Why did the hosts think it was tacky to charge friends for staying at their guest room?

Charging friends for staying in a guest room is considered tacky because it goes against the spirit of hospitality and generosity, which is expected among friends.

Why did the mom charging other moms for snacks at playdates receive backlash?

The mom received backlash because charging for snacks at playdates is seen as an unreasonable and unnecessary expectation, especially among friends who should share the cost or provide snacks without expecting payment.

Why is it considered a financial faux pas to split the bill equally when dining out with friends who ordered more expensive items?

It is considered a financial faux pas because it is unfair to those who ordered less expensive items to pay the same amount as those who ordered more. It's better to split the bill based on what each person ordered.

Creating financial margins through budgeting is important because it allows you to handle unexpected expenses and be generous when needed, reducing financial stress and avoiding awkward financial situations with friends.

Hey, guys, is Rachel. Cyber monday is here and we've got some awesome deals going on right now. So head to rain these solutions dark comes last store to check them out before they're gone.

Hey, guys, i'm Rachel George, and this is smart money half hour.

cheers.

Oh, wonderful.

That will cure almost anything.

Well, this is the show. We're two friends who happening. Many experts talk about what you're talking about. So everything from our culture, currents and money .

and we're kicking off today's episode with a public debate yes.

is not political. So don't worry, you guys don't get scared off. But IT is crazy and IT has to do with George. That's all say I .

don't pint IT on me okay. Well before we get to that.

what are we sit in on actual um we've got a .

division bell. You can taste the so .

that's body actually the cocktail name fits really actually think .

of all the things in the episode will agree that this is a good drink, so so sticky and to the end will give you the cost per glass, will give you rating in the recipe, is in the shown notes.

okay. So this all started when I heard about something that would went on at me. A who is Georgeous daughter, uly, Georgeous .

daughters .

birthday. But you said that you did something at this part. You explains .

the people and is, and I thought .

IT was a joke and I was like, that funny, George, or you did IT as a joke and then I learned later on that afternoon that like, no, no, he did this. Like, I was being serious about IT and I was like, oh my god.

George can well, you are tacky. So tag, this is an episode about financial full pause. And apparently I committed one big one while just trying to prepare for my daughter's future. I got a noble way to be taking of friends.

Okay.

here's what happens. And this is a you like.

I think this was like, George.

you got is i'm tired of crap and babies just get a lot of stuff and people think, I bet they want more stuff. And so we keep getting stuff. And so I thought for the party, which, by the way, was just family and close friends, I decided.

Close friends, a clear to beyond clear, I wanted nothing to do with the invite list, and I was just like in via best girlfriends. I don't want, I don't have friends. I don't guys don't want to go to first birthday parties.

Can we just say.

so anyways, I decided, you know what, instead of making ever, like, hey, bring a gift, bring more stuff. What if I did a little Q R code? And if you so chose, you could give to her future college fund? So I made cute.

He was really cute, IT said, like cow girls blood blood support, cow girl's college fun, the Q R code to go again and donate directly to the fund. This was not like my then know, so I then posted on social media. I can post the picture as a joke. Like when you're you give people financial advice and you're the girl that whatever as a funny joke, then people thought, wow, he's solicit in donations from social media now .

so they .

thought I was tacky, that I was on social trying to get money from my daughter's college fund.

IT was not your tent of that.

not the intent. IT was just be a funny joke. Like, this is classic George behavior that I made all the gift. Georges, like, hey, you could donate to the college fund because IT at a cal percent rate of return IT, it'll turn IT know earning out.

But you like, it's funny that you would do that because you would just do that because it's funny, not because you .

were serious though. And to be fair, not a single person don't to the college fund. So but I did get really good at canvas. I got, I became an expert in canvas.

just making good. Are you expecting people to donate?

I didn't. But if that was me, I would personally rather give to my friend's kids college fun than to, like, buy them. Another thing that will likely be thrown away.

a return. Did they know this was an option?

