Nate Feathers is a father of 5 with 1 more on the way. He likes to say he has one in college and one in diapers. He lives in Nashville TN with his wife Megan.
Nate grew up in a religious home with both mom and dad. As he puts it, he had a great childhood. Loving parents and a happy life.
But as the oldest left the nest he realized that the way he had parented felt like it had cost him a connected relationship with his son. Looking back there were many areas of life where he regretted how he parented…which he states was by default. We parent the way we were parented unless we choose differently.
Now he lives out and is a big proponent for fathers living as complete examples of self discipline as the way of disciplining children, that conscious parenting is the way to true connectedness with our kids, and that the power and energy of our words a parents will set the trajectory of the life of our kids.
He shares his failures and successes as a dad so that other dads behind him don’t feel the regrets of traditional parenting when their kids leave the nest.
