, but I'm sure that you were probably like, "Man, I got some stuff, I wanna show it off." - Yeah, she was! - Absolutely. - She was showing it off. - I mean, because we were at the time of the WB. - I was like, "Can't wait till I get that." - We were at the time of the WB when Dawson's Creek was on and everybody was-- - I know, am I objectifying her?

- Well, it was like, yeah, it was like hot, young, sexy. - So you didn't want to be staring at a wear of a clone? - Why didn't you wear a turtleneck every day, Bev? - You're right, you're right. - Sorry, what? - It was that time where everybody was like, that was the fashion choices and that was like everyone. And I think there was part of me that wanted to be cool like, you know, some of those shows. - I was just hoping mine would be as great as yours were. - I think you turned out just fine. - Did that give you guys any sort of like going through, you know,

puberty during that time and being on TV. I mean, that must have been because you have such insecurities. Anybody during that time has sort of what was that like for you guys to kind of be going through that? And did it elevate the insecurity even more?

Does that make sense? I think it felt like pretty tame for me. Like while my face was exploding with acne and I was trying to be cool but it was impossible. Yeah, it was great. Doing all of that on television was awesome. No, I mean, I must have been, I can't imagine because I wasn't, you know, I didn't start acting until I was over 18. So I don't. Puberty was pretty easy on, like I didn't,

It just happened. It was just effortless, man. I'm just kidding. No, but like I didn't break out a ton and like have the, I don't know. It wasn't that bad. I do think that. It could have been a lot worse. There was this. Like, it was. Yeah, yeah. It could have been worse. I do think that there was a challenge in kind of having those awkward moments of like trying to be cool in high school and while being on the show and so much of my identity was

being the actor that like I had, I really struggled with like falling back into play of like. Beverly. Yeah. Well, I mean, to be honest, I feel, I still feel like I, I am challenged in that sense where like, I'm very good in front of cameras and like when I'm working, but like me being personal and like being out in the world, like I insert foot and mouth at all times. I mean, I still do it. I do it on camera too, but I, you know, I feel like,

It was very difficult, like, in those moments of, like, going back to high school. And, like, I would always kind of almost fall to the back and just, like, watch. Because I didn't know how to... How to be... To...

Like fit in. Right. I actually just – Well, I'm sure you're also probably thinking like how people are kind of thinking who you are, which is not who you are. You don't know. So like I'm remembering this like I never really knew what my style was, for example, because you're always like kind of this chameleon. You wear your wardrobe, whatever. And like most kids in school, like they have this kid's style and it's pretty like they have a general idea of what their look is or whatever. I never really –

had that, like, or could tell what it was. Like one day I'd be like, I'm preppy. The next day be like, I'm a goth with a, you know, dog tag. And then the next day it'd be like, I'm a hippie, you know? So you do feel a little bit like lost in that. Well, but that's normal though for that age because you're trying to figure out who you are.

are. I guess. People my age are still trying to figure out who they are. Others had a more cemented idea of what they were about. It is interesting though because I think also there's sometimes where we think we're so different because we grew up in this world but when you actually put it back into play...

Everyone, you're right. Everyone kind of has that same story, but different circumstances. Yes. And I think like our, ours are just like, I guess what I would say what's different for us is like all of our awkward moments are just solidified. Plastered on. For everyone to see forever and ever and ever. Yeah.

Not amen. Well, it could have been worse because social media didn't exist then. Thank God. Thank God. Yeah. And so there was still like a freedom to kind of go about your business and have like a life outside of work. Yeah, absolutely. You know.

And I think what's also crazy too is like, I felt like more so back then is that we had so many relationships with people on other shows. Like we were, the WB family truly was like a really cool family. Like we all got to like, when we had all of our WB events, it was like. Some of them. Yeah.

Not everybody was cool, but anyway. That's true. I mean, I actually... Looking back, I guess they were kind of cool. But I think what's cool now is, like, also just hearing from other people, like, how much, like, they were like, we were always envious of you guys because you guys always looked like you had fun. That always feels good. Well, because I think we all, like, truly, you know, liked each other or like each other, you know, and there's...

Especially on those other shows when you have people of that age of you know late teens early 20s playing teenagers on shows on those other shows I'm talking about you it's it's probably so difficult for there not to be some stupid competition about absolutely nothing. We were all at a different point. And so for this it was a lot different and it was more about a family it was about teen well teen angst but like you know you know what I mean. Um.