No, IT was the last minute thing.

So he was like that on you, came to you, came to the party. If you happen to want to donate here after you buy a gifts.

here's this two pretty much. Again, hill mary. But Rachel thought, I cannot believe you did that.

I and so we decided to do a whole episode on other financial for pause. That's how we got here. So I want to know the comments in my wrong.

And we pulled you guys on social .

media to share more real life funding to dilema and po pause with friends and finances. And so today we're going to hear your case as the judge and jury. We're going to share our thoughts. And if Q, R, C gate is a any indication this might, there might be some friendly debate .

among gradual night. Yeah, be good before I ve. Do you have any just social peace that come to mind?

Oh, like financial file pause. I think that like you've said this, but the nit picking of like a vmail like what was four dollars and twenty eight cents per ga like among friends, you know, I don't like the .

lecture for sure, under fifteen in my book about IT. And then you could go little hired to if you want, but like, yeah, like goto covered. Don't worry, I rabb the coffee or whatever.

You know, there was one that really granted my gears and it's not from a person, it's from a place. But I got IT to go order from one of my favorite ger places yeah and they started a Mandatory tip on to go orders, which I was like, okay, fine. I get they're putting a lot of work into this.

They want to chart now went from a ten percent and toy tip to a fifteen percent automatic activity on a takeout order. I grabbed the bag and I leave. And if this is a little bit over the top, you to force my hand into a fifteen percent tip for showing up to your restaurant, grabbing in order no one waited on the .

fifteen twenty percent is when you someone like weight on you for an hour and more drinks and brings you food, enjoys the meal actually yeah so I that .

one was a real gear grinder for me, a financial pop, small business owners.

Okay, how about this one electric car friend to elective car friend? This maybe not be. We went stay at a place and he was like this, like resort kind of IT was nice in every hotel that we've stayed in. We will take the tesler like we went to meet this for weddings. We took the tesla like.

we'll take the .

tesla like a shorter yeah yeah and ours and almost every hotel or place we've been though, like they have charging stations in the parking lot. This one .

was a pay, oh yeah.

pay for IT. I know when I just thought, really like you .

was making money, the hotel is IT like.

no.

he was like a company.

The change point, yeah, yeah, yeah. I like a man hotel. You could like, I don't know. I thought about .

that recently to here are of the listener submissions, marathi said, drove to Flora with a friend six hundred miles round trip, but they never offered to pay for gas. Tacky tag. Now, one are of the context, like they drove in apparently hurt car. SHE was driving, I assume, and six .

hundred miles, I mean.

yeah, was the trip for her with helping her move. You mean, I need to know the context in which they decided to go through.

like today.

I prefer wish bone get to the body in this case, or marriage nally solving any crime by dinner .

time yeah you're very, very, very right.

So yeah, overall popa without knowing any more context.

And we got a large demand, he said, bought an air fire from a coworker, and he charged me extra five dollars just for bringing IT into work for me.

What like a delivery fee, if any days? Like.

thank you for taking my air fire and buying IT for me.

My guess is the next thing was, like, turn around the phone. Like cage can ask a few questions asking for the tip on this air.

Oh my god, I don't .

understand that. Did you explain IT must say, hey, I would be extra five box since I brought IT versus you driving to me and picking this up, you're going to work anyways.

Same place. Yeah that's that's cheap. That's cheap.

Er right, don't love that one. Here's one from cala panel, forgot to bring a brighter shower gift. Two days later, he called me asking where I dropped off .

my card home.

Man, this is giving some bride ziller. Mckinsey, y energy with A G you know, you know the type.

Oh, mckinsey.

calm down. There's a lot going on here, so you forget to bring the gift.

okay. Now my question would be.

did you actually .

have can I go to africa? What if cala said, oh, should I forgot the gift? And so so i'll drop IT off later, right? And like makes drop .

off the card .

and then so if someone says that to me and then I don't see if I could see a day where you're like, oh, I want to make sure like .

