Our expressions often reveal what’s inside before we even process it—yet Jesus is called the Divine Expression of God (John 1:1), showing us who God truly is. John’s gospel tells us that when we receive Jesus, we’re not just given the right to become children of God, but the power to live it out (John 1:12). This power includes the freedom to choose Him, strength for His purpose, authority to influence others, and the rule of Christ over all. Becoming a child of God isn’t about having it all together—it’s about believing in His love, testifying to His goodness, and allowing the Holy Spirit to empower us (Acts 1:8).
