Hello, and walk into the apple center podcasts on your host, westly hilliard, and joined once again by William galactic. And i'd like to think our sponsor this week notion and if you're a paid subscriber, you want to hear anything about any ads, but you will hear apple setter plus the after show that we do. And this week, we're going to be talking about you guess that black friday, cyber monday deals, not really.

We're not going to be shoving and anything done your through, but we will discuss how we handle the holidays. Do we actually buy anything, or do we just ignore the mess? A, well, am, how you doing today?

I am celebrating thanksgiving like every other englishman in the U. K. Quite quickly as process and fun over here. How are you over there? You in the middle of carberry souls or something uh.

we kind of did our thanksgiving ving yesterday. So today is more of a spaghetti NER. But you know.

holidays got to love IT. But you say a recovery kind of day.

It's all about food. I feel like that's like eighty percent of american's brain. That's what we do is just think about the next .

meal yeah from over here the impression is its food and waiting in airports open family rose that way I could as well. So you know but .

I think I, anna, start off. Speaking of holidays, apple did drop their holiday at heart strings very short. But to the point it's for me I everyone talking about how you know heart felt IT was and I believe that feels a little bit um there's a thing back, you know I know animation still does IT, but I was definitely a thing about thirty years ago of reusing the same key frames in order to save on animation costs.

And this three minute and definitely capitalizes on reusing the same footage twice in a row for about a minute of the ad. So there's there's actually about a minute and a half of unique footage. I I just kind of that's where my brain went watching this out.

Of course. Of course, the ad short is, uh, a girl getting a guitar on Christmas starts dreaming IT. But the man and the ad cannot hear IT.

He has hearing loss. It's kind of muffled and that starts playing these memories that's all muffled. And then his wife like, hey, aren't you listening and he puts his airpower s in and suddenly he can hear everything. And we see all the same memories, but this time we can hear them. And it's very beautiful, very sweet, definitely a toned shift from the AI ads where all humanity isn't apt and needs apple's assistance.

But I really enjoy actually say that it's hang on. When he puts the airports in, he can suddenly hear all the sounds he didn't hear before he put them in is like he time travels as well as so okay, not heavy on plot, but definitely I got quite choked watching IT. So maybe the airports .

are that good. They make your memory sound .

Better is proof of that's where it's going.

The neural implants that apple is planning for us now uh, very sweet. But IT does make me wonder what's going on an apple's ad department. I mean, are they just out of money? I remember a time when um IT was almost kind of an event.

The video they would chair IT was I mean, I get IT ads, don't need to be an hour long, but they were a bit more longer, more detailed. You mentioned before the show, the child seemingly absent from all of the family activities in the corner on their ipad whole time. But IT turns out they're making a family video.

I the one that comes mind for me is Frankenstein. And I think at the end he ends up with Christmas slights in his neck or something. I don't know.

IT was very sweet, like the little girl, like ushers in the town, and everyone actually likes them. And then there's the I can't remember if that was just an apple ad. I think he was just an apple logo, like IT was one of those ones where they didn't really have a specific product in mind. And then of course, the snowman one, which is just very funny, where a little girl decides to save her snowman friend by keeping in the freezer all year. This, these terrible, enabling parents love .

her to do IT. So see these, you have such a fun time. I don't remember Frankensteins in or this moment.

And actually, what I said before the show was that this teenagers secretly filming in behind that back, you know, you said making a family video, and I went the spying angle. I they used me a thing here in the U. K.

That there was certain companies, I think, at the man, anyone is a retail, john levis that would famously do a very big production, very long advert, merry Christmas. And usually IT was quite, you know, make you a bit, Terry, for IT. And that is used on IT as effectively or as the year party as well spotted in the last few years.

But IT was a tradition and IT doesn't of slightly died away. I just I think in this case, apples very good at telling the story in the length that needs to be told the story if IT was longer. So yeah.

this one didn't need to be longer. And I enjoyed at nothing against this ad. I just i'm just recalling the production value of the previous ones and this one being a little bit more can to a man on a couch thinking of a slide show.

So I do think it's kind of it's a long lasting Steve jobs. Steve jobs is a of forgetting the past, storing IT away. And it's one of the sad parts of apple is all this history of advertising.

Ah IT doesn't exist because apple dishes IT very quickly. They unless the youtube bags they take IT down on their website, it's just gone. And any person who ever tries to build a database of shut down with a dmca complaints from apple. So I don't know why they hate their own advertising so much. In of again, IT is an ad, so it's kind of silly, but I don't know it's a little bit installation of value to go back and watch some of these old things and you kind of have to dig around the internet or sound like some people have a dedicated a homestay orage network to downloading these ads and saving them in four cate because I party sure there are definitely nor to do that.

Yes, some people do that. Do that. yeah. Okay, you know, telling us something here at all. If we come into your place, we can see these things. Is that no, do you know I have .

thought about IT, but I don't have anything set up right now. It's just, you know, one of those things that would be fun to do, and then I would forget to do the speaking of things people forget to do. Siri could be getting a lot smarter and remembering things for you very soon, right? Yes, there's this rumor again.

I'm so ever since syria come out, what IT first came out. IT was a kind and what you says and IT gets the context. And every few years, it's going to understand what you say and it's going to get the text.

And we had that about our intelligence again, and apparently that bit still coming out. But now there's yet another rumor of which I think you know more about than I do, that says, well, basically the same thing ever again. Well.

series always, apparently, gona become the savour of our lives every year. So IT came out, right? We saw this little APP a company, made apple, bought IT, became part of the Operating system.

And we ve uh an interesting user in the face for creating calendars and reminders and stuff. And that's all willing good. I've always been a proponent of theory. I've never understood people's hatred for IT because I think IT just comes down to a misunderstanding of how to use IT more than IT being just bad at what he does. They're definitely moments, especially in the last couple of years where it's gotten like bad about certain things.

I would like that but like at all things is at first I was like, why can't IT sort my laundry? Well, it's snot really built for that, right um and and I felt like a lot of that was happening and then people quickly turned against this. And now anything that does wrong is this astronomical failure that deserves you to be set on fire.

So um that I guess generally the direction of technology and evAngelist, uh, it's really hard to get people's trust back and apple hasn't really done much to get people's trust back. They created a new animation for apple intelligence to empty that there was something different about IT, but IT actually isn't different. A lot of people have been confused over these last few months of apple intelligence of wise and and smarter.