And that's probably why people were probably so, not jealous, but envious that we all sort of got along. Yeah. Because they probably didn't want to be at those parties with some of their other castmates because they were sick of seeing them every day during the week. You know? Yeah. So, yeah, no, I mean, I think we were involved as like something that was really special. Yeah.

And sorry, Mary. I know you didn't want me to do it, but I did it. Yeah. No, I think it's been clear from the fans' response and overwhelming love that we saw at 90s Klon. Oh, yeah, yeah. Which there was at one point, you're like, what is this?

By the way, I'm still upset that I never found the pin lady and I didn't get a pin with your face on it. I think she must have been making out because I didn't see her either. Wait, so like... How did this rumor start? So I show up and I'm there. By the way, that's just not in my wheelhouse at all. But I made it work for me like I was saying how I make things work for me and try to enjoy it or make it fun. But I showed up...

Hartford and I walk into the hotel and I'm getting ready to check in and here we go. There we go. Hold on. That's our food. And Barry will answer his phone. Hi dummy. Hold on one second. This is my wife. We'll be right back.

Now I'm supposed to remember where we just left off. 90s Con. Oh, 90s Con. Yeah, so I walk in, I check in, and I give them my real name, not...

Barry, which is my real name, but you know what I mean. - Barry's not your real name? - There's so much we're learning. - Anyway, and they're like, "No, we don't have you under that." - You know this, right? - I was like, "Oh, okay, how about Barry Watson?" - You don't know his real name? - No. - Michael. - I'm not gonna tell, don't tell him. Don't tell him my real name. - You're never gonna know. - Just guessing. - Your real name's not Barry? - I'm not telling you what my real name is. - I feel a little betrayed by this knowledge at the moment. - You'll never be able to call me by my full name and make me feel like I'm in trouble by my mom. - I can, I can.

- I know it. - So let me finish this. - Did you pick Barry as your stage name? - Since I've been a kid, I've always gone by Barry. - So it's your nickname. - Oh my God. - The world doesn't know that you have a proper name. - The world knows, the only person in the world that doesn't know is David Gallagher. - What the hell, man? - What's your middle name? - You don't know? - No, I don't. - What the hell, man? - Yeah, wait, what is your middle name? - Oh no, my middle name is Lee.

My name is David Lee Gallagher. Like from David Lee Roth. You could probably guess why. Stop. David Lee Roth. I remember now. I remember because your mom loves David Lee Roth. Yes. Oh my God. It's true. Okay. I was named after David Lee Roth. Oh my God. Oh my God. So what? Um.

- Back to Barrett. - Wait, what's your middle name? - Beverly Ann. - Beverly Ann. - Your name is Beverly Beverly Ann? - What's your middle name, Mag? - Mackenzie Lynn. - Lynn. - Yeah, and I have a Kenzie Lynn. - Lee. - Lee, I know. - You should wear Lee jeans. - All right, Barry, it's your turn. - Do they still make Lee jeans? - I don't know. - Nice deflection there, by the way. - So my middle name is Barrett. - Yes. - My middle name is Barrett. - Michael Barrett Watson. - Oh, so I got-- - And Barry's from Barrett? - I was named after a...

a character in a romance novel from the 70s. - That's kind of cool. - I don't think I've ever told this story before, but my godmother was watching my older brother and sister when my mom was in the hospital with me about to give birth out of her vagina. - Thank you for the clarification. - That's where I came from. Sorry, mom. She's gonna be like, "Oh, Barry, why are you talking about my vagina?" So,

Sorry guys, I know this is probably what the podcast is supposed to be. - No, this is everything and the best. - So, wait, what was I saying? I just thought I was checking. - The romance novel. - The romance novel, yes. - So my mom gets this call and she was in labor with me for a while and she gets this call from my Aunt Anne, my godmother. And I was supposed to be named Ian Stewart Watson. She's very sort of Scott Irish. And that was my name, Ian Stewart Watson.

Just before I was born. Oh, no, no. After I was born, they hadn't put my name on the birth certificate yet. And my godmother calls my mom up. She's like, you know, I have been talking to Scott and Christy. Those are my older brother and sister. And they really think that the name Michael Barrett is great. And she'd been telling my mom this for a while. And so my mom's like, oh, probably doped up, whatever, after she gave birth to me. Who knows what's going on?

