You're listening to the Professional Goddess Podcast, a place for sluts who like to make money. I'm your host, Anna D, aka The Professional Goddess. On my show, we embrace the uncensored stories of being a self-made sludgepreneur. As a stripper turned CEO, I reveal all my juicy trade secrets and share interviews with other female bosses who capitalize on their entire existence.

from breaking stigmas in the female business world to challenging norms in the adult industry. We'll tackle it all in six inch stilettos, of course. Now it's time to dive deep into the journey of self-empowerment, owning our sexuality. And by each episode, we will earn our PhDs in CE poetry. I'm honored to have you here and it's my privilege to kickstart the show.

Good morning, guys. I just woke up. It's Thursday, October 10th. I'm going to record this episode the morning of posting it. That's what's been happening recently. Some days it's Thursday, it's podcast day, and don't even have an episode ready until the morning of, but I think

You entrepreneurs listening know that when our plate is full, sometimes it overflows, and that's just kind of the vibe today. I woke up and I was like, what am I going to fucking talk about on the show? And Hurricane Milton just smashed Florida last night, and the recovery process is undergoing right now. If you follow me on Instagram, you know I've been so adamant about sharing resources for the devastation of Hurricane Helene.

that hit the Appalachia mountains and much of North Western North Carolina. So that's where my heart has been. It's been very tone deaf to me to post anything other than recovery resources because so many friends and family are still missing and it just doesn't sit right with me right now to talk about anything else. Um, it's just not where my heart is. So, um,

I've learned a lot about myself in this past week and perhaps a deeper call to serve than I thought I've ever had. So that was very interesting to digest and understanding that not everyone has the same heart as me. I feel like this is a consistent lesson I'm being taught is that people won't love the way I love. And sometimes

Sometimes that comes as a disappointment when I really need to not necessarily lower the bar, but have more clear expectations for what I want to receive from people. But even influencers I follow in North Carolina, just being completely silent about it blows me lit off. I'm just like, y'all, these are your neighbors. I mean, any influencer far and wide could be

a resource to help these people. It's just really sad. And just to, I'll make it very clear,

These people in the mountains were not prepared for this type of flood. There was no... Like in Florida, for example, you know, there was two weeks of preparation and mandatory evacuations. But in the mountains, the evacuation notice came too late when there was no cell service. So people were getting these evacuation notices once they were stranded without food, water, and power and are still without food, water, and power. So...

As always, my heart goes out to them. And

This morning, as I was sitting with myself, I thought, how can I use this situation to help people? And I wanted to dive into a topic that's a little more on the what if side of things. And I know it sounds like I'm a tin hat over here, but I wanted to create a beginner's doomsday plan for sluts. So whether you're preparing for a natural disaster like we've had, or just simple power outages, I think...

Being prepared doesn't have to mean paranoia. It's about providing peace of mind. So having a little bug out bag, which I've always had. You know, I always have had a fear like what if the house catches on fire? I want to be able to have my documents in one place, my ID, maybe some savings, my photo albums, or my hard drives.

I think we got some squirrels outside today. Sasha's playing security downstairs. Um, so if you're new to this, don't worry, I'm going to break it down for you. This is like such a simple beginners, uh, way to look at it and just you to, for you to think like, what do you have already to be prepared? Because what if something is going to happen tomorrow and you don't have time to go to the store? Um, and if the wifi goes out, I mean, that's happened to me on the road. Um,

And when I'm trying to run a business, I need to be, let me shut this door. Hold on.

Anyways, it's just good to be vigilant and understand these what-ifs, especially if you have family and pets and stuff. So in today's world, it's not about expecting the worst, but rather just being ready for the unexpected. And we've all seen how fast things can change, whether you experience wildfires or hurricanes or even supply chain disruptions. If you guys were aware of the strike...

at the ports that happened that disrupted shipments, if the postal service goes down, all these things. Being prepared can make all the difference. And with Hurricane Helene happening, you know, I am on the eastern side of North Carolina, but

you know, thank God for all these just regular people donating and helping these civilians. But our stores were wiped out of toilet paper and some necessities because they were all being sent and donated to the Western part of North Carolina. So that wasn't something that we anticipated. Um, but you know, a bitch buys her toilet paper in bulk. So I was good. A

So let's start with the basics. Step one, assess your... I can't even talk. Assess. The word assess has so much ass in it, I can't even say it. Assess your situation, bitch. The first step is to assess what types of emergencies you're most likely to face. So do you live in an area prone to hurricanes or earthquakes? How about extreme cold or heat?

