Antonio Boggia, also known as the Monster of Milan, was the first Italian serial killer. Known for brutally murdering and dismembering his victims' bodies, Boggia's motive was not for sexual pleasure or power but purely for financial gain. He used his skills as a building contractor and his ability to speak multiple languages to deceive his victims. Despite inquiries into the disappearances, Boggia managed to evade suspicion for over a decade. When he was eventually caught and sentenced to death by hanging. The resulting execution was one of the last public hangings in Italy.
