How are you ladies doing today? 10 out of 10. Yeah, absolutely. 11 out of 10 even. Gee, one upper much? Yeah.

I'm sorry, Amanda. The scale is out of 10. So at 11, actually, you wrap back around and you're a 1 out of 10. Oh, no. Now I'm very sad. But actually, on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being the best. Okay. Okay, good. Okay. Thank you. Thank you so much. I appreciate that. You're welcome so much. How are you doing, Dan? I actually got a lot to do today. So I'm just going to, I just, I installed this new eject seat.

And it's kind of loud. It's sort of a crazy contraption here, but I'm just going to, I'm actually going to eject out of this episode and I have a friend coming in to fill in. Wow. Okay. I'm a little scared. All right. I know this just, it doesn't look safe, does it? It looks a little contraption-y, right? Yeah. Okay. Here we go. It looks like mousetrap. Don't worry about that. It's kind of, there's mousetraps in here, but that's only part of it. Ready? One, two, three.

Whoa, he really went flying. Hey, Brock Rackets here to talk brackets. How are you? I'm good. Hey, Brock. How have you been since the last time we saw you?

I have been excellent. I have been in the bracket cave, which is what I call my studio apartment, cooking up these brackets for you two. And I, you know, sometimes we're behind the times. I wanted to get ahead of the times. I've been in the grocery store, which is where I get most of my food, but not all. And foraging, urban foraging, that's the other half. So I've been in the grocery store and I'm already seeing Easter candy. Yes. Yes.

So wait, can I just tell you that Sienna works at a grocery store, my stepdaughter, and she came home running into the door and she said, the Cadbury mini eggs are here. And I said, like, where are they? Like, they're not in your hand. She said, I know I forgot to buy them, but they're here. I was like, oh. Did you ground her?

Yeah. Yeah. That's fair. Big consequences for that. Well, as you might have guessed, then this bracket is your favorite Easter candy. So fun. So I've got a list of Easter specific candy here. I got 16 of them. So let's launch right in, huh? Yes, please. Yeah, I'm ready. You all know how it's played. I'll give you two. You pick your favorite and we keep going until we have the winner. I'll be the tiebreaker, but ideally you guys fight it out. You ready? Mm-hmm.

I'm ready. Ready, ready. This is a randomly generated bracket. And right up off the bat, we have two Easter basket juggernauts. This might be tough.

It is Pez versus a Cadbury cream egg. Oh. This one, for me, is quite easy. It is for me, too, but that's not fair because I don't like Cadbury cream eggs. I know I should. Yeah. You should, yeah. Because everyone loves them. I knew this was going to happen. Yeah. Yeah. But I prefer a Pez, but I'm absolutely okay with a Cadbury cream egg moving forward because I understand that that's...

that's a fault of mine, not a fault of the Cadbury cream egg. Yes, I like the way you put that. It is your fault that you don't like them. They are. Yeah. So I will say, though, as a big fan of a Cadbury cream egg, because Cadbury cream egg is maybe my favorite candy of all time. Like they're amazing. Holiday specific or not. I love a Cadbury cream egg.

And I have never been shy to share that enthusiasm with others. And but I receive a lot of feedback that like people think they are gross, like they are. It's like they're too gooey and they're so like. So I think they are kind of a polarizing candy to like many people don't love them. I love them. I could eat. You know how they come in like packages of four. I could eat all four easy in like two minutes, like not two minutes, but like.

I could eat them all in one sitting, which is like kind of a lot of gooey candy. Yeah. I crack them into a bowl like an omelet. I love Cadbury eggs. I think they're the best. Pez? I do love Pez. So before we say goodbye to Pez, let's talk about some of our favorite Pez dispensers. That's like an Easter basket classic is the Pez dispenser. I think my favorite of all time was I got like a Star Wars set once. What about you guys?

Well, I don't want to speak for her, but I know there's a really excellent Muppets Pez set. Oh, cool. I don't know if you knew that. I'm trying to think of a specific Pez dispenser that I had and I can't.

I can't think of who was on them. Like, I don't know if they were branded or not. I remember I vividly remember. Sometimes it's just like a rabbit. Like, yeah, like I remember how it feels to open it and I can I can taste the Pez in my mouth. Like I have a lot of like I've had many a Pez dispenser, but I don't think I love refilling them. Yeah, they're really fun. I like pinching my little fingers in them and see like putting my little pinky in and closing it.

Yeah. Trying to figure out how it works. Absolutely. I knew it was springs. It's a really genius idea. They are cool. They're so good. Yeah. They're delicious. Acknowledging that they are kind of built to be plastic landfill trash, they are a very fun part of Easter. Oh, yeah. That's sad. Maybe you got a Charlie Brown one, Amanda. The Charlie Brown and Woodstock ones were everywhere. Oh, very popular. Maybe. Yeah.