Understanding your local risks will help you prioritize your doomsday plan. So make a list of the potential possible disasters that could happen in your area and rank them by likelihood. And once you've done that, you can tailor your preparedness around those scenarios.

So step two is the go bag. Some of us call it the bug out bag. And your go bag, your emergency kit, these should all be portable and ready to grab in case you need to leave your home quickly. So I have... Mine is like...

It looks like a rolling luggage bag, but it's also a backpack. It's kind of like what someone would wear if they were hiking a mountain. It's really long, but you can also roll it and pull it or put it on your back. So I like that aspect of it. I think I found it at Goodwill. It's waterproof and everything.

And I have it on the top shelf of my pantry, just like right next to, um, the exit door. So again, I don't want anything upstairs. I don't want to have to run upstairs if the house is on fire, but it's right where it needs to be.

Everyone knows where it is. And just so you guys know, I'm going to link. I have a doomsday Amazon wishlist. There was a girl I followed on TikTok that had one of these and I kind of replicated it to my liking. So I will also link this list. I think it's good to kind of have...

um, something stored. So whenever I get sent like Amazon gift cards or something, sometimes I kind of knock off a few things off this list as necessary. So what I'm going to talk about today or at first are just the basics. Remember this is basic bitch doomsday kit, but the list I have on Amazon is a little bit more like if society falls, um,

So here's what you need. We need non-perishable food for three days. I mean, I would say more, but this is beginner three days water and at least a gallon per person per day.

First aid supplies, flashlight and extra batteries, emergency blankets, personal hygiene items, toothbrush, hand sanitizer, baby wipes. Because if you can't take a shower, all those baby wipes come in handy. And copies of important documents like ID, insurance and medical information, maybe a passport. So there's different ways to do this. Even going to the dollar store,

you can find a lot of this stuff. It may not be like the best batteries or the best first aid kit. There are these like emergency blankets that are like sheets. They almost feel like tinfoil and they trap in heat and they're foldable and small. Like they make stuff for emergencies to be really lightweight. But you don't want to forget the extras like cash, medications, like

even entertainment you'd be surprised just having a book could come in handy and keeping your mind calm is crucial always hey professional goddesses you know what makes me feel like a magician the ability to run my online store so seamlessly seriously it's like magic thanks to shopify

powerful tools and apps helped me streamline operations and work smarter, not harder, so I could focus on growing my business. And that's exactly what happened. We reached new heights I never imagined. Shopify.com slash slutchpreneur.

What's something that works so well that's basically magic? Selling with Shopify. Now back to the show. So I'm going to take a little peep of the list I have on Amazon.

Because it's pretty cool. Once you get into this stuff, it's pretty fascinating how this stuff comes in handy. So check out the website. It's called TWC.health. It's the wellness company. They have a medical emergency kit. Now, it is $300. I think when you go to the site, there's a 10% off pop-up. But this is a peace of mind medical kit. It is...

prescription only life-saving medications. There's like generic Z-packs in here, amoxicillin, ivermectin, all this comes on hand and every kit includes a guidebook and you have to do a questionnaire before you order this with your allergies, things like that. But once you do the questionnaire, you'll receive eight prescription only medications, five broad spectrum oral antibiotics, and

and an emergency guidebook. So I feel like if something were to happen, I can't remember that movie that came out on Netflix and people were like going crazy over, you know, someone needed medicine, but this has a generic, um,

you know, a wide range of antibiotics and medications that might be needed that could be life-saving. So I really feel confident having this in my bug out bag because if, you know, you can't just get an antibiotic when you walk into CVS, you know, so, um, let's go to their about us page. Let's see.

So this kit treats over 30 medical conditions, all sorts of things like parasite infections, vaginal yeast infections, UTIs, traveler's diarrhea, strep throat, STIs, nausea, vomiting, pneumonia, all sorts of stuff. So I thought that was an exceptional find. It is on the pricier side. Let's go back to this Amazon wishlist kit. So

like portable outdoor toilets. Like these are things that might be a little more outdoorsy. If for some reason you have to leave the house, um, we have a emergency drinking water container. We have, what is this? Door locks.

Oh, this is a big one. A solar charging power bank. These are very affordable. Very affordable. This one comes with a compass, but...

