冷门好歌创作者访谈以及音乐延展出的更多你正在听到的是 KeyChange 周末变奏我是方舟在这个小时的节目里边想和大家分享一些民谣音乐但是这个民谣并不是我们印象中的那种衣着朴素抱着一把木吉他唱遍世间疾苦的那种民谣音乐

恰恰相反,在不同的年代,我们听到不同的国家的音乐人用不同的语言歌唱,而他们的迷药音乐里面也融入了各种各样的音乐元素。有些歌曲会非常有意思,在这个小时里面。我们首先为你带来的这位音乐人就来自阿根廷,他的名字叫做 Juana Molina。年轻的时候曾经做过喜剧演员,后来一心想专注于音乐事业。

可能这就是为什么我们在他的音乐里面经常能听到一种不和谐的甚至是很有喜剧张力的表现我们现在听到的这首歌 Elas 来自他 2013 年的专辑 Elas 的音乐

我们听到的就是来自 Buenos Aires 的唱作人 Juana Molina 带来的 Elas

在他的音乐作品里边一直能很好地把民谣音乐的基底和一些怪奇的音乐元素比如说基数拍的节奏或者是这种电气化的噪音融入在一起而且如果你看胡安娜摩丽娜的专辑封面的话你会觉得非常的奇怪感觉这个人好像给自己打造了一个见不得人的这么一个公众形象一样非常的有趣

据说 Tom Waits 的叔叔曾经一度特别迷恋报纸上的那种不劳而获的致富金广告,疑似诈骗的那一种。他经常把广告从报纸上剪下来寄给 Tom Waits,有一次 Tom 实在受不了了,就开他叔叔的玩笑啊,说你给我寄了这么多致富金,那接下来要给我寄个什么呀,不会给我寄一个巧克力的雕像吧。

所以就有了这首歌 A Chocolate Jesus 其实也是调侃那些过分沉溺于在自己的世界里边却慢慢脱离了现实的那些人很有意思的一首歌来自一个非常幽默的歌手 Tom Waits 当然我说他浑身是戏啊他也是一个不错的演员看看他以主角或者是客串身份出演的那些电影啊真的都还蛮精彩的

好 我们下面在 key change 来听一个年轻点的声音这位音乐人叫做 Ethan Gruska 我们来听这首作品叫做 IlluminateEthan 的很多作品都是和一些正当红的独立音乐人比如说 Phoebe Bridgers 等等完成的而他的个人作品呢听起来要更静谧更极简主义一点这首歌叫做 IlluminateIs your love to me

我们听到的是香谣音乐人 Gillian Welch2011 年的专辑 The Harrow and the Harvest 中的一首歌这首歌的名字叫做 The Way It Will Be

和 Ginny Welch 共同完成这首歌曲的也是他从 90 年代就一路走来的好搭档 Dave Rawlings 本身也是一位非常出色的香谣音乐人用非常质朴的声音男生一直哄托着女生来讲述这样一个带着一点点忧伤的故事

我们听到这首歌叫做 Strictly Rule 来自 Vetiver 这首歌是他们签约到著名的独立音乐厂牌 Sub Pop 之后在 2009 年发表的一张专辑但是在这之前 Vetiver 这支乐队曾经有一个非常重要的音乐合作伙伴他也是乐队的主创 Andy Kabic 的同学和好朋友

这个人就是 Devendra Benhart 他们一起几乎是开创了这个所谓的 freak folk 的音乐浪潮这种阳光弥漫的带着民谣和迷幻音乐色彩的风格呢也让听的人会觉得进入到一种非常舒适的甚至是轻微麻醉的状态非常的舒服了

虽然说 Andy Kabic 和 Devendra Benhart 现在已经不在一个乐队里面做音乐了但是他们依然是很好的朋友而且经常联手做这种限定场次的演出你现在听到的是 Key Change 周末变奏我们下面再找一首非常经典的歌曲给大家吧这首歌的前奏一出来我们都知道了来自 Bob Dylan1966 年最经典的那张 Blonde on Blonde

这首歌叫做 I Close My Eyes 来自一位非常年轻的唱作人叫做 Madison Cunningham 这首歌发表的时候她刚刚 21 岁我们在这首歌里也听到了那个带着些许的颤音听起来有那么一点点稚嫩的嗓音和演唱但是这首歌里边所讲述的这样的一种感觉对这样的一个女子旁的她的描述

最终化成了镜子中的自己我觉得也是在年轻的创作人笔下经常会出现的这样一种视角去讨论自己对自己的认知与之形成鲜明对比的是 Madison Cunningham 这首歌之前 Bob Dylan 那首 Just Like a Woman

唱出那首歌的时候 Bob Dylan 应该是 24 岁的年纪却体现出了比自己实际年龄远远要更成熟的嗓音和看待世界看待异性的方式我觉得这种区别你可以说它跟性别有关但是更多的我觉得还是我们通过这些音乐作品看到了这位创作者的内心其实人与人之间是非常非常不一样的难道不是吗

虽然说我们觉得 Cat Power 翻唱这些和她留着共同血脉的唱作人的作品是特别顺理成章的事情但是在 2022 年的这张翻唱专辑 Covers 里边我们还听到了 Cat Power 不同的音乐趣味比如说 Lana Del Rey 和 Frank Ocean 的歌曲其实她以前还翻唱过 Rihanna 的歌我觉得这种反差有的时候正是听翻唱作品给我们带来的最有趣味的事情了

这首歌叫做 Clipping 来自一支美国的流行摇滚乐队叫做 Mute Math

我记得在 2007 年 08 年左右的时候,他们和 The Fray 和 Wolf Mother 这样的乐队经常共同出现在一些唱片公司出版的音乐合集里面。我们听这首歌的演唱部分和旋律其实是非常的悦耳,非常的高亢,很容易传唱的那一种。但是我觉得 Mute Math 这支乐队在编曲上还是下了很多的功夫的。

像刚刚这首歌曲里边我最喜欢的就是那个有弦乐带来的一个急转直下的一个桥段好了在这个小时的 key change 里边我们想好了和大家分享一些以民谣音乐为基底的作品但其实风格跨度彼此之间还是蛮大的我们最后一首歌送给大家来自 David Byrne 这首歌叫做 Glass, Concrete and Stone