Well, IT understands you Better. They changed some of the um language processing on device for how IT interprets a command. And whether not use studying or stop or pause or change your information, it's Better that and I honestly don't believe that's an A I doing now.

I think that's just Better parsing. There's nothing A I about syria or whatever right now. And the way I understand IT, maybe i'm wrong if anyone uh who who maybe add apple understands this Better than I do.

But this is my interpretation. Apple is still basically the same machine learning tool that we've had for a long time. IT passes a command. IT seeks out the application that fits that command and then passes the information along. And I think it's still doing that.

An apple intelligence is an APP that I can call out to you, just like you can call out to phone or reminders or even now ChatGPT. I think apple intelligence is just another APP in the pipeline. And syria itself hasn't got any smarter apple just kind of disguise ed IT with a new flashy glow.

Is that is that your experience? Yes, except i'm still funding variable. I mean, I find I love theory and IT. Beatrice, me, this thing, this very common thing, if you ask me to play, apply this, you've asted forty times before, and now I will play something completely different.

Or this incredible aggravating thing, if you're in the car and you ask you to tell you directions, someone that says, I can't do that, what you're in the car, where else would you do IT? Or the number of times you have to unlock your iphone first. And sometimes IT is unlocked.

Usually, what is why you doing this now and not yesterday? The inconsistently drive me back. I am close to having a kind of low hate relationship with IT, but I still prefer IT to the others are tried.

So I keep hoping and I keep feeling let down. But in the last few weeks, I was one of the people very much confused by the changes. Because of that, I saw the new annotation, and I thought I was Better. There were certain things IT wasn't doing wrong for a while, but that, you know, it's back at doing them wrong again. So yeah, I feel a bit dizzy, seri.

I think everyone lives in a filter bubble, especially in technology. And i've been to homes with alexa or google assistant and let me tell you they are hot garbage I I will say, yeah like you can ask google assistance question and it's Better answering generic google search related questions. Lexus excEllent at ordering toilet paper when you're run out.

They all have their corks and that things that they're Better at. absolutely. I'm not saying serious like the supreme being or anything, but IT is always funny to me that this is something i've talked about before, written about before.

I believe my poem was about this, that we was that this apple distortion field has morphed to stop being about, well, what I was originally intended for kosh, every time I was a Steve jobs in an thing, right? People saying that basically apple could sell you anything, the warping reality around its products. Well, today, it's more like everything that's discuss about apples, discuss in this vacuum where other products not exist.

But if start talking about those other products, IT people will make an excuse possible. But well, that's not really they're saying or they're going a different direction, right? Like the tech coverage around google assistant and alex a praises them for their amazing you know abilities and then they're like but serious is hot garbage, but then like an actual use and even talking to Normal regular people who have these things in their home, I get very different responses.

Of course, they all just hate them. I don't think there's i've ever met a person who's just like, wow, I love my smart assistant. They are all this univerSally poor in some ways.

But I just always back at the discussion, I always find that funny, that people are like a serious, just so bad. But honestly, for my experience, it's the best of the three as far as getting what I need done. I want to control my home serious, good at.

I want to control my device is good at IT is IT going to like fix my life and give me relationship advice? No, but it's not built for that. And so like when you go on right there, are you see these community of these conversations online about how terrible IT is?

It's like what are you trying to do to well as trying to get IT to do three things at the same time? Well, it's not made for that. Well, why isn't IT? Well, I didn't build that.

I can try that question. Um in any case, all of that is about to change, right? We've seen ChatGPT emerge.

We've seen google abandoned assistant in favor of germany. I alexa is has been dead for years. No one's willing to admit IT, but even amazon laid off pretty much its entire division.

And there's a report, I think, last year about how is just pouring money into those things. I wanted to severe IT like, you know a poison ARM or something, right? Like it's just not going well for them, not something anyone ever talks about.

But again, like I wrote an article a while back when corta finally died and made the joke that syria was the last man standing. And people are like, what are you talking about? There are still these other things.

Yeah, but have you seen the reports? Google doesn't care about google system anymore. Amazon has a ban in alex a after cortona died that was IT serious, the last one from the original set of smarter systems.

And theyve all moved on to their quote, AI assistant and IT. Seems I keep beating around the bush. Siri will soon become an AI system as well.

So at least in the terms of ChatGPT now I was discussing before ml background, it's basically parsing information and passing IT to other things. What an L N background and A I background would be like a backend would be, is you speak to IT and IT responds like a chat pot. And I don't use that to turn dispatched, but some people seem to think I do at but that's what these things are. ChatGPT is a chatbot. For Better or worse, you're having a conversation with IT and seri will soon be able to do similar things.

Are you are you saying then that they were all right, that apple is just cupped onto itself and is again has to go away and catch up with cotton or whatever the singles were to cut on her and copa? That's what I don't think of, right? Apple was wrong. Carry on the way IT was.

I would be very surprised if apple did dumps the series name that stuck. I don't unlike these other companies, I think apple is going to commit to IT and just be like look at how much Better is is. But at the same time, I don't think it's like that.

I think this is a natural evolution of technology. I think you know ml becomes A I right is terrible as a name as that is. That's what it's going to is this new large language model back and everything's moving to that.

And I think that makes sense for sir to do that too. But it's not like it's a copy out. I an the know if you call IT catch up, everyone's talking about how how apple is behind and there catching up to ChatGPT in all these things.

But at the same time, they're integrating them with their Operating system. So I feel like the narrow threat has been lost. If we want to look at how apples handling these things, we should look back at how the original theory worked and how IT still works.

Today, when you ask IT a query and IT doesn't know the answer right off hand, IT doesn't have like the database knowledge. IT asks google using a private query for an answer, and IT presents IT as web results. That's how it's always worked. Apple didn't build its own search engine.

IT just passed IT out to a company whom IT has praised many times, saying IT has the best urchins and and it's to to the state google still what the users, you can change that even if you have a default searching and changes safari to ducked up go series still uses google privately. But I still uses IT, and I think that's where we are with this stuff. Apple will implement an l an back end for theory, but I was still pass information to jt GPT.

It's not going to cut that functionality off. So I think it's just healthy to view these things a little bit more widely. It's a technology apple believes IT can control the news.

I think it's gonna be Better in a lot of ways as far as privacy and data concerns go. But IT IT will still be different. It's not going to be ChatGPT where you can pretend that IT knows things about the world and then makeup answers do do you .

know i'll take this is going to come out on tuesday. Do you know yet when it's likely to come?

