1977 年,年轻的 Alton John 离开了和他长期合作的歌词搭档 Bernie Topping 和制作人 Garth Sturgeon 之身来到美国和著名的 Philadelphia Sound《沸腾之声》制作人 Tom Bell 合作录制了一张传奇的被称作 The Lost Album 的 EPThe Tom Bell Session 但是不知道什么原因专辑录制完成之后直到 1979 年才发表了其中的三首作品

这张完整的六首歌曲的 EP 直到 1989 年才正式发表我们现在听到的是在这张 EP 当中我个人最喜欢的一首歌曲 Are You Ready For Love 我第一次听到这首歌曲是在 2003 年 House 舞曲音乐制作人 Ashley Beedle 为这首歌曲制作了一个 House 舞曲的 remix 版本这首歌曲在 2003 年还登上了英国排行榜的冠军从这首歌曲我才发现了这一张被遗忘的 EPThe Town Bell Sessions

这就是 Alton John 在 1977 年他来到美国的西雅图和美国《非诚》制作人 Tom Bell 合作录制的一张被遗忘的 EP《The Tom Bell Sessions》其实早在 Alton John 之前另外一位英国摇滚歌手 David Bowie 在 1975 年就已经来到《非诚》和一大批优秀的黑人林歌音乐家录制了他经典的专辑《Young Americans》
