BBC Radio 6 News. Discover all the latest shows, sessions and mixes from 6 Music on the BBC Sounds app. Right now, the BBC introducing mixtape. River, forget my mistakes. Feel, cause I feel like. Said I'll never know. You say I kind of hate her anymore.

I don't, maybe I don't. I thought that you'd be sweet. Got stuck in my teeth. Sugar tore me to pieces. Then I ran again. I know it felt so terrible. I'm so impressed by these tears. But without salt on my face. So it can't be sweet.

I've come so far.

Starting off this week's BBC Introducing Mixtape on 6Music with last week's track of the week. That one came from Maddy Ashman. It's called Toffee. And right now you're locked into myself, Phoebe IH, here on 6Music. I am so excited to be bringing you the full line-up details of the BBC Introducing stage at Glastonbury. It got announced last week and last week.

Honestly, I think the line-up is one of the most outstanding that the BBC Introducing stage has ever had. But we'll get into all of that in a minute because first of all, I wanted to bring you a really special tune from someone who has only just started uploading to the BBC Introducing uploader. I present BBC Introducing in Scotland. That's where you can usually find me every Friday night when I'm not sitting in for Emily here on Six Music or over on Radio 1.

But tonight I'm in here in Six Music and it gives me the perfect reason to bring you this brand new tune from James Emmanuel. This is bringing to mind to me people like Gabriel's. He's got that full, rich gospel sound that blends so perfectly into R&B. This is James Emmanuel with Brothers and Sisters. Oh my brothers

Why are you treating our sisters this way? Think of our mother Don't you imagine what they'd have to say If they heard what you said Or saw what you did When you thought there was no one around Oh my brother

Would you let your daughter be treated so bad? Why don't you be? Give her the best that you can. I want to be like a shoe. Oh, my sister. Why are you treating our brother so cold? Please, would you listen?

None of us want to be left all alone No, we don't want to forget it And say sorry if we get it Oh, my sister, you want your son to grow Be strong, just let him be And give you the best that he can I want to be like a shoe

Scared of death, offending up alone Children crying in a broken home Picking up the pieces of a perfect mistake Oh, I'm sick and tired of the jealousy Didn't even know what you and me been through And I don't understand why won't let me be your And give you the best that I can I want to be your

Sounding so good on the BBC Introducing mixtape, that was James Emanuel. And right now you're here on Six Music with myself, Phoebe IH. And I am overjoyed to tell you that BBC Introducing have announced our line-up for Glastonbury 2025. We have got a stunning line-up featuring some of the most exciting new British artists.

They've all been championed by BBC Introducing from all across the UK. And there's going to be some familiar, friendly faces taking to the decks as well. I'm going to be playing you some of the artists that are performing on the stage over the festival on this show. But some of the other names include people like Alt Black Era, Beth McCarthy, Courtney Dixon, Debussy.

Lambrini Girls, who I absolutely love, Nectar Woods, Nia Smith, West Side Cowboy and so, so many more. There's going to be DJ sets as well from BBC Introducing's Jess Is It. I'm going to be DJing as well. And also the BBC Introducing stage is opening earlier than ever this year. It's opening on the Thursday, the 26th of June.

when Annie Mack and Nick Grimshaw, they're going to be recording an episode of their Sidetracked podcast in front of a live audience for the first time.

And there's going to be so much more happening on the BBC Introducing Stage across the weekend. We're going to be welcoming back Radio 1 Dance Family for a Radio 1 Dance Takeover on the Thursday. Emily Bilbeam, who usually presents this show, is teaming up with Nathan Shepard for Six Music's Indie Forever for some late night fun on the Friday. And there is so, so, so much more. ♪

All of the action happening at Glastonbury will be available on iAir and on social media with the highlights broadcast on BBC Introducing Shows across the UK. You'll be able to watch it all back on iPlayer and the YouTube channel. So if you're not going, don't worry, you won't miss any of the action afterwards.

And tonight I'm going to be playing you some of the artists that are going to be gracing the stage, starting with this one. This is such a get ready into the groove of the summer tune from Mercy. This one's called Flicker. Flicker, flicker, flicker, flicker, flicker, flicker. People believe, not give up. Flicker, flicker, flicker, flicker, flicker, flicker. Then talk a cheap old filler.

Check. Confusing my thoughts with something they said. Head in my hands, they pulling my leg. Trimming the bush, hedging my bets. Betting they body, I body the set. Give me the check and respect. Yeah. Getting up in life, I ain't living a speck. Learning that you either do what you don't and regret. Living life dead upset. I just come through and I fuck up the set. Mash it and jet. This week's Track of the Week comes to you from a band called Mercy Girl, who I have been supporting for a while on my BBC Introducing in Scotland show. This band are pretty fresh, but that doesn't mean that they are inexperienced, because all the members of the band have been working hard behind the scenes in the Scottish music scene for quite a while, but this project seems to be the one that is making the magic fly.

They sold out their debut headline a couple of months ago up in Glasgow. They have been blowing up on social media with their dark wave electronic sounds. It's something to get totally lost in. It's something to soundtrack completely.

intense feelings in the club or coming home after a questionable weekend. It's deeply reflective, it's meditative but still pulsing and driving. Their sound is so uniquely placed between rock and electronic. I absolutely

The sound of Webmums here on the BBC Introducing Mixtape. That one was featuring Esme Storm and it's called Remedy. And Webmums will be taken to the BBC Introducing stage at this year's Glastonbury. I'm going to struggle to actually leave the BBC Introducing stage and go and see anything else. All of the most exciting artists are gracing our stage. I cannot wait. And I'm really buzzing to be able to take to the decks myself on the Thursday night. I'll be doing a DJ set as well. So I cannot wait to spin you some selections from the BBC Introducing upcoming.

I'm going to stick right now with some more artists that are playing on the BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury. The next one that I'm going to bring you is from Jasmine Forti. If you're a fan of Lucy Dacus, then you might have spotted that Jasmine Forti is the support for her UK tour, which is coming up in a couple of weeks, as far as I'm aware. And wow, what a

She knows how to pick holes in your heart and then stitch them back together and I'm so, so ready to see how she's going to hold the audience in the palm of her hand at this year's Glastonbury Festival. And I cannot wait to see the fierce live performer energy that she is going to bring. And we're going to go back to some more of the BBC Introducing artists playing at Glastonbury this year very shortly. But first, I wanted to bring you this example.

Wicked selection from the Six Music uploader this week. It's an artist called Blenko and it's called Don't Want The Party To Stop. I reckon that after that, we might need to catch our breath a little bit. And I know just the artist that's going to help you breathe into relaxation. The next artist I'm about to bring you is someone that I feel particularly close to in terms of their music.

because I've been lucky enough to support them on BBC Introducing in Scotland for a while. However, if you are a regular Six Music listener, you'll probably know their name by now too. They are called Jacob Alon and their debut album called In Limerence has just come out. But before the album was released, then Jacob had already made it in for a live session on Six Music with Hugh Stephens, had already performed on Jules Holland around Christmas time.

They are such a phenomenal talent and anybody who interacts with them or listens to their music can hear that. So it was such a pleasure for me to get to announce to Jacob that they were performing on the

BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury and I honestly don't think I've ever heard an artist be so overwhelmed with happiness at receiving news like that. So every time that I think about telling Jacob that they would be performing, I get this massive smile on my face and I cannot recommend enough that you come down and catch Jacob at this year's festival if you're going because wow, what an artist they are.