Looks like the this is a from bloomberg. So they're basically saying apple going to announce the new back end during wwdc in june of twenty twenty five, but IT won't be available until IOS nineteen, up four ish, which is the spring released in twenty twenty six.

Uh, I think it's funny though because that's the same strategy that they used for the updated theory with it's baby steps, right? What we're getting what we're getting in the spring of this year is a half step to what we're getting in the spring of twenty twenty six because we getting this APP tense that are going give siri onscreen context and deep APP learning just like spotlight god. But now it's going to go to theory and have Better controls and understanding. Um but it's still not an L M. To be clear, it's just using more information from your device passed on by the apps.

I I don't remember I O S releases being quite so organized. I mean, no, that one. I just here we are saying what we got this one in spring IOS, eighteen point four in this date, nineteen point four in that day, I felt like I will put out the best IOS they could and then updated IT when they needed to, rather than trying to spread out the load of these things.

Is IT just that i've not been aware that? Or is this on you turn with apple intelligence? It's not just .

apple intelligence. IT used to be different, but in a very specific way. So we would get an announcement in june.

Here's everything coming and apple would do IT started to get everything out in september. Maybe one thing would get the late october and everyone would be a guest. I can't believe they announced that june, and I didn't launch in september, and then I would launch in october.

Everyone would forget that they made those comments, but apple actually I can't remember the exact time, but I remember that being a discussion and everyone was very happy about its like oh, that looks like apple's going to try a new approach to Operating system updates. And that's going to be a trick out approach where they announced everything in june, but it's going to be released from june to may over a long term period. Over Operating system of that is giving developers time to target each individual, release each individual feature rather than traveling a bunch of stuff down their throw immediately and expecting them to catch up.

So and and IT was excEllent until somehow the conversation shifted and never once like, what does everyone, what does apple announce everything in june, only to release IT in may? This is so stupid, right? So again, you can never win with these people.

There are always going to be unhappy about something. Maybe therapy would help. But I I I just think I just think you it's just funny how um people complain apple does thing they complain about.

They praise them for about five minutes and they complain about the new method. There's just no there's no pleasing them. But we've been doing this particular release cycle for a couple, couple years now.

Again, out. I can't point point exactly. I want to say pandemic time might have been when the shift began because IT just made sense for them to delay certain things.

Uh, work from home was happening. There is a lot of crazy stuff. So they push things out. And I think IT worked out for them and IT worked up for developers and they just leaned into IT. So theory getting the new backend not back in, but I guess that is kind of a backend, but at the new apintment in early twenty twenty five makes sense. I mean, yeah, we would all love to have had IT in september.

And but right now, the pendants are all saying, look how terrible apple as they announced all these things that they can even released IT on on on released day but they never really implied that I think in the original press releases is said later this year or coming later what usually means the next year um and this is how this is going so of course upon the tree is just said, well, if that takes apple until twenty twenty six to get syria on an l back and imagine how powerful and amazing ChatGPT and. There will be so far ahead. Apple will will be so behind.

We can't believe that this is just this. You know, I love IT because IT fit so many things but we're back to um god his first name is escaping me make man the restless owner, the W W E owner who would make all those facial expressions in the mean. We're just back to that again.

They're getting so excited and overwhelmed. They are falling out of their chairs about how they're going. Have so much fun talking about how far behind apple is when we don't even know what its capabilities will be aware it's going to place in the timeline. But this is the conversations we're having today.

I have this faire memory of when cindi or was involved in wrestling organization. But other man, man, no bells are ringing here. But I get the the concept basically what you saying is apple is rubbish in now, but it's gonna .

rubbish later. That's OK pit. fine.

I thought I was quite indebt analysis on my but but no.

I mean, so what do you think about this concept? Like does apple need to ditch syrian come out with a new name? Like we need like a boeing buying, or something like just some new catch phrase yell out to, or like what what's apple doing over here?

Well, I went to record videos that mention theory. I have to be careful to not use the name, and I vended IT call in is a trigger things. And I ended up calling the irish quite a lot.

So in my mind, I would accept the theory to iris move. But no, I think it's a really good name, and it's apples is very clear and simple. And lex always felt somehow what they contrived.

And kristina, I get that there was a game, think there, and I like that there was. But you and siri is fine and good as a name like great apple has done this before. Disappointing people with certain changes are not being able to get them back afterwards.

The final cut pro is the biggest example of this. Also, pages through away, lots of things in a revamp slowly became Better, but not immediately. Apple has a habit of letting people down and then eventually making IT Better.

And I think in this case, they will just come a point when IT is working. And we don't think about IT and we ve forgotten all of the little tiny, peaceful ell releases and it's just IT is all the way IT is. I think at the moment, I am running different beat.

I get very computer over different beats on different machines, but I will turn to a machine that has no beats on IT that i'm keeping safe and clear. And there are things enough intelligence that I actually miss when i'm on IT. So I think is going to become like that.

IT all seem like the new Normal. And we'll forget IT was ever any other way and mostly all work. So you are such a slip in the mostly there.

I didn't realize I going to say that, but IT came out like automatically. Mostly IT just works. That should be what apple new slogan is. Not IT just works. IT mostly just works.

That's what we should have. Well, we talk about we we talked about A I before and up to now and how it's evolved in apple is getting into IT now. And there's something happening though IT seems like we're hitting kind of a learning peak.

They've absorbed every piece of information on the internet, have nothing else need to learn, unlisted from themselves um I I do wonder now don't quote me on this is is in a prediction. I do wonder if um yeah we can refine the systems and they will get Better at certain things. But the intelligence aspect of IT, how good IT is, how fast IT is, what is what IT does IT making an image from nothing, generating text from a data base.

How, if we hit the peak? A I, now, what does that mean? Quote and quote for apple to be behind order, to catch up, or whatever? What I mean, will twenty twenty six truly be this like? Well, ChatGPT is just sentient, right? Walking among us.

An apple is releasing what is basically about a microwave of and to compete with that. And I don't see that happening. There are these like A I truthers out there who swear that, like, sentience is, sentience is moments away.

And we're just getting so close. And I will tell you right now, that's just not even remotely possible. That's just not how this technology works.

We're not going to create a sentient machine with quote and quote artificial intelligence. The biggest reason why I hate the name is because we use IT on the wrong thing. IT will never become quite and quote, artificial intelligence, that just isn't. But so I do wonder if we've because we're seeing this feedback loop already for gym, I ChatGPT these other technologies, what will that mean for their progress going forward? And will apple have a chance to catch up and will IT even matter once they do because we'll be on the next thing, the next hype cycle for VC money to put into.

