台灣高山降雪 Snow Comes to Taiwan
Brr… have you been feeling the chill?
It's a little warmer now.
But, we did have a few days of wintery (冬天的、寒冷的) weather.
In fact, it was so cold, that we got snow on high mountains!
It started over the weekend on Jade Mountain.
Jade Mountain is the tallest mountain in Taiwan.
And its peak (峰) became white on Christmas morning.
The 3,952-meter tall mountain saw snowfall starting early Saturday morning.
It didn't last very long, but many people enjoyed the little bit of a "white Christmas".
Then on Monday this week, a lot of snow fell on Hehuanshan.
Everything there was covered in white powder (粉狀的雪).
高山降下大雪，變成銀白世界，許多人都上山追雪。
There was so much snow, that snow removal trucks (鏟雪車) were used to clear the roads.
Many people drove their cars up the mountain to see the snow.
And they had to put snow chains on their car tires.
山上有些路段，必須要在輪胎上掛好雪鍊才可以通行。
The Central Weather Bureau says a strong continental cold air mass (大陸冷氣團) moved over Taiwan starting Saturday.
The cold front was also carrying a lot of moisture (濕氣).
So parts of Taiwan not high up in the mountains saw some rain too.

Buying a house costs a lot of money.
But what if you could trade (交換) for one?
A woman in the US wanted to see if she could get a house by trading things.
Demi Skipper started trading two years ago.
First, she set out some rules (規則).
She can't spend any money, except for shipping (運輸).
And she can't trade with anyone she knows.
She showed all of her trades on TikTok.
Demi started with a hairpin (髮夾).
And over the next 19 months, she traded with other people 28 times.
One time, she traded a snowboard (滑雪板) for an Apple TV.
Another time, she traded an SUV for three tractors (拖拉機).
But it wasn't all smooth sailing (一帆風順).
Demi says she made some bad trades too.
She once traded a Mini Cooper for a diamond necklace.
Demi says she thought the diamond necklace was worth around $20,000 U.S. dollars.
But the necklace was actually worth about $2,500.
For her last trade, Demi had a solar-powered trailer (太陽能露營拖車).
And she traded the trailer for a house in the state of Tennessee (田納西州).
The house has two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a backyard.
She says it's a "fixer-upper" (需要整修的房子).
Demi plans to move into it next month, with her husband and their dog.

韓國天團BTS三成員確診新冠病毒 BTS Members Contract COVID-19
Members of BTS have tested positive for COVID-19.
The band just got back to South Korea from the U.S.
BIGHIT Music says Suga tested positive first.
He went into quarantine right away, and did not come into contact with other BTS members.
RM also tested positive, but is not showing any symptoms.
And Jin was the last to test positive and BIGHIT Music says he has a light fever.
All three have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, and are resting at home.

The K-pop supergroup is on a long vacation.
At the American Music Awards in November, BTS was named artist of the year and favorite pop duo or group.
The band also won the favorite pop song award for "Butter".
The BTS and Coldplay song "My Universe," hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in October.
It was BTS' sixth Hot 100 No. 1.
