今天节目开始我们听到的是来自英国的当代爵士组合 Go Go Penguin 在 2025 年 5 月 9 号发布的一首单曲 What We Are and What We Mean to Be 这也是他们即将发行的第七张录音室专辑 Necessary Fictions 当中的第二支单曲
这首作品非常简单融入了电子音乐的元素并且和传统乐器演奏结合在一起先是营造出一种冥想式的氛围然后过渡到具有动感的节奏《冥想式》
这首作品的灵感源自于 James Hollis 的一本书叫做 The Middle Passage 在书中探讨了阴影和寻找真正的自我的主题这就是 What we are and what we meant to be