When I was in elementary school, in music class, we had to, every class, two kids, every music class, two kids had to sing a solo. Every music class. Wow. They could sing like this really short song that was only like three lines. But you had to do it. And when you were done, you got a single pez. Not a dispenser, just like one pez piece. No, she would pop the pez, like she would, and you would take your one pez and you would eat it.

Wow. Yeah. All right. All right. Well, Cadbury eggs, you're moving on. Pez, you've been dispensed. Oh, good one. All right. Next up, two of the lesser known classics. We've got Whopper Robin Eggs and the Sweet Tarts Chicks and Bunnies.

I also understand that my opinion is not popular. I prefer the sweet tart. I don't like a Whopper. It's too dry. Whoppers are gross and weird. I do not like Whoppers. So the Whopper Robin eggs, for anybody who doesn't have them, are just like a color, like a Robin egg blue malted milk ball. I do not like a malted milk ball. I do not like a Whopper. I love a sweet tart. They're so sweet. They're so great.

Yes, I agree. Chicks and bunnies. I remember having a big come up when we were kids. They're so cute. Yeah, I like a sweet tart. I don't I don't specifically remember the chicks and the bunnies, but I am on board for them. I will just say, though, in defense of the Whopper Robin eggs, which I again, I do not like the taste of them as a candy, but I remember them being a more like having a more beautiful color palette to me than some of the other candies.

egg-shaped candies. That's why they're Easter-clastic. Yeah, they look very nice. They're very pretty. You can lay them in the grass of the basket and it looks great. Yeah, I remember that, but I didn't like the way that they tasted. I sent you a picture of the chicks because I think you'll be like, oh yeah, I remember that. Okay. Let me check. It's not like urgent. I just...

Oh, yes. Those are good. I know them. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Those are good. Big fan. Yeah. Thank you. All right. Sweet tarts, chicks and bunnies moving on. Whopper Robin eggs. You got cracked. Goodbye. Bye-bye. Oh, next up, we have two marshmallow titans. We're talking chocolate marshmallow Easter eggs versus Peeps.

I don't know that I've ever had a chocolate marshmallow Easter egg. Are we referring to the individually wrapped like Russell Stover? Yes. Yes. Those are everywhere, yeah. Ew. I love those. I actually am going to let you guys decide this one because both of these candies make me...

Feel ill. So, Kelsey, would it change your mind if I told you when I say peeps, I'm including chicks, bunnies, and chocolate dipped? They're all super cute. I don't like peeps.

They have a very, I feel like they are always stale. Like you can crack open the fresh container and then it's still like, am I eating styrofoam? Like it has like a weird like thing. I like the chocolate dipped Peeps, but it's really because I like things that have been dipped in chocolate. I don't necessarily love the Peeps themselves. I really like those individually wrapped Russell Stover things.

like chocolate marshmallow eggs. Yes. They're like flat almost. Yeah. That's the kind of thing that I will like secretly, like every time I have to go to CVS or something, I will buy like four or five of them and they'll just like be in my car and then I will eat them like sometime. Like I love them. On the way home, you mean? Yes. Or just like the next couple of days, like there will just be like, oh, I have another secret candy in my car. And it's like so exciting. I don't take them inside. They are not for sharing.

I like marshmallow. I just don't like these marshmallows. All right. I don't know why. Sounds like chocolate marshmallow eggs is moving on. Peeps. I might have told this story before.

Oh, I feel so sad about this. I do. I just peeps again. It's hard to say bye to peeps so early. Yes, it's hard to say goodbye to them. But peeps are polarizing. Like, I feel like I know a lot of people who say, like, you know what you do with peeps? You throw them in the trash. Like, yeah, you display them or you like wait until they're really, really stale and then hot glue them to something else. Like in the good and bad projects. Like, I don't know. I feel like they have like other purposes. Yes.

I might have told this story before, but when I was, when I, my first job, I think I was 17, maybe 16. So I worked at Blockbuster and one, we got a bunch of peeps in for Easter because Blockbuster had like the movie candy section, you know, but we had like popcorn. It was a Blockbuster for kids. It's a, when you had to rent physical movie discs, that was a store you could do that before everything was on the map anyway, or tapes. Yeah.

We had tapes. And video games. And video games. Yeah. You could rent media there before media was just on your TV. Anyway,

The point is we sold Peeps and after Easter, they were on a 90% off clearance sale. And with my employee discount, that came to about 7 cents per sleeve of three. And me and all my neighborhood friends bought the entire leftover inventory for like $6 and got so sick on Peeps. I haven't been able to eat a Peep since. I ate so many stale Peeps. Oh, gross. So Peeps...

