國小老師領養一隻松鼠 School Teacher Adopts Squirrel
If you have a pet, what kind of animal is it?
Is it a cat or a dog? Maybe a mouse or a bird?
We're sure it probably isn't a squirrel (松鼠).
But a teacher at an elementary school in Kaohsiung decided to adopt (領養) a squirrel after it fell into her life.
Literally, the squirrel fell from a tree on to a student's shoe.
The teacher didn't intend (有意) to adopt the squirrel.
Squirrels are wild animals (野生動物) so people shouldn't take them in as pets.
But the teacher said staff at the school tried to return the squirrel to its mother.
However, it became clear the mother had abandoned the squirrel.

The teacher called the squirrel Rui Bao Bao (瑞寶寶) and feeds it milk using a syringe (針筒).
She said squirrels become adults at 10 months old, but Rui Bao Bao is only 2 months old, which means he still needs to be fed by someone else.
A lot of people expressed concern (擔心) about the school raising a wild animal.
They think that if the squirrel gets used to being around people, it may not survive in the wild.
The school said they were trying to raise the squirrel with as little human interaction (與人類接觸) as possible.
And they will release it back into the wild when it is old enough to take care of itself.
But the school wants to take this opportunity to teach the students more about squirrels.

Lego將會挑戰有害的性別刻板印象 Lego to Combat "Harmful Gender Stereotypes"
Blue is for boys and pink is for girls.
Cars are for boys and dolls are for girls.
These are things people will often say, and it's an idea we might be faced with when we visit toy stores.
Because many toy stores have sections (部門) for boys and others for girls.
But do you think this is right?
Lego doesn't think so.
In fact, the plastic block-making company has called these ideas "harmful" (有害).
The ideas are known as "gender stereotypes" (性別刻板印象).
And Lego said it will be removing "harmful gender stereotypes" from all its toys.
That means no toys made by Lego will be marketed (推銷) just towards boys or girls.
A researcher says that boys who don't play with stereotypical "girls'" toys, like dolls, may miss out on learning skills, like nurturing.
研究者說沒有玩刻板印象中「女生玩具」的男生，可能會缺乏養育之類的生活技能。
And girls will miss out on skills if they don't play with "boys'" toys like bricks.
But encouraging (鼓勵) boys to play with "girls'" toys is not easy.
A survey (調查) found that 71 percent of boys across the world thought they might be bullied (霸凌) if people see them playing with "girls'" toys.
Because of this, Lego said it is working hard to make sure it markets all its toys to everyone.
And it isn't just Lego fighting against gender stereotypes in toys.
The state of California in the U.S. has said all large toy stores must now have gender-neutral (中性的) sections.
That means sections without toys that are just marketed to boys or girls.

流亡者三人組合體巡演 The Fugees Launch Reunion Tour
A classic music group is back together.
The Fugees have already launched a reunion tour (合體巡演) across the United States.
The US tour started in late September, and will run through November.
The group will then go to Europe and Africa in December.
流亡者三人組合體巡演在美國已經開始了，十二月會去歐洲和非洲。
The Fugees formed in 1990, but split up (解散) in 1997.
They did get back together for a two-year period in 2004.
They are reuniting now to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their second album, called The Score.
The group has three members: Lauryn Hill, Pras Michel, and Wyclef Jean.
