If you know how to concentrate your efforts and be focused on one thing, you have an edge. If you can be focused on one thing and not look at everything else that everybody else is looking at, 50 different philosophies, 75 different ways to make money, 19 different streams of income. If you can figure out where to go here, all of that stuff's going to come your way. But if you go chase all the other stuff like everyone else is, you're going to miss the whole point of winning a life because you can't concentrate.

You show me anyone today who knows how to concentrate, I'll show you someone that nobody wants to compete with. How much longer are you going to wait? You're going to wait another 30 seconds? You're going to wait another minute? You're going to wait another hour? Maybe we'll start in a couple hours. You know what? How about I just wait until tomorrow? You're going to wait until tomorrow? You're going to wait another week? You're going to wait another month? How much longer are you going to wait? I need you to recycle your pay.

Because what you're going to discover as you're going towards your dream, as you're going towards your goal, there are going to be so many people that come up against you. So many obstacles, so many trials, so many tribulations. When people ask me, E.T., like for real, for real, E., I know you can give me 20 things that you've done to help yourself to become successful. But E.T., I just need like one or two. Can you give me one or two? And one of the things I tell people is, I'll last it to pay.

outlasted the pain. When I was sleeping in those abandoned buildings, I kept telling myself, one day you'll be a homeowner. Every time I walked into that abandoned building, I told myself that this might be your current circumstances, but this will not be how the story ends. All you have to do, E.T., is to survive today.

Survive today. I knew that I would not be a high school dropout for the rest of my life. I knew I got to get through this one day. And so every single day when I wake up homeless, one day, every single day when I woke up in that abandoned building, one day,

One day is going to be E.T.'s day, but that day can't come if I give up today. So every single day when I woke up, I kept telling myself today might not be the day, but soon it will be my day and I will recycle my pain. You keep standing. No matter how rough the sea, you keep standing. No matter what, you don't give up. You keep standing. 95% of our decisions are made by how you feel in the moment.

And that is the problem. Do you feel like getting up? No. Do you feel like making that cold call? No, you don't. Do you feel like doing that third set of reps? No, you don't. We make decisions based on our feelings and that is robbing you of joy and opportunity. Are you going to say you want to do something?

Do it for two weeks and then quit like you did last year, like you did the year before last. Get lit, drink alcohol, eat like crap and continue to live below who you were created to be. I hate it when I see young people wasting their time, wasting all this technology. Just sitting around in this world that's been created for you, that everything is instant. You all have stuff at your fingertips that can make you great.

At the end of your feelings is possibly nothing. But at the end of your principle is a promise. And some of you are where you are. If you could be real with yourself, you have gotten yourself in some mess because of your feelings. And here's the crazy part. All you got to do is look in the mirror. All you got to do is deal with yourself and then we're going to get to a whole other level. You will fail. You will likely fail often. It will be painful. It will be discouraging.

At times, it will test you to your very core. When things are going bad, there's going to be some good that will come from it. Mission got canceled? Good. We can focus on another one. Didn't get promoted? Good. More time to get better. Got injured? Good. Needed a break from training. Got beat? Good. We learned. Take that issue. Take that setback. Take that problem and turn it into something good. Go forward.

If you can say the word good, it means you're still alive. It means you're still breathing. It means you've still got some fight left in you. So get up, dust off, reload, recalibrate, re-engage, and go out on the attack.

If you're going to be successful in this game, you got to have a dog within you. You got to know it's a dog fight and you got to go get that fight. Life ain't going to be easy. Ain't nobody going to hand you nothing. You still got to go to work. You still got to compete against everybody in your industry. Life's still going to happen while you're trying to blow up.

I challenge you to see your problems as a great thing. I challenge you to start being thankful that you have the opportunity to grow, get stronger, get more focused, get more skilled, and kick more ass because of every hardship you face. What are you playing this game for? What's your passion? What's your drive? What's your purpose?

What's your purpose for playing this game? Why are you doing what you're doing? If y'all going to be great on that field, you got to have a why. You got to have a reason for why you do what you do. You are phenomenal. You are beyond measure. I need you to act like it. No alarm clock needed. My passion wakes me up. I ain't use the clock in 20 years. My passion wakes me up. My tribe wakes me up.

My determination was my ability to be doing whatever I want. It wakes me up. What wakes you up? What drives you? Why are you playing this game? Is it just a game? Or do you eat it? Do you sleep it? Do you drink it? Have you possessed the game? I ain't about to miss this opportunity. I'm about to get everything I got. And I will know if I don't get another gig, it won't have anything to do with the fact that I didn't put everything on the field.

I want to know what the I'm made of. I want to know what I can overcome. And I know from experience that the harder the task to overcome, the more strength I'm going to gain from it. These are the days that test your fortitude. They test your endurance, your grit, your dedication, your determination, your mental toughness, your character.

You are testing your ability to do something. And that something is something critical to your dreams at the very moment when everything in you wants to do absolutely nothing. When you'd rather die than

then send another email or take another phone call or talk to another human. You got to get the job done. It's an opportunity to prove what you're made of. It's an opportunity to prove you are what you say you are in your head. When you look in the mirror and you say, there goes a bad mother, you actually believe it. I would love to tell you that on the road to success, everything is going to work out. It's not, it's going to be a dog fight.

On the road to success, I lost five odds to cancer. It's a dog fight. It hasn't been easy. It's a dog fight. The road hasn't been successful. It's just a paved road. Each heat go this way. It's been rough. It's been crooked. It's been...

But I've made up in my mind that I will get a reward for the pain that I go through. I will not stop in the middle of the process. I will not be defeated. I will not be destroyed. I will take everything that happens in my life and I will allow the pain to push me to greatness. You will not break me.

You will not stop me. You will not defeat me. The only way I lose is if I quit. It's going to be a dog fight. You've got to continue to work on yourself personally. You've got to decide to be relentless. You've got to decide never to give up. You've got to find some reasons within yourself that will give you the stamina when life catches you on the blind side to get back up again, to keep on calling and coming back again and again and again.

There's always going to be a reason to wait. There's always going to be something that is inconvenient for you to work through. And there's always going to be a busy schedule. It's always going to be that way. You have to work through it. There's always going to be a reason for you to do what it takes now if you want it bad enough. But a lot of you motherfuckers just don't want it. Unless you're committed 100%, you just aren't going to make it.

The processes of success are always inconvenient in the beginning. They don't stay that way. If you stick with it, if you give it time, if you work through the inconveniences, they become habit. Stop waiting for something to move you and move yourself. Every day, move yourself. In the morning, move yourself. In the afternoon, move yourself. At night, move yourself. Be very intentional and very deliberate about moving yourself.