And she's like, okay, Michael Barrett. So find out after the fact, the reason why my godmother liked this name is because she's reading this romance novel and the lead character and its name is Michael Barrett. I don't know what the romance novel is, but some cheesy romance novel. We're going to have to find it. I'd love to. I've never found it.

really look at it. We are going to ask our fans to find that cheesy romance from the 70s with a character It would have been from the early 70s 1974 that was the year I was born. And I guarantee you that they'll find it and send it to us on social at Catching Up with the Camden's on Instagram.

Yeah. By the way, I feel like I've been interrupting you guys a lot. No, this is exactly what it's meant to be. No. Just me just saying like awful things? Yeah. The only one that's been interrupting is Bev's door. I haven't said anything awful. I was just saying lots of bad words and, you know, not very Matt Camden things. Right. Yeah.

You know what? We're just going to clip all your anecdotes into little shorts. Yeah. They'll be great. Yeah. They're just going to fly around the internet. Have you guys talked about Richard Lewis at all? Because he would have been such a great guest to have on this. I know. We did. We just talked about how amazing he was and how funny and also just like how, like,

present and like whenever he was on set. I mean, you had even... He gave you his full attention. Yeah, I worked with him all the time. I mean, he was so... He was one of the sweetest people I've ever met. Absolutely. What a sweetheart. And it's interesting because

It must have to do with something with a lot of the comedians because all of the friends of mine who are comedians or comedians I've always come across are always like the sweetest people. They have such good hearts. Yeah. Yeah. Because they want to make people laugh. I mean, I'm sure not all of them. I mean... Yeah. You know, I'm sure... Yeah. Well, what was your experience working with them? Like, what would some of your best, you know... God, you know, I would...

I think just watching him sometimes because you know, he's not somebody that's so, um, what's the word I'm looking for? Disciplined when it comes to what's the dialogue that's written on the page, which obviously we all know how important it was to get word. Perfect. And if, if, if this, whatever, like every single word on there was really important, you know, um,

which I understand it's her show, it's her writing and writers want to make sure that their stuff is how it's written. - Right. - But I remember him having a hard time the first couple episodes doing the dialogue. And I think basically he got away with not having to do everything that was said. - Yeah, well they had to be somewhere in the middle.

in the middle. I mean, I think when Richard Lewis came on, we didn't want a second meal. They pushed back and then they kind of gave up on it a bit. Yeah. I was like, look, if you're going to have him on the show, you got to let him be free a little bit. But he was just such a pleasure to work with. I mean, all the guest stars that we had on the show or recurring were all

for the most part, I think really wonderful. I feel like we were very lucky and we had such incredible, like, and also the caliber of the people,

like icons that came onto the show. Yeah. It was incredible. Like, I mean, we've, we've, we've hit on a few of them. Um, you know, like having Peter Graves is the Colonel. Yeah. And I'm sure we'll still continue to learn about people that we haven't even remembered yet. Phyllis Dillon was another one that like, we definitely couldn't, you just let her do her thing. And Eileen Brennan. Yeah. Eileen Brennan. You worked with Mrs. Bink. Oh,

I did. I did. And that was such, I'll never forget working with her because she was in the movie Private Benjamin with Goldie Hawn. And I remember as a kid, like, oh God, she's the drill sergeant. And I got to work with her. I was like, oh my God, it's Eileen Brennan. I was like, I love her. And she was just so great and so sweet. She had such a fun character. Yeah. And she really liked me.

yeah i i know no whenever i'd be on set she'd be like there he is and i'd she'd come over and hold my hand and it was just we would have i don't know we had this like special little weird bond but uh everyone liked you though i know i think everybody liked you bear yeah i don't know i'm sure there's somebody that didn't like me we haven't found him yet but we'll keep looking it's me well they're wrong i don't like every time i go home and i just

Oh, everybody likes you, huh, Barry? Right in the nose.

Oh my god. So wait, wait, so people have questions? Like fans have questions? Yeah, we can do some. Yeah, do we have some questions? We can let Barry rip on some questions if you guys want. Yeah, let's have Barry answer the burning questions from our fans. Find a good one. Just find, like, dive deep. Keep them fresh. Keep them fresh. We'll never get through them. Gross. No feet questions. Maybe give me somebody else's question.