I did. He said that last about hype cycle because we're starting to hear things like there was expectation that there would be a super cycle of demand for the iphone sixteen because of altitude, artificial sleeze, me, apple intelligence. And now we're saying that didn't seem to happen.

But it's all right. It'll happen next year. And isn't this suffer about investors in A I processor not seeing quite the rise? And also, this is tough of a feeling in the AI has reached the pinnacle. The type bitten is on its way down again. So we would be looking for the next thing, whatever that could .

be close on this, no one cares. Um yeah I mean, we talk about on the show and it's an important topic and I think I should be discussed especially like us enthusiasts but walk outside of this tech bubble, no one cares. I i've it's always shocking to me when when I hear Normal conversations I often go work at this little only you know you'd call IT.

It's not really. It's like a bar, but they serve sandwiches, a gero up or something. I work at the slow place downtown town, and I get to be among the people. Uh, sometimes on friday, it's my friday thing. Like i'm not really doing anything too important of managing social media, having a sandwich and so I get to listen to people, people watch and all that stuff.

And part of the conversations I hear always so fascinating and every now and then I hear someone talk about A I and it's like this I don't know, existential thing like they're not talking about in any way other than IT exists and they're laughing at some stupid me at made. And that's about IT. Outside of tech, people barely speak of IT.

And the people that do don't really understand what it's for and vastly disappointed once they actually investigate what IT is. I I cannot emphasize this enough. Nobody cares about AI.

You try talking to them about that. There are just like, okay, so what does that do? Does that do this? no.

Well, IT, no. And the list of nose just keep pying. Like, what does IT do? Well, it's really good at writing essays for fifth graders, but is still gets things wrong.

Well, what is IT for? right? And it's like, well, it's kind of like cypher to currency.

We created this entire system of a decentralized web of storing things, cypher graphically, so that I can be access to an individual. And then we use IT for the worst thing possible, money uh the technology is supreme. It's it's amazing.

It's going to make things Better for humanity. But our implementation of IT is actual garbage um and we're just generating more and more garbage with that. If you heard of nothing, just literal human garbage. So I think a is in a similar trend. We found an excEllent way to make our machine learning models evolve and make our computers faster, Better, make apps execute .

things .

Better in certain ways. But we're trying to make IT what IT is IT and that's intelligent. And as the text fear moves beyond IT, the Normal people barely even heard of IT and IT IT came and went so fast that they just don't care.

I am kind of with you, I feel.

Do you have to agree? Have you noticed a similar .

sentiment mostly? I just i'm also aware that there are things going on here in the U. K. To do with contracts and approvals where A I, the propose of A I seems to be to school, right, is out of money, and that's not being settled yet. So I I get IT and I kind of once to agree with you more, but I have hesitation.

Well, you bring up a good point because there's actually a like third piece of this, right? There's the air enthusiast people promoting IT as the next, you know, coming of cries. It's going to save humanity or destroy IT.

There is the individuals who are not taken enthusiast who honestly are a oblivious or just do not care. IT might as well not exist as far as y're concerned. Basically, this mythological technology that seems to exist on the internet and make funny memes.

And that's about the end of IT. But there's a third place where you have companies basically trying to, I don't know, CEO. C, T, S. People are CFO thinking. We can save a bunch of money by firing everyone and replacing them with A I because apparently it's good enough for that.

It's just not but they they seem to think so because they believe the height man instead of the worker individual who just does not care who's like, um hey, i'm still an artist. I'm still human. I can still do this things now in some places, again, it's a natural march of humanity and technology.

IT does do Better than people, right? Mass database sorda these kinds of things. And you remember the movie office space, like, I believe their entire job was putting the correct test play so that they were a ready for y two k that can just be handled by an automated system.

Now we don't need them to do that. Um I like like that all fine. Like it's o like I understand its tragic when that happens.

And technology you makes IT so that the people working hard, making close with the loom is no longer needed, right? And they start shattering looms in protest. IT happens.

History IT can be messy, like the progressive technology can be messy, but IT does happen. That's not always the case though, like this technology is good in some places, but it's not good everywhere. And there are these companies after think they can just up in the entire industry by firing everyone and have IT fully automated by these quote, quote, A I machines.

And a lot of them are learning, oh, actually know IT doesn't work that way. They are hiring people back. So i'm with you.

IT feels bad for on the worker and IT feels like, you know script writing and artists and different things are being attempting to be replaced. And that's terrible. The people and companies doing that.

Deserve what they get as a result. I hope they go out of business or whatever, or very quickly listen and how humans back, at the very least best case scenario. But and that is bad for the human workers affected, but I think will get through this.

And again, the end result is still the same. The people making those decisions that companies will soon realize the same thing that people realize. It's an interesting tool. It's a very nice hammer. Use IT for what it's meant for to stop trying to change the world with a hammer.

This episode is brought here, buying notion. There's no shortage of helpful A I tools that there. But using them, he usually means switching back and forth between yet another set of digital tools, remembering that ChatGPT does this, complexity does that, and apple intelligence doors the other.

Instead of simplifying your workflow, IT just becomes more complicated. And very soon you stop bothering to use any of IT, unless, of course, you're in notion. And so you're using notion ai.

The new notion air is a single A, I told that is IT all so across notion and other apps, generate documents in your own style, analyse PDF and images and and chat with you actually about anything in your work. It's all right there in notion itself. Notion the open service that a combine your notes, your documents and on your whole projects into one working space that is simple and beautifully designed.

Because IT isn't some generic chatbot. IT has the context of what you've written, what you ve made, a notion. AI is not only loaded into your work within notion, IT connects with slacking concerts across your google dogs. And notion is adding more options such as github and gera.

So you have all of the advantages of multiple AI tools, able to search multiple places you work, but none of the stop start issues of leaving your work to go do something and then coming back ocean A I means you can stay where you need to be in most in your work. But getting all of this extra help, try notion for free when you go to notion dot com flash apple insider, that's all lower case letters, notion dot com ash apple cider, to try the powerful, easy to use notion AI today. And when you alec is put a show, notion dot com such apple insider and thank you to notion for supporting the apple insider podcast.