Peeps, you're canceled. You're done. I can't stomach you. Keep you later. Next up, two favorites of mine, two adorable classics, if I'm speaking from the heart, and I am. We're looking at Reese's Pieces Carrot versus Cadbury Caramel Egg. Ooh, that's...

This is a tough one, Brock, because both fillings are delicious. Caramel egg is maybe, I like it as much as the regular Cadbury egg. Yes, I like it as much and debatably more. Can you clarify the Reese's Pieces carrot? Are you talking about like it's like shaped, like the wrapping is shaped like the carrot and then there's like orange Reese's Pieces? Yes, it's just orange Reese's Pieces jammed in a cone of like plastic that's printed to look kind of like a carrot. Yes, perfect. Okay.

For me, it's going to be a Cadbury Caramel.

But I do love a Reese's Pieces. See, jamming them into the carrot shape, that's a new innovation. Someone over at Reese's thought of that in the last five, ten years because they didn't have those when we were kids. It's honestly revolutionary. I'm still going to go Cadbury Caramel Egg. And you can imagine my disappointment as someone who does not like a Cadbury Cream Egg when you're given an egg to realize, oh, this could be caramel. Wrong. It's cream.

The wrapping's very different. It doesn't. It's not very different. One of them is still purple. One is blue and one is gold. It's red and green and blue. Yeah. No, they're purple. No? They're gold. Bright gold. I'm Googling it. The boxes are all purple. You can Google all you want. I've eaten them by the dozen. By the dozen. It's literally purple. You guys are cuckoo kazoo. The boxes are purple, but the foil is not.

Okay, I'm going to text it to you. I'm going to text you also. Great. I can't wait to see it because it's going to be the same thing that I'm looking at right now. Yeah, it has a huge gold patch on it. What do you mean? It's purple. Maybe some of the new ones are, but if you look at the classic, they've always been gold. Yeah, here. The ones in America are gold. You can see it right here. They are purple. Those are the UK ones. The American ones are gold. They're not.

I'm literally looking at a picture of it right here. Yeah, me too. I'm sending it. They're purple. Okay. Here's the thing. You guys email me and tell me what color these are. Take a picture in the grocery store because I need to know because where I'm standing, the wrapping is purple. Of course, there's some gold. Sure. There's a splash. I understand. But they're not gold foil.

There's purple. So we will be sending you pictures from the grocery store. And I also invite all of our listeners to send them to Kelsey, K-E-L-S-I-E, at storiespodcast.com. And then CC Amanda at storiespodcast.com, too, just so that I can be like, I told you so. Leave me out of it. I get too much email.

All right. Cadbury caramel egg. Moving on. Reese's Pieces carrot. It's very cute, but you're for the rabbits. Goodbye. Bye-bye. Ooh, next up, we have two. I'd say these are sort of unsung, but still classics nonetheless. We have the jelly bean all kinds versus white chocolate all kinds. I... Ooh, okay.

So now when I think quality jelly bean, I'm going Jelly Belly, I'm going Bertie Botts, novelty Harry Potter bean, and my favorite of all, I think, and everybody's is the Starburst jelly bean, right? Yeah. Yeah. Not necessarily. I like Starburst and I like Jelly Belly. Bertie Botts, you might as well never talk to me again, but I don't want a mystery bean. I do not like white chocolate. It is not good. White chocolate? What about...

So when I say white chocolate on Easter, that could be a white chocolate rabbit or it could be like a cookies and cream kind of treat. Okay. Both are not going in my basket. Okay. I want to hear from Amanda. Cookies and cream is yucky. I like, I love, I actually really like white chocolate. I didn't really care for it very much as a child. I do like it now. I think that it has to be good white chocolate. Like they're like the,

the, you know, cheaper white chocolate doesn't ever really taste like that great. I feel like it can taste. You can, you can fudge the mix a lot more to you. Yeah. Pardon my pun, but you can. Yeah. And so I, and I think, and I'm, I'm picturing like the, like these little white chocolate rabbits that I was like, remember as a child, um, getting, but, and I will say, I don't like a jelly bean bean very much. I don't like a jelly bean very much. I, um,

Maybe we'll eat the Starburst kind, but I don't really like jelly beans. I don't like the texture of them. I don't like the taste of them. They would always be in my Easter basket, and I think it's

because my dad liked them. So he would eat them like every year I would get them in my basket and then he would just like, they would be his now. Like he'd eat all of the jelly beans. I think for me, as far as like Easter candy goes, I think of jelly beans as being a big part of Easter candy, even though I don't particularly enjoy them, but I would, I would push those on for the next round. I think we got, okay. Jelly bean. You're moving on white chocolate. Yeah.

Melt away. Goodbye. I was hoping one of you guys would give me like an Anya thing. Melt away, melt away, melt away. Goodbye. With soothing vibrations, all the music of the relaxing ocean comes to you. Do you guys remember that infomercial? Yes. Pure moods. Pure moods. That was it. We had it in my house. My dad bought it. We had it. Sail away, sail away, sail away.