I didn't lose that.

I don't yeah that is in like like, like blown away if you looked at the front door .

or like did you I don't know .

you were the match of kinds. They're could there be that you know what I will do? I will follow up on gifts nowaday, which is so great.

Thank you. Technology that like you can ship gifts to people directly. yeah. So like for weddings or baby showers. And I do that a lot now.

And if I don't hear from them, it's not that I need to thank you. But I do follow up like a week later on. My kid did did IT calm like I want to make sure you got a paid for IT make sure you actually got the gift. I will do a follow up text not looking for a thank you but it's just .

what is your this is another built in financial full power. Do you feel like it's a full power to not send a thank you after getting a gift for a, you know, baby shower brito birthday?

I written cards, I don't like get one and like, oh, thank god they wrote me a car. Like, I like, oh, that's nice. I don't.

I very like neutral to once in first fights. Did you know this? We were married for eight days or whatever we were, and IT was january duck hunting season or whatever was.

And well, and cause I probably had a little show, and you like my head, like I have to try out these thank cards for our wedding and we a big wedding. Not that I was invited. I was like.

Didn't know you, George, fifteen years ago, and I remember really like a much because they think you carts out and my gosh, ash and like, I was very overwhelmed and I am rebuilding this. Will you help me? And he was like, oh, carson.

about me to go to kind, you know.

was like, why? And I like, is this marriage is going to do my house, do everything? Oh yeah, yes, I was like, I was like a first.

Like, how do we you know, if you like like, no dad. God, I was like Rachel cheese. I felt like this made up expectation of a time. My number one, IT never to go home. And like that, I would be a difference.

You choose duck hunting over writing. Thank you.

I know. right.

Wow.

glad that the two weeks in may, I don't know what is second guys.

everything. I'm glad you guys have made IT fifteen years now. congrats. Thank you. Thank you. Despite the incident.

So yeah, I thank you. Cards in a terrible at them. I'll say that in my kids I make the list of the birthday parties of who brought a gift. And do we send out thinking cards off at this?

I just think a text is enough. I K thanks so much for the gift. Love seeing you. Me too. Maybe say, with the gift is that you wanted go extra IT, but like writing a letter and .

mAiling and maybe a wedding, do you feel like a wedding in a shower maybe is a different level.

There's a formality with weddings that feel like.

is there something there are .

years one from delete me rocks twenty twenty four. This company only charges me nine dollars a month to save me hours of time, and potentially thousands protecting me from internet scams.

Well, that sounds like I .

actually great friends. And this is clearly a plant. Dm, it's great though.

Delete me all is a fabulous service where you go and you fill out your profile so you go and you give them some information and then they scour the internet and find your home address. Phone numbers are old addresses even like like they will be .

related to all around .

the internet and take your information off. And IT is so great because it'll be honest today in twenty twenty four. And our information everywhere on in the internet, there's building up different four more years than ever.

So protect yourself from the risks of all of that with our friends. Delete me and they're giving our listeners a great discount, twenty percent off any of their plans. When you go to join, delete me dot com slash smart money, you'll get twenty percent off.

And the planes are super affordable. I have weirdly, was in my report the other day just for fun. I was like, yeah where my ad to sometime if you goole your information people, you will find out you are on way more of the internet.

You think you can dress your phone number? It's out there. Don't like IT and it's reduce spam for me. I don't get like I used to get all these spam calls and text. Yes, and so good.

I ve IT yeah, amazing. Check IT out. All right.

Here's another submission from nyota. My friend offered her guest room to me while I was in town. Charged me fifteen dollars per night plus an energy billfinger venne.

Yeah, who are these people?

real?

Keep like fifteen .

per night is almost I don't even why even do IT why?

No.

how many nice where you were you there for a month is said why you are in town, we don't know how long.

