Madeline has become a leader in the charge against bail reform since the tragic murder of her son, Sergeant Hason Correa, who was stabbed to death at the age of 35 by a group of attackers he didn't even know. He had a wife and three children. Because of New York City's bail reform law, one of Sgt. Correa's attackers walks free today, only 4 years after his murder.
