New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison was the only person to bring charges in the case of the JFK assassination. His assertions, which were the basis for Oliver stone's film JFK, are to some, the thread that would unravel the whole conspiracy. To others, he was a less-than altruistic publicity seeker who wrongly harassed and persecuted innocent people in an effort to get attention.
