All right, welcome in. Michael Roy and Q Blake in the morning. Glad you're with us. Got a fun show for you today. We need to kick around fall camp with some schools inside, outside the SEC. We'll do that with a couple guests today. Fozzie Whitaker, former Texas running back, talks Texas running back situation with us at 8 o'clock. TJ Baxter going to be out for the year. That's a big loss. Greg and I haven't actually discussed that together on the show. Talked about it a little bit Tuesday when it came out.

We'll hit it a little bit more today. Roddy Jones covers the ACC. Some interesting SEC-ACC matchups, specifically early in the year. Get an update on some of those teams in that league.

One of the teams we talked about yesterday, will they make the college football playoff? Miami? We'll ask Roddy Jones. His thoughts on the Hurricanes heading into this season. And Brett Chances of Pick 6 Preview is going to join us at 9.30 today. We'll ask him just his thoughts on a couple of these teams heading into this season. Get sort of a big picture look of this upcoming college football season. We had NFL preseason last night. Some Major League Baseball that we'll get to. Braves continue to struggle.

Just a little bit. It was a blowout win last night. 16-7 Brewers, GMAC. You mad? No. No. As the guy on this show that likes the Braves the most? Saw some it-might-be-time-to-fire snicker tweets last night. Wow. Was Landon the one tweeting them? I don't believe so. No. But did see that. It may be time for a change. Probably because it's him. It's his fault that all this went down.

Definitely. It's totally his fault that all these guys got hurt. He didn't win a championship a couple years ago or anything. Makes sense to me. Should definitely send him packing. I'd be great with that. Stay with Major League Baseball real quick. Are you guys good with Braves Reds at Bristol Speedway in 2025? As long as Reds win, I don't really care. Bristol Motor Speedway? Yeah. That's what Elliot De La Cruz is for. Go check their attendance numbers or not, but...

That's every major league team, by the way. No. Except for big games on the weekends. Yes. Oh, I forgot Dodgers sell out every day. Watch any weekday major league. Boston sells out every day. I was watching Brewers Braves yesterday, and there was about 190 people there. Consider who is in the game. The Braves. The Brewers are 65 and 49. They're great. I understand that. Not necessarily known as one of the biggest...

baddest, most hardcore fan bases and the Braves. Right. Like I said, you got to have a couple of the big teams. If you're going to draw like that's pretty much it. Otherwise attendance is super average. Yes. Well, you didn't say that. You said it's a big game on the weekend. I mean, listen, I'll put Yankees games on almost every night and some of the attendance during the week, no matter who they're playing is embarrassing. Well, that's New York. The Boston will sell out and Chicago Cubs will sell out pretty much every day.

There's no way the Cubs are selling out every day. Maybe not every day. No way. They're playing 11-0-5 first pitches against the Cardinals. It's not a sellout. I was watching when we were in Boston the other day. We were watching the Red Sox game. I'm telling you, it's Tuesday. It's like

And there's, there's the stands are full. I know it's a small venue. I get it. Fenway is not big, not crazy attendance numbers that are required to fill it up. It's filled up. That sucker is filled up every dang day. But yeah, you're right. I mean, basically this is the way my way of giving a lot of heat to no, it's Damien's reds and the brew crew and the, and the Braves and Braves. I thought the Braves had the biggest fan base. I mean, here they do.

Usually in October. It usually is around October. You don't say. Yeah, that's when we see it. Almost like they're not that big of fans. They just become fans when the team's relevant. They call it Choptober. That's when they usually dial in. Lived here a long time. Lived here about, not my whole life, but longer than anywhere else I've lived. May have more time to chop their vegetables in October. The Braves are very, very love-hate, hot-cold relationship with a lot of folks. It's okay. It's a day-by-day thing. Yeah, it's okay.

Don't be like I'm a diehard Braves fan when you haven't watched a game since the World Series two years ago. Well, there was like a ballet sports issue, so they really couldn't. Even if they wanted to find the Braves, they couldn't find them. Totally fair. I thought they were on TBS. Occasionally. By the way, 36 hits over the last two games and were outscored 34-12 in the series against the Brewers. Yeah. The wild part is they had good pitching in the first half.

And it's just kind of runners in scoring positions have been miserable. And then obviously that pitching is on a pretty steep decline. So we'll see how it goes. For the Braves, Angels take out the Yankees yesterday. Yankees now 68-48. Braves 60-54 on the season. Olympics yesterday. United States squeaks one out against Serbia, 95-91. We don't talk a ton of basketball on the show, but...

