All right. Carson, Cameron, which one of you wants to tell me the problem? So I'm 16, right? Carson's five. Yep. Thank you. Five. And I'm almost six. And like oftentimes I'll try to talk to my mom, right? And then he'll like constantly cut me off and like overtake conversation. It's like really prevalent.

Yeah. So, Carson, what does it feel like when Cameron and Mom are talking? What does it feel like to you? I don't know. Well, that's not an answer. That's not a true answer. Are you angry? Are you scared? Are you hurt? Are you jealous? Jealous. Yeah, you're jealous. The attention is going to your brother, right? Yes. Yeah. And what happens if you just sit quietly? Do you want to cry?

Do you want to yell? No. Do you want to kick something? What do you want to do? If you're quiet instead of talking while they're talking, what is it you feel like you'd like to do at that moment if you don't talk? Well, sometimes if my dad is not talking to them, I just play soccer with dad. Mm-hmm. Okay. Well, that's not the truth. Oh. Okay, Mom. You have something to say? Let's hear it.

So it's not if dad's here, it's almost always. And I see the 16-year-old, you know, he's in school and in the sports. So by the time I pick him up, it's already 6.30 and I've been home all day with Carson and he tries to get in the car to tell me about his day and he's immediately cut off. Like it happens all the time. Okay. Okay.

It's very frustrating to the older ones, and I feel bad. What have you guys, mom and dad, what have you tried to do as a consequence to that? As a consequence? I would... Not consequence, but you said, like, we try to cut off, like, see how it feels. Yeah, we've tried to... I don't want to say nothing, but we...

we stop or and then we've tried it we've attempted to just ignore him and keep the conversation going that doesn't that that doesn't work I'm sorry how does that teach Carson that this is wrong it's hurtful to Cameron it hurts Cameron Carson that you do that because you had mommy all day and Cameron comes home from school he's trying to have a little bit of mommy and

Explain to him how that hurts your feelings, please. It hurts my feelings because you have mama all day and I'm at school all day. And I come home and try to talk to mama when you've had the time to talk to mama all day. And then I can't talk to mama. So then I go to sleep and I can't talk to mama at all. So sometimes when we're jealous, we're not thinking about how we hurt the other people. So what do you think about that, Carson? Now that you know it hurts your brother, what do you think about it? I don't know.

You've got to stop saying, I don't know, because it's not true. You always know. You're a smart kid, and you always know what you're thinking and feeling. So don't do the, I don't know. Be brave and answer the question, please. Now that you know it hurts your brother, what do you think about continuing to do that? Carson, be brave and speak up, please. Just tell her whatever you're thinking. I'm sorry to Cameron.

So what do you think you're going to do when Cameron wants to talk to mom from now on? What do you think you're going to do? Stay quiet. Yeah. Or go do something else. Go play a game. Go outside, get exercise. Do something else. When they're finished, then you can ask Cameron maybe if he wants to play a game with you. Okay. You could do that. But I appreciate that now that you know that you're
