Welcome into the CSGO Bears podcast on this very happy Friday. After yesterday, let the record show. The Chicago Bears and the Chicago White Sox are undefeated in the calendar year of 2025.

That's awesome. That's awesome. As Greg is muted. Yes. And the Cubs are undefeated in the United States. So we won't count anything outside of our borders. Okay. Fair enough. Welcome into the show. Adam Ho, Greg Braggs Jr. With you here on this Friday. Very exciting Bulls game last night, too. We're going to.

Incorporate all of this. Look, we don't get a lot of good Chicago sports mojo. So, you know, we apologize if we're going to treat this like, you know, we just actually won something because we need to do it for ourselves. I think like, for instance, like,

I know that the white socks paraded will venerable around and like did a, basically a champagne celebration for one win. I don't care. I think it's great because that was our season. First time the socks have been over 500 since like 2022. So yes, you guys can celebrate.

So we're going to do that on this show today too. Adam Rank's going to join us. We're going to incorporate some of the love of yesterday into the show. Do have some exciting things to talk about on the top here. One is, you know, we've been telling you all over and over and over again about the awesome draft guide that we have with Fran Duffy that's available to our diehards. Those of you that have been around here the last few years know that we also do a Bears 100. And before we had Fran Duffy,

We had our own database just for Chicago where we ranked the Bears' needs, and that's still coming.

And it's coming Monday. So as in addition to the amazing draft guide that you have already available to you from Fram, CHO Diehards will also have access to the Bears 100 database, which will be upgraded from past years because it will include all of Fram's awesome scouting reports. But we're going to kind of re-rank it on our end to specifically to make a Bears board because they're

you know, the bears board will look different from the Cowboys board and the Cardinals board and all that. So that's coming your way on Monday. I want to make sure you know about that. So become a diehard. You could scan that QR code and,

on if you're watching on YouTube right now. And I don't know like how he has his database spelled out. Like if you go to Hogue's office that he's sitting in right now, like he's got multiple screens and he's got different information to, you know, help him do his homework while he's watching tape. But yesterday when we had Fran Duffy on, like it was such an elite moment when one of our diehards asked him in the rapid fire segment, like, Hey, can you give us a comp to Mason Graham and his weight? And he's like, Oh, well,

Well, I don't have one listed, but let me look in, in three seconds, he listed off 35 people and he had just said he didn't have anybody. I'm like, well, which one is it? I mean, so like when you talk about the research and the extensiveness that Fran Duffy puts into this, not only with the draft guide, but now the bears 100 that's coming up, you're getting your money's worth. That's for sure.

And we also want to let you know too, if you missed it, we do have our first team specific YouTube channel. More will be coming. We got to do these things slowly. But

Cubs fans, CSU Cubs channel is out there. We could greatly use your help in bumping it up and getting it growing. I would even say, because I am a Sox fan, I, of course, went and hit subscribe on there. So if you love this show, if you love the CSU Bear Show, just do us a favor. Maybe pop over there to the CSU Cubs channel and hit subscribe.

Just get the thing moving a little bit. We greatly, greatly appreciate it. As we start this new endeavor, endeavor, endeavor, not in Denver. I'm glad I wasn't in Denver last week. I would love to be in Denver. It's a lovely town. The Bulls were in Denver on Monday. They won. All right, let's get it back to the Bears. Let's talk about bear watching because we need to watch what's going on here with some of these perspective things.

Bears prospects and bear watching is always brought to you by right on. No matter what outdoor activities you prefer, it's always important to have the best view. Check out the full line of right on products today at right on optics dot com slash C.H.O. That's R.I.T.O.N. Optics.

dot com slash CSO. We don't have the actual right on my ocular say because Carm took him with them to arms in the woods. Yeah, he's literally bear watching in northern Michigan.

yes he has them right now with his right on optics and so maybe he'll get attacked by a bear great great can only wish god willing all right so what we're gonna do for our bear watching segment is it's been an interesting year i know greg usually embarrass twitter um

gets kind of really in the weeds and it's a fun thing to sort of track this time of year, but the 30 visits that happen, I want to talk a little bit about like what the 30 visits actually mean, but also we can bring up the players that we have that we know about for 30 visits. So essentially,

Just what the 30 visits are. You're allowed to bring 30 prospects to your actual building. Now, there is also a local pro day that if you are from a local college or grew up in the area, you are eligible to come to Hallis Hall for a local pro day. So that also happens. So there are more than 30 prospects.

prospects to end up visiting household. But these 30 visits are a little bit different in that they're kind of all day things. If you watch hard knocks last year, there was a scene where they had the quarterbacks in the building with the giants, like multiple quarterbacks. And they were in there with the quarterbacks coach, Mike Kafka or offense coordinator. And they're actually like drawing plays and stuff like that. So that's the type of stuff that goes on in these 30 visits. So right now we know of five names, right?

that have actually, so only five. I mean, I feel like this list is usually longer by now at this point. But we know that Ashton Gentry, I think that was Jeremy Fowler who reported that one. Yep. Will be coming to the house hall for a 30 visit. Rashard Smith from SMU. That was actually our guy, Joseph Hoyt, who covers the Cowboys for DLLS. Josh Connerly, the tackle from Oregon. Nick Martin, Oklahoma State.

Uh, I, I did want to put an asterisk on that one. Cause it was a little unclear on the wording of that report. If that was a 30 visit or a private workout, I think it was a 30 visit. It was a little bit unclear. Um, then Isaiah bond from Texas wide receiver, who I'm really intrigued by regardless. These are all guys that we know the bears are taking a little bit of a closer look at. Um, so before I kind of get into what that actually might mean or not mean Greg, just your reaction to, uh,

you know, hearing the big one there is obviously gentee, but just hearing that, that, that those names involved in some of these 30 visits. Yeah. And I don't know if the first five, like I'm sure by the end of it, do they always allocate and they make sure they do a full 30 every team home? Or is that your minimum, you know, outside of your, you don't have to do 30. Right. So that's what I'm saying. So it's like, so,

So I don't know of putting too much stock into who the first five were, but just taking that for face value, two of the five are running backs. You know, three of the five are skill position where we're so trench drunk, or at least I've been trench drunk for the last two months here in Chicago. And certainly Ben Johnson and Ryan poles have been as well with the way they retooled a free agency, but three of these five guys are, are skill.

