YouTube link:https://youtu.be/uinxBGFDQEk)The presidential election in the United States is almost a done deal, and a new president will take office in January 2021. Given the important role of the United States in the world, the leadership change in Washington will have significant impacts on German-Chinese relations as well. Will the new U.S. administration fundamentally change the Trump administration's foreign policies of confrontation and conflict? What will be the changes and continuities? Will Germany work closely with the Biden administration to develop a transatlantic policy toward China in order to jointly address the challenges posed to the Western world by the rise of China? How will the U.S. factor affect German-Chinese relations? Will the future German-Chinese relations be better because of the return to multilateralism of the U.S., or will they be under pressure because of the improvement in German-American relations? These important issues are not only what the elites care about, but also have impacts on the lives of ordinary people. Although they have no capability to change political decisions, they can adapt to them. Therefore, DCF Institute organized an online conference on November 14, 2020 to discuss these issues. The first part of the discussion is in Chinese and the second part in English, welcome to listen to the audio and watch the video. Any comments are highly appreciated. This is a public episode.
