Cannot get enough of this new one from Florence Road. Florence Road are an Irish girl group supported by Introducing across the line. The track is called Figure It Out. It's their fourth single and it is sounding huge. Looking forward to hearing more from this lot soon, hopefully. It is Emily Pilbeam with you on Six Music. It is the Introducing mixtape and this is Humour. My jeans haven't been a portion
I know.
It's another excellent offering from Scottish Punk's Humour. That track is called Memorial on the Introduce a Mixtape on 6 music. I have loved a lot of Humour tunes and I think that one might be knocking some of my other faves off the top spot. It is taken from their upcoming debut album Learning Greek which is coming out via So Young Records on the 8th of August and they're going to be playing a few shows this week actually in Edinburgh, Preston, London and Paris.
Hello, it is Emily Pilbeam with you on Six Music, the BBC introducing Mixtape, the place to find your new favourite UK act. Got so much good stuff to play for you this week. Gonna be replaying you my track of the week from a couple of weeks ago from The Itch and I'm gonna introduce you to a brand new track of the week as well. Got some music from all corners of the UK on the show this week. Music from the West coming your way, from Essex and Cambridgeshire, the North East.
We're reaching everywhere. If you want to get your music to me, you want to get it played right here on this show, all you need to do is go to bbc.co.uk forward slash introducing. I check the uploader every single week, listen to it every single week, and that is the only way you can get your music to us. That is what this next artist did, called Hang Linton. Dead happy to be playing this for you on the show.
So Hang Linton is an artist I've been supporting on my Introducing Leeds and Sheffield show for quite a while. And I've been really enjoying watching the rise of Hang Linton recently. We actually got him to play for us at Brudenell Social Club earlier this year, well, for Independent Venue Week, so right at the start of this year, supporting Big Special. He's recently been on tour with Benefits as well.
And this next single from Hang Linton is just another surefire sign that they are destined for greatness. It's sultry, it's smooth and inspiring as well. And it features, actually, Nick Richards of Nubian Twist on sax duty. This is coming out via Yard Axe label Zen FC. It's new music from Hang Linton. It's called Bad Bad But Good on Six Music.
I just got to get out of here. The things you have to
I don't know myself my dear, that's why I'm asking you So I must say Yeah believe me when I say In a good way, yeah in a good way Now I have done some bad things I've been terrible at times But far from treated equally Paid heavy for my crime Even one love piece for all mankind Not too far inside my head It's scary what you find

This is my track of the week from last week, not last week, a couple of weeks ago. It is The Itch and The Influencer on Six Music. I don't think I can hear that tune enough. I think it's so, so good. I did try and see them the other week at the Great Escape Festival, but it was in a 60 capacity venue, so there was absolutely no way of me getting in. So fingers crossed I'll be able to see them at some point over festival season.
I didn't play that tune for you last week on the show because we were at the Great Escape and we played you all of the live music from the Introducing Six music showcase at Paganini Ballroom. If you missed that last week, I would recommend listening back because all of the acts were genuinely amazing. We had Welly headlining the night, Fuzz Lightyear, The Nun and West Side Cowboy all playing for us. And yeah, they were so good. It was really nice to catch up with all those acts.
as well so listen back to that on BBC Sounds if you missed it but right now it is time for another track of the week Six Music
The BBC introducing mixtape, Track of the Week. And this week's Track of the Week comes from a band from Stoke. They are called Formal Speedwear. I've seen these a couple of times live and each time I have been genuinely blown away by how slick they are and how fun they are as well. I think they are potentially the tightest band I've ever seen live.
I find it really hard to listen to formal speedwear without having a huge grin on my face and, you know, just wanting to dance, really. Tapping my toes, that's usually what I do when I listen to formal speedwear. They write this quirky new wave art rock that I think, you know, you can compare to Talking Heads, but they're doing something really fun and vibrant as well. I think this new one is full of so much colour, colourful,
I hope you like this as much as I do. It is my track of the week, a brand new track of the week for you from Formal Speedwear. This is called Wait. Straight through the wall I've got both so sure before I turn Things look so simple That's what makes you beautiful Personal sensation Lifted from your life Much I haven't left too much Not left behind But I don't think you'll ever believe my invitation turning inside
Who are just believing that? As I start living it comes again Count me out once again Oh, it took me off the ground You wanna wrestle me or do you want the pencil in your pulling hat to cut? This is a petrifying time One question How can I kill me right? It's a new heart That you can't see It's like some flu effect Some curiosity You have to deal with It's your philosophy
You get to watch this in theory It's like turning out the light You put a tear of a long in someone You know this already But you're wasting your time Like in a vision Like out in the evening It's crying What is it you told me? I can act and bump into an invitation Turning inside
What? You're leaving, bud.
My new track of the week, that is Formal Speedwear and Waits on Six Music. That is Formal Speedwear with two Ps if you want to look for them on the internet. They are going to be playing at the George Tavern in London on the 14th of June. And please do go and check them out live because they are really, really great live. We actually had them play a stage for us, my local BBC Introducing Leeds and Sheffield show at Float Along Festival last year and they were unbelievably good.
And this next band I'm going to play for you also played that stage as well. They are called Bug Teeth. They're a band from Leeds. They are exceptional live. I saw them for the first time supporting English Teacher at Hebden Bridge Trades Club. And what a perfect venue to see this band for the first time.
I've been waiting for them to release new music for a while, actually, and this one in particular, it's very nice to hear this kind of rougher, rockier sound to Bugteeth. They usually make this kind of dreamy, ethereal pop, but this is kind of making it a bit darker and a bit more confronting, and I think PJ's vocals on this cut right through it as well. This is Bugteeth and Topery. In the halls I roam