You know, and only one of them is in the trenches. So I find that interesting. And, you know, it is frustrating for me as a fan to like to me, if we're going to have top 30 visits across the league, I feel like they should be officially announced. And so it's a weird process to me that we have to get this through different, you know, you know, reporters and journalists and, you

there's a discrepancy on whether it's a private workout or if it's a, you know, just give us the info. Why does it have to be state secret? But outside of that, certainly an intriguing list yesterday when we talked to Fran Duffy, you know, he talked about, you know, Brashard Smith running back out of SMU and how he was a wide receiver converted to a running back. So that certainly, you know, that,

that rings a bell for what the kind of players that Ben Johnson looks for in his offense. So, and then obviously Isaiah bond, I think also, you know, for me, I'm always looking at skill position. So the fact that they are looking at wide receiver, the way they are still certainly is interesting to me. So it'll, it'll be interesting to see what the first four picks are.

in terms of position will be, but could it be running back? Could it be wide receiver or is it going to be safety and trenches? We're starting to get a clear scope of that image. Yeah. And so let me talk a little bit more about what these visits mean. I mean, the, there was a question up there from Eric Bochanton a second ago about, you know, do they use these for, for medicals? I mean, yeah, I mean, they use them for a bunch of reasons. And I think like, I understand that the,

The instinct when you hear that, you know, a guy like Ashton Gentry, oh, he's going on a 30 visit, man, that must mean the Bears are very, very interested. Well, what it really means is it means they need more information on a prospect. You know, so...

It could be medical. It could be character. It could be anything. But you only get 30 of them. So if you're going to say, like, let's just start a number like at the end of the day, there's 150 guys that end up on the Bears draft board going into draft weekend. Well, there's probably a bunch of guys in that 150 that.

they feel really, really good about without having to bring them into house hall or do a private workout. Cause they don't all get private workouts and they don't all get to come to house hall for closer inspection. So, you know, it's just as likely that they have concerns over a prospect that they're bringing in as it is. Oh man, they just love them. They want to spend time with them. Could be both. I'll give you an example. I'm not surprised to see Isaiah bond's name on this list.

Isaiah Bond, if you watched him at Alabama or you watched him early in the season at Texas last year before he got banged up, dude looked like to me a first round wide receiver for a couple of years now. And now he's fallen back. Maybe we found out why. I mentioned this on the show yesterday. Bob McGinn, who gets a lot of information from scouts and puts them out on a great website called Go Long. This is some of the information he got on him. OK, I'm going to read this to you.

quote prototypical, what you would think in a wide receiver, just a generic boiler plate, selfish diva wide receiver. One scout said, well,

But God, he's got an incredible skill set. He's really fast and he's athletic. He can win with speed, with quickness. His run after the catch is amazing. Great ball skills. You wish a guy with his skill set had a better overall body of work in terms of production. He's first round talent, but combine character and production and whether he goes there, I don't know. And let me...

Speaker 2 : Well, and as Fran Duffy said yesterday, he could potentially fill that Jamison Williams role. And that's like for bears fans as you know, the bears have, you know, kind of scoured the free agency wire for a couple of one year deal guys that aren't necessarily going to fill that spot. And we all understand it's not going to be the lions offense, but Ben Johnson's always going to want speed. So the fact that there isn't even, even an option on the table that can potentially be the Jamison Williams of this offense is exciting.

Yeah. And, and again, like, so, so to me, this fits like the perfect prospect that you want to bring in your building. Cause you know, the talents there, you see it on tape, you see the speed. Then you run like a four, three, five. I want to say it is pro day. And I think Ryan poles was there too. So, but if there are character concerns, you know, you bring up Jameson Williams, we've literally seen them in him in games with Antoine Randall L and

like in his face, coaching him up. That's why you bring a guy into your building. You get them around the coaches. You get, you know, it's a job interview and then you see if it's compatible. And so, and I can tell you for sure, some of these 30 visits end with let's remove this magnet off the board.

We're good. We're not going to draft them. And then there's some other ones where, you know, bears go on to draft to one of these guys and they'll say, dude, his 30 visit.

it really well. We feel comfortable with whatever concerns there are out there. So that's why these happen. And then there are some that are medical too. And by the way, he finished the season with an ankle injury. And how much do you think, and I know we got to get to an ad break here, but like how much do you think that teams use a top 30 visit to throw their other teams in the league off the scent of what they're going to do in the draft? I think there are maybe sometimes, I

I almost feel like it's the opposite though, that they will, will, will try to be not associated with the player at all. And then pull the Okie doke of, Oh no, we actually, cause I'm not, I'm forgetting to me. I don't think Mitch took a 30 visit too. Right. And I don't think, and I don't think Darnell Wright did either. And it was famously reported how he, maybe not famously, but for bears fans notably reported that they put him through a really hard private

workout, but he was never brought in officially for a top 30 visit. Now, that being said, there have been a lot of players that have come in for top 30 visits that the bears did draft under Ryan poles. So typically Ryan does try to bring in guys that he's highly interested in and very may potentially will draft. I, as we were running through this segment, uh,

went through my sources, Hogue, as I try to put on my journalism hat. And I did get it confirmed that Nick Martin linebacker was an official, is an official top 30 visit for the bears. So I know there was some discrepancy. We were just trying to make sure we were accurate on that reporting, but I have it officially confirmed through my sources. Thank you very much that it was an official top 30 visits. So as we yesterday talked about our needs and,

you know, and where they're ranked now, no pun intended for our next segment. Um, you know, linebackers certainly something they have to start looking ahead to the future along with some other, uh, positions. So, uh, I know we got to take a timeout here, Adam. Uh,

Uh, and then the other, yeah, go ahead. I'm sorry. Just real quick. I, you know, to answer your question though, there definitely is some cloak and dagger stuff that goes on here. You know, years later we did find out about, um, a very, very secret secret private workout between the saints and Patrick Mahomes. Um,

then that was part of why the chiefs felt the need to make the trade that they did to, to go up and get them. So this stuff, there's definitely secrecy involved. There's definitely trying to throw other teams off your scent with, with different players. It does happen. But yeah, let's take our first time out. We'll bring in Adam rank on the other side, but first.

Yes, absolutely. But first got to give a shout out to our guys at bet three, six, five. Make sure you're using the code C H G O three, six, five,

All right. Let's go out to the Hooters hot wing hotline and bring in our guy, Adam Rank on this Friday. What's up, Adam? Oh, you're muted. Like I was muted. The meatballs. Matthew Friday. Did everybody hear it or not? Who knows? Now I'm ready to go. Now I'm dialed in. How is everybody doing?

Great. I mean, yesterday was a rare day in Chicago sports. You know, I know you're an Angels fan. So, you know, Hogue got to get an up close and up close look at Comiskey, as I still call it, with your Angels. But overall, Chicago fans are feeling great, Adam. It was a wild day in Chicago sports, especially with the Bulls and Josh Giddey hitting a half court Eve to win it.