But this was awesome yesterday. I don't know if you were watching it, Craig. I was watching it. Craig's coming back. Right when my kid got home. So he was into it, watching Steph and LeBron. And first thing that I took away from this, and I don't know, maybe we need to ask Wimp this next time he comes on. I don't know who we could get on to discuss this. I'm not dialed in on regular Olympic basketball. Yeah. Good God they were letting those guys play yesterday. Yeah.

I mean, guys were getting thrown into the... That's my kind of basketball right there. Yeah, it's different overseas. I mean, it wasn't just touch somebody foul. I mean, these guys were destroying people on screens, running through screens, and no foul called. I loved it, for one. But it was cool to see late, no matter if you're a fan of them or not, whatever it was, essentially...

And I saw a lot of stuff on social after the game that it was, you know, LeBron and Steph kind of took this thing over. But you got to give Embiid a lot of credit. He had some big jumpers down the stretch in that game yesterday. Some massive jumpers. Embiid was big. Durant hit a couple of big shots. And LeBron just decided a couple of times he was going to the rim. There's nothing you can do about it. And then Steph hits a couple of big shots as well. But I'll say this. Jokic had him on his back for a while.

I mean, he was just like, just find a way to feed it to me and we'll get it in there somehow, some way. And then a couple dudes hit some threes for the Serbs and it wasn't enough. But that was cool to watch yesterday, G-Man. It was a great game. And it was cool to see those guys in an all-star situation. Naturally, I mean, that team is an all-star team. To have their back against the wall a little bit. Like, how often do we see...

the Team USA basketball team struggling and needing to come together and show greatness and show resilience. Like, it's not often that we see that. It's actually pretty rare. So I'm not super into the hoops up to this point because it just hasn't been very compelling because the games haven't been very compelling, not super competitive. Yesterday, I was all in. I didn't miss a second of it down the stretch when I got to

The notification on my phone, the Team USA was trailing. I was like, all right, I'll take a peek at it and then stay with it all the way through because it was a pretty tremendous comeback. So that was really entertaining. What did it get to? They were down 17? 17. But they were down 11 with like under five minutes. Yeah. I was like, I was watching with my son and I'm like, two more baskets here and this is trouble zone. Like we got a problem.

but they're able to come back and they rally. Trailed for over 35 minutes of the game last night, 36 for Steph last night. LeBron, first player in Olympic history to have multiple triple doubles in the Olympics, 16, 12, and 10 yesterday. So they reached the gold medal game for a fifth consecutive Olympics. It'll take on France in Saturday's final at 2.30. Uh-oh. You talk about a hostile environment. You don't say. You're right. They're going to use the whole country. Wee-wee.

I felt like, and once again, not an Olympic basketball expert, I felt like the Serbs were the toughest challenge. That was going to be the one because those guys have been playing together for like eight years. We know Jokic is amazing. They play a little bit different brand of basketball, but I think U.S. gets the gold. But they're going to have to play. I mean, we don't think these officials are going to be leaning. Wow. You got a Frenchman here? You got conspiracy? Absolutely. Penalty vulture. If they're going to let them play, I'd say –

Go at him early. If they're going to let him play, I would probably just take Wimby and just break him in half. What is he, 7'2"? He is. 180? Just get Embiid going early, feed him in the post. There we go. Get LeBron going straight at him. A couple of elbows here and there. One other thing that I noticed about this game, and listen, I was a big fan of his early. There are some things that have been on me recently. Whatever, it doesn't matter. You can say what you want about him off the field. No.

There was a large portion of that fourth quarter where LeBron James decided to defend Jokic one-on-one and made it a real problem for Jokic. I gained a lot of respect for LeBron for doing that yesterday. He basically just said, I'll take him. You got Embiid just sitting over there. And LeBron's like, I'll post him up. No double team. He's not coming down here. And he didn't. That was impressive to me to watch yesterday. All right, moving on from that.

Going to be impressive to see what we get out of scrimmages this weekend, Greg. This is like first full scrimmage weekend for college football's fall practice. Do you want to learn something? Can we take something away here? Like, let's start specifically with Alabama.

