Pangolins Ready to Travel to Prague
Taipei Zoo is getting ready to help send pangolins to Prague (布拉格).
Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic (捷克的首都), a country in Europe.
Two Taiwan pangolins will travel there to live in Prague Zoo.
It's part of a breeding program (繁殖計畫), to help create more pangolins.
Because many kinds of pangolin are in danger around the world.
Pangolins are mammals (哺乳動物), but they have scales (鱗片) like an alligator.
They curl up into a ball when they feel threatened (被威脅).
They are known as "the world's most trafficked animal."
That means people hunt (獵捕), steal and sell them to other countries.
They are worth a lot of money, because people use their scales in traditional Chinese medicine (中醫).
Luckily, Taiwan has been so good at pangolin conservation, the number of pangolins in Taiwan is increasing.
Although nobody knows exactly how many pangolins exist; they are mysterious (神秘).
But it's the only place in the world people think this is happening.
So Taiwan wants to share its success with other countries.
Last year, the Czech Republic's Senate president (參院議長) visited Taiwan.
It was a sign that relations between the two countries are getting even better.
China likes to lend pandas to countries it is friends with.
So perhaps by lending the Czech Republic two pangolins, Taiwan considers that country a good friend.
New AR Pikmin Game Coming Soon
A new Nintendo AR game is hitting phones around the world.
AR stands for augmented reality
And augmented reality is when a game uses the real world, but also uses some fantasy (奇幻) elements, too.
Pokemon Go was an extremely popular Nintendo AR game.
But Nintendo's new AR game features Pikmin (皮克敏)!
Pikmin are colored characters with leaves and flowers sprouting from their heads.
There have been several Pikmin games across different Nintendo consoles.
The new game Pikmin Bloom is free to play.
But like Pokemon Go, you can spend money on game items (項目), if you want to.
And also like Pokemon Go, Pikmin Bloom encourages people to go on daily walks outside.
You can walk around and collect seeds (種子).
These can be planted, and then they bloom (開花) into Pikmin!
You can team up with other players and play together.
The AR feature makes it look like the Pikmin are in the real world.
One of the creators said it is about "transforming the mundane into a more beautiful world."
That means taking something every day and boring and making it into something fun.
Pikmin Bloom is currently available in Australia and Singapore.
It will be released worldwide soon!