A lot of cool things going on. And I don't know. I'll tee myself up. A lot of good things going on within the world of Chicago sports. So, yeah, we haven't. Do we not or what? No, we have. I got it. I got it. Yeah, I was just I was just thought we were exchanging pleasantries. I want to make sure I'm reading the production notes on the side. Yeah, there's a lot going on. We're going to get up.

We came up with this idea to, you know, allow Adam to – he's got – this is an awesome last name, right? Adam Rank. By the way, can I say something right now for everybody who knows? I'll let you know. My real last name is Godletsky. No, I'm just joking. It is actually Rank.

It is an Irish name and it is my act. I get asked periodically because it does seem fake, but it legitimately is the last name that I grew up with. Contact anybody who went to school with me at Coronita Elementary School. They will confirm.

Nice. Nice. Well, and if you're going to have that last name, though, we're going to have to ask you to rank things. So we're going to do rank them with Adam Rank. We might work on that title. I don't know. It might be catchy. It might not be. We'll work on it. Sportsnet's going to sue somebody because that's what we do every Monday night during the NFL season. See, there we go. Then we're going to have to come up with something else. Maybe we'll do a different name for it. And then after five weeks, we can rank the names that we had for this segment. We'll do something like that. I don't know. Yeah, let's do that.

We're giving Adam the opportunity to rank the things that really just, well, how do you want to word this this week? Just what's on your mind going into, and it's not just all bear stuff. No, I mean, it sort of is connected. It's all Chicago sports this week. I have five takes.

on Chicago sports because I wanted to spread the wings. I know CHGO does a great job of covering all things Chicago. And I didn't want to be, obviously this will be more geared towards the Bears as we get closer to the football season. But I did also want to touch on a number of things that are happening in Chicago. As a matter of fact, I've got five right here. But my sixth one that actually got kicked out is I wanted to have a Bulls take

And I was trying to – because I'll be honest with you. I'm not the biggest NBA guy. But I truly believe, because I do know that there's some people that have been – I don't know. What are the Bulls, like 11-2 or 9-2 in their last – They're 9-2 in their last 11. There it is. Okay, so they've been playing really well. And people are like, oh, all these other teams are tanking. The Bulls are not. Now it looks like I'm assuming they're going to go to the playoffs. I feel like the NBA draft lottery should be the last –

four teams to make the playoffs in each conference so that there is an incentive to play well and to try to sneak into the playoffs and not reward the teams that are historically bad and i was my initial thought was like because i didn't know if the bulls were going to make it or not they should find a way to give the bulls a number one pick like it's not like the nba has never done anything underhanded with the draft lottery uh for anybody who's old enough to remember the uh

the frozen envelope for Patrick Ewing, like the most made up thing ever. You're like, Oh, we're going to start this draft lottery. And Oh, lo and behold, the New York Knicks somehow get the most sought after prospect since Larry Bird and magic Johnson. Amazing how that worked out. Oh, Indiana came in second. Who could have seen that coming except anybody with the brain. So, uh, Oh,

Oh, one year later, Elton Brand falls right into our lab. Hey, right. Bulls are in a tough spot. They have a 1% chance of Derrick Rose. Here you go. Here it is. Now Bulls fans are hoping that's the exact scenario. This is what should happen.

Yes, it should. Adam Silver should just pick the most deserving team. Like, ah, whatever. Let's give it to the Lakers because they could use the help. But anyways, I'm going to go through top five things about Chicago sports this week. I don't know how much time I have. We can work on that. I'll go through them. And then we can digest and move on and show up. This will be a work in progress.

Number five, here we go. Does the MLB hate the Cubs? Number one, you start your season in Japan, and I get it. You have some Japanese players, but honestly, once the Dodgers, nobody cares. Once Otani's over there, that's fine. Don't put the Cubs through this, and if you're going to put the Cubs through this, don't make them open in Arizona in a West Coast time situation.

So all these guys, I'm talking to Greg last night. It's 1130 your time, I'm assuming. The Cubs game still go. You couldn't give them a home game. A home Friday for starting on the road in Japan against the presumed champions who are going to, who the only thing of worrying about baseball right now is if the Dodgers go undefeated or not. That is really the only thing we're concerned about. Did they win that? I don't even know.

And they're wearing gold printed. Shut up, Dodgers. You're the worst organization. Nobody likes you. Number four. Let's go with this question. And it's a it's a noodle scratch. Why? Why not? Peanut Tillman for the Hall of Fame. I see these tweets come out like, hey, when are we going to put him in the Hall of Fame? I'm afraid I've got some bad news. One of the things that is the most pressing for Dodgers.

defensive players to get into the Hall of Fame is whether you want a Super Bowl or not, which is stupid because you hear all the time. The are like wins are not a quarterback stat. And yet when you look at players who have been snubbed for the Hall of Fame from the defensive side of the ball, Luke Keekly Patrick Willis a couple of years ago. It comes down to whether or not they were on a Super Bowl winning team. All right, let's move on to number three. I don't know how much time I can take. I know you I don't want to make you guys bored. Number three.

So the White Sox might not be the worst team in the MLB. They smoked the Angels 8-0. And then Logan Ohapi comes up and is like, well, at least we're not going to get shut out. Give the Angel fans a little thing. There was a little hanging slider there that Logan Ohapi hit deep. Logan Ohapi last year. I know you guys don't care about the Angels. 20 home runs as an Angels catcher, the most since Lance Parrish in the 80s.

I'm assuming that's what Lance Parrish played. I will say this. When he hits 25 home runs this year, he'll be like, oh, yeah, you'll forget. One of those was a 0-8 Chris Paul scoring 40 points in a game his team loses by 50s. But listen, White Sox, all your terrible players are now on the Angels. Tim Anderson's hitting fifth.

For no reason. No reason. What is going on? I was wondering about that. When I saw him in the lineup yesterday, I'm like, what the hell? Kyron Paris hit 400 in spring training. He hit 535 against dudes who made major league rosters. So it's not like it was an inflated 400 in spring. He was better against opening day players.

And yet Ron Washington is like, yeah, I'm sorry, Kyron Paris. We're going to put you into the eighth inning when the game's over. And then you're going to strike out because you haven't been given a full run up. And now fans will be like, see, he sucks.

I am so mad at Ron Washington right now. But congratulations to the White Sox. You might not be the worst. Okay, number two. Did Seth Rollins know it was going to hit him on GMFB? And I will say this, that I know that him and Kyle Brandt had a little promo battle in the earlier part of the show. And I'm sitting there knowing that I'm getting like maybe a minute.