Is quarterback still a little bit of a question? Do you want to see, kind of hear about Milrow doing some different things? Some of the young receivers apparently coming along, Jeremy Bernard continuing to be kind of the guy that a lot of us thought he was going to be. Ryan Williams looks like he might be able to help this team in the fall. Five-star freshman going to be exciting to see what he can actually do. But what's, I guess the big question heading into the first scrimmage for the Crimson tide. Biggest question is probably the receiver pecking order for me. Um,

Linebacker depth kind of documented that a little bit last time around. Sounds like Justin Jefferson's kind of coming on a little bit, but he's just not a guy that's going to be able to thump. He's fast and can run. I think he's a really viable option in subsets, but I think that linebacker depth, right tackle, naturally, and wide receiver, the three. I'm not super concerned about the secondary yet,

Um, because a lot of the guys that are playing premier positions, I'm going to gain more from them after the second scrimmage. And then frankly, the first game, it's just too early for some of these guys. You know, if they had been through, all of them had played football together all spring, but they made more additions after the spring window. And I just think it's a little too early to judge the defensive backs in the first scrimmage, second scrimmage fair. Um,

Even first game against Western Kentucky, that's when they'll be judged. But I think that if they get gassed, like absolutely gashed this weekend, I'm not going to press the panic button just yet. Sure. Can you take anything away about the secondary through the scrimmage? Or would that be like a real thing or no? I mean, you can. I mean, I'm just going to be paying a little more attention to the wide receivers because I would think that...

The secondary is still very much a work in progress. The wide receivers, you got to dance as a run. Yeah, like it is what it is. Like, I don't know how much better they're going to be able to gel. I mean, will the chemistry get better between Ryan Williams and Jalen Milrow as the season gets closer? Sure. Yeah, it will. But yeah,

He's already been through a spring with Jeremy Bernard. I want to see pitch and catch. I want to see accurate throws. I want to see guys create separation consistent with their depths on their routes. Those would be the things I'd be paying attention to if I were killing a boar. The attention to details at this point of the fall camp would be really valuable. So I'm not super concerned about the secondary. If they get gashed, I'm going to probably think that that's a good thing. I know it's going to sound kind of crazy. You never want to see...

One part of your team excelling against another. But if they get gashed, I'm totally fine with it. Because that means the wide receivers probably had a pretty dang good day. Right. And it sounds like if you're Alabama right now, some of the good news is the offensive line is beginning to figure itself out.

Proctor seems to be back with the ones. And even though you'll probably still have a little bit of a battle for swing tackle or maybe allow form B to find a way to where he might be able to get reps or be a guy at one of the two spots. Running back seems to be a strength right now. Both Miller and Haynes having good camps. So they're...

regardless of what the receiver pecking order is or how Milrow is actually taken to this offense, there are parts of it that seem like they're at least coming together pretty quickly. And that's always good news. I think that, I think it is. Um,

I think he's still going to have some natural inaccuracies from time to time compared to some of the guys that DeBoer's had in the past. That's okay because none of the guys in the past have been able to create like Milrow's been able to create. Put it this way, Lamar Jackson doesn't have to be as accurate as Tom Brady.

Why? Because Lamar Jackson can do things Tom Brady can't do. No, it's a great point. Everyone's like, oh, Lamar, he misses throws. Yeah, okay, cool. Did you see what he did? Did you see the linebackers freaking out because he got outside the pocket and had a step? Yeah, I mean...

I think that there's a little bit of an unfair characterization about how we assess guys' accuracy and need for high-level accuracy when they're able to do special things with the ball in their hands. They don't have to subscribe. If they do, great, you have Mahomes. Once in a generation. Once in a... Guys that can just throw with Brady accuracy and can be as creative as Lamar.

But most of the time, it's not really that way. I mean, you're going to have guys that can extend plays. You're going to have guys that can do different things. Like Brady has to live in sequence with precision. And that's not really, that's not Jalen's game. That's not a lot of guys' game. So it'll be interesting, I think, to see how the offense continues to evolve and how much they continue to put him in a position to,

be successful in the downfield throws, which is something that he's always very comfortable with. But I do think it's the underneath and the intermediate accuracy. I do think there are still some misses that occasionally pop up that you had hoped would be a thing of the past at this point, but it's just kind of who he is. And that's okay because you don't want to change who he is that much because he's already a really good player. Absolutely. All right. So we'll talk some Auburn scrimmage on the other side, kind of see,

Where this thing needs to go, what we're looking for in that one. If you want to be a part of the show, 800-239-9569, 800-239-WJOX. Text into the show, 205-834-9450, and you can be a part that way. Always tweet in, at Mac and Cube. Always have Waynes on standby.

Had the boys after school yesterday hitting some baseball in the backyard. Didn't have to worry about the mosquitoes because we've got the Mosquito Plus program from Wayne's in our backyard. Keeps the mosquitoes away from our yard, porch, patio, all those outdoor spaces. Thanks to Wayne's. Mosquitoes, fleas, ticks can carry diseases for pets and people. Don't want them around your home.