Nathan listens to Enya every St. Patrick's Day in the morning when he's getting ready. Wow. Got it for him. All right. Next up, we got, ooh, a little sweet and sour versus a peanut butter buddy. I couldn't think of a better word. A sweet and sour versus a peanut butter buddy. I'm ready. It is Nerds versus the Reese's Peanut Butter Egg.

Is it the Reese's egg that's like the Christmas tree? Yes. Yeah. Oh, that one. Again, an individually wrapped treat, which I think I just enjoy all the time. I love an individually wrapped item. I feel like it's not a commitment and I can just buy one and it's like just a front of the tree. Like a pretzel dog. Yeah. A pretzel dog. Oh, my God. Bagel dog. Bagel dog. Bagel dog. Sorry.

Wait, can I tell you guys something really quick? Sure. I met these dogs the other day and they're long-haired dachshunds and their names are Pretzel and Churro. Oh. I just thought it was cute. That's all.

Thank you. Thank you for sharing. You're so welcome. I actually love nerds. I love nerds. I love a nerd's rope. In nerds, I will include nerds, clusters, bites, and rope. Yeah, nerds got me clusters. I also love, have you ever had big chewy nerds, they're called? No. I did not know that was a thing. It's like a nerd that's like- That's what they called me in high school. It's like a nerd that is, I'm just going to send you a picture. It's like a nerd that has a-

No, it's an audio medium. Describe it for the children. I am doing it right now. You're not. You're sending me a picture. No, I'm not. I don't know what size it is. Okay. Picture this. A jelly bean, a little bigger. Okay. The nerd material, the crunchy nerd material, is the outside. Oh, no. Inside, inside, it is...

Chewy. Same thing as like the nerds like clusters. Sounds like the gummy clusters. Yeah. No, the gummy clusters are gummy. The inside of this is like more. I get it. It's softer. It's softer. Oh, OK. It's very good, but they're flavor specific, which which I don't love. So I eat all the pink and purple ones and then I give the bag of oranges and yellows to Nathan to eat. Who is my husband?

What a long-suffering gentleman to eat all those orange and yellows. Same. He does that with a Starburst, too. He's also a banana Laffy Taffy boy, which like, ugh. Ew. I don't like banana Laffy Taffy, but I like banana Laffy Taffy. I've said it before, but you married a real freak. I don't know. Guys, Nathan's favorite candy. He does love those cookies and cream things. He loves Mike and Ike's and Good and Plenty. Ew. Ew. I know. Gross.

I like a Mike and Iker. But it's not your favorite. No, it's not my favorite. No, those are not for actual consumption. Those are also to just like hot glue to things. I feel like I think I've made a lot of like art projects with candy and like, I love it. We're getting bogged down here. So we got, we got Reese's eggs.

Reese's eggs, it's, yeah, it's the thick eggs. Yeah. Those themed Reese's holidays ones are always a lot of good peanut butter for your dollar. Yeah. And because the chocolate is softer, like you can get a hard Reese's egg. That's not what I want. It's that soft. The flat kind. Yeah.

Flat egg. Yeah. Whatever kind is your favorite, really. The same thing they make the Christmas tree out of. Yeah. Yeah. And the pumpkin. Right. Exactly. It's that same idea. Oh, yeah. That has to move on, right? Okay. They do have the hard eggs, too, but we're not ranking those. No. We're not talking about the hard eggs. No. Those aren't good.

Individually wrapped soft themed eggs. All right. Individually wrapped soft eggs. You're moving on. Chewy nerds, see you in high school. Bye. Bye.

Ooh, next up we have the showdown of the tiny eggs. Are you ready? Yes. I'm not talking about quails and pigeons. I'm talking about. Yeah. Sure, sure. Of that, of that. Yeah, exactly. So get that off your mind. I'm talking about no quail, no pigeon. I'm talking about Cadbury mini egg versus bubblegum eggs. Oh, okay. Okay.

It's Cadbury mini eggs. I know. Bubblegum eggs aren't even good. They're so weird. I don't like them at all. They come on like the carton at Easter, though. I do love a carton, as I said earlier. I love a carton, but I'm not interested in a bubblegum. A Cadbury mini egg is so good. Yes. A Cadbury mini egg is so good. Also, again, they come in small, individually wrapped little tiny bags that you can just buy and have as a treat in your car later. Yes.

That's my favorite. When I was in high school and they didn't have like, do you know how they have the Christmas version now? And they're like Christmas ornament, like little red and green like circles. They did not do that when I was in high school. And a friend of mine and I bought like three family size bags of mini eggs and we froze them in individual Ziploc bags.