Oh, do you want to? Oh, you answer for us. I answer for you or I answer for like, you know, Catherine or Steven. You should answer for Jess. Okay. That'll be fun. I'll try. Is Jessica, is she going to do one of these? One of these dates? Yes. Oh, why? When she's not like driving around Zooming? Remember she was, when we talked to her. Actually, she did tell us to FaceTime her today. She's packing. Oh, she's on FaceTime driving around. I'm like, yeah, that's.

Safe, Jess. Real safe. Very Mary. It is very Mary. That's very Mary. Kimmy A. Break 1 asks, what was your favorite moment with Jessica Biel? This is for me? Well, you said you wanted to answer it, so go for it. Oh, God. What was my favorite moment with Jessica Biel? First of all, it's weird when anyone calls her Jessica. It freaks me out. Yeah, no, Jessie. Yeah, it freaks me out. So my favorite...

My favorite moment? I mean, God, I don't know. She always used to fart a lot. You know? I don't know if that was my favorite or just so memorable. Yeah, really. Because we were always doing our close-ups and everybody had to be tight off camera. And if they couldn't take the wall out, we'd all be stuck back there. You know? Like really, really, really tight. And maybe you were farting too. Oh, she did. Because she started with me.

- Because Jesse inspired me. - That's all I was like, oh, I spent the whole day at work just around a bunch of kids farting on me while I'm doing it off camera. - I think I used to get so annoyed. - Yeah, me. - Yeah, I think I used to get-- - But then I'd look in the mirror, I'd come home and be like, don't worry though, Barry, everybody loves you. - Everybody loves you.

Even when they fart on you, they still love you. I don't know. I don't know what my favorite... Maybe I have a favorite moment that's going to happen in the future with Jessica. I don't even know. Or maybe not. We only fart on our favorite people. I might never... Or I might never see Jessica again.

She's going to kill you. Seedower Leech asks, who is the biggest jokester or prankster among the Candy Kids? Oh, geez. That's Barry. I mean, obviously, that's Barry. Let me think. I don't know. I do remember we did have prank wars. There was a very, I don't remember. You obviously started it because there's nobody else.

I started a lot of stuff. Yeah, you definitely started. But I do remember there being prank wars. We used to try to do something. Remember the clips? The worst part was I could never get you. Oh, yeah, clips. Yeah. We used to clip. That's right. So you take like a close-in. I started the clips. You started the clips. You did? I started the clips, yeah. Yeah. You'd get the little clips. And then I had one one time.

It must have been like 20. I love that. That was my favorite thing. No, I got Steven a bunch. Nobody would do Steven except me. I remember Ronnie's like, oh, no, no, no, no, no. I'm not going to do Steven. He's going to get mad. We didn't explain what the clip is. What's my clips all over Steven? We used to put

Clothing pins that they've turned around and then put electrical tape over so that they were stronger to hold the filters on the lights and things like that. And we put them on the back of people's shirts. They were clothes hanger clips. Or not clothes hanger, clothes line clips. It's similar to putting a tape, like a sign on someone. Yeah. I forgot about that. I was the best. Somebody else was really good too. I was the best.

You were really good? I'm just gonna say that I'm really good. You go along with it. Yeah, I was really good and Mac was really good. Is he? Yeah, Mac was really good at it. Well, I thought I was, but I tried really hard. Mac was just excited to get to play and that was the end. Until Beverly came along and was like, Mac, stop playing. I definitely was the buzzkill of the set. If you want to go with who was the most fun and then who was the buzzkill, I would definitely say it was probably me. Why do you feel like you were the buzzkill? Because I was the tattletale. She was trying to keep order.

I did. Someone needed that job. Yeah. It was a tough position to be in. I definitely, because I remember. You like order. I do. But your order, I guess.

- You like Beverly's order. - And you are an agent of chaos. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - I was like, how can I shake up this order a little bit? - I liked pushing buttons, I think. - But I think the worst part too is like, Jessie and I were the closest in age. So like, and she was not on the line of order. She was more on the line of pushing. - No, she was also chaos. - And then I used to, it used to drive me nuts. And so then we used to fight and bicker like true sisters.

And then I would just try to boss everyone around. But in my mind, I thought I was being very professional. Now I just realized I was very annoying. So I do apologize. No, no, I don't remember you being very annoying. I just remember you being you.