Wayne's offers four great services for your home and Mosquito Plus being one of them. GMAC that I know a lot of people in this area are going to be interested in. Yeah, Mosquito Plus is great, man. I know it's probably, of all the services I get from Wayne, it's probably my favorite. I notice it the least.

Which is intentional. Because I don't ever get bit. If I got bit, I'd notice the fact that, man, there's mosquitoes everywhere. Well, I know when I go to other friends' houses that don't have wains and they have mosquitoes all over the place, I definitely notice it. And I grow to appreciate that mosquito plus even more. Also love the EnviroPest knowing they put up that safe, child-friendly, pet-friendly...

perimeter around your house. It's environmentally safe. And right now, if you sign up with the pest control, you're going to get the fire ant treatment absolutely free. There's nothing worse than running through your yard, stepping on an ant bed and getting smoked up and down your ankle. So go and check them out right now. 866-WAINDS1.

Visit callwaynes.com and let Waynes continue to create your happy place. All right, so I'm going to take a break. When we come back, we'll talk Auburn scrimmage this weekend. What are we looking for? What are we hearing? What do we need to see? There's some camp news involving injuries that we need to get to as well. Top three end of this hour. Fozzie Whitaker coming up at 8 o'clock. Keep it locked right here on Mac and Cube in the morning. All right, welcome back in. McIlroy and Kubelik in the morning. 722 a.m. Friday, August 9th right here on JOX 94.5.

Everyone's winner when you dare to compare. In store at MyBobs.com. Named one of the best personal finance podcasts, The Stacking Benjamin Show with Joe and his friends makes financial literacy fun. We see money inefficiency OG around us all the time. We've got a few skeletons sitting out in the open and maybe we need to broom them into the closet, if you know what I mean. Nope, take that out. What is...

Whatever you were going for didn't land right. Who's got a shovel and some lime? Maybe you need to do that with your financial picture. I don't know. Find out more by searching the Stacking Benjamins podcast wherever you listen. Pitbull might shop at Bromberg's, actually. I could see if he was in town, he'd be heading over there and try to find some bling. Don't know if you saw this or not, GMAC, but FIU's football stadium for the next five years is going to be named Pitbull Stadium. Yes, 1.2 a year. How do you feel about it? Money well spent.

What I'm trying to figure out is, like, does he need the promotion or is he just supporting FIU? Because if he's supporting FIU, all for it. He certainly doesn't need the notoriety. Pitbull is a stud. I mean, he's Mr. Worldwide for a reason. You don't have to like his music, but he's all over the place. His music is whatever. I'm not necessarily. I wouldn't say I'm, like, a huge fan of his music, but this guy's a good businessman. He knows what he's doing. Here's your top three, Damien. Top three Pitbull songs.

I'm not sure I can get to three, but we'll figure it out. I guarantee when you go to the list, you'll be like, oh, yeah, forgot about that one. He's going to be one of those guys that has, and I'm not saying they're your favorite songs, but he's going to be one of those guys that has a lot more smash hits than you reckon. Maybe, but he is an incredible businessman. He's had made incredible investments and, like,

P. Diddy or whatever. I don't want to talk about what's going on lately. I don't care about that. You open this one up, man. Wow. Here we go. I'm just suggesting his music. But his music did not reflect his net worth as a result of what he did from a business standpoint.

was significant Dr Dre comparable Dre I would say as a producer of course a lot more hits um but his business acumen is what separated like Jay-Z didn't become a billionaire because he you know because of Empire State of Mind like no he became a billionaire because he's great in business and I think Pitbull is on his way that dude is sharp really sharp but that goes without saying

But I was with you when I saw it. I was kind of like, okay, what's the end game here? Is this just supporting FIU? If so, that's great. And listen, it's great for FIU. I mean, that's a nice little infusion of cash to be able to help support your program that you're going to be able to do some different things with. And it also kind of fits. I mean, you're there in South Florida and you're FIU. You're a program trying to grow a little bit more. I would love to know what some of the –

contingencies in the contract are about playing his music in the stadium because I'm imagining there's got to be a pretty decent amount of it that gets going, which is not terrible either, but we'll see. I'm not sure. They did have Miami Vice night last year. I was on the call for that one. I remember that game. They got smoked by UTEP.

