Another week, another pain…in the side this time. We are referring to the side of the knee, iliotibial (IT) band syndrome. A common cause of lateral knee pain/injury from overuse.
Dr. Niket Sonpal will go over the anatomy of the IT band and its function and attachments. He mentions there are multiple factors that contribute to its development, such as tightness or changes in the IT band. Next we will go over the diagnosis and the treatments you could provide.