And you being you. Which is just naturally annoying. No, no, no. I don't look at it as annoying. I just look at it as like everybody has their things about who they are or whatever it is. And it's just like you just own it, you know? Yeah. And I'm, you know, if you want to own it that you're annoying, then that's your thing. No, I mean, I actually appreciate that you don't try me. Yeah. Because I do, I always,

I always worry. I don't think that. I always worry. I'm like, oh my God, is there going to be a day where somebody doesn't want to pick up my phone call when I'm calling all of you guys and trying to get you all together? I think everyone has that feeling and insecurity no matter who they are and what they're like. Well, thank you. That makes me feel better. I just don't answer my lawyer's calls. Okay. I do appreciate that you answer mine.

Even though sometimes it's like crazy things. I just don't open my mail. Hey, do you want to come to my house? It took me like a week or so to absorb all that. Yeah, you definitely were. I would. Yeah, you were a bit more challenging. I thought you were going to be a lot easier to say yes. Oh, really? Yeah. I thought you were going to say yes faster. You know what it is? I...

I like to go and do my work and then I like to just leave, leave. I know. And then like the whole idea that there's these people that watch me on a TV or on a screen that really enjoy my work. I don't really comprehend that.

Yeah. At all. Like, I don't. I try not to think about it. I try not to think about it. And so then when I have people that, you know, come up to me and it's all very sweet and genuine and beautiful telling me what a difference that I made for them, even though sometimes I have no clue what episode they're talking about. I have this like, ah.

Most of the time, yeah. Most of the time, I had no idea. We were saying how we can't differentiate episodes in our brains because to us it was just a continuous event. Yeah. You know, job. But the great thing about being there is that really, like, I was telling my wife how great it was just to kind of reconnect with you guys. Just kind of like how we're doing now. Because, you know, I mean, I've talked to you here and there. And we've sort of gotten together in the years past or whatever. But it was so great just to kind of be there with you guys and catch up. Yeah, because we had coffee together.

earlier this year. And actually that's when you're like, hey, so when are we all getting back together? And I'm like, I don't know. Somebody can organize it. Well, that's because you're the Julie McCoy of everything. You're the cruise director. You get everybody together, Beth. Yeah. It's what you say is annoying is how we actually stay connected. We don't have a car seat anymore. Yes. Your annoying personality keeps us together. Thank you. Yeah.

I mean, I like to see it as glue, but yeah. It is. No, but it is. You know, and I think it's also, to be honest, I think a lot of that comes from being an only child and like holding onto you guys also tight as true family. And so like, I,

And it doesn't matter how much time that goes by when all of us kind of fall back in line together. It's just like, you know, organized chaos all over again. And it's way more fun being adults. I don't know. I think there's a magic to us being older. That's still weird for me, by the way. Yeah, we have children. Do you know how many children we have? Being in Connecticut and having a drink with Mac was like, whoa. Yeah, whoa.

I'm like, I was back. She's got a kid. Where am I? I just like went through this weird time and showed up in present time. And there's Mac. Yeah. Yeah. Because among the Camden's now we have six, seven, eight, 10 kids, not together, but like amongst all of us, if you add up all of our kids, there's 10 kids.

that we're like, we're adults. What's a good name for a show where we can have all of our kids be on like a reality show together? Oh no. Like growing up with the Camdens. Like they grew up with the, I don't know anyway. Yeah. The Grand Camdens. We'll shop it. We'll work out of it. We'll try to figure out. Nothing's happening. That's never going to happen. Buck and the Rev will happen before that. Buck and the Rev is coming. Yeah, Buck and the Rev is going to happen. It's going to any day now. We're going to get the phone call on that. Yeah.

Oh my gosh. Do we have another fan question? Yes, we have a few more. You already answered mostly SweetBabe97's question of who's the most- Wait, whose question did I answer? SweetBabe. SweetBabe97. SweetBabe? SweetBabe, yeah. SweetBabe97? I already answered that? What's the question? The question was, who was your most annoying real life? Who was like your most annoying- Why did you say he answered it? He said it wasn't, he called me- You know what? Let me take that answer back. Yes, Beverly was the most annoying. Okay.

- Sweet baby '87? - Sweet babe '97. - Sweet babe '97, born in '97. God, no, that was not the most annoying. - The year after we started this show. - Happy, everybody's gonna hate this, happy the dog was the most annoying. Okay? And I love animals, I have three dogs, I've always had animals my whole life. - You've always used them. - Oh, and this is the other thing. After I got done with "Seventh Heaven" and I didn't wanna work with kids anymore, I also didn't wanna work with animals.