They did. I remember that game vividly. It had to be absolutely beat. This would be statewide receiver now? It was probably, and I won't say... You played freshman quarterback too, though. It was the worst quarterback performance I've ever seen. Since Sean... The worst quarterback... Worst ever? Yes. The worst quarterback performance I've ever seen. Seriously.

I think he hit one throw and ended up going for a touchdown. It wasn't good. It was the worst quarterback. The worst one I ever saw was Sean Withey Allen in the Hawaii Bowl for Hawaii in 2002. That was the second worst now. Sean Withey Allen was third. Sean Withey Allen's two. The guy last year in your game, Miami Vice Knight, that was one. Do we have a three just right off the top of your head? Yeah, I can probably think of a third.

either way i'll resist the urge to go down that rabbit hole but i do wonder how much promotion is he getting i guess you get some of the return on just people talking about it like we are and so that that that moves around a little bit and helps out all right but like i said betty would go check out brahmar if he was in town and you probably should too that's true uh yes and he i mean he's spent six million dollars the same you don't need to spend six million dollars at brahmar that's that's aggressive um

But I tell you what, they have things for every possible budget. I've shopped there for years. Ever since we moved back, it's been my destination for Mother's Day, Christmas,

I'd be lying. I don't think my wife goes anywhere for Father's Day, but that's all right. Mother's Day, Thanksgiving. I mean, if we need a gift for someone that we love, whether it's a newborn, a baby gift, Christmas. I mean, I think every single gift I bought my wife in the last eight years has been from Bromberg's.

I keep going back because I keep having a great experience. I walk in. I feel like I'm family. I know these people. I know them by name. I know their story. I know how many kids they have. They know how many kids I have.

They know what Meredith likes. And I know, too, that they can also do those custom pieces for you by their master jeweler, Philip Flanagan. So go and check them out. This is a group that's been around for 188 years. Think about that. 188 years they have been serving this community. It's one of the oldest stores, one of the oldest companies, family-owned businesses in the country.

Go and have that luxury shopping experience in one of their two locations in Mount Brook Village or the Summit, or you can go online at Brombergs.com and Brombergs. Business since 1936 and enjoy that luxury shopping experience. All right, so Auburn will scrimmage this weekend. A lot of the eye is going to be on Peyton Thorne and just kind of...

how he's improved, some of the things that he's done, G-Mac. Should that be the focal point, though? Should it be Peyton Thorne? Should it be more on the receivers, the offensive line? We know what the running back situation will be. I think we're pretty confident that'll be solid. I'm watching the wideouts. I mean, everyone freaks out about Peyton Thorne. Like, I've seen Peyton Thorne play high-level football. You know who I haven't seen play high-level football, like at the college level? Cam Coleman. I know he's got five stars, and I think he's going to be good. I'm sure he should be great. I hope he is. It'd be awesome.

but I've seen Peyton Thorne play high level football. I've seen it. Like, I know we can do it. I know it's in there. Um, I have not seen the wide receivers together collectively alongside Peyton Thorne. So I'm very interested in watching that position group, uh, would like to probably watch the pass rush a little bit too. Um,

What do they have there? That'll be something I'm paying attention to. But if I'm thinking about one or two things from Auburn scrimmage, it's definitely those two. Wide outs and pass rush are probably top of the list. Okay. So day before yesterday, I saw a little bit of a clip from down at Auburn practice and some of the individuals talking about Peyton Thornton and his improvement. Davis Baker of WSFA had this report yesterday.

Talking to Keontae Scott, Jeremiah Cobb, and Brendan Frazier about what they have seen from Peyton Thorne.

So if some of that has happened, Greg, you know, like you said, we've seen high level football from him before. He had some good weapons around him. It looks like he'll have better weapons this year. Maybe we get an idea this weekend of just what Peyton Thorne looks like. And if he can direct that offense, I'm kind of with you a little bit of the offensive line I'm interested in, but defensive line, how disruptive can they be? Can they get to the quarterback consistently? Can the edges hold up against the run consistently? Cause the edges are going to be at least on one side light defensively.

That's a little bit of an issue that I have. Linebacking core, feel pretty confident in. Got to stay healthy, though.

Got to have your bodies out there ready to go and being able to play, being able to assist. So some of the things that I think I'll be watching from that Auburn scrimmage, and we'll have notes for you. We'll have discussions on it come Monday with everything that took place over the weekend from Auburn and Alabama practice. Some injury news and the impact that we think that may have on their upcoming season. Our team of the day today, Oklahoma State. Will they make the college football playoff? That's a part of the discussion as well. All next right here on Mac and Cube in the morning.