And we would take one out every other week and share it. And we did that for months and months. Wow. Yeah. Yep. You're lucky I didn't find that and eat all those. Well, when I was... Was I in college already? Yeah. Okay. You're lucky dad didn't find and eat all those. You know what? They were probably at her house because there's no way. Yeah, there's no way. My dad was an animal.

He would watch you make lunch for yourself and then walk by and take half your sandwich. Well, he was hungry. He's still hungry. He's still hungry. That's no excuse. I also love the mini eggs. Cadbury mini eggs may be the best pound for pound candy in the world. Bubblegum eggs are a sick joke. I was going to say a fun novelty. You can't even have it if you have braces. Ew. That's not fair.

Not fair. That's why Cadbury eggs moving on. Bubblegum eggs, you got popped. Oh, goodbye. Bye. Okay. And our final matchup, the one you've all been waiting for. I had to give them each their own line because I just knew we'd hear from it online if I did it any other way. And here's the matchup. We got chocolate bunnies, hollow or solid? Oh. Hollow chocolate bunny or a solid chocolate bunny?

I have an opinion. Okay. I'd love to hear it. I prefer, I think, I feel like the answer is supposed to be that you like the solid chocolate one because you get more chocolate. But I always, I find them to be very hard to bite through. Yeah. And I prefer a hollow chocolate bunny. I think it is easier on your teeth.

And also they don't take as long to eat, which is a bonus when you consider that like what you're saving is like a gross like, I don't know, thing that you've gnawed on. Yeah, it's disgusting. So I definitely, I think I like a hollow chocolate bunny because you can eat half in one sitting and then like the other half.

Like, later in the day. And you don't have to have your weird, gross, spitty bunny, like, around. Yeah. And your teeth are good. So, I like that. I 100% agree with you. I also feel like if a chocolate bar is too – even, like, a chocolate bar, if it's too thick, not pleasant. Like, I want it to, like – I want that to, like, melty-in-your-mouth chocolate. Yeah. And when the hollow ones – especially the lint bunnies, which are very popular, obviously, at Easter –

I want it. Yeah, the lint was going to be my example of a hollow if you asked. They're so good if I asked. Well, sometimes you guys want more clarification. No, you're right. I'm Brock Rackets. My brackets are well thought out. Yeah, I don't want a solid one. I don't want to like scrape it with my teeth for an hour and then like put it in a Ziploc bag. Yeah. Yeah.

I used to be with you guys on hollow, but then what I chocolate though is usually a better chocolate, like a solid chocolate. And if you break it up, then you can kind of just let the chunks melt in your mouth over time. But it's, it's a whole process.

And yeah, you guys vote hollow chocolate. And if you look online, you're actually not in the minority. It's a raging debate. I did not think I'd be in the minority. I thought that I would be. I thought because I feel like the solid chocolate makes sense because you get more bang for your buck. I feel like it's more pragmatic to prioritize the thing that makes the most economic sense. So maybe that's all. I just think I'm pragmatic.

All right. Well, after all that, it looks like hollow chocolate bunnies are moving on. Solid chocolate rabbit. Better luck next year. Goodbye. Do you guys usually start with the ears when you eat a chocolate rabbit? I would. Yeah. Yeah. We're on to the second round now. Here we go. We'll pick up the speed a little bit. Let's hit these matchups. We got Cadbury eggs versus Sweet Tart Chicks and Bunnies. Cadbury cream eggs, 100%.

That's fine. Sweet tart chicks and buddies, if you haven't had them, I'd recommend them. They are funny. They're so stinking cute. There's something a little different. It's just something sour and it's like a hard candy. You know what? They're sweet tarts. Something to cut through the chocolate. It's a nice addition to a basket. But in this case...

Sweet Tart, Chicks and Bunnies, you're going to a big farm upstate. Cadbury Egg, you're moving on. Goodbye. Next up, it's an eggstravaganza with the chocolate marshmallow egg versus the Cadbury caramel egg. Cadbury caramel egg. Yeah. Yeah.

That's true. You were the chocolate marshmallow egg proponent, Amanda. So why don't you give it a goodbye? I know. Well, I just, I really love them, but I am confident that I'll find another one in my car later and I'll eat it then. And so it'll be fine. This is not really goodbye. All right. Caramel egg, you're moving on. Chocolate marshmallow eggs, we'll see you in the glove box. Goodbye. Goodbye. Oh, keeping it fast and furious. Next up.

We have two things that maybe my, I don't know. These are my top four along with the Cadbury eggs. It's hard for me to see one of these go, but jelly beans and Reese's eggs. Reese's egg. Yeah. You guys are chocolate biased, I think. No. 100%. If I'm going to eat canned,

I think that chocolate feels more satisfying. Like, I guess, I don't know. I could eat a million jelly beans and I'll just kind of be like, eh, I don't know. But like, I have one good Reese's egg and I'm like, yes, that was what I wanted. That was a good day. Jelly beans you eat until like you feel sick. There's no good time to stop eating. Yeah, you just eat them because they're like...