I didn't. I was like, is there an animal on it? Oh, good. No, I'm not going to do that. No. If there's... I do have to say, your relationship with Happy was always just very funny because Happy was... I tried. You tried. I tried. You did try. And at the end, I felt like Happy... Not that I was there for Happy's end. But... Or the happy ending, whatever that is. Or...

However, the show ended. The last show that I did with Happy, I told Happy, and just like I told you guys after you were done shooting, go be a cat. We'd get done shooting. I'd be like, Happy, go be a dog. And I'm like, Happy, I don't know how. The dog is like, what?

How do I be a dog? Yeah. Poor Happy. Poor Happy. Yeah. I think. Rest in peace. Yes. Poor Happy. Poor Happy. Yeah. Poor Happy. I don't know why they look for a double. So Happy's the most annoying. Do I have one more? And this, is this from Sweet Baby 97? There's a bunch of them. Oh, okay. Cool. Rapid fire. S Wallace, 5283 asks, did you date anyone on the show in real life? Did anyone else? I did. I did. I dated Echo. Nice.

And next question. I know. We all just... Well, I mean, it was...

You know, there was, Matt had like a different girlfriend every week for like seasons. Yeah, I think between you and I, we had the most, I had a lot of gay friends. You know, and all the girls in Glen Oak really were into Matt. So I don't know. I mean, it was the hair. There was, so I hit it off with a couple people, but it was nothing weird and nothing went

You know, obviously there was no long-term thing that ever happened. And it's all very nice. Yes. Very much a lot of respect. And...

We're good. Next question. Yes. What is the one thing you guys love about one another? Oh. Should I start? Well, I love, well, like I think I said it before, what I love about Bev is that she's like the opposite of me in some ways that I wish I could have more of where she's sort of more structured and likes things of a certain order, right?

And so actually the thing that you think is what people, annoys people is actually the thing I think I love about you. You know? And I think you should just...

You should just go with that. Accept my love. I will. I will accept it. I will take it. And take it. Accept it. I will take it. And then just know that maybe you're wrong about these things that you are second guessing yourself about with this annoying thing. Thank you. I feel like. Thank you for the therapy session. And then after this, we'll do our therapy session. Yeah, I was going to say it, Mike. How much do I owe you?

What do I love about David? I always, and this is maybe going back to when I first met him, David's such a smart person, human being. But he was a smart kid. You were smart. And you always made really smart choices with your work as an actor. I mean, I don't know how you've been outside of life sometimes.

But I always thought I was like, wow, this is such a bright kid. You know, I really love him. And I also love like, I'd always just try to be like some sort of goofy and try to like make you laugh. And I could never sometimes make, sometimes I could make you laugh, but there was other times where I think I felt like you were just looking at me like, who is this? Well, I can comment on that. First of all, I,

I've always thought that you were hilarious and I don't think that's unique. I think we've all think you're really funny, but, but I always took it as a challenge to not laugh at you when you were trying to, like, I would really fight. No, you were really, really good.

I was like, yeah, I can't get this kid. Because I would... And it was like, whenever we would... You know, and I've said this at 90s Con, but you're the only older brother I've ever had. And so you're the only person who's ever, like, given me shit in a way that...

Really bothered me like an older brother not that it bothers me with you But like in a way that got to me where I was like, oh it got me again You know like and so when you were on set messing with us or if you were in one of those moods where you were trying to break people I would really try hard to not let you get me. Yeah, and that and it felt like a way I could be victorious against you like I could beat you at your game and

And I would really try hard. - Smart. - And I didn't always win, but I got, but sometimes I did. - No, because when you, out of the corner of your eye, you see Ronnie Hyde doing this. - Ronnie would be shaking the camera. - It was Ronnie who would break you. - Yeah. - Ronnie would be just back in shape. Ronnie would break me. - But there were plenty of times where, you know, where we were, and I was gonna say, you know, the only thing I remember about the clips was going back to my trailer and finding them on the back of my shirt. I would always find them on my shirt, be like,

- You made it all the way to your trailer? - I would get all the way to my trailer to change. I would go to change in my trailer and I'd be taking off my shirt and be like, what's that thing clacking on my back? Oh, Barry! - I love that. - And that's all, I never remember getting you

