台灣雲門舞集將參加世界芭蕾舞節日 Taiwan's Cloud Gate Theater to Join World Ballet Day
Taiwan's Cloud Gate Dance Theater is home to some of the most talented (有才華) dancers in the country.
Its dances and productions have been performed in many different countries.
And now it's getting ready to participate in one of the biggest dance events in the world!
On October 19th, Cloud Gate Dance Theater will be the first group from Taiwan to participate in World Ballet Day. 雲門舞集是台灣第一個獲邀參與世界芭雷日的舞蹈團隊。
Cloud Gate's dance team will be shown together with some of the world's most famous dance teams.
Around 47 different teams will be performing in total.
The events will be online (網路上) because of the pandemic, but this is still a huge step forward.
It means that the hard work of Taiwanese dancers will be on stage for the world to see.
And now that Cloud Gate is involved with an event this big, they hope it will bring more chances to work with dance teams around the world in the future. 雲門希望參加這種大型的活動可以帶來更多與世界各國舞團合作的機會。
Cloud Gate's director Cheng Tsung-lung says this shows the importance of the world's artists coming together, especially during these tough times.

諾貝爾獎宣布2021年得獎者 2021 Nobel Prize Winners Announced
In recent weeks, we talked about the "Ig Nobel Prize" (搞笑諾貝爾獎), an award for fun science discoveries.
Well, its name actually comes from the "Nobel Prize" (諾貝爾獎), one of the most famous awards in the world.
Each year, there are Nobel Prizes in physics (物理學), chemistry (化學), physiology or medicine (生理學或醫學), literature (文學), economics (經濟學), and peace (和平).
They are awarded (頒發) to people and groups who do the world's most important work in each of these subjects.
This year's Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded to three scientists for work that has helped us understand more about climate change (氣候變化).
The Nobel Prize in Chemistry was given to two scientists who have created a new tool to build molecules (分子), which can help us make better medicine.
And the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine went to two scientists who researched how our bodies feel heat, which could help us understand why people feel pain (疼痛), and how to stop it.
Meanwhile, the winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature is a writer whose books tell stories of the lives of immigrants (移民), and the problems they face in new countries.
The Nobel Prize in Economics has been awarded to three men who have spent their lives studying labor economics (勞動經濟學) and relationships.
And finally, the Nobel Peace Prize will go to two people who have been fighting for people's rights to freedom of expression in Russia and the Philippines. 最後，諾貝爾和平獎頒給兩個人，這兩位一直在爭取人民的言論自由。
But even outside of these special winners, there are hundreds of other people who have done amazing work for the world, and did not receive an award.
Of course, the awards are meaningful (有意義的)… but we have to remember that many people are changing the world every day, without us knowing.
So let's give thanks to them, too… because someday, you could be next!
007接班人現在不考慮 No Discussion of New Bond Now
The next 007 will have to wait.
Movie studio executives say they are not thinking right now about who will play James Bond next.
Daniel Craig's last movie as the superspy (超級間諜) hit theaters in late September.
He played the role in four films.
丹尼爾·克雷格不再演007，電影公司說目前沒有在找他的接班人。
Officials say they will not start thinking about Craig's replacement until next year.
They want to give him time to enjoy the success (成就) of his final outing as Bond.
The London premiere of No Time to Die had several members of the British royal family attend.
Craig himself attended the event, as did Billie Eilish, who sang the theme song.