Literally, it's just the size of a phone and it charges with sunlight, the battery, and then you can use it to charge your phone. So I feel like a lot of people who don't have generators or anything like that, having some solar charging power banks is really smart to have. Fire extinguisher. Here we have a little box of stormproof match kits with a waterproof case. You can start some fire.

what else do we have? We have adult wet wipes, headlamps, just some paracord. Like you never know if you need like duct tape or rope, um,

Some lanterns, batteries, and then some other things like tabletop grilling or stoves. If, you know, the power goes out and you need like an emergency camp stove. We have caffeine pills. I mean, think about it. If you're in a situation where you don't have coffee, like you might need some caffeine. Survival sewing kit.

soap sheets, collapsible water bottles. I mean, I even have an inflatable boat on here because seeing all of the wreckage of Western North Carolina, I was like, what happens if the water gets so high we're on the roof? Like it would be pretty interesting to have to be blowing up the inflatable boat. So that was just a little rough draft of what's on my list there. I will put that in the episode description. But step three is to secure the home.

If leaving isn't an option, you'll want to make sure your home is safe and a sustainable place to stay. So stockpile your food and water for at least two weeks. Canned foods, freeze-dried foods, and water storage systems are key. When you are getting your canned foods at the store, make sure they don't have any dents in them. That can kind of tarnish the quality of the food and how long the expiry date is.

Home defense is another aspect. I won't push or sway you based on your political views of what your home defense might look like. I'm not saying you need to turn your house into a fortress, but having basic tools like a fire extinguisher, a crowbar, even a radio to stay connected to emergency services could be life-saving. Consider generators or solar-powered options in case you lose electricity.

You can buy tea lights in bulk. I even saw someone on TikTok during this disaster. They were putting tea lights in a tin muffin pan and then cooking their soup. They put the pot on top of the pan with the candle lights underneath and like where the muffins go. And they were kind of showing how to use that. But candles at the dollar store and...

I don't always like those candles because some of them have toxic ingredients, but it is what it is. When it's doomsday, you don't really get to choose if you have essential oil candles or not. But if you have pets, please don't forget about them. I always make sure I have like three to five bags of dog food. If we use one, it's time to get another one because...

When people, when these things happen, you know, dog food is going to be another one of the first to go. And especially if your pet has allergies and you don't want to have to change to a different food so abruptly and their medications, um,

Step four is a communication plan. One of the most overlooked aspects of a beginner's doomed to stay plan is how to stay in touch with family and friends. If your cell phone's not working, if Facebook and social media isn't working, how are you going to talk to these people? Cell towers might go down,

So you'll might, you know, what an alternative. So two way radios are a great option for short distances, might be a little tougher if it's long distance, but having a designated meeting spot, if communication is lost, making sure everyone knows where it is, making sure everyone has a map. Okay, I'm actually going to put a map on this list, because

Having a driving map if your GPS goes down is so, so important. That way everyone can get to the destination spot. So this is a bestseller. It's the Road Atlas. They make one every year to go with the new roads. So I'm going to add this one to the list. Done.

Always just have that in the car. So it's a good idea to have a list of important contacts written down. I know so old school, right? Step five is learning some survival skills, but knowing how to start a fire, purify water or perform basic first aid like CPR can make a huge difference. Even if you never need these skills, they really give you confidence.

Fire starting kits and water purification tablets are essentials in your go bag and taking a basic first aid course or watching tutorials can familiarize yourself with wound care and CPR. I mean, I was watching a YouTube video the other day on how to extract a ball from a dog's throat. If your dog is playing with anything, the tennis ball size or smaller, I'm just

I'm just going to tell you all straight up. That is exactly how my grandfather's dog passed away. It caught a tennis ball in its mouth, got lodged in its throat. So if you don't know how to turn over a dog and manipulate the throat to get it out, I suggest you look that up on YouTube. It could save a life.

A little knowledge can go a long way and skills like fishing, foraging, or even gardening could be critical if you're ever in a situation where food supply chains break down. Even this year, I started growing my own herbs and it's amazing. You can just...

get, you know, the little herbs they have at the store and, you know, cut the roots and propagate them. It's so much simpler than it sounds like, but it does give me a lot of confidence knowing I never have to waste money buying an herb, a fresh herb over and over again. Cause it just, you know, it's the beauty of nature just keeps recreating itself.

Lastly, stay informed. Always stay aware of what's going on around you. Keep an emergency weather radio to receive updates and subscribe to local alerts on your phone. And you know, if you

I would say check the news regularly, but sometimes that can harm your mental health during times of crisis. But just be fucking aware. You know, being informed can help you make better decisions, especially when things are going to go south. So the earlier you know, the earlier you can act. And again, not be paranoid, but be prepared.

So I appreciate you tuning in today. I hope you found this episode helpful. Please share it with someone who might need a little push to get their little doomsday plan started. So thank you everyone for listening and please stay safe, stay informed, stay loved. I will see you next week.