And I'm like, I got one, I got a wig on. I do. I go out there and I don't mind saying this. I hit the promo of a lifetime and I just cry. And Seth Rollins to his credit. And everybody asks like, he did not get upset that I mentioned Tyler black. He could not have been cooler. What a nice person. Like very much, um,

Very much was appreciative, was super cool. I marked out. It's kind of like whenever you meet somebody and you're like, oh, my God, I'm going to go up to Jim McMahon and make a fool of myself. I did that. The Seth Rollins thing will be worse. But number one, let's talk about the Giants, the New York Giants, because the Giants might have screwed us.

By signing Russell Wilson, doing all these crazy things, I think they're going to end up taking Jenty at number three. I know that we're all worried about Jenty going to the Raiders at number six. I think he's going three because the Giants are also concerned. Like they know they let go of Saquon Barkley. How do you get the fans back?

You draft Ashton. I know it's going to happen. I don't want us to move up to number three. I know that we've been trade partners with the Giants before. That was the pick that we made when we moved up for Justin Fields. Resist the temptation. Let the Giants enjoy Ashton Jette. And I also think Ty Warren, are the Jags in front of us? The Jags are eight, yeah? Or nine? I think they're nine.

They're right in front of us. They're going to get the Jags end up with Tyler Warren too. I'm putting together my mock draft right now, but I think it's Ashton. JT goes to the giants. We're screwed. So enjoy your sample. Everybody. The Jags are fifth Jaguars. Yeah. Raider six, jet seven, Panthers, eight saints, nine.

Speaker 0 : I will. I do have to say that the giants drafting Ashton Gentry would definitely be the most hilarious pick possible after letting Saquon Barkley go

Not matching that, despite the owner saying on hard knocks not to not to let him go. They let him go. He goes as an amazing season, wins the Super Bowl, and then they come back the following year and they use the third overall pick to replace the guy that they drafted number two overall. That's that's just objectively hilarious. I like that. But it is going to happen.

Yeah, I like it. So there's, there's the, there's the ranking for Adam rank this week. It's going to be something different every week. Well, I'll say this much. And I know I always find a way to pivot to talking about Purdue, especially this time of year. Oh my God. Listen, but listen, when you talk about peanut Tillman going to the hall of fame, did you guys see the clip?

Purdue football is using a peanut punch drill where they take like this giant circle. I don't even pad. Like, I don't even know how to, it looks like a Stonehenge. You know, like the giant donut. Thank you. And they, they, they put the

football in the middle circle and it's kind of like i don't know you know strapped in there and then they roll the donut and then the players have to pursue on it and then punch it out and they called it they called it the peanut punch drill look at this the peanut punch drill

Look at this thing. This is awesome. And it would be cool if peanut went there, you know, since they're showing love like that and show them how it's done. But that just shows you the impact that Charles Tillman has had on this game. Every time you hear a broadcast, somebody knocks the ball. It's the peanut punch. Now you've got college teams playing.

having peanut punch drills. Thank you, Steven, for pulling that up to give a visual to that. That was really cool. So shout out to Purdue game recognizes game. So shout out to Purdue football. And I'm sort of upset with you, Greg. If you don't think that that's not what I had in mind when I was setting this up, cause that's what brought that top of mind. Yeah.

because Terrence Young, I think, reposted it and said, peanut Tillman for the Hall of Fame. And I'm like, oh, this would be a good one. Because I was actually, because I had to find the fourth one, because as I said, I had to pivot off my Bulls take, which I ended up giving anyways. I'm like, I want something else. And it was, it had, I think it was TMY. Terrence, he reposted that. I think this, if not, I'm going to give him the credit anyways. It doesn't matter. So he owes me one at Miller's. Yeah.

go up there and I'm like, Oh, I got, this'll be perfect. It's Purdue. So I'm sure Greg will be super happy. Who does Purdue have today? Is it today? Yeah. They've got Houston tonight. Yeah. As soon as this is over, I'm heading to Indianapolis.

I'll be at the St. Jack for those of you that are in Indianapolis area, the greater Indianapolis area, come to Shane St. Jack. I'll be there around 5:00 PM Eastern until about tip off with a lot of great boilers fancy and come and hang out. So yeah, I'm excited about it, but Purdue might be meeting the end of their road here tonight. Speaker 1 : You're going to shake shack.

So I wanted to tee this conversation up with a little story from last night. So got home from the White Sox beating the Angels, put the Bulls game on, thought it was super cool that Mike Trout went straight from the alley, took it, you know, at Comiskey Park over to sitting courtside at the Bulls-Lakers game. Was he mobbed by people? Would people care if he's on, like,

Mike Trout walks into the pavilions around here and people are respectful and they're like, yeah, what's up? You know, I just kind of, you, if you make eye contact with them, you give them a head nod. Nobody harangues him for autographs or anything like that. If he's on the train going to the Bulls game, how do they react? Do they even care?

I don't know. That's a good question. I thought it was interesting. Cause I was actually sitting out in right field yesterday. And so he was right in front of us the whole game. And there weren't really fans like heckling him or engaging with him at all. I was like, I was trying to like tell my 10 year old, I'm like, dude, that's Mike Trout. He's right there. This is cool. And he's like, eh, whatever. Like, well, Mike Trout deserves more respect. You don't want to heckle, uh,

Um, the Toronto hack alum. Yeah. I mean, we've had enough issues with fish here in the last couple of weeks here in Chicago, but I digress. No, I would say, I would say, um, Mike trout going to a bulls game. I'm sure like people, if,

If there was like a congregation of people recognizing him and I'm not meaning to be disrespectful here, Adam, but I think there's a very good chance if nobody really, like, I don't know how many people truly would recognize him as he's walking through, um,

Like he's just not a Chicago. He's a West coast star. And I know he's a superstar in major league baseball, and I'm sure there would be an allotment of people that would start to gravitate, you know, when the cell phone cameras, then you'd be like, who is that? But I think there's a good chance. He'd be able to walk down state street with not as many people noticing him in Chicago. Well,

Outside of Otani and Aaron Judge, what baseball player would be recognized by the common fan? Not their local media market, but by the common fan. I think it's two guys. Yeah. Otani and Judge because he's so tall. Yeah. Yeah.