There is a thing actually related uh to this about you know companies and related and stuff because we've just gone to a thing with gulfs and apple TV are the short version is apple what IT seems basically rename ged on an original deal. Allegedly, that I was going to give this film of why the atc release at the stars, George clinton bpt took a big pay cut in order to enable that. And then a week before he was due to have an apple told the right of director yeah no not going to be doing that.

We put IT up for a week somewhere little bit um but it's all right we gan to commission wolves too from you the direction now says deeply surprised not said about this but said, well, okay but don't announce wolves too yet apple and like his wolves too yet and he decided, yeah no, not going to doing that his phrase was I no longer trust apple as a creative partner no, that could be one thing. But we also have things like i've said on the show before, if you were a creative person and you had no idea for a show, apple might be the first place you go to cause you have a problem that is still not being watched by enough people. But IT has a good IT had a good track record.

And somewhere like disney, for example, has a spectacularly bad track record. Uh, CEO bob, I basically dissing right is right in the middle writing strike, sitting in his billion air. It's lita called the billionth we can retreat or something saying writers were wrong to be you excited, get paid as a slight exaggeration, he said, but not much.

And then you also have disney letting shows be made, and then after they completed, removing them forever for me, so you could get a deal with disney. You might not dealing with them to show you make and say over might die even after it's been made. So this needs like bottom of the list.

Who do you go to now? Apple s sliding down paramon plus, do they have any money? I think all of these companies and things are making actually maybe arguably sensible short term decisions, but they're gonna have long term ramifications.

I I think that like with anything, we're getting one side of the story. Couples not going to tell us what happened. A angry director gone to be angry. I believe him one hundred percent. So timing wolf is made with the wethered rc. Apple realizes this is not going to make us any money after they had a bit this didn't come out of nowhere, find me to the moon and a couple of others. Attica .

leases the our goal.

go this spy .

ful yeah goal.

Those those films just didn't do anything in theatres and like less than nothing. I was really kind of embarrassing for apple studios how poorly those performed. But they were also competing against these huge explosion, mission impossible, like films.

So apple, I think, realized way too late. They should have had this in way earlier. This isn't working out.

We need to do limited releases. So we're eligible for Oscars, but that's IT. This is people do not want to see made for streaming movies in theatres.

It's not happening. Let the block busters air in theatres and will stay out of IT. Or you know maybe apple should make a blockbuster and go that route, but they don't seem interested in as much. Or at least they thought maybe they thought alcohol was a blockbuster and IT wasn't.

But in any case, the pattern continues until we get to wolves, they make the decision that they're onna lose money putting in theatres so they do a limit release and then you start hearing these stories of, well, apple thought that was a terrible movie, so don't go see IT because they obviously lost confidence in IT. So apples like, no, I know we have other confidence in this movie. In fact, we're Greenly as equal and then the director says, you are supposed to say that I want to do equal, but I was meant to be a secret like that.

You revealed, ed, something I don't like, and you've went back on our deals. The too many bad things happening on pulling out completely and courses, these things go apple could sweet in the deal and he could come back that I who knows what the future holds, but the go to show that we've seen an increasing number of things, not just apple, but every streaming industry kind of falling apart to this idea that there no longer making content for the sake of these things existing, but they're making IT for the sake of money. And IT changes the game.

I won't say i'm not going to say here and tell you that Stephen siller g didn't go out here and make, you know, these amazing films like that. We didn't even get jassim park because, you know, I was in a money grab A I think they always expected to make money off these things, but the artistic integrity was still intact. And I think we're losing some of that.

We're just getting all of this garbage shoveled out down our throats because netflix s revealed something a while ago, a volume making a huge difference. Just put out everything that you can make and eventually a hit will arrive like, yeah, stranger, stranger things was great, but the thousands of media content that netflix produced around IT was a hot garbage. But everyone talks about strangers, right? So thankfully, apple hasn't gone down that road. But IT seems like the industry is still cleaning to the idea of make everything even if IT sounds done and IT will find an audience. It's it's an endless cycle that's honestly bad for .

we've always everything been driven by monitoring. Network television, of course, is always gone for what could sell the most advertising. But even network T, V, is more formally like a bad word.

And I mean the content, I mean the the process of making television in the states has always been very similar format. You have things like infant production companies being paid as soon out by the network, and they make up the rest of money in SDK ation. They all sorts of procedures, except have been that way in the states for decades, and they are not really the same anywhere else.

But even under those circumstances, produces and networks new things like you would have a writers room right for the whole season. And the benefit of that was that in america, more than something more in the U. K.

Writers of television become producers of television. And I believe that makes that television Better. We don't have that here is quite rare to have someone like recently Davis become a show, run out.

I mean, really rare shouldn't be and it's changing, but we benefit when that kind of thing happens. And this just not sure it's saying that apple has saying, no, you can't have a writers room for the whole run. You can have this many writers for that long.

And that's actually becoming like the british model, where right is sometimes treated like stationary. And I don't understand how a company that IT appears to be creatively motivated as much as is by money hasn't learned that there are reasons network television spends money when you could argue IT IT. Shouldn't I feel like we're having to the companies are relearning things and it's gonna at our cost. We get a great television now few years time, we will be out of the golden age. Maybe that's a possibility and then pick up again and it's all very predictable.

This solve is a powerful drug. And I I expect that in twenty years, people are we talking about the twenty twenty films being the greatest and the twenty forty films being the sad, terrible thing or nobody's creative anymore. It's just an in the cycle. I'm sure they were saying the same thing in the nineties, in the eighties that films losing its touch people, writers, you sure but at the same time I do honestly believe that we've lost the ability to make um passion projects I guess right you you you see what happened with was IT because opus being this other passion project and pained because IT was long and confusing and the plot was difficult to follow.

And then I you know what that could probably be a called classic in twenty years, who knows? But but at the same time, you look at the other end and like there's actual garbage being turned out, right, like who you not who you, a parent. Plus promoting this stupid, terrible film with jack black, about this kid, with this lexie, excEllently writing a letter to satan instead of sana. Really ay actual plot yeah and um yeah it's it's tok garbage and you know I but then I look back at the nineties and i'm like, I wonder again if it's the cloud of nasty talking and listeners can tell me maybe our demographic will disagree with me. Like I look at what something like little nicky did with adam sandler and IT worked but was IT because I was the right age of the right time watching that movie or was IT because the writing was Better again, little nicky didn't got here when in the awards.

