All right, let's get into the latest news. Just dropped apple's IOS eighteen point to release candidate has been released for developers. And what does that mean? That pretty much indicates that next week, most likely sometime, we will finally get I O S eighteen point two.

And why this is important, because this is the I O S. Eighteen point to almost there. But this is finally giving us the general AI features that we expect to see earlier but that apple said will deliver by the end of year.

So what are we talking about? Image playground, right? This is the new athlete you create, type in concepts, ideas, description, and include people from your photo library.

To create these fun and playful images, you can choose different art styles. You can swipe through different previous, but this is all done. Generate A I.

And then, because is is in its own APP, these images are thinked to your image, playground, library, and you can access them across all your devices. With eye cloud, you can create images and messages and free form as all third party apps. Look, I did a indepth video, everything, and I was eighteen point two from the developer beta.

You can check that out, you can see image um playground I will tell you after you play with IT for a while, IT can be fun. But I haven't used IT since. Uh, maybe that first week I was going around sending some photos of my nieces and nephews.

They didn't have IT. So I think maybe it's more of if you couldn't have a play back and forth and send something these images over. But IT has not changed how I use my device.

But IT is there. IT is one of the things that apple promised, right? Image playground will be part of IOS eighteen points that will most likely release next week.

We also have jan mogi, arguably the number one feature that people will be using an IOS eighteen over time. Je mogi allegedly to create custom amo gies directly from your keyboard type in descriptions. I did things like a toko tower.

I do things like a yellow egg plan, all types of funky things. Yes, you can do anything that is using any type of copyright licensed characters. Same thing goes for image playground. But a fun way to, if something strikes you and you want to come with some weird, funky amo di that doesn't exist yeah can it's in the same a modi style, I will say. I also have stopped over time using gene modus, but again, it's most likely because other people couldn't do IT yet that that I constantly text with.

So maybe there i'll be a resurge in mogi use because that, but also your gene movies, that you create a sink to your sticker drawer and you can access them across your devices. With eye oud now ugly, the most important general AI feature coming ChatGPT support. So ChatGPT from OpenAI is a partnership that apple has allowed and works with theory or your writing tools.

And why is this important? Well, this is important because with ChatGPT, you can really answer and create a lot more complex um questions that you have or if you prompted to do different things. For example, you could do something like ask you to create A A three course dinner for someone who's vegan with let's say carrots as the main Green like you can really come up with different things like that or someone let's let's keep IT maybe a little more easier for people to work with maybe someone who is vegetarian.

But look, I put in like a state dinner five course. You couldn't create things like that. You could say, hey, i'm vision L A.

What should I do for three days? And IT gives you this like really detailed layout, arguably like an itinerary of maybe three or four places that you could visit each day so you can do things like that and also can answer more but questions. Anytime siri doesn't have the answer, IT immediately goes to ChatGPT to help you.

So you can um also have to help you compose in writing tools, create something from scratch, uh, relevant answers. A ChatGPT account is not required and your requests will be anonymous and IT won't be used to train OpenAI own models if you do sign in with ChatGPT to access your account benefits that if you already have that, your request will be covered by OpenAI data policies. So if you're already a ChatGPT user, you can access your account to get those extra account perks.

I don't personally have a ChatGPT account. I just have used IT sparagus here there, but IT has come in handy once a little bit. Again, I feel like it's gonna take time for us to really embraces as habits because I just haven't used the general A I features that much after may be planned in with them for a couple weeks.

But I do definitely feel that ChatGPT the most important feature, elderly general AI features from I O S eighteen point two. Now image one is a feature that can turn your sketches and a hand written or type notes into images. If you're plane around with the note APP, that's going to be be part of this.

I was eighteen point release and then describing your change in the writing tools will allow you to suggest how you like something we write. For example, say, oh, i'd like this to be a high q poem or i'd like to be a lot friendly or maybe i'd like this to be um maybe have a little more a edge to IT. You can ask things.

I got to change the way that something you've ring in writing tools comes across. Also, camera control. You do have the visual intelligence feature with camera control that instantly lets you take a picture, something, learn about a place, whether its information on a sign for restaurant or a concert event.

