This story is about Ben who is a gay member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He grew up wanting to be 'fixed' (not being attracted to guys) but he finally had to confront reality and tell his parents he was gay, and they honored him and his choices. He decided he could build a good life by not hiding anymore. Ben has seen that his sexual orientation has brought more love and kindness into his life. He teaches about struggles and triumphs of being a gay Latter Day Saint on his own podcast and his book! What message do you get from this interview?

ABOUT the LemonAid Stand: Heidi started hosting the LemonAid Stand live radio talk show, over 20 years ago, in 1999! It all came about when Heidi was dealing with thoughts of suicide, inadequacy, and dealing with infertility. She realized as she reached out to others and heard their stories, she would be uplifted and inspired no matter what she was going through.