But like, you know, IT was a good, simple story, simple comedy with some fun props, right? And IT seems like the people making IT just had a blast making IT versus something like dear sana, with jack black being kind of a cash grab, trying to capture his starting while he's starting in all of these big films um even the movie itself couldn't help but have a boz's all in the background and children wear mine crafts shirts the whole time. So I can't help but wonder if that's kind of what's happening here is we're just kind of everything's becoming so commercialized and so washed in in its commercialism that we're losing the touch with the art IT all comes in cycles.

You know, maybe maybe we'll earn our lesson. I've I keep hearing from people who make these things a lot, saying back in the day we were just fill room with writers and they would lock the door and come back and what we had made. And today we have we're lucky to have two writers trying to piece together a story line that they know half of because they one of them a new, higher, and the other one's reading a manuscript from the guy who quit because he was overwork, right? There's such a big difference. And how things were handled know twenty years ago versus today. And that makes me kind .

of more and .

for a Better time. And again, maybe methodic is kicking in. Maybe i'm wrong, maybe everything being made today he is amazing, but it's not the feeling I get. And I hope that apple can pull through this and realized they make enough money, and maybe they can use some of that to ignite creativity, throw some money at the wall, let people make their passionate and projects. And apple has an opportunity, I think we'll close on this here, to become another eight, twenty four, you know, just make the movies, make them beautiful, let the creatives be creative, step back, get out of the way, let them do their thing and magical happen, but let the money get involved, and IT will fall apart.

Every single I A positive end to this for a long time. It's been really difficult to get a film away. That was medium budget.

IT was either trip insigne or IT was six hundred million dollars or something apple going through. Apple had a certain spend that was going to a billion in a year or something that I cut from the figures. And IT was going to be on like two films.

Now IT sounds like a the same amount money on ten something. So they're going to be smaller budget films, which changes their stories, make them less risky financially. I think I could work out it's just a delicate time.

I've yet to watch a bad movie on apple TV, and yet I haven't watched arga yet.

So maybe that will change. That was great, but put me off. But I feel like .

the film is the trailer. That's probably the part. That's what IT falls apart. And that's my understanding.

From what I heard from people have watched IT, but everything pretty much watched. Every other feature links film on apple, TV and iron honestly haven't encounter about one. I loved wolves.

Wolves was excEllent.

Like to p peak, George loni pet love IT. So, so good. I am excited for f one.

I think they're doing great work over the I just I am afraid that from the creative side, from directors and writers and stuff, we're seeing some of that burn out that the rest of the industry is seen. And again, apple has the money. Just throw that throw out the walls, seat sticks kind of thing.

Don't do the netflix approach, not that throws the money at the wall, but just give more to what you have, right? Let people make the things you want to make, make more code as make more ted lasso. I think they are making were ted lasso.

S, I mean, we have three ted lasso. We have shrinking. We have bad monkey ted lasso. And ted lasso is coming back. So good for William, but I didn't want slow.

slow horse. So but you say you wanted to just .

joking no um so quickly I wanted to move down the list here. Apple did announced the finalist for its apple. We have some really good ones in here. Keo, the h video up from hayley um I think it's funny that blue let's play is in the same list as procreate dreams for ipad apps.

Notice yes.

blue is just a phenomenon isn't IT um do do you guys over there? Is that the australian universe?

So at last week, strictly come dancing, yeah, the original of dancing with the stars was like a charity version of IT. And there was a dancing which blue performed with the professional dances. And I kind of heard the name and now what he looks like. So yes, it's a big thing here as well.

Apparent blue e took over the world and deserve air. So it's it's an excEllent little piece of media. So we have ipad games, of course. Apple sweet heart assessment cream merage uh blot tro uh apple ark game in the year finalist.

You know, I wonder if apple just kind of slike well, that came out in twenty twenty four, right? Because i'm pretty sure ball to came out. I'm saying IT wrong. I'm pretty sure IT came out like last month and it's came to the here final list because to be fair, apple arcade didn't really have any bangers this year. I would say I could not name one that was just like, wow this is amazing um but cool yeah check out this list lots of a lots of five .

forty five one this one very big one only focus for and the I just mack up of the year and is like partial ity to and yes, I kind of slightly plants the air for that something so well made against some recognition IT Better be .

adobe live room as i'm saying.

I realize I don't actually know when apple y's going to enounce the winners, uh, for IT had they said the .

data yet and usually .

december ish.

okay, this simple like eleven through .

something I will actually be paying attention and routing for only if I guess might be love red today to do as well as IT should yeah yes.

we will get the list when IT comes out and share here. And I will be blasted in your faces every time you open the epsom. I don't worry, everyone will know who want apples awards.

I didn't want to mention IT is black friday. There is a million things if you are as you're are listening. Apple insider, of course, is going to be sharing a lot of stuff but not just um you know deals.

I wanted to share a different kind of deal, their APP deals. So if you go on blue sky, you'll see a bunch of any f developers putting their ebs on sale. Lots of lots of big names in there.

I would definitely say to check IT out or get a look in the notes. But moving on quickly, I wanted to talk about this little project I had going on. I wanted to make my mac portable. Oh.

if you actually done IT, he talks about done IT. yes. So I was .

never really doubt my mind. I mean, battery exist with A C outlets and was never issue, but there is a certain feature set. I just kind of wanted to have IT in front of me, so I knew what I wanted because I didn't really know what I wanted out of IT until actually did IT.

So I went on and found the cheapest no I won't say cheapest is about sixty dollars for decent battery with an outlet hundred White output and ordered IT got IT here. It's cute. I make sure IT of the selections that I had I picked the one that was the most similar dimension wise to the mac many and um yeah IT worked out couple of things.

So I this was definitely learning experience and I wrote about that. There's a link in the show notes. Um if you don't know the name of the battery, IT doesn't have one. It's one of those companies that just I think it's honestly a drop ship product from like a random chinese website.

But um it's labelled as portable laptop power bank one hundred what ac outlets seventy two to twenty thousand million hour with sixty five power delivery ub c portable laptop charger, external battery pack for macbook, no books and laptops. Thanks, amazon. Um this thing was cool is twenty thousand million of hours, which is about the standard for a smallish battery pack, a little bit bigger than five by five inches.

The many, many sits on top of IT comfortably. I bought a short ac outlet to plug IT in, so there wasn't a big cable to deal with great powered IT on the loud fans and the history of man turned on inside of this battery because has its own inverter, obviously because if you're playing in an A C cable and its a dc battery, IT needs to transfer the power and it's going to one hundred what. So it's a mildly large vantage.