And then you eat all of them and you're like, I don't know. I didn't really want that. But now I'm, yeah, I feel gross. I like eat a whole basket. And then I look at the empty bag and I'm just like, those are all in my body. And then you walk and you can hear them go. Weird. I think a jelly bean is like.

It's like what someone would keep on their desk, like a little dish, and you'd grab one and go. It's not like a... You're not at the store like, I'm here to get jelly beans. You're saying it's not like a big treat like chocolate is. No, it's like, oh, someone offers me a jelly bean? Like, yeah, sure, thanks. But I'm not like, oh, I have to pick up jelly beans on my way home from work. Yeah, no. Yeah, quick note.

If somebody offers you a jelly bean around Easter, you're like, oh yeah. But somebody offers you a jelly bean any other time of year, I'd be very suspicious. Well, I think that they used to be more popular. Do you know a fun fact about jelly beans? And it's that they were Ronald Reagan's favorite candy and he always had them around. That's the thing I know about jelly beans. And then the other thing I think of when I think of jelly beans is just like,

having to guess how many there are in a jar, you know? Oh yeah. I'm really good at that. Didn't you win that the other day? Yes, but it wasn't jelly beans. It was Hershey kisses, but yes. Wow. Where did you do that? Are there opportunities to go guess about it? Well, I did it at a wedding. She was at a regional meet, Amanda, but if you want to get into the regional candy jar, guessing. If you are not part of candy counters, you're not.

You got to hit up bake sales, yard sales, you know, you got to put the time in. Wow. Wow. All right. Reese's egg, chocolate, peanut butter. It's the perfect match. It's going forward. Jelly beans. I honestly love you and I will eat a thousand of you this year in your honor. We honor the fallen jelly bean.

Goodbye. Except for the weird ones, but I do like the black licorice ones. No, gross. You don't have to have them. This is my send off. Okay, sorry. Goodbye. Goodbye. Goodbye, sweet prince. Hey, next up, we've got two big time favorites here. I don't know how you guys are going to get through this round in one piece.

Hold your hearts, because I'm about to rip them out. It's Cadbury Mini Eggs versus the Hollow Chocolate Rabbit. Cadbury Mini Eggs? Yeah.

I feel bad for the rabbit. Oh, okay. So not so hard after all. No, yeah. No, it's not hard. I feel bad for the rabbit, but 100% it's the mini eggs. They are. They're so good. They're so crunchy and so good. They're so crunchy. It's so... I don't love crunchy... Like an M&M. Take it or leave it. Yeah. But these are like... Because the part that makes it really good is that it's not just the crunch. It's not just the texture, but you can... The shell has a really good taste. It's perfect. Yeah. You can...

It's like a high quality M&M almost. It's like its own candy shell. Yeah. They're really good. Yeah. Ooh, have you guys had the, there's Cadbury chocolate bars that have the mini egg shells in the chocolate bar, like mixed in the way they would mix in. I don't think I would like that as much. Yeah, me either. It's very good. If I get one, if I see them, I'll grab you guys one. Okay, thanks. All right. Cadbury mini eggs, you're moving on. Hollow chocolate rabbit, you're empty inside. Goodbye. Bye.

Next. Oh, guys, we got our top four. And I have to tell you, they are all eggs. We have four eggs at the top here. Honestly, that doesn't surprise me at all. This is Easter, honey. It's Easter after all. We've got the classic Cadbury cream egg versus the Cadbury caramel egg.

I thought we were going to end up here, Brock. Yeah. I was a little dismayed. This is a hard one for me because personally, I would absolutely prefer the Cadbury Caramel Egg because I do not like the cream inside the Cadbury Cream Egg. But like I said earlier, quote me, that's a me problem. I know, but I do love both and I might like the Caramel one more. Yeah, I feel also torn about...

But it's only just it's just due to like loyalty to the original. Like, I feel like I should prefer the Cadbury cream egg. Let me ask you a question. Yeah. Which egg is more accessible to the masses?

They are equally accessible. They are both around. Oh, no, I think the... Oh, you mean in terms of taste? Yeah. Oh, I thought you meant, like, can you literally buy them anywhere? Yes, you can. I guess, no, yeah, I think that the caramel one, and it's really good, like, high-quality caramel, at least, like...

Compared to the other caramel that's available to us. Well, it's like a Caramello. Yeah. No, it's more than that. It's better than that. It's better than that, though, because it's good. Well, there's more caramel, but it's the same, you know. It's similar, yeah. Yeah. Well, I mean, they're both Cadbury and caramel. It's good. We have not yet discussed the only downside to both of these treats, because I was thinking that this might play into why I will, if I did prefer the Creme Egg, it might be because...