Welcome back in. McElroy and Kublik in the morning, 736 a.m. right here on JOX 94.5. Top three coming in our next segment. See if Damien goes the direction of my suggestion. We haven't had a chance to talk about some of the things happening around camp. GMAC, we've been just kind of in different places doing a couple of different things. CJ Baxter out for the year at Texas. And a young man that we know has ability, has talent, and...

Texas didn't necessarily have to lean on a running back last year with the way that they sort of move things around, but Jonathan Brooks still went over 1,100 yards. Baxter, as a freshman, 138 for 659, five touchdowns, expected to be sort of the guy this year, even with Jaden Blue still on the roster.

He was the one that we expected to get the bulk of the carries. Now he's going to be gone. How much does this change your opinion of the Longhorns heading into this season? It's definitely a cloud in what's been a pretty good offseason. With what they've added in the portal, it's really kind of the first time where it's like, all right, well, this is a huge bummer. They've had quality depth at several different positions, so I'm not going to lose a ton of sleep over the possibility of Jaden Blue being thrust now.

now into a starting role. I mean, Jaden Blue at times was a star last year. But all that being said, this is a pretty significant loss. I mean, Baxter's highly recruited, highly regarded prospect coming out of high school. So it would just kind of be nice to have seen him with the lion's share of the carries. Remember, this is a guy that beat out Jonathan Brooks in camp last year. I mean, to beat out Jonathan Brooks in camp and then

to ultimately give way to Jonathan Brooks. But Jonathan Brooks, as of middle of the year last year, was the best back in the sport. So it just stinks that he's not going to be available. I hate it. Well, and it also goes to for the folks that will say, oh, well, you have these other options and there are other bodies there. But

He's been getting the work. He's been getting the reps. He's the one that has been standing next to the quarterback behind the offensive line. And so now it still becomes a little bit new for whoever else it is or newer to guys opposite Jane blue. So that that's something that complicates it maybe just a little bit more, but it's a tough blow right here in the season. I want to go back to early in the week and Notre Dame losing left tackle Charles Jagasaw. Yeah. Um,

This is a big blow because this is a group that we already had some question marks about. We kind of wondered about. He was the guy at left tackle. There was no debate. There was no discussion. I mean, he was going to hold it down. And now you have to move some pieces around and try to make that work. Notre Dame, big hit for them as well. Granted, early in camp, had only been in pads for one day.

Not even sure he actually was there for that day, depending on when the injury actually took place and when they actually got on the field. But how big impact is that for the Irish? Massive. This one is bad. Not because the Irish can't adequately fortify and put together an offensive line.

But, dude, I mean, they were already thin at tackle to begin with. Yeah. And now you're putting a guy in that's never really played. There's a highly regarded prospect in 2020 class, Tosh Baker. He's huge. Look how big. 6'8", 320. Man, I mean, here's the problem. Like, you look at Bama. Let's just use him as an example. Bama's tackles, if they don't play well, they have 255-pound, 260-pound tight ends to help them out.

If you look at Notre Dame's tight ends, they have good tight ends, but Mitchell Evans is arguably their best weapon. Eli Raritan is a pass catcher. These guys are not the guys that you want.

you know, chipping off the line of scrimmage and pass pro. These are not the guys you want that are end of the line of scrimmage, knocking guys off the ball in a double team. Like that's not who they are. That's you need Mitchell Evans to be a factor in the passing game. Right? So if they had, if they had tight ends that were, you know, hammers, if you will, that could help you out on the edges, I wouldn't be as concerned, but I think this is a big blow, huge blow.

for a left tackle to go out. Do you think Notre Dame's going to be close to where they've been at running back the last couple years with Love and Price? Yes. Okay. Because that can help, too. I mean, make no mistake. You get a back that... They're not going to be as physical as us, to me. Right. But he could help out in different ways, also, not just carrying the football. So that's a massive blow, and it's one that I think changes some people's opinion on Notre Dame, maybe what they can be, will be. But...

Speaking of pass catchers, Chris Mitchell comes in from FIU. That was the one that you referenced, the one touchdown reception that they did have in the game against UTEP. And some of the other younger receivers apparently looking pretty good for Notre Dame. I hear that every year. I mean, I got pretty good connections to Notre Dame. I'm sure you do too. Every year I'm like, oh, hey, the receivers are coming on. Heard it every year. And it's like, oh, well, all right. I'll believe it when I see it. And then week one, they smoke Navy.