So it's a loud I hear some um electrical wine coil wine as we call IT and and van noise as this battery is powering on them like oh no h experiment over throwing in the trash actually know IT IT was fine. It's just very loud. So put my airpower ds in and turn on, always cancellable to ignore IT plugged in the mac many powered IT on works great.

I got the power monitoring tool for my a menu bar in the mac so I could so much one of IT was drawing, I can hit sixty five watts, but IT um never did. I don't know what I would have to do to the thing to make IT hit that IT Operationally runs around eleven to fifteen watts, and that's where I stayed unless I was doing something taxing, when which IT would get up to maybe twenty five watts. So plenty of power IT can run for hours on twenty thousand million.

So I didn't want to sit here, run the timer. I would honestly just run all all afternoon like five, six, seven hours. So just kind of left to left IT b on that one plugged IT into my vision pro, ran them at many simultaneously from the same battery pack.

And that worked for about two hours, which is perfect. That's it's all you need is for apple vision pro battery, fully powered the whole time, like many Operating all good proof of concept complete. So now I guess i've lessons learned.

It's not a ups. So I plugged in the charger into its U, P, C. port. IT turns off the inverter so if it's charging IT cannot be discharging ooops a jeep battery for a um so in the future of finding a nice one, I wanted to have a passive power mode where I can unplug the cable and have a instantly changed to battery power without powering off the device. And I would also like IT to be silent.

So goals through feature, a battery like that would probably cost close to three, four hundred dollars, but I would be worth IT to have a cute little portable make many, uh, IT. Turns out vision products does not need an external monitor attached to the mac to go into virtual display mode, unlike sidecar. So I can run this thing completely headless, no dongles, no nothing, just powered by the battery.

Uh, connect my keyboard over bluetooth completely cite and scene type in the password to unlock them back because you're waking IT up from sleep. You can go to virtual display about what h from that state so you have to type in your password on the mechanical keyboard, on your pollutes keyboard, hit inner, wait a few moments, put on your vision pro, and then check and see if it's available. If IT isn't, you probably just typed to type in the password again, rent on repeat tells shows up in the menu.

And then you connect, and you have a virtual display on your vision pro from this little portable guy. Really cool. I love IT, and I can't wait for someone to make up a spoke battery .

for this good thing. Call me dense. But you so far into that very nice zed, why you would want this, which are thinking we got in a cbot to go bring a screen, was the advantage. But yes, a team, can you connect a macbook to a vision pro? You must be able to.

yes. But okay, so this is what gets interesting. Why did I do this? Why not go in by a macbook care? Well, first of all, I traded in my macbook pro for this um because of reasons.

So first of all, the macbook has a monitor and that they're beautiful displays and very expensive. The starting Price for a macbook air is a thousand dollars starting Price for my book pro. Uh so just under you know two grant, right? Well, I guess fourteen, nine, nine I guess if you're getting me fourteenth, yeah so in any case, expensive.

The mac many starts at six hundred dollars. So first of all, you're ditching all the hardware. You and why would I have a screen in my mac if i'm not using IT? I'm using the virtual display.

So that was another reason. And then you're burning battery power in all the self. And you can't run virtual display from a clamped al macbook. You has to be open.

And I didn't realize that that's od. You can run, you can run monitor country, I can you so OK, I expect that. Yes.

the but the macbook sleeps when IT shut unless it's connected to the external monitor. So you can't run virtual display while to sleep. Uh, yeah, so that was an issue.

Just a lot of little quibble. It's uh, a macbook is is going to take up this. So okay, I have the backpack from waterfield for upper vision pro.

IT has a slot for the vision pro. IT has a slop for my my mini battery and as a slot from my ipad pro and nothing else. So I couldn't bring my ipad and macbook with me at the same time with the backside, right? So like there are so many little considerations.

The mac, many if, again, if you, you can buy whatever battery pack you want, I could power the same ford ten hours on a decent little battery pack if I had IT and run IT completely headless from a and Carry in a pocket in my backpack, right? Like that's the kind of form factor we're looking at here. Um I have IT on my shelf, right? And sometimes I needed to be be portable, so I want to unplug IT for myself, elf, and Carry around with me.

But you can do that with the desktop, right? So there's a reason why I I pursue this in the first place and don't want a mac book. So believe me, I understand it's just like why not get the macbook but IT, when you really look into IT, IT does make sense.

And now i'm kind of getting the idea of, okay, well, what if I don't have the vision pro? I might buy one of those hd, my dongles, that to having an external monitor. So IT always thinks it's connected to a monitor.

And that way I can use shortcuts to use an apple scripts to awake the mac logging with my password and initiate side car, all from apple script over shortcuts on the ipad without having to touch the mac, which would be really cool. So there's a lot of fun things you can do here. It's IT was just meant to be, if a little project proof of concept. And I will likely be writing about this later when I find an actual like good, Better recommendation, because honestly, this battery is terrible. But I got the job that .

I ve just thinking. You are talking there about using psycho with an ipad, you could use an iphone on a common name of the term. I sometimes log in remotely to my office.

Max, I forgot something, and I do IT from the phone. It's not VPN vnc connection. So you could just bring a mac mum in your iphone. And now you get me sucked into this world now, right? You couldn't just pull a macbook and four thousand, and instead you have whatever the battery costs the next mini six hundred plus on the apple vision pro for three and half thousand yeah well.

I have the upgraded stuff. So it's like a four thousand dollar apple vision pro and one hundred dollar like many, uh, not included. So I actually had that comment of, yeah, you can have your own portable, uh, headless max set up just for the Price of sixty hour battle vision pro and mac, many not included.

So IT was a funny able thing, and I like that. I'm excited to see this is I love modularity in computing, and this is just another example of the possibilities of what apple smallest mac might be able to do versus a macbook pro, right? Everything has their own advantages and disadvantages, and I like expLoring.

Those are through these little projects. But yeah, this this was a fun project and i'm just always happy that kind of play around with my technology like why IT if you're not going have with IT, right? But speaking of fun um the iphone seventeen rumors are getting ridiculous.

I I don't even know what's happening anymore where some of these are just so obvious. One of them was like the television lds isn't coming to the iphone seventeen. Yeah, it's not the prophet.

Apple reserves that for the proponent. Why would IT come to the new slim model? I mean, I think the slim model even isn't getting the White camera.