Maybe Stanton because he's also a giant. That's true. Yeah, but that's... You'd be like, Sam, I think when you'd be like, that guy plays a sport. I don't know what it is. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He looks familiar. Yeah, like that guy must play a sport. He must play a professional. So is he a wrestler? I don't know. One time, when I was at the Tom Petty, Chris Stapleton concert, we were at Murphy's beforehand, and Jonathan Taves was walking down Wendlandt

Waveland heading towards the stadium and nobody knew who he was. Nobody wrecked. I recognized him. I mean, he's just casually walking by. So it wasn't like that big a deal, but it fascinated me that he was just able to walk in and they had already won a Stanley cup at that point. They hadn't won three. I think they'd only won one at the time, but yeah, to your point, you know, unless you're huge, like, you know, Aaron judge or, you know, Shaq's walking down the street, you know, of course you're going to recognize guys like that, but think, you know, some of these players when they're, you know,

normal size, they can make it through. I always look at the video of

of John Stockton in the dream team, like Jordan and all the guys, they couldn't go anywhere when they were in Barcelona. Yeah. And John Stockton just got off the bus with his family, walked into the crowd of people and nobody knew who he was. Nobody care. Let me ask you if, if you're on state street right now and well, you guys would know who this is, but would people know I, I would Ange Kopitar with that. Would people be like, Oh my God, Kopitar is right there. Mm.

No, no chance. No, no chance. I mean, I might cause I'm a hockey guy, but I actually, I even, I think I come on this show right now and I would have no idea who he is. All right. Wow. That's shocking. I would, when I was at super bowl 50, a bunch of the LA Kings were sitting behind me and I was, I was wearing a bear's hat and I was like, Oh crap.

And I had a Kings beanie that I didn't put on and I was doing it. And then Jonathan Quick stopped me when I was walking out and started. I'm like, I go, dude, I'm a Kings fan. And Dustin Brown was the one who stopped him. He's like, yeah, this guy, everybody knows this. Because I had the Chicago thing on and this was right in the height of the rivalry.

But Kovatar was the first guy I recognized. And then we've had this debate. Like, I think he's pretty famous. Like I, I guess probably not. I guess hockey's too niche. Well, let's tie this to the bears before Mike Ibsen loses his mind. We only do seven. Yeah.

Yeah, exactly. No, this is where I was going with this. The reason why we ended up going on that tangent was it's related. So it's also related to where the conversation just went. Because I believe somebody at CSGO saw Josh Giddey yesterday morning. That's true. Like on the street. Sean Anderson. Yeah, Sean Anderson saw him at like a coffee shop. So a little foreshadowing how the rest of the day, how that day went. Where I was going to set all this up was, you know,

Deep down in me, I bring this up every once in a while to Greg, Adam, I do have like some serious meatball still in my soul. It's just takes it doesn't come out as often. But when you

When the Bulls hit the... When Kobe hit the three off the deflection where the Bulls scored... See, I did it right there. I called it we for a second. Six points in like two seconds or whatever that was. I jumped out of my seat and the kids had already gone to bed and I knew my son wasn't asleep yet too. So I was trying to be quiet and I couldn't help myself. Yelled. And then...

But that was like, I don't know, like a six out of 10 on the Yale scale still. And then when Giddy hits the half court shot to win the game, I mean, I cannot remember the last time that I freaked out like that in my basement. I think I was actually hanging.

We have like the steel, we don't, we have an open ceiling in the basement. So the steel beams, I literally like jumped up and grabbed onto it. And I think it was hanging from it while I was yelling. And my son comes running down the stairs. Cause he thought something was wrong. My wife's like, what the hell just happened? But it got me thinking, and this is where I want to go with this conversation because then I like sort of settled down and I was like, I honestly don't know the last time that I saw a,

A Bulls game, maybe even an NBA game in general, that was that wild over the last like 11 seconds of the game where the Bulls hit three threes that they've lost the lead after getting it back. Then they hit a half court shot.

Like that euphoria, I feel like I had, we've had a rough go of it here in Chicago for a long time now. It's been a while since we've had a day like yesterday is where I'm going with this. Sox won, Cubs won, Bulls have an insane win over the Lakers on a half-court buzzer meter. And I'm trying to think, like, when's the last time the Bears...

had a moment like that. Like, again, I want the chat's input on this too. Just sort of off-the-cuff conversation here. Because do you have to go all the way back to the game in Arizona? The Monday-nighter? Wait. Would you not count this season? Like week 18?

I mean, like an insanity, like ending a streak, Caleb getting that first win. And, um, you know, I was even thinking about this too, like of all the great things that happened, by the way, it is, it is, uh, God, what a, what a terrible, as much as I'm happy for like Chicago people, I'm like, I'm really hurting today. This is, this has been a tough go for me. Um, but it's, uh, I think not week 18, not withstanding, um,

Yeah, I would say the Arizona game was kind of like that, where it was in the sense of like it actually meant something. I mean, like, I don't want to diminish what Caleb did in Week 18 because I think it's important for him to establish a tradition of not losing in Lambeau, of winning that game,

No, I got to go back. Outside of week 18, I think that's the Arizona game would be that for me. Some people just know they could save hundreds on car insurance by checking Allstate first. Like you know to check that you pack the grill first.

I think it's a good pool, honestly, because, you know, like last night on our CSU Bulls postgame show, they were having a little back and forth with Will Purdue, you know, you know, three time, four time NBA champion, three time with with Jordan. And they were talking about like, oh, this is going to this could potentially hurt draft stock.

you're winning, but bulls fans were all like, who cares? We just beat LeBron and the Lakers on a half court buzzer beater. We hate LeBron here in Chicago and we hate the Packers. Right? So I think that's actually a really great pool. You get to the end of the season.

Yeah. It might hurt some of your draft stock, but who cares? Let Caleb Williams and the bears have a party on our hated rivals right in their face. It was in Lambeau too. So stick it right to them and all their fans. This one obviously had a crazier reaction, you know, with, you know, the home crowd at the UC. So I think that's a great pool. Another one I think I could point to for the bears is,

you know, it wasn't really like a moment, you know, like a singular touchdown. You're like Josh Giddey's half court heave, you know, or the game winning field goal by Cairo. But when Jay Cutler and the bears beat the Packers on Thanksgiving night, like that was a,

big moment like when the Bears were in a dark spot at that time and for them to go into Lambeau and take down the Packers and ruin their party like we still talk about this game as Bears fans like almost every year it gets brought up it's my daughter's first Thanksgiving like in 2015 it was my daughter's first Thanksgiving and it was a similar thing too like oh my god like this was a great moment

It was Brett Favre night too. That's what I'm saying. Brett Favre. Yeah, that was, that was the best part of it. Yeah. And I think now retroactively, all the people of Mississippi can help celebrate that. And in hindsight, look back at that with fondness. I do think there's some parallels to the week 18 game. I think like, especially when you talk about like, does it actually hurt you that you won? Cause I know that there were some of those conversations about the draft and I was on the same side. Yeah.