It's slightly less messy than the caramel one because it's like caramel is like more slippery and like less. And you have to bite into it. Yeah. But both of these eggs are like it's a messy treat that I would prefer not to eat in front of anyone else. Like it's just like you're going to kind of look a little bit gross while you do it. You know what I mean? I know. And if we had a chicken that laid these eggs, I would let it sleep in bed with me. It would be part of the family. What a weirdo.

What a weirdo. If you were to treat it with that late Cadbury eggs, you wouldn't treat it well? I would treat it well. I would get it its own bed. Yes. It doesn't have to sleep in my bed.

It's a co-sleeper. I would have to get a friend, I guess. I don't know. Here's the thing. I think that Cadbury Caramel Egg should move on, but I am on board with what you two choose. I'm fine with it being the Cadbury Caramel Egg. I'm okay with that. That's the one you prefer. I mean, have the courage of your convictions. It's...

You love a caramel egg. Yeah, I love both of these eggs. Let's be clear, this whole list is bangers. Like Easter candy is the best candy of the year. We should honestly have done the worst candy of this bracket. Maybe I'll do that next. It might just be Peeps again, though. No, it's bubblegum eggs. It's bubblegum eggs. Bubblegum eggs are gross. I mean, I think Easter, you know, Easter, it's a religious holiday, but the candy, the candy's for everybody. All of the stores, everywhere you find. Universal.

The candy is universal. And that's what we're talking about today is the Easter candy. Caramel eggs, Cadbury regular eggs. We love you both, but caramel is moving on. Wow. Cadbury regular egg. You just, you just kick back in the carton, bud. And a stunning upset. Yeah. But we're not done yet. The egg madness continues. And I'm not talking about the prices at the grocery store. I was waiting for you to make that joke.

And I did. Here we go. Very reliable. Next up is the Reese's chocolate peanut butter egg versus Cadbury mini egg. Both excellent, both delicious, both something that I would buy them at the same time. I would buy the bag of mini eggs and at the checkout, I would buy the two, I would buy two separate individual Reese's eggs. But my vote ultimately is going to be the Cadbury mini eggs.

Yeah, I think that there's something extra special about them because even though the Reese's egg is...

like is holiday themed. We know that it's also a tree and it's also a pumpkin and like, you can get that kind of, you can get that. I did a ghost, I think. Yes. Yeah. But so, but the, but the Cadbury mini eggs do feel like whenever I see them, I'm like, Oh, it's time. I have to buy them now. Like, you know, it's like, it's exciting. And, uh, I look forward to it. Yes. I pick, I pick mini eggs as well. I think that that makes sense.

Yeah, I also saw Reese's. They had hearts this year for Valentine's Day. Yeah. They know that they have a hit on their hands, so they're really finding lots of shapes. They've done trees. I think they did, last year for Christmas, I saw Nutcracker versions. Oh, cute. In addition to the Christmas tree. They've got a shape for every season. So I agree. It's more special. I love putting the mini eggs ahead. I think that's the right decision. We can give them the honorable mention like we used to do.

In brackets. Like a fan... Miss Congeniality. Miss Congeniality, yeah! Great movie, great movie. That's also on Netflix right now. Because...

No, get out of here. Because it's just, it's the thing. Miss Congeniality is like, it's just about the spirit. It's not about the content. Okay. No, I guess you're right. Okay. I'll think about it. Okay. Well, maybe we should do Miss Congeniality before the final round. Well, peeps to me are like candy corn. Like people love them or they hate them. They're either like just out for a decoration or they're,

you know, being eaten by the fistful. I think for sheer iconic candy though, you got to give it to peeps for Easter. Yes. And I would say the same thing for candy corn and Halloween. Like they, they're, it's, it's the imagery, the particular colors. Like, I don't know. They just like are so, well, they haven't changed. Like they've been the same forever. You know, the eyes are always painted on a little crooked. Yeah. They're also making a lot of peeps merch at this point. So like,

At the stores, you can walk through and see like there's a giant stuffed Peep. There's a Peep water bottle. There's a Peep heating pack. There's like Peep merch. All right. I think we just got to give Miss Congeniality to the Peeps. Whatever. Yeah. I think that that's appropriate. All right, Kelsey, you can have your redemption here. You get first vote in the last round. It is Cadbury mini eggs versus the Cadbury caramel egg. Mini eggs.

Whoa, that fast? Yeah. Listen, it's my favorite candy of all time, I think. Wow. I'm sorry, but they're so good. What's better?