I think it's going of one camera. So IT just IT was one of those just absurd rumors. Another one was no sim tray. Okay.

apple went easy. So you were asm in the us. Right over year. We've still got a deal with those fiddly little seven things.

but well, you don't have to. You still have you and you just have the physical porter and ultimately it's gona go away yeah, it's it's it's gonna go away. I didn't want to say the one that stood out to me though was i've seventeen pro might get rid of titanium.

No, going back to alliums. Um I don't unless apple has some new kind of aluminum that's cheaper but still durable, I is aluminum lighter than titanium, and that's a good question. I I don't know the answer to that.

but I believe titanium was much lighter. That was one the reasons people going on about how light the would have been. The fifteen get lots of in the numbers.

Now we're talking in so far in to future. The fifteen, peri said, with so much later. And because this comes .

from the information, which is a body track record on esty, if I had written, I would have said this was an unlikely rumor. We rated IT a possible, which we have a rumor rating system, if you guys didn't know. But yeah, this I do.

This is not happening. I don't I don't really know why apple would do this. I would be such a odd decision unless the world is just run out of titanium, which I guess is a possibility but um maybe they made too many apple cards.

I wonder maybe apple say the apple seventeen the apple iphone seventeen slim is made out of one hundred percent recycled apple cards. That would be interesting. Um .

moving on.

I think we're talking about it's it's that time of year, the of the year and everyone is talking about grading apples here, right apples putting people putting together the report cards. And I just want to say big f to the airports. Max, right?

You're not a fan. You've got them.

I'm wearing them. Uh, no, the the airport's are amazing products that the ones on wearing came out in twenty twenty. I'm talking about their update, just absolute failure of an update, just tragic.

And to pile on that sadness, IT appears that internally there are no plans to make the next generation ipod d max right now. I mean, that doesn't mean it's never going to come. It's just what do you do? An apple? Give us the h two chip, give us the improved noise cancelling and Better audio processing.

Honestly, if there was ever a reason to put an attitude chip in airports, max, it's the apple vision pro for the lossless connection. H to h two lossless. What are you doing? The most premium headset you could make for thirty five hundred dollars can not pair with your most premium headphones. What is .

happening? Didn't know that.

Yeah that's well, IT bears over blue too. But i'm i'm talking about like airpower s pro two are the only head funds you can buy from apple that have a proprietary chip set for comparing with the apple vision for losses ously.

You would think then as actually, I mean, this got to be a physical limit to a triple and even apple cannot date at the same time we are heading towards that holiday sea. You would have thought .

these were 是 possible .

presentable things, but I would have .

bought airport d's max to with h two chips in a hearty. I would have ordered them on preorder day. They would have been here. IT would cost me six hundred dollars, and I would have gladly done IT because they are amazing headphones. And the united technology would have made the leap amounts Better out of welcomed USB c would have been great.

But the fact that all I did was introduced a couple of colors and add USB c object failure of the products, honestly, like they should have just not updated IT. I mean, I know there's people out there who are happy with U S B C airports, max, and they are like finally one cable. It's just IT why like i'm glad you got IT and maybe there are new customers buying into IT.

That's fine. I understand why they exist, but apple, the h two chip is existed for a couple years now. It's not like you're out of them. I did you just not have someone available to go back and like can figure the motherboard in the airports s max to work this way.

Like is IT just what what is the problem and to have IT not even in the pipeline for IT to be updated any time in the next couple of years? Just wild to me. I don't understand the decision making there.

I get at a low volume products, but what is that stopped apple from updating their products before? Look at the mac pro, yeah doesn't come every couple of years, but we're talking about four years of their pod's max without an update and they still don't actually update IT. One of those weird like flips, the apple has very rare. Ooops, you did a actual bad job here, apple, but just want to point that.

But i've never even used dep of maxim. I can't comment, but that is no where stopped me. But this time IT will noted an f for F O next. That's sad.

Final, final little plug. And because I promise this is that I did watch the concert for one with ray. Oh yeah, excelling.

I want, I want fifty of these from every year of music. You can imagine IT does help. That raise is an awesome artist. I actually, at first discovered her through sl. SHE performed live, and SHE did an excelled job on the show. To the point, I was just like, okay, I to go figure out this artist and the reason why I gravitated towards her is because he has this big band sound, right?

I think you could appreciate this, William, so I would go give her listen, specifically, genesis SHE has a seven minute version of this, or I think it's a original version, but it's seven minutes long and there's this like big brand berry and SHE kind of gets jazan scatty in there. It's it's it's just so well done. The lyrics are good, the story telling just all of IT, but an apple vision pro and a little concert venue of just her singing and the and IT cuts away to the people playing uh instruments and the backup p singers singing along and IT was just a lot of fun.

And I have really like the format and I think IT again shows go back to the original one year, almost year ago. Now the original, like aryan ground day. I keep saying her name.

I am sure that's the one that I was. IT was, anyway, I was a musician inside of a studio cording. And that was great.

But you could tell that they didn't know what to do with the cameras, so they just put him in boxes. And we would jump between the boxes. A kind of inorganic ally during the session, IT worked.

IT was a good IT was a good video. And I still go back and look at IT sometimes because I was an excEllent representation of the technology. But then you jump forward almost a year to this concert for one.

And IT is a dramatic change and how we've learned how to film and use these things. There is no sense of being in the camera box. You're just watching a video. And that's and the way they frame IT, they they do pins and zoom and and tilts and different things. They are obviously figured out I had to put these things on rails, but just so much Better made. I'm sorry, Willy, you can watch IT, but uh, there is a uh thirty second h trailer, I guess an apple music if you really want to see what the venue looks like. But and they and just as a final plug, they did put the songs, the live recordings of the songs into apple music so you can listen to them, sense apple is right.

So I will do that. I do not have even heard of that before you start talking about IT. So i'll do that and relish. Okay, thank you.

And wrapped up. Uh, as always, we're going to look at our reviews. We did get a we talk about blue sky lot last week up h really leaning into the platform, enjoying IT massed on still exists.

I'm there. I'm checking the feeds, but i'm i'm noticing that a lot of the people I followed IT in method on are actually also creating the blue sky. So it's not that I i've abandon masses on.

It's just there's a lot of we're done and see right now and we're still kind of trying to figure out where everything will fall in the end. But again, i'm not going to go delete master on or anything. I'm experimenting with cross posting and all these things.

But we've seen a lot more discussion from listeners, people timing and saying, hey, I listen to the show. They're shopping in a different comments in different things. So i'm just seeing a lot activity there are.