Yeah, you know, for the Bears to – they lost, like, what, three spots by winning that game? I'm sorry. No, no, I agree with you. I agree with you. But I'm just saying, like, to bring you in, Adam, like, that's the same conversation they were having on our bowl show last night. And I was with you the same way I was when I was at Lambeau and I went on the postgame show. And I was like, can we stop talking about draft picks for two seconds? They just beat the Green Bay Packers.

Caleb Williams had a moment. So walk off field goal. They lost 10 in a row to this team. Like just get the win. And like, I feel like sometimes we're so conditioned into Chicago to losing that. All we do is talk about draft picks. It's like, can you just enjoy a moment for one time? Soak it in. Even if you're not going to the playoffs, even if you know, you're not going to win a championship. Like that's how I felt that the socks came yesterday. Like,

That was probably our entire season. Adam, you can have these next two games because that was probably our entire season. The one day where the stadium sold out, just enjoy it. It was cool. Soak it in. And that's, that's where I'm at on that. You know, I also got to, why the F?

did Ron Washington bring Ryan Johnson back out for a second inning? Like, it makes no sense. You have to be trying to lose. Like, Ryan had gone through, and this is the great thing about, like, you guys talk about. I didn't realize you were this big of an Angels fan. Oh, man. Yeah, he's a huge Angel. Listen, like, you guys, so imagine how you feel when the Bears, I'm going to, I know people are going to hate, but I'm going to say this.

How you feel when the Bears lose, that's how I feel about the Angels. And I feel that 100 times a year.

my son hates it my daughter's getting better about it but my son just like gets really depressed and I'm like why like this is the worst thing I could have done to you like I should have never let you like baseball or just let him like the Dodgers like whatever just you can be happy like he was actually over at our neighbor's house yesterday watching the Dodgers game and I was upset for a moment and then I was like maybe you should just root for the Dodgers like I don't know like

Oh, man, it's a tough call when you live down here. But, yeah, I don't like the draft pick thing. I think for the Bears, because now that we have Caleb, what does it matter? Listen, I would rather lose out on a pick than lose to the Packers in Week 18 or to have Cairo miss that field goal or to do anything like that. Virginia's last game. It was their birthday. Yeah.

It was her birthday. Yeah, it was her birthday. We get to see Jordan Love walk off the field with that stupid look on his face whenever his team loses. It's such a satisfying look. I think you have to balance the scales as a fan. And in that moment, like...

I, if they had lost a very ugly way, I probably, there probably would have been a worse taste in my mouth if they had won like, Hey, I, I, I want to beat the Packers, but I also want to beat them in a way that I feel good about it. So like when it got down to the final drive, Caleb Williams had a chance to drive them down the field.

Like that's something meaningful that they can take into the offseason of all the different failures throughout the season where, you know, Caleb put them in position in certain points and then other guys on the team let him down. I mean, Caleb certainly had his fair share of moments where he wasn't perfect, but there were moments within the season that Caleb deserved to have the win, including Green Bay at home where he drives him down and the block, the kick gets blocked.

So for, it was kind of, you know, poetic for them to finish that way. And it was relief as someone said in the chat, you know, to end the 10 game losing streak, go into the off season with some good vibes. You get a win, you beat the Packers. Now we can go into next year with a fresh start and a new coach. So I'm willing to sacrifice the three spots in the draft for that vibe, because that is important for the team.

But like we can't, it's not like we beat the Colts in a game that probably didn't matter or something like that with a flipping Packers in Lambeau.

Well, real quick, Greg, I just want to circle back. So I, can we put up Scottish bears comment from a couple? It was like a minute ago, but cause I agree with him on this one. I just, I think so. Scottish bear said breaking the streak at Lambeau was more relief. The game in Arizona was like, what the F have we just done? That was ecstasy. That's how I felt last night with the bulls win. It was like, to me, I was just a different level of craziness. And here's what I actually think the compass is.

I think like the equivalent of what the bulls did last night against the Lakers was what the commanders fans felt like on the hail Mary, the exact opposite of what bears fans felt like in that game, which was just like, how in the world did that just happen? How did we walk away with this win today? Uh,

I don't think it was quite to that level with the Bears Packers game. I think it was just more of like a relief game to me. But that's what I think that what the actual equivalent of it. So Bears fans were Bulls fans. You at least got your, you know, redemption for the Hail Mary. That's at least what I'm going to call it. I see. I see the point of that. I see what you guys are getting at. I think it's a little bit more than relief. I think it was finally.

I don't know. It's like, I don't know if you've ever seen the movie Diggstown, but it's a great movie, regardless of who the actors are in it. It's a great movie. And like, one of the things of it is like this con man or this, I don't even want to go into it, but it's like where the payoff is kind of underwhelming for the bad deeds that have been done. So it's like,

I get that there's a sense of like, ah, it's a little underwhelming because we weren't going to the playoffs. The Packers were still going to playoffs and all that stuff. But at the same time, still really cool to beat the Packers in Green Bay. And I never want to apologize for it. And by the way, if I can say something else, I know I have some friendly voices here because I know how much everybody in Chicago hates LeBron. Here's the weirdest thing with Laker fans is that they were talking about a Lakers Mount Rushmore.

For somebody outside of LA, when you think of the Lakers, who are the top four Lakers of all time?

Shaq, Kobe, Wilt, and Jerry West. Okay, you're too young. But, okay, you did hit Jerry West. Oh, wait, Magic. I missed Magic. I'm sorry. That's stupid of me. It's okay. It should be Magic, Kareem, Kobe, and Jerry West. And people are upset. Some guy was like, oh, you're an idiot if you have LeBron over Jerry West. And I'm like, this is why Laker fans look stupid around the world. Like, just don't say things like this. And I...

Well, Jerry's the logo, you know, that's pretty. Exactly. Jerry West, like, and Jerry West was an executive for a long time who built those championship teams who went out there. I just can't, I just want you guys to be prepared because in about a decade,

We're going to start having the, is Luca better than Jordan talk? That's not an easy Mount Rushmore though. Like somebody just put that curry curry. They left out cream or they left out Shaq and Kobe off their, their top four. Like that's impossible to me. That's it. But pipeline day has it. Kobe, Kareem magic and West. Yeah. Kobe's got to be on there. I wouldn't put Shaq on there, but that's crazy to me. Shaq went to Miami. Kobe never left.

Kobe didn't have his wizards era. Well, just checked in starting LA either. So yeah, it's, it's a little bit different. All right, Adam, we know we got to let you go. Appreciate you coming on. It's a fun conversation. I'm the one running my mouth and I know, and I, I apologize to everybody. Uh,

for bringing in non-Bears stuff. But listen, you got enough. Listen, it's three weeks, four weeks to the draft. We're fine. We can have a little bit of fun. Talk about the Bulls. Talk about the White Sox, even though the expensive B.