This uses either google search or ChatGPT when you take a an image. I showed how this works in the video of my IOS eighteen point two developer data preview, so you can dig into that and see how that helps you out. That's also useful.

But again, i'm not i'm going to be real with you am going to a be one hundred. I am not using these on a one hundred percent basis, some other small things, male categorization. Now help you sort your most important messages and then category them in some of these different features, whether it's like it's an add or the social media thing or is an important message.

You get that here. And I was eighteen point two. You have some photo improvements so far. Improvements are these are more subtle. But I think the biggest thing, the biggest key thing here is going to be obviously the generate A I.

Now one of the cool things that they shot off in their keynote is voice memo s now supports later recording that allows to add vocals over an existing song idea without the need for headphones. So then you can import basically two track projects that are ideas. Maybe on the fly, you come up with a song idea, a Melody, a hook, and you can then put that project directly.

Intel logic pro that exist on your iphone sixteen pro. 而 iphone 11 pro max， I think this is as a creative tool, could be really cool and really interesting as well. So these are just some of the things that you have from IOS eighteen point two that are, let's call, a more core features, but you can check out, know all the end of stuff online to see what else might be relevant to you.

Those, I think, are the ones that are the most important and most impacted. So we have I S eighteen point to most likely coming out in next week sometime. But then, you know, I think before we get to all the I O S seventeen teeth that I talked about, what's two kind of maybe a little round up of a lot of things that we've heard over.

I guess you could say the past week of what could be happening and know what is gaining a lot attraction. I think the biggest one that we've heard about, at least in the most recent future, is that, you know, talk again about what what you think. yes.

And iphone fordable iphone could be not even could be, but display's rush yang is saying that apple is playing to date b finally a fledged iphone in twenty twenty six. Now we've seen, I think, not much change in the foodful space. We ve seen what samsung is put out, and these are fascinating things.

We ve seen what google put out. I actually still think google pixel fold to is my favorite foundation personally, based on its features and functionality and its design. There's obviously lot affordability overseas in the asian markets, but they don't get as much traction here in the us.

Because they're not made available, but they are unlocked. Russian says that apples expected to enter the fault ball market in the second half of twenty twenty six. Now I know that at least here in the U. S, apple has a dominant position for flagships smartphones. And with the overall flow mall market pretty much trying to stagnate what would give IT in general.

The biggest boost i've always said fordable les will not the the way for fordable les take off is once apple release affordable, they do have this ability to lift the category to create interest in a category. The design that is expected based on report right now would be affordable more in that clam shell. All law, the samsung z flip phone.

Fold in half, become smaller and compact in your pocket, and then can expand to roughly around the size of a regular iphone. Now, rumors are saying here, maybe somewhere between a seven point nine in eight point three inch size, but with that clam shell design, I don't know what you guys and guys think about this like. I think there's A I think what i've seen from apple and will talk about a little bit more, I want to get to the iphone.

The iphone is so ubiquitous, the iphone market versus android market here in the us has pretty solidified. Apple hasn't lower the Price and made a significantly more affordable iphone. I think that's really more than anything hurt them international.

When I was out in india, when I visited asia, the iphone is important, but is not nearly as important as other phones. And I I would really argue say it's the Price point that really holds IT back internationally, and that's just what they've decided to do. But affordable iphone could at least help maybe give IT a kick. But I I don't I wouldn't say, hey, this this is real innovation less.

Apple is doing something that we've never seen, even if the display tech is incredible, like we know what to spectrum photos we've seen where they can go, what can apple do differently? I mean, I love seeing the evolution of how fold was went from initial candle design, then really using the outer display, then improving the cameras. And if I just comes to an ecosystem play, uh, to Spark this next bump in interest, I guess.

But you can't tell me that i'm, you know, jump and off the walls same like this is, this is innovation. This is the next thing. The next thing has been around for five years, like literally five plus years from other manufacturers.

And I don't I don't know if I immediately hop over to affordable iphone, I would have to see what it's like. I would have to see what the value proposition is. Do I get worse batter life because of this new farm factor? Is the camera not as impressive does that? You know, IT might make sense for me to stay with a pro type model.