I remember like it was hard to get me but I could never get you I could never get like Participate well, and I was always a victim of the clip It's funny that I actually had a time where Mike my wardrobe was so I didn't like if my words tube Yeah, no, it was too baggy or was too many layers. I'd like no cuz I will get like I have a jacket on or layers. It's gonna be I won't feel that and so yeah, I

- That's so funny. - Well, the layered look is really popular. - I can't believe you walked all the way back to your trailer. - Oh yeah, I would always find him changing in the trailer and just be like, "How long has it been there?" - And Mac, gosh, Mac, what do I love about Mac? - Oh man. - Well, what I love about you, Mac, is I love, I'm slowly starting to get to know you a little bit as an adult. And I really love that because

What I loved about you when you were first on the show, we were all first on the show, when you were on the show is that you were really truly just a kid. You weren't coming in as this seasoned kid actor. I'm sure you had done some stuff or whatever, but you were like, I love that you were truly just a kid. And it must have been so...

I remember thinking, wow, it must be so weird for her to kind of be in this, at the beginning in this environment. Everything was weird at that age. Yeah. Like, you know. But I just. I was still getting used to what the routine of. Of life. Of life in general. Yeah. And then I'm working at this age or whatever it is. Some kids start working all over the world at that age. No, no, no. It's just different. No, but I love. What I loved is I love that you were like, you were like truly just like a kid. Yeah. You were like a kid. Same thing.

You know, you had been acting. David had been acting. And I don't know how, because you were so young when you started. How old were you? Six or five. Six. I mean, yeah. Had you worked on other stuff before? Just two commercials. Right. I still didn't know what actors were. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But that's what I love. There was like this crazy, awesome sort of like innocence because of...

You weren't like jaded, jaded and like overly trained or something like that. Do you know what I mean? I know you worked with Don and stuff like that, which that was after we started and they realized that they needed help. Well, I can't give you can't give somebody that age like too much dialogue or anything like that. I mean, it's funny that you were saying that because I did this show in Vancouver and a daughter that played that was six years.

And I'll never forget, we did the pilot and we did the second episode and she was so great in the pilot, but she had like six weeks to work on it. She just nailed all her stuff. She's nailed it. She had all the dialogue down, all the dialogue down. And so they're like, oh my God, she's so great. Oh, the second episode, let's write her like a two page monologue. That's really funny. And she sat there and she started crying. I just remember going, oh God, no, no, no. I said, everybody get off set, get off set. And then I remember talking to the writer and the director and I was like, no, no, no, you can't,

Like, you guys, because she had six weeks to prep for the pilot, and now she's had one week to do this. You can't expect her to do what she did on the pilot every week. You know, it's just not going to happen. Especially when you're shooting. I mean, you get, like, a small window of... Yeah, I mean, I just remember it just broke my heart. The practice. And I was thinking about that. It made me actually think about you when you started. But I don't think Brenda ever overloaded you too much at the beginning. No, I was never overloaded. Yeah. It increased...

As I got older, which is appropriate. Yeah. You know, certain scenes were longer and more intense than others. But Dawn was wonderful. Yeah, she was great. And...

We were talking about just memorizing the lines. For me, if I didn't do it the night before and sleep on it, it would take me 10 times as long and it would never be fully. But if I ran it, I could learn a three-page scene and have it mostly memorized really by running through it twice. Yeah. And I would know where...

where on the page that line was, how long it was, how wide it was, like what it physically looked like on the page. Then when I was responsible for doing it myself and Dawn was not there, that's when I started using sides. And I was like, I can do this in the morning. Yeah. Sure. You're right. But to answer baby girl 91s,

Thing about love. I just love these guys. And I'm just really happy and proud to have been part of their lives. And hopefully I wasn't.

It's good to hear that I was somewhat of a good influence. You were such a cool older brother to have. We love you, Bear. None of us had an older brother, and I think all of us wanted one, and you were just professional, and you did exactly what you set out to do, if that was to set a good example. And I think we all loved being in your presence, and some of us got that opportunity more than others, but I got really excited when I got to work with you. Ah, that's so sweet.

Well, I'm your older brother forever. Yeah. Yeah. Sorry. Yeah. Yeah. We have an older brother. Yeah. His name is Michael. Michael. I guess. Oh, wow, guys. It's over? I mean, you can come back. I don't know. Maybe. Maybe. We'll see. We'll see. Join us next time on Catching Up with the Camptons.
