Hi, 大家好 I am Bing Dwen Dwen, 我是冰墩墩 the official mascot of Olympic 2022北京冬奥会的 Winter Games Beijing 2022. 官方吉祥物 Wondering what my name means? 想知道我的名字有什么含义吗 Well, “Bing” means ice in Chinese, 没错 “冰”在汉语里就是字面意思 while the “Dwen Dwen” here means stocky and cute. 而“墩墩”则象征着敦厚可爱 Do you like my suit of ice? 你喜欢我的“冰壳”外衣吗 It’s a symbol of purity and strength, 它象征着纯洁与力量 and the characteristics of the Winter Olympics. 以及冬奥会的特色 People say that I am a lively panda 人们都说我是个活泼可爱的大熊猫 symbolizing the strong body, tough will 象征着强健的体魄 顽强的意志 and inspiring spirit of the Winter Olympics athletes. 以及冬奥运动员们令人振奋的精神 I’m ready to share the true spirit 我已经准备好与所有人一起 of the Olympics with all of you! 共享真正的奥林匹克精神 And meet my best friend Shuey Rhon Rhon. 向你介绍一下我最好的朋友雪容融 He’s a baby Chinese lantern, 他是个中国灯笼宝宝 which is a millennia-old cultural symbol 灯笼是个有着千年历史的文化符号 associated with harvest, 象征着收获 celebration, 欢庆 prosperity and brightness. 繁荣和明亮 The first character of its name “Shuey” 雪容融名字中的第一个字“Shuey” has the same pronunciation 与汉字中的“雪”字 as the Chinese character for snow. 读音相同 And the first “Rhon” means “to include”, “to tolerate”, 第一个“容”的意思是“容纳”“包容” while the second “Rhon” means 而第二个“融”则意味着 “to melt”, “to fuse and warm”. “融化”“融合”与“温暖” The name expresses the well wishes 这个名字表达了美好的愿望 that there could be more inclusion 希望对于残疾人 for people with impairments, 能有更多的包容 more dialogue and understanding 世界上的不同文化 between cultures of the world. 能有更多沟通与理解 Here are our Olympic and Paralympic logos. 这是我们的冬奥会和冬残奥会会徽 They are stylized versions 其中一个是 of the Chinese character “冬”, 汉字“冬”的艺术化 which is “winter”, “冬”代表“冬天” and the Chinese character “飞”, 另一个是汉字“飞” which means “fly”. 意味着“飞翔” Quite an elaborate design, 设计真是巧妙 isn’t it? 对吧 We hope you like us, 我们希望你能喜欢我们 and we are all here waiting for you 我们两个在这里等你 at the Winter Olympics 2022 in Beijing! 共享2022年北京冬奥会