Design will see, but all reports indicate that an iphone affordable will become in some time in the second half of twenty twenty six. If you weren't excited about the latest iphone line up, save your money. some.

I even had someone tell me like, I just need something cool and text by. And you can you know, if you don't buy an iphone, you could direct that money towards like a robot vacuum or a new T V. Or home improvements or just save IT like you don't have to spend IT.

But I think this year, a lot of people that I know didn't necessary pull the trigger for the sixteen pro. And I got my advice is I K if you have a 3 or higher and you're really happy with IT， you should hold on to IT if you're happy with your twelve most like that, the batteries hurt there a little bit. Then maybe that's a good point to make to really make an upgrade.

People, I want up great to always going up great. But thirteen pro and higher, I think you're still kind of OK right now, quite honest. So uh, we'll see how all plays out now.

Another rumor device coming next year, vini quo reports right? Apple liquor as a pretty solid reputation in general. No one gets all these things right exactly. But maci quo says the next ipad pro will be coming with an m five chip in the fall of twenty five, which would be different in the time lines of how the ipad pro typically been upgrade. Now this year we saw the m for chip.

The tandem OA display right is the first time the ipad got any type of ola display, the thinnest ipad we've ever seen, a nano texture option. But this next version with an m five is already in the works, and that would be a roughly eighteen months refresh cycle according to mi quo and the suppliers that have shared some these details for the next ipad pro IT looks like the second half of twenty twenty five again with a new and five processor. And i'm just telling you, right now, a lot of people asked me like, what do we need all this overhead for? right? The m for is is obese to put in an ipad pro.

And my my only line is look at someone who edits video for a living. I don't I don't need more than that on an ipad pro even if i'm not doing video. I didn't know my ipad pro, but I can I think where where all this power leads us next to is that apple push eventually for people to start creating content around spatial video and immersive video and having the hardware and the machines to really handle that fall lesly.

And that becomes a smaller percentage of users. IT really does. But if you're wondering, like how much more power do I actually need, that the only type of user, right, you have cotters that are using these.

You have visual effects graphics, a motion graphics, content creators that are doing things like this that require more powerful even at that. Anyone who has an m2 M2 ultra write the the max studio。 Anyone who has that is they don't need anything else now.

And what is really the next level of concentration IT has to be spared video, an immersive video, to really need that exercise. And for most, I would now say nine, nine percent of users do not need that. And we've talked about how apple silicon is really incredible, how the the performance, the heating, the sound that IT makes right little to no fan ever.

Everything about apple silicon is incredible. The only place where apple falls short still is gaming. And that is really more of the platform and soft developers, some have come over to the mac, but not enough. And i'm not going to game on an imac. I'm not gonna game on a mac.

I bought a gaming PC specifically to really not only just to wrap my head around why my nie and reviews who want a game with me literally don't care about a mac at all, and it's because of all the options you have for gaming on A P. C. And that is where apple has fAllen short.

And if I asked all of five of my needs and nephews, i've talked about this, what do you want for your computer? None of them want to make. They all want a PC.

And that tells me everything of where this next generation is going. So no matter how much is canada contention, convenience is of use, stability. Minces nephews don't care about that, maybe they when they get older.

But right now, the next generation is all about the P, C, all about the PC. All right. One more in this room, round up of kind of some of the latest devices that have been talked about and thrown around.

Let's talk about hometown d now I did a smart home episode, I believe, a couple episodes ago where we talked about, you know, some of the rumors of making this A I smart, you a smart, let's call a smart display for your wall, which as time has gone on, it's like, okay, the ipad is so good, why could an apple just offer this? And fine, maybe they make IT walmart ple. Maybe they are.

They optimized IT because IT reportedly, I think, is still gna have a rechargeable bat, which is like, okay, this thing Better last for a month or more. I don't want to keep on taking this off my water to recharge IT. That seems a little silly if that is the case.

Again, we don't know what the final design is, but all reports of that, it's gonna roughly something like a six inch display wall mounted typed uh device, very ipad desk, thicker border display wise is roughly about the size of two iphone next to each other and will be this command center for your smart home. Okay, that's cool. But I think give much like I talked about in my recent video, if apple is taking this smart home, serious ly, and if they are going all in IT, IT needs to be more than this.

