It’s been a rough couple of years for home buyers and sellers. Since mortgage rates began climbing in 2022, homes sales slowed to the lowest in recorded history. But according to some experts, there’s hope on the horizon. At the National Association of Realtors' (NAR) annual conference, Chief Economist Lawrence Yun shared an optimistic forecast, predicting a 9% increase in home sales for 2025—and an even bigger jump of 13% in 2026. Yun attributes this rebound to broader macroeconomic trends, such as job growth and the eventual stabilization of mortgage rates.
