I want you to see how filthy and disgusting this is. What Elon Musk and Doge and Trump have done is absolutely unthinkable. I want you to listen to this clip. I'm Eric Rodriguez. I'm a disabled Iraq war veteran. A VA worker, a proud SEIU union steward representing Illinois. I proudly serve my country. Now I proudly serve my fellow veterans.

All right, so that's a veteran who served this country. They should be treated well by the government, the people that they fought for, the people that they gave up their lives for and gave up their families for. They should be treated well, right? But right now, the Trump administration is trying to cut the VA, throw away workers and let billionaires steal our health care. You can't cut the VA, man. That's a lifeline for so many people, not just with health care, but mental health care. You can't do it. Veterans, we are under attack.

Last week, 1,400 workers got fired illegally. 22 of them were my colleagues at Heinz VA Hospital. Some of them didn't even get a real notice. You got to give them a notice. You got to give them a little bit of notice. Give them a chance to regroup and get their lives back. Because you can't just fire somebody. That doesn't make any sense, especially a veteran or numerous veterans, thousand veterans. That's dirty. That's disgusting. All we got was this.

An email with X's where the date should be is mundane. So, an anonymous email with no date. Scum. That is scummy. I've been in situations like this before, where they do these kind of things, and I know those people, and they're scumbags. Poor guy. That's how little they think of people and our veterans in this country. Yep. They serve our country. They're slashing staff, crushing unions, and selling out the VA for what? Poor guy.

So billionaires can make more money while veterans sit on a wait list. Worse, they'll get no treatment. Listen, one of my relatives is a veteran and they were on wait lists for procedures for months because the VAs are so understaffed and there's so little of them. They got to treat the veterans better. You know this. I don't know why they're firing people from the VA. The people that are helping other veterans, that's scum.

Our president was asleep while Musk was at the wheel. Do you know what happens to a serviceman when they fall asleep when they're on duty? Bad things. Veterans don't trust him. He's not one of us. He's not. He never... He's not a veteran. Either of them. We're not about to sit back and take the SEIU. We're fighting back. That's important. They're fighting back. They know how to fight. Don't mess with them, dude. We're organizing and we're taking action. That's what they should do. We're not going to back down. Amen. Yes.

I'm a Southside Chicago. We stand on business. It's time for you to do the same. We've done our duty. They've done their duty. They should be taken care of 100%, whatever they need. They should be taken care of. No questions asked. That's such a scummy thing to do. Now we're asking the administration and Republicans to do theirs. You serve this country. We know how to take it. Take the fight to them. They've got to. They've got to fight them.

They've got to fight them in court. They have to fight them and they have to fight for their jobs back. And they also have to fight so the VA can be funded properly. So all of these veterans can get the care that's necessary. Because when you come back from serving, you're not the same person. You're a changed person and you need help sometimes. And these people might need help. And now there's 1,400 or more veterans.

employees at the VA that are gone that can't help people. And that's just a scumbag move, man. What a loser. And we know how to win. Thank you. All right. So I think I know what you're thinking right now.

The sky's going through a lot. And of course he should fight back. They should all fight back. They should lawyer up and do whatever they can to fight this as fast as possible. Get their jobs back, get their livelihoods back. It's not like these people don't have families. They have families, they have kids, they have a mortgage, they have car payments, they have insurance payments, all those things that were taken care of because of the job that they had at the VA.

that's gone. What are they going to do? They're going to go for unemployment for a little while. Yeah, sure. They can get unemployment, but that only lasts for so long and it's not a lot of money. I mean, think about if you have a mortgage payment right now, how much money is that? Also add onto that your vehicle note, your insurance, food is super expensive right now.

It's just it's insurmountable. They should not have done this. This is a scumbag move and They should not have cut the VA no matter what doge thinks. I mean, I I don't I don't care about how effective They think they are coming at the VA with the chainsaw. You don't touch the VA you don't touch those security Those are two things that you don't touch especially the VA. I

Don't mess with the people that allow you to be free in this country. Do not do that. This guy's got a point when he was talking about, he was holding up his paper and it's just a faceless number, right? This is, he's not a person according to Doge and according to Elon Musk and according to those that have fired him, he's not a person.

He got fired because he was excess. It's the number, just a number. It doesn't want to be a number. He wants to be a person again. It's not the military anymore. He's part of the group of veterans that come back from serving to keep you and me free. And this guy, all he wants is to be treated as equal as everybody else.

Doesn't just want to be fired by some nameless, faceless bureaucrat or from Doge. Who would want that? This poor guy, man. 1,400 workers got fired. That's so many people. And recently, is it all these people that they fire? They don't have the money to spend in the economy because the money that they would put into the economy would pay taxes and would pay for goods and services. That money is in their pockets now. So it's not being given to other people so they can give to other people and keep the economy propped up.

That's not happening anymore because not just 1400 VA workers, but thousands of workers across all America, government workers, government, federal employees are being let go by Doge. So these people have a right. Eric has it right here. They're going to fight back. We should all fight back. We should all tell them what we think, because this is a scumbag move and they should have never messed with veterans.