And you're like, oh my goodness, they got him. Jaden Greathouse, baby. Big year. Fresh and All-American. Let's ride. Only to fast forward six weeks later and he's not even a factor in the offense hardly anymore. So I really hope it is because Riley Leonard needs it. Like Sam Hartman was pretty accurate. Like he could probably get around it, but Riley Leonard needs some good wideouts. Yes. We'll get to one more. Then there are a couple of others that I want to hit a little bit later in the show.

You referenced it with Notre Dame. I will raise your... Nebraska starting left tackle, Teddy Prochaska. Prochaska. Prochaska. He's Czech. You should know this. I am Croatian by descent. Another knee out for the year. Third time in four years, man. You hate to see that. Brutal. 6'10", 315. But was plugged in to be the starting left tackle, so...

Apparently, Dylan Rayola looking great in camp. Offense looking pretty good, but now you're down a left tackle. And again, another group that I just don't think has a lot of capable bodies ready to just step in and be okay there. But...

Nebraska having to deal with their starting left tackle being out as well, G-Mac. Yeah, that's too bad, too, because their offensive line was fine last year. I don't recall it being bad. I'd probably have to go back and buzz it. It's okay. I'll watch it a little bit. Yeah, it's fine. They're really better on defense, really, at all three levels. Defensive line is better than the offensive line. But I do think that

This Nebraska team has a chance to make a little noise. I'm not suggesting that they're going to get to 10 wins or anything, but I think they can definitely get to seven. But they're not that deep. Then they really need to kind of stay healthy. And look, you're going to lose guys. That happens. It's just you hate to lose them at key positions. And Prohaska is a guy that they had plans for.

No doubt. So tough to fill some of those voids of certain players that are already going to be gone for the season for certain teams. Going to get to our top three on the other side. I'm not saying it's on all my playlists, but it's not a bad song. I would agree. This is a good one. I've had a couple fun nights in this song. Exactly.

Feels very New Year's Eve-ish. I can tell you exactly what it feels. It feels a little bit like being on IR in New York. Oh, wow. Oh, this is personal. No. I didn't have to go to the hotel on Saturdays. My problem. I couldn't play the next day. I had a cast on my hand. Felt a little like that and feels a little bit like Vegas.

Just saying. It feels a little Vegas-y. Every time I hear that song, whether you've heard it in Vegas or not. That feels specific, but it's okay. I have certain songs like that. Yeah, you interpret it as you will. Like, yeah, I know for a fact I was in Aria listening to that song at some point. Yeah, that feels about right. There's an Avril Lavigne song that every time I hear it, I literally picture myself playing Caribbean Stud at the Palms. Really? To the wee hours in the morning. That's amazing. Because we had about a 14-hour run on that table.

Ryan Hooker was my teammate at Auburn. We were there. There's a reason that most casinos don't have Caribbean stud anymore. I'll just tell you that. There are certain advantages that can be had. Not sure why it took them so long to figure that out either.

I felt like we had it that night. Get tailgate ready, Royal Automotive. Hunky was never allowed to go back and... I did not say that. ...go to the Vegas hotel. No, I did not say that. I did not say that that was the case, but there may have been a reason that they invited me to their blackjack tournament a couple weeks later and offered to fly me out because we had a good night. Got it, baby. I'm going to get it back. It wasn't Pitbull good, but it was Avril Lavigne good.

I feel like that song was in a three-song rotation at the table that night. Love it. But either way, tailgate ready. Royal Automotive. Help you experience how car buying should be. There's Royal. Top three comes to you each and every day. Some days sensical, most days not. Damian, what's on our top three agenda today? I'm going to lean into your suggestion. What are your top three Pitbull songs?

You had a chance to go back through the catalog there, which is going to probably take me a few minutes. So I'm going to allow you to kick us off here. Number three for me, give me everything. 2011, by the way. Did I nail it? That felt like New York. And that was 100% off. Golly. It's 15 years old. How good is music? What song is this song playing right now? This is Timber. I'm not going to know the names of a lot of these. It's Timber.

Oh, this has got the lady in it. This is not a good song. Yeah, you better move, you better dance. What song did you just say before the first one? Give Me Everything, the one we came back to. Okay, got it. Yeah, yeah. Second one would be Timber, and number one for me is Hotel Room Service. See, I got to hear it. It's, meet me at the hotel room if you need your girlfriend to meet me. That one gets people going. Exactly. Play that song if you can find it. That gets the folks going.