I need to be supporting devices like proxim ity sensors, or you know what called present sensors. Arguably, you know, there's been a report that they are thinking of working on their own home security system. If apple wants to create a true ecosystem of smart home devices and try and put their flag in the ground, that space they should, if they really care about, if they really wanted to take them seriously.

But the other chAllenges is taking them so long that a lot of people have system is like, what is apple system going to be so compelling that i'm going to tear out all of my or not there out, but replace and remote all of my google ness cameras around my house? Is IT going to, you know, override my A D. T.

Security system. Will they be able to convince me to just do all that just because apples doing IT? You know, I have amazon devices, google devices. I'm a mixed home, smart home ecosystem, and its works completely fine for me.

Can apple unite that and make IT simple my hands up in the area? So you know, there IT looks like there's going to be targeting the smart home in a variety ways. I mention that story about them doing potentially doing reports of, hey, they're looking into doing a security home system.

Okay, interesting. We do know that we can trust apple with security in our privacy, okay, that at least some level foundation, but we talked about some of the other devices, right? We have a smart home while while smart display for a walk mout.

We've then heard of a more premium version that with a robotic ARM, that could be something as like an assistant on your kitchen table, which seems like I don't think I want that. But okay, we'll see. I have to reserve judgment until IT actually happens.

And then this rumor of a home pod with an actual display, whether it's a mounted display or a display on the top that currently exist that allows to see more functionality that is been rumored to launch some time, at least initially in the first half of this year. That didn't happen to go now as a home pod with the display has been pushed back to the first half of twenty, twenty five. Now I don't know about there's been a lot of rumors.

We've seen a prototype as far back. I think of something like about a year ago where we did see a home home pod. Be careful what I say here with an L, C, D display on that circle that showed more information, more visual graphics.

You know, we've heard about, oh, maybe apple to just melt a some type of o let's see, a seven, eight ens display to an actual homework. D there were reports that in all, in one type unit similar to the echo show would exist. So you could just imagining, literally just fuse IT basic fuse an ipad onto a home pad and the home ipad or the ipad.

Pad home pod pool. But there's a lot of opinion of how the apples going to really do this. And until they do IT right, will we see this display with with a hometown d views together? Second half of twenty twenty five, we'll see early half of twenty, twenty five, we'll see.

I think that it's hard to be certain to figure out what exactly apple is intending to launch, but we clearly have started to see these reports that apple is looking to make their next push into the smart home, and that's what we should look at and see how they addressed. And even though it's been really late, I do feel like the smart home has stagnated little bit because we have everything we need. And is apple going to bring something in? Tried enough and invigorating enough for someone like me who actually prefers to be on different systems just to be able to understanding and get the different experience.

Like just because apple makes that you've seen me to do, I switch over automated and just just do everything that apple puts out. But will I try IT? Of course, we'll see what apple can do to really give me a compelling reason to even think I should switch out my entire home system because matter was supposed to really bring all this compatibility.

You make this so easy do and I just hasn't happen, right? We haven't seen a full easy, all like easy transition with matter devices to apple's platform. Now some people say I don't need a smart display.

I control everything from my home, from my phone. And you're right, but they want this home while mount to display to be more than just, uh, a control. They want you to be able to face time.

They basically kind of wanted to be in that kind of they wanted to be like an echo show, but in apple's way, because they feel that they can do a Better and they feel that their user base, who is blocked in the ecosystem, will have more benefits because it's locked in the u cosm. And I can see that to a certain degree, but I will people actually respond to do IT that can me hold different questions. So that's we're going to have to wait and see what happens.

I don't have the fancy manti mix with me, but thanks so much for sticking with this because we got to talk a lot about a lot of things here um iphone seventeen. So there's been design leagues. There's been reports there in rumor.

We're onna break down everything we know. And when I hear all the stuff, I have my own thoughts. But i'm also going to be very cares about what you think about this because I don't know if there's a point where like what more can the iphone really do for us.