Than a mini egg. A handful of mini eggs on a nice Easter day. Literally, what's better? Tell me. I mean, I'm actually not arguing with you. I was just sort of like, that's a big statement to make. I don't have like a rebuttal. It's a very good candy. Tell me. Yeah. I mean, I like peanut M&Ms, but like I don't, you know, I don't know. But that's not, it's not for, but there's a specialness with the Cadbury mini egg. I also would pick a Cadbury mini egg as the,

winner here. I think probably for me and my personal bracket, I love the cream egg slash caramel egg. They would both be the winner for me. But the Cadbury mini eggs are more portable

Yeah. I am referencing my car again because I do most of my candy eating in the car. But I think that they're easier to have around so you can eat them and possibly while you're multitasking and doing things like driving. So I think that the Cadbury Mini Egg is... Nice and neat. Yeah, nice and neat. And a Cadbury Cream Egg or the Caramel Egg, again, is something that you have to eat with a napkin-ready...

and give it your full attention. Gooey and messy. Gooey and messy. Delicious. And you can't share. You also can't share like a Cadbury egg. Yeah. Like you can share a little bag of Cadbury mini eggs or a big bag, whatever. But if someone pulls out one Cadbury egg and they're like, you want to go halfsies on this? You'd say no. Especially if they're like a weirdo and they lick all the cream out first. It's like, no, thank you. Like, no, I don't want that. Yeah.

All right. Well, for our Easter bracket, Brock Rackets here to talk brackets saying our favorite Easter candy is the Cadbury mini egg, but we kind of love all of them. There was no real losers here today. Except bubblegum eggs. I think bubblegum eggs are fine. All right. Before we sign off, is there anything I missed? The only thing I could think of, I had some runners up I wanted to give a shout out to, which is the...

They used to have like bubble gum baseball cards I would get in my Easter basket. I don't think those exist anymore. I don't know. I would say. Like the one that was like big league chew? Big league chew? No, they were like literal baseball cards, like pictures like etched onto them, but you would chew them. Ew. Yeah. Yeah, they weren't good. I also wanted to give a shout out. We don't really have these as much in the US, but I understand in other countries they're the most popular is the Kinder Surprise Eggs.

Oh, they have them here. They're only just catching. They're only, they're only catching on recently. I mean the kinder joy. Yeah. Yeah. The kinder, any of the ones that have a little toy and the candy, but those aren't as popular here. The kinder eggs. Yeah. Those are definitely getting more popular. Yeah. Kinder is growing here for sure. Um, you know what else I would, I would throw in there too, is the egg, like the actual plastic egg of Skittles. Yeah.

That one you just find loose in an egg hunt? Yeah. No, like they sell it. It's like wrapping on it. And, and not to be forgotten, it's not for me, but it is for some people, the rabbit shaped Sour Patch Kids, which are so cute.

I don't like a Sour Patch Kid, but... Yeah, they didn't make the cut because they weren't... I don't think they're like a classic Easter candy. They're not. No, they're not. They're just like a... But they're a cute, you know, they're a cute addition to the mix. Yeah. So, you know, this is our recommendations. Go try it out. We got something for everybody on here. Um...

We love candy. We also love brushing our teeth. Yeah. Don't forget to do that. How long do you brush your teeth for? Two minutes, twice a day. My toothbrush is electric, like a lot of people. I got it at the dentist and you push power and it runs for two minutes. So it takes the guesswork out of brushing.

Not an ad. Not an ad for your unnamed dentist. Also flossing is very cool. Yeah. And I'm not talking about the dance kids. No, I'm not flossing your teeth. No, I just mean like if you're going to eat all this Easter candy, like also brush your teeth. Be good. All right. We're getting slap happy with all this sugar. We better sign off. All right. Well, now I'm excited for Easter. It's kind of late this year.

I don't have any idea when it is. Easter is April. It's going to be April 20th. And fun fact is that the Orthodox Easter is the same day this year. So sometimes they're different days. That's what your husband's family celebrates is the Greek Easter. Yes, we call it Greek Easter. But yes.

Very fun. Yeah, very fun. Is he making lamb this year? Can I come come with some lamb? Yeah, of course you can. And it just means for me, though, no double Easter, which I usually prefer. I prefer the two day Easter because then this is what I really prefer. I'm going to I'm going to share a little secret with you guys.

What I really prefer is that usually, you know, one, obviously one Easter comes first. Typically traditional Easter comes first. And then the day after you go to the store and no one wants any of that stuff anymore. And you buy everything for Orthodox or Greek Easter after and you get the discount. Nice. That's how I got sick on peeps. You better be careful. You know, words of wisdom. All right, everybody. If you have any more bracket ideas, send them in.

We love to hear them. Dan at storiespodcast.com. You get story ideas, send them in. You get a classic you want us to cover. Amanda's pretty much wrapping up Alice in Wonderland. So we're looking for the next book to do, you know, just let us know what you want to see and we'll work it in and you know, have a great spring everybody. Yeah. Thanks for listening. Bye.
