Okay, so about two years ago, my nieces... My sister moved to... We live in New York and my sister moved to Florida and living her life, happy for her. My nieces weren't happy about it, but we talked and whatever. And then suddenly they disassociated themselves from myself being their aunt.

I have four children, my children, my mother, my sister also, all disassociated from the family. I did reach out and nobody responded to me. And I kept reaching out. After a while, I felt like I wasn't taking a hint, so I stopped.

And then recently, about the beginning of the week, one of my nieces reached out. It was my mother's 85th birthday. And they reached out to find out why they couldn't get a hold of my mother. My mother's got dementia. Whole situation there. Okay, you do understand that this is not reaching out to you. What did they say that indicated what you just explained? Okay. It was one niece. My one niece said that she knows that she's speaking for herself, that she's disassociated, and she misses the family, and she hopes that we could see each other and maybe we could meet up. And then I said, you know, I would love to talk. And she said...

Okay. And then the next thing I know, she said that her sister was okay with that. And I was like, I didn't know it took me a sister. There's one that's a little angrier and there's one that's a, I feel like goes along with everything. Do you really need this drama in your life? Do you really need this? Are you so bored? Well then let it go because then your sister will get involved and the drama will escalate. Just let it go. Okay.

You are right. You're right. I don't want any of that. No. And when they start explaining why they kissed you off, it's going to turn ugly again.

Yeah, that's part of my try to handle. So when you're at a family thing, just be nice to them. Walk over, give a hug. It's good to see you. You look wonderful. But get on with your life. We don't need the drama. All this reaching out for people with drama, it doesn't add quality to our lives. It may even minimize our lifespan because it's stress. Whatever she's going to tell you to explain why she did what she did is not going to be good for you.

This is true. I feel bad for my mom because she misses them and has no idea why. That's her business. That's her business. In addition to the fact that they... See, when somebody wants to... Let me... If somebody wanted to get back to me after they did damage to somebody I cared about, I would say, you have to go remedy the damage you did to grandma before I will consider seeing you even for a muffin. Okay.

Okay. And my mother... Take control. Take control. Yeah. Okay. Okay. All right. I appreciate your call. My number. Yeah. You make it better, then I'll consider meeting. Until then, forget about it. You've done too much damage. You have to find a way to repair it before I will spend time out of my life. Then you'll know if somebody is really remorseful.