But you know what, i'll let you decide. I'm not let you know all the information that's out based on the latest reports and stories and from the information reporter. Win ma reports at the apple iphone seventeen pro and seventeen promex will have significant design changes.

Now we talk about when we say this, the most, the biggest one in some people like, uh, what do we talk in about? According the report, the two flagship iphone seventy models, the one seven prom prom x, will be the first higher phones to feature an aluminum frame, since previously non pro models had aluminum and pro models had, either at the time, stainless steel or the titanic frames right? IT was always the lower end models that always had a lumen of frames.

Well, according to the report, this is gonna one of the changes that the new iphone seventeen lineup will bring the entire lineup to aluminum. Now i'll say some people might feel that to step down. I mean, I put a case on one anyways.

I don't think the frame of a phone now these days with how mature these are is going to affect me or make me say this doesn't feel as premium. I am, of course, the illusion of finish won't have that shine or gleam that the Stanley steel wants out of the tiananmen finishes had that I kind of have an extra texture, but we'll see now. Also, the report says the rear of the new iphone seventeen Price and pro maxes will have a new part aluminum and part glass design.

So according to the report, the top path of the back we made of aluminium and feature a rectangular shaped camera bomb made of aluminum instead of that three glasses they've done in the past or sorry, traditional glass on the past, while the bottom half will continue to be made of glass so that I can support while charging, so will be like a two tone rear with a rectangular camera. I'm going to tell you right now, if you've looked at any phones on the market that have used two different type of materials or had a two toned feeling and reciting your camera, you're literally talking about the google pixel pro line up. They're be doing this.

I feel like since as far back as the six pro, maybe the google six pro, um I am not going to say this is not an original design, but this is not an original design. And also we will have to see how apple does IT. They're going to execute in their own way.

So i'm sure i'll look nice, but you I would say that in twenty twenty four, google pixel line pro was my favorite design and part that had to do if they really made the phone look like an iphone. But it's camera design that rounded rectangle, the color swapped IT. I would say my favorite design from an from iphone this year was actually a google pixel pro and not in iphone just because IT had a fresh look.

IT looked different. IT had the right functionality. IT did a lot different things in the pixel nine pro. IT is an awesome phone, is an awesome phone. Now, the only thing that I would say why I would be hard for me to completely search a big nine process, because the iphone still captures the best video out of any phone on planet earth.

Now what that comes to photos, that's going to be a different story, right? We've got a lot of quality phones that really quite actually take Better photos than iphone. But when IT comes to video, nothing beats the iphone and is a video content creator.

That is why I also stick with the iphone when IT comes to a majority of my content creation. So this two tone kind of different materials, rectangular shape, uh, camera and an aluminum frame. Those are absolutely significant differences that where are reportedly rumored to come to the iphone seventeen.

Now also, the link will be different because we know there's the iphone seventeen. There's then going to be an iphone seventeen, let's call the iphone seventeen air or what the people called the iphone slam. Then you have the iphone seventeen pro and the iphone seventeen pro max.

So we have some new features have been revealed about what this slummer iphone seventeen air might have. According to information, win mar again. And in this index report, over several new details of the device came out talking about how this would be the thinnest iphone ever because apples targeting a thus between five millimeters and six millimeters.

Now you look back the iphone sixteen model that's seven point eight millimeters thick. Uh, i've on sixteen pro is eight point two five millimeters that you ve got to go all the way back to something like the iphone. And I believe the thinness of that phone was six point nine millimeters.

Now I know everyone the instance like all you're going to afford, you going to be able to end end and half. And I think like i've said this for a while, any phone will bend if you put in a force to IT. And I didn't you know we when was the last time you heard of a majority of users having their iphones been yeah, if you set on this brogna happen, I don't think it's as big of an issue, especially any more.

And if you look at something like the ipad, which is the thinness ipad that we've ever seen, I think is IT SHE. You, I don't want to say, but I feel like it's around five millimeters. Close to that is a little larger than than that.

Maybe it's five point nine. But the current ipad pro, they put in this like really strong frame design and like a spine in the middle that made IT significantly harder to ban fold. And so I think that a similar design and learnings from that ipad pro are going to come to this new iphone seventeen air.