It is Blousey on Six Music and Chances. I have been itching to play that one for you for a while on the show. Blousey are a new band coming out of London. That is their second single. And it has been stuck in my head since I first heard it, which was via the BBC Introducing upload of bbc.co.uk forward slash introducing to get your music to me.
It is Emily Pilbeam with you on Six. And I'm over the moon to finally be able to play you this new one from Holy Bones on the show. So Holy Bones first sent their music to Introducing Northampton Three Counties last June. They only sent us one single until this new one that I'm about to play for you. And I made them one of my top tips of the year, actually, alongside The Itch, who you heard in the show earlier.
And yeah, I've just been quite hooked on this band for a while. I don't know much about them. They're an anonymous collective. And yeah, this is their second single, which is so effortlessly cool. They've got the electronic sound that they want down to a T and the vocals are exquisite. There's something really assuring actually about listening to this act.
I think they really know who they are and there's a confidence to them that is quite addictive. This is Holy Bones, their new single Everywhere Break on Six. I'm late, half sheltering from rain in a doorway. I send a text because I'm scared to ring the bell. It's a crammed kitchen, fingers fidget. You knock over a tin, I grin. Your voice cuts through the noises of men, children, drunk. An hour goes, or three, till it's tricky because it's windy, can outside kiss.
We shiver The moonshine ripe Drops us a sliver I find a dream in you Looking slick Cracking face paint Dressed in blue-ripped tracksuits Phrase draped over broken-in black shoes Running palavering Stars pulling on heartstrings Don't know where this goes But I wanna start asking 'Cause my imaginary friends give me strength in numbers So you know if you ever feel you're going under It's so easy
It's brighter in spring and then you're gone. Summer lets on how badly we wrecked. Autumn is boredom and winter comes along. We never say goodbye, don't know why. But I just sort of stand there and watch everywhere break. I face the sun but the shadows still fall in front of me. I'm trying to be lovely but it's fun to be ugly. And that's kind of it. My memory of you splintering into tinctures.
A thousand drops, bird bright Falling across the beams of a needling streetlight Loved losing me, put you But it put you on billboards It couldn't happen to anybody else No, it had to be you, of course While the best thing I ever did Was let you go The best thing you ever did was Take over the world
I thought losing me stopped space and time But the earth kept on turning, aiming every lie Did you hurt me on purpose? While the best thing was let you go The best thing ever did And you made it all safe and sober Get caught in
Take over the world
It's a dreamy new one from Tragic Sasha. That is called Billboards. It's from her upcoming EP, Myself But Better. I like this that I read on. I think it was on Tragic Sasha's Instagram. She says, I had this concept in my head about breaking up with someone who later became a celebrity. I wanted to make a song that was like a reverse Sk8er Boi by Avril Lavigne. I love that from Tragic Sasha.
Got the latest single to play for you now from Mumbletide on Six Music. Mumbletide are Gina and Ryan. This is their fourth track from their debut album. Might as well play another one, which is out now. The track is called Good On The Inside, and I think this is delicate and a really captivating tune as well. I hope you like this. Sound of Yoneki and Without You on Six Music. Yoneki is a songwriter supported by Introducing in Essex in Cambridgeshire. I would say that tune is for fans of Cleo Soul, Olivia Dean, you know, the pop girlies with an edge is what I would say. Hoping to hear some more from Yoneki at some point soon.
I've got this stunning bit of music to play for you now from multi-genre artist Ugly Heads. So they are a duo in Middlesbrough. They blend together old school hip hop, funk beats, jazz guitar melodies and more. And they apparently collaborate with musicians around their home and across the world from the Philippines to Canada.

This is Serenade and Sounds of Eleni Drake on Six Music. The track is called A Wonder Day. Eleni Drake is a London-based singer, songwriter and producer.
