So, I guess me and my mom are having a difference of opinions on an upcoming beach trip. So, my older brother, who is 21 years old, is going to the beach with his girlfriend, who is also 21 to 22 years old. And he invited me and my girlfriend to go to the beach as well. And I believe that it would be appropriate for me and them to go to the beach, and my mom does not.

Um, and I guess to sweeten it, to like convince my mom, I said, why don't we bring my girlfriend's little sister? So, you know, it's just a big group having fun at the beach. Uh, who are you going to be sleeping with?

I mean, there's three beds there, so I would just be sleeping by myself and Court, which is my girlfriend, and her sister will be sleeping together, and then my brother and his girlfriend will be sleeping together. I see. So your mother does not want you to be exposed to your brother sleeping with his girlfriend. Is that right? Yes, that's exactly right. I don't support the sleepovers. Okay. Well, since you're 17, Jet...

Your opinion doesn't count. Yeah, true, true. Do you think I'm being unrealistic in how... No, unrealistic, yes. Unreasonable, no. Okay, that's what I meant, unreasonable. A time ago, your older son's girlfriend's parents would not be thrilled with this. I agree. And he wouldn't be so blatant to show that he's doing her.

It's so unreasonable. Yeah, because kids have lost their way with respect to making sex special, love special. It's sad, actually. It's not special. I mean, should they get married and he carries her over the threshold? What's the big deal? He's already been doing her for three years, you know. So, yeah, yeah.

But while you can still support a value system that means something to you, I don't think that girl's any little sister should be there either. That's just more gross to me.

Jet doesn't see any of this because he's a male, and if males can get some nookie without paying the price of commitment, it's okay. They don't think that girls, women who are sexually active with somebody they're not married to is any big deal because they benefit from it, and they lose nothing from it. a notion of women on a pedestal and that certain things are special because they're preserved for certain circumstances. And, you know, it's too bad. We're all going in a less than 300 square foot house. It's a very small house, like very small. I don't care how big or small it is, sir. It's irrelevant. It's morally wrong. It's morally wrong. To go as a group of buddies and friends? No, for him to be sleeping with his girlfriend and for you and the little girl to be part of that. It's morally wrong.

Well, I don't think that's what his intentions are to sleep with her while we're there. I think it was just an invite. Oh, you're out of your mind, dear. You know, okay, great. Yeah, okay. Shauna, I stand with you. And I just feel bad that Jet doesn't have a higher set of values about it all. But, you know, that's the way it is in life.