So the target is a thickness between five millimeters and six mile ters. It's also not finalized the design. Also, this current iphone seventeen air lacks a physical sim card train.

Now that's not anything new because we've seen how apple has moved over to easy technology. I think the fourteen, the fifteen and the sixteen models, none of those have a physical century card already. But what's different is that internationally, phone sold in other iphones sold in these other countries still have the sim card tray.

So that would be a significant move to then always something just be like, no. So internally, I still, you know, call me old school, but I actually still like the fact that I could swap in a different sim card instead of just like. There's a little more versatility that you have, I don't know, maybe call me old coal, but I I still like that.

Either way, this device, this new iphone seventeen air, will only have eaten technology and no sim card tray. Another thing, yes, this is gonna a significantly slimmer phone, so I can't have all the same balls and is expected to have a single speaker in the earpiece because there is apparently not ough room for a second speaker. I'm going to tell you right now, we take this for granted.

The sound on the iphone is incredible. Steel speakers sound great. You just reduce that to a single mono speaker on one end.

It's not in a sound nearly is good. It's just not. And I think people will be like, oh, man, this does not sound no good. I think it's something that we take for granted just how good in general the iphone sounds. And you take that away, people going to realize that is not decade now.

We also expect this new iphone 7 air to be equipped with the reportedly rumored apple designed 5g motive that they have been working on for a while， is reportedly smaller and more powers efficient than cocoon modems that are used in current iphones. But, you know, he do a flip side of that. Also, this apple model will not have the ultra fast millimeter wave 5g support， and the biggest will have to see how this performs compared to call comes.

We're going to have to see how the battery life compares. We know that this year in the iphone sixteen pro lineup, they increase the batteries battery capacity of four hours out to you. It's the best battery i've had an iphone and performance amazing with Normal use.

If you're using your camera all all the time and you're at disney land doing sofya, it's onna dream. But still this is the best barrier life i've had on an iphone that I can remember the seventeen year year will not have that same barrier life because it's going to have a smaller battery. So will you be more similar to maybe they're able to optimize about to get similar battery like that we had in the fifteen pro, but IT can be so bad that is you can't even necessarily get through the day.

That's gonna. Another reason that's surprise. The biggest reason the iphone mini couldn't didn't really succeed. The biggest two reasons, IT didn't have the best cameras and IT had poor batter life because of its size.

And I feel like so many things are also going to be playing ging this iphone seventeen air. It'll have a bigger display. They'll have us a Better battery, but not the best battery.

Also, we're expecting the camera to just be a single forty eight magpie el camera and then a single twenty four mea pixel front camera, eight gigs around for apple intelligence. But a single forty eight pixel camera, I would say for most people, that's fine. And it's going to be really excited to see how consumers react to this design.

I know there's going to be some people are gonna love IT, but we're going to we're going to find out really quickly. I do argue though that the plus model in the iphone line out, which is always touted the best barry life IT, wasn't a difference. Enough people to really jump onto that or feel that I was compelling.

And I think this idea of making a super or a slimmer iphone seventeen with core features, but not all the big like bells and whistle features that the prana pz is an interesting play. And I think I think IT could arguably at least you move the needle forward to take up that iphone seventeen plus slot is now gonna an iphone seventeen air. And if apples just looking for attraction and different ones to upgrade, be this might be one of those phones that helps lead to that.

I don't one hundred percent no, but I sure know that in iphone seventeen year sounds lot more compelling than an iphone seventeen plus historically. And we're going in the point where iphone are so ubiquitous and iphone, you know, the audience is built in. People have the models that they have.

Apple seems to be maybe treating this like cars now where the iphone is different models for different types of use cases. And I still think there's a space for the mini. I'm a champion of the mini.

If IT had really great barry life in excEllent cameras, I think the mini would easily survive. But we all to visit that for another time. That looks like the seventeen year is gna be their new thing.

But all these previously rumor features six point six cents splay aluminum frame, a new a nineteen processor, still face I still dynamic island, a single forty eight mega big al rear camera, twenty four make a pixel front camera and aces, a RAM of apple intelligence.