The Lakers are always the one, like when you grew up, when you grew up in angels fan, all the angels had some great years, but we were always like, ah, at least the Lakers old buoy us. So I even, we even talked about that last night on a group chat. Oh, he's got the Lakers and I'm like, nah, I don't even, I don't even like this. And then things turned out the way they did. Well, before you go Scottish bear, if I may, Steven, pull this up. Scottish bear said the surname ranking rank was first found in Ashire. Uh,

I can't pronounce that Gaelic word. Formerly a county in the southwestern Strathclyde region of Scotland. Yeah, we're Scottish and Irish. Okay, I'm mistaken, Scottish Bear. He's correct. Well, Hoag is Scottish, too. Yeah. And I'm Braggs, which originated as Brog from Ireland, I should say. There it is. Or it might be. He's right.

I'm wrong. Listen, I'm just sitting, I just found my birth certificate again, where I was, I was surprisingly from hop, like a scandal of the family. And there's nobody around anymore to talk about this. Like told my whole life, like, Oh, you were, we were in Schaumburg. You're like, okay. My birth certificate says Hoffman estates. And I'm like, what the, what? I've been a liar this whole time. And I feel terrible. You were born. Yeah. Yeah. Uh,

Anyways, I got to go. Yeah, you do. You got a meeting to go to get out of here. See ya. Have a great weekend guys. We'll see you next month. Yep. Up in the Travis Matthew too. You did the wrong. You got rid of the wrong person. We did it. I don't have a meeting. I got Indianapolis to go to. So I actually do have things to get to. I will say Adam, that the one thing I think I could, that I think was probably the biggest moment.

Like Derrick Rose hitting the bank shot buzzer beater over Cleveland in the playoffs. That was awesome. That was unbelievable. I went absolutely ballistic kind of in the way you're describing, you know, Josh Giddy's half court. And that one meant a lot to a lot of Bulls fans after everything Derrick had been through. And it felt like maybe they could win that series. The only other one I can point to since it's March madness to keep to that theme is that when the fighting Illini is,

in the elite eight over Arizona down 15 with four minutes to go, go on a 20 to five run. And you know, Daron Williams hitting some unbelievable shots. Like that was an insane moment in Illinois sports history that has somewhat of a connection here to Chicago. That's my favorite college basketball game ever.

It was unbelievable. It was awesome. It was here because it was actually at Allstate Arena, which is crazy to think about in hindsight. They used to have regionals at Allstate Arena, and now they're in football stadiums. And the anniversary of that was actually, I believe, two days ago. I think that was March 26th. So the 20th anniversary of that would have been...

Two days ago. So that's a good poll. All right. Hey, make sure you become a diehard. CHGO is the place to go. AllCHGO.com slash diehard. It's where you get all of our awesome stuff.

including our draft guide and the bears 100 available to everybody on a Monday. I'm going to be spending my weekend working on that. So go check it out on Monday. So really looking forward to that event as we do every year and really looking forward to seeing what the bears do in the draft. So join us.

All right. We're going to close out the week strong here and quickly get through snid bits, super chats and shout outs. I know you have one on something that front, but by the way, shout out to Tyler Dunn keeps putting out some great work at go along. I was on his podcast last week. Go check out that website. It's it's a sub stack. It's it's it's,

long form stuff, but it's also where you get those Bob McGinn draft insight columns on every position group that I was telling you about. But I, you're going to tell me out on this one, Greg, because I did not see this until you threw it in here right before the show. But I know, I know that I think Tyler talked to Will Hewitt who had some insight on Caleb Williams.

Yeah. Will. Yeah. Everybody kind of knows. Will he let right. What is he with at not athletes first? Help me out. The QB, the QB school or not the QB school. Come on, help me out. Where do they go train? Where do they go train every year? All the different quarterbacks, the quarterback collective. Yes. He's just like a quarterback. No, but that's not, I don't even think that's the right one anyway.

Doesn't matter. He knows lots about quarterbacks. Yes, sir. Well, I do have a graphic to pull up here and he basically will hear you. Let's talking about, you know, Kayla Williams going into his second year. So shout out to bears Reddit for the pool on this. I was reading this this morning and definitely found it to be interesting to

And, you know, he's basically talking about like the thought process that Caleb had to go through last year and maybe some of the mistakes they made along the way. And so I'll read it. It's kind of lengthy, but bear with me here where, you know, we'll heal and saying like, when do I use my mag magic? He knew from the get go. Our initial conversations were I want to play with structure from the pocket. And in some capacity, maybe there was an overcorrection.

there where it's like, Hey, you're still an elite athlete, run the ball. And I think you started to see his game evolve the right direction when he started using his legs more. So then it's just going to be about being able to ID and understand being a rookie sometimes is essentially learning the information and taking the test at

the same time with one year under his belt, another off season, there's going to be a whole heck of a lot more studying and learning and taking the approach of we're starting as if we don't know anything. It's understanding the game on a deeper level and then continue to get better. Whether there was misses or throwing errors, understanding what was created mechanically, where can we be more efficient in those areas? Where can we get better with

with timing, footwork, and lower body, and then building the internal clock up, part of that's just understanding the play dynamic, the timeline of a play. Those areas you're going to see noticeable improvement. The kids still threw for 3,500 yards and broke the no interceptions record for rookies.

He was creeping on the all-time record, I think, in some capacity. The stability this offseason, regardless, I think is going to be amazing. And then you add in the X factor of the coaching staff that they brought in. It can be pretty darn exciting. So there's a lot there, Adam, but I thought it was really interesting to hear that from Will Hewlett, who works directly with Caleb Williams. And you just see the amount of things that a quarterback really has to hone in on to perfect his craft

And just how important that connection, not just with Will Hewlett, but with Ben Johnson, that's going to be for Caleb.

Yeah. Good stuff there. And again, go check it out at go long. I'll give you a snippet on my side. I don't know if you, you know, shout out to the NFL Twitter world because it started, I saw this the other day. We had fun the other day with Will Campbell and how his arms grew. Right. But some people pointed out, and I think this is actually a real thing now that he will. Campbell's not the only one. There have been some significant differences between,

in some of these measurements coming out of pro days versus what was measured at the combine Alex Barth from Boston, I think was the first place I saw this the other day, but when Duke many weather, who's, you know, one of the best offensive line minds out there that you're, that you're going to find starts commenting on this. This was two hours ago on Twitter. He said other scouts and teams said that the scout that did the measuring at the combine did it wrong.

and was unwilling to admit he was wrong. It happens often. I've seen the same with timing and measurements at pro days. I think it's more common at pro days, though, but to have it come out right now that combine...

the combine measurements were off. That's a big deal. So I think it's almost like with those standard, those mental testing things that players stopped doing because it was starting to come out and it was like, and there was like errors in the process of how they graded them and how much that hurt certain people's draft stock. Players are going to stop doing the measuring to there if they can't trust the person doing it because it directly affects how much money they make.