I feel like Time of Our Lives is a good song. It's there. This is hotel room service. Is this hotel, motel, holiday, inn? This would not be the top three for me. This is like prototypical Pitbull right here. Exactly. See, if you're going to listen to Pitbull, this is what you want, though. You kind of want some of the corny Miami, like...

weird horns remix like ham horns. I mean, his stuff is what you want. Exactly. You can say what you want. Like, it's funny. I'm like looking at the years though. It's like he's got some long gym. I was in the NFL. We, I mean, this is what we listened to is what we had going. Like we were, I mean, this was playing on after you, after we won in Miami, I think we played pit bull the whole flight home. He's like, this is ridiculous.

Were those like the two and three win Miami teams? They weren't great. Humble Brown. Revis tore his ACL in Miami in 12. Not great. Not great. It's catchy. All right. I'm going to go Fireball. I know you want me. No, Fireball stinks. No, it doesn't. Oh, yeah. That was Pitbull. I completely forgot about that one. I know you want me. I know you want me. I completely forgot about that one. See? I didn't tell you. He was going to be one of those guys that when you start looking, you're like, oh, I

Man, this dude's got a lot of hits. Right. His features are actually... Can you play Don't Stop the Party? Can you go back and say that? Can you play Don't Stop the Party? I just can't remember. Play Don't Stop the Party. Also, I feel like Fun is one I need to hear because that one could have been a good one. I mean, it's been 10 years since I've listened to these regularly. Nobody knows what these really are, the names at least. But once they get going, they... I know Fireball. Fireball. How can you not like that song? Because Fireball's terrible. Is it?

Like the actual Fireball or the song? Fireball. It's not. Maybe a country in me, but Fireball and Sweet Tea. It's a nice combination. I'm going to take a flyer and go with Fun right there because I think that's the song that I'm thinking of, but it might not be, but that's going to be number three on my list.

I feel like I let you down right there. Did you get through your top three? Did you get through all three? I'm sorry. No. Damien, did you get through all three of them? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, yeah. Look at this. I just typed in Pitbull, and the first thing people ask, why is Pitbull so rich? Because he has a lengthy catalog of songs that a lot of people listen to. You don't have to like it. It doesn't mean he's not collecting checks. He's stamped. Which song is this? Don't Stop the Party. This ain't it. This ain't it.

Most downloaded songs via Apple Music. Time of Our Lives. DJ got us Falling in Love, which is not technically his. Give Me Everything. Give Me Everything is number one for me, Locke. Timber. Hotel Room Service. Timber is probably two. On the Floor. Featuring Pitbull by someone. Fireball. International Love. Feel This Moment. Hey Baby. I Like It.

That was Enrique Iglesias. This is it. Yeah, I knew this one. This is it. Yeah, this is number three. That was not the Vardy. See? It's another jam. It is. It gets the people going. That's exactly what it does. And I will say this. Early days of Pitbull, he started off as a quote-unquote rapper, like most people. He was featured in DJ Khaled's song, Holla at Me Baby. He had a nice verse. I will give him that. Okay. I like Pitbull. Is he not a rapper now? Listen to what he's doing right now. I wouldn't call this singing.

I don't know. More of a sound effects guy? Yeah. It's hard to put him in the rap category. But, I mean, if you listen to rap nowadays, anything is considered rap at this point. I'm glad you're able to admit that now. Oh, absolutely. Absolutely. I like Pitbull. But when I think of Miami, I think more Rick Ross than I do Pitbull. See, I think that's the thing with Miami. There are different Miamis. Yeah. I mean, that's similar to some certain other places, too. But, like, there are different New Yorks.

I mean, you had P. Diddy and Wu-Tang Clan at the exact same time. And then Biggie with Diddy that was even different than what he was trying to talk about. You can be... They're different boroughs. They're different hoods. They're different places. Represented in different ways through music. That is true. You lived in boroughs. You know. You did the game day special where you went to the Alabama bar in New York and talked about how cool it was. We all saw it. Yeah. What borough was that in?

Manhattan. Ah, yeah. Where the play is played. Midtown. Midtown, Manhattan, Aynworth. 26th and 8th. Oh. Okay, simple question up at Mac and Cube Twitter feed. Do we like Pitbull? Yeah. Yes or no? Simple enough. I'm interested to hear what the people think. I like Pitbull. I just don't know if I'm going to get in the car like, hey, man, put on that Pitbull for me. No one does that.

However, when it comes on, I think a lot of people are like, you know what? I can deal with this. This gets me going. I'm good. And that's what's going to happen at Pitbull Stadium. It's going to get those 2,000, 3,000 people going.
