SERMON NOTES (click arrow to the right to open)Main Idea: God is committed to mission and the establishment of His kingdom and He designed you with a mission, a purpose, when you find that purpose your heart becomes glad.Sermon Notes: God wants every nation, and all people to hear of His Word.Forty years ago, it was estimated that there were almost 14,500 people groups who had not yet heard of Jesus and received testimony, and today it is estimated that there are only 4,500 groups left without disciples.God created the universe, he then created life, he chose Abraham and taught him His ways. God then sent prophets, but Israel still did not fully understand, so God sent Jesus. Jesus' mission had 5 main components: 1- Reveal the heart of the Father - never-ending love 2- Save and Rescue - from separation from God (true Hell) 3- Make disciples - of all nations 4- Justice - freedom of the oppressed, healing for afflicted 5- Kingdom - in all areas of life: health, family, community, business, education, government, etc.We are held back by culture, negative attitudes, and fear. There is power in working as a group on mission.Application Questions: 1. In your life today, how could you start to fit in time for mission? 2. Is there time at lunch to share with co-workers, and what are some ways in which you could start a conversation about Jesus? 3. What opportunities exist in your community for your family to take on a mission and how could you fit this into a possibly already hectic schedule? 4. What types of missions have you tried?