Yeah. Let's get super chats here before we close out the show. We got one from Chav 199, O'Marion Hampton or Mike Green season.

And then I think very least. I would love Mike Green as a player, but I think it's going to be a tough judge and the team is going to have to do extensive research on everything he has going on behind the scenes and what he addressed at the combine from, but from a player standpoint and you saw how his pro day went. Yeah. He'd be a great player to have on this defensive line. I just don't know if everything's going to clear out behind the scenes for the bears. We'll see.

And then barely some, Oh, with two pounds sterling Shirley Bragg's originates from meatball Ireland. Yes, of course. Everybody knows that famously that's where I'm from. So spot, you know, Ireland, I want to give a shout out quickly to all the awesome socks fans. I saw, I sat out in the, uh,

Miller light landing area, which I'd never sat yesterday. Um, sorry guy, Herb Lawrence too. Cause that's adjacent to the one Oh eight. So all the great socks fans with the one Oh eight, we're all in that section right next to it, to where I was. Um, and so I saw Herb saw a bunch of socks fans. Um, a lot of people just, you know, being very kind saying hello. Um, and so it was just a lot of fun. It was a long time. First of all, I, I,

it's sad. I honestly don't know the last time I went to a Sox game that they won. I think it's been like at least three years. It's been rough. And then also the way games you're going to right now, it's mostly empty or I'm going in Minnesota when I'm up there in the summer and there's not a lot of Sox fans around. So yesterday was the first time in a long time that we as Sox fans got to experience Greg, which you guys get to experience every Friday at the one 20 club where it's like,

a get together of all your friends around you, even if you don't really know them that well. Right. So it was cool. It was awesome. And I don't know that we're going to get to experience that the rest of the season. So it was, I'm glad it went to opening day because last year's opening experience was not really fun, which I remember talking about on the show last year. So shout out to the White Sox, shout out to all the fans out there. And yeah,

I'm having a hell of a week. I'm going to the Hawks game tonight with my wife. So if you're at the United Center tonight, maybe we can recreate some more magic at the UC and don't be afraid to say hello if you run into me. Man, call him hoagie ball game. Just go into all the games. You were just at the Hawks game the other day. Now you're going to the Sox game. Now you're going back to the Hawks game. And I might be at the Bulls game tomorrow night if Carm comes through. Right. You missed the one to be at, but...

I thought about doing the double header yesterday too, but I don't know. I'm a little surprised you didn't honestly. The ticket prices were insane. If you want to sit on the 100 level, it was like $800 a ticket. Oh man. Yeah. It was, it was wild. Um,

I'm happy for everybody. I'm happy for bulls fans. I'm even happy for socks fans that had their day yesterday. Cubs fans had to wait later in the night for their win, but they got a big one. Um, you know, so I'm happy for the CHL Cubs crew. They got over a thousand subscribers that are new channel and basically 24 hours. So often away they go, um,

So make sure you subscribe to that channel, show them some support show. That's showing us support when you show them support. So we appreciate it. So great day all around for Chicago sports and hell Texas tech went to overtime, you know, over Arkansas. That was a great March madness game. John Calipari, you know, gets upended there. So hopefully Purdue can create some magic tonight. And that is where my shout out is going. Of course, it's going to go to the Purdue Boilermakers tonight.

Shout out to my guys over at Boilers in the Stands. That's right. Shameless plug. We're going to be there tonight in Indianapolis. But let me show you the we're missing Mark Carmen, right? He's always going to do the Mark Carmen thing. But I'm going to pull a little Mark Carmen here for you here for my shout out because I'm going to shout out a guy named Ralph Curley Jones. Have you ever heard this name before?

No, you have not. Of course you haven't. Born and raised in Marion County, Indiana. Born September 22nd, 1880. 1880, you know, and started, of course, everybody knows about Curly Jones, you know, starting his formative years, you know, at Indianapolis Shortridge High School in 1899. Made his way to Purdue University, you

And in 1910 was their coach there beginning a three year tenure that resulted in a 32 and nine record. And the first two big nine championships in program history in 1911 and 1912, when Mark was just starting his coverage here, you know, in the area in the greater Midwest area, but then he goes on to end up coaching the Chicago Rams.

bears after coaching the Purdue Boilermakers in basketball. After George Hallis retired as a player coach in 1930, he hires Curly Jones to take over his team as head coach. And even though Jones led the team to a 24, 10 and seven record due to the economic depression, which was affecting everyone.

You know, he was, you know, their coach, they're giving people jobs and, and the team won an NFL championship in 1932 and he paved the way there. So a Purdue Boilermakers basketball coach winning some big time titles and then finding his way to coaching the Chicago bears after George Hallis. How about it? Adam Hogue.

I knew I knew that the name sounded familiar, but I was, I was sounding like the name Shane Gillis uses in one of his standup routines. Crazy. Yeah. Shout out to Cobra stats. If anybody follows Cobra stats, that's a college basketball fan. He does great research work. He joined our boilers in the stand show the other night and drop this bomb on me that there's a connection there. That was really interesting. I know it took a minute, but that was a, that's a story we're telling.

I'm hoping for good things for you tonight, Greg. I'm going to end this show because otherwise you're going to talk about Purdue between now and when the game tips off, which I believe tip-offs at 11.45 p.m. tonight, right? Something like that? Yeah, 10.10 Eastern. So 9.10 Eastern. It's going to be crazy. I'll be home from the Hawks game in time to watch the end of the game.

Probably. Realistically. All right. We're out of here. It's been a fun week. Hey, Monday, the Bears 100 comes out. So diehards, you'll be on the lookout for that. And also I will be at the owner's meeting. So there is some good content coming your way.

uh, early in the week. Well, George McCaskey, Kevin Warren, Ryan poles, Ben Johnson, things are going to be happy next week. I will be in Florida, um, for all of that. And hopefully we'll have some surprises and some cool stuff for you along the way as well. So be on the lookout for that next week. Um, appreciate all the love and support hit subscribe, go over to the Cubs channel, CSO clubs, hit subscribe. If you haven't already and look out for the bears 100 on a Monday, hope everybody has a great weekend. Talk to you on Monday.