Oh my god, I could not.

I could imagine, but the not find that I am .

my friends of those people. Like that's terrible. If we went saved with people, we did that we recent and save with some friends of. Then notice for people say at our house, I like no doing wow.

I cannot imagine charging friends when they stay like if you're gonna vite someone over IT like, hey, just stay at our place, do not charge the money.

Yeah, we don't need that about this. Kd press says i've heard moms charging other moms after play dates because their kids ates some of the family snacks. This actually went viral on, I say, instagram, you may say tiktok, I W tiktok .

side a months later on instagram and think you're Better than us tiktok ers.

and yeah, in this mom was the one charging people and they can. We just Normal ize like charging is like all the supplies and the snacks and all of this. And I was like, oh my gosh, what is this like?

I would just send my daughter with all the supplies you .

needed and say, I don't take anything from these people to do anything. Anything can use anything.

They're going to charge for that too. Mean, that's over.

What is the mom's our moms .

that I feel like there are really in mom's are that head out there? Like I understand if they're onna, go do an adventure. Hey, we're going to him to checker cheese. great. I'm going to give her yeah .

that's that's right. Yeah yeah. If you're going out somewhere and there's like an admission, a movie or something for sure and what if your .

kids are going over your friend's house and it's like, hey, we're getting a bunch of pizzas and hey, I love like chip and you know I .

don't chip in for pizza yeah and no one shipped in for me I getting that's that's a unspoken rule you have friends when .

they are over will cover IT when yeah that is funny though because .

then like i'll take a venture girls like sonic or something after school with that and like the moms of the mommy, I didn't ask. I don't I don't ask for IT, but they will but people don't do pizza. So I that's an interesting.

I think, thinking about my own child. Hod, because I was always over a friends houses and we eat whatever, and I don't think there was any money exchanged .

money though I had denies my sister over and her family and we we ordered mantrip za to our house and staff and danny spent moment after .

for the beach Dennis for the pizza.

I know I was like, I mean, anything just more conscious of that, yes, stuff.

I guess it's more for them if if that's what they want to do. sure. And fine. It's not gonna urt you like, it's not what you don't ask for.

IT IT was almost like a generositas. Yeah yes.

So said our church friends stopped talking to when we would buy an ml m product from them. good. You think .

they were friends?

This was all a leader to get you to buy the product. They don't actually like you.

Probably I like l ms. Have died up because I just don't hear about them as much more.

I think people caught on to IT and some of them i've gone under. I mean, beauty counter had a pretty blow up. And so all, all the people in the downside lost their income and type ware just filed .

bankrupcy beauty cars done.

They I don't think they're coming back. I think they're like, hey, we're going to just disappear for a little while. And I think people kind of see the writing on the wall.

I'm not indeed like M, L, M. Scope community. Sure someone can prove me wrong. That is coming back with their engines.

And I think all emms have thought I was almost like a trend and it's hopefully dying out. Some will stick around. Sure, the ones with Better products and services will stick around.

But overall, and they start talking to you because you didn't but me says .

this was not a true friendship. Any true friendship that ends because you didn't buy a thing is not a friendship. IT was transaction that, and they faked IT really well.

Up until then, we got some Martinez, and he says, if you got to dinner booked at a bo, everyone offers wine, but you're over. You shouldn't have to split the bill, right?

This one goes back to my thing of like everyone gets the apps in the drinks and I got one thing in the water. I feel like it's not fair to then charge me the same. Yes, I would not agree. Don't put that socialism on me. So no, I think .

all equal, because IT is family style. So IT sound like everyone is their own .

individual on tray. Wow, look at you defending books at a apple, their defense. It's a family style. Yes, you don't IT .

sound like, oh, i'm ordering my you salad and water here. IT is a shared that that is a harder restaurant to divide checks agreed.

But also it's I get that it's a lot of work to get like the waiter or to split IT. But it's also they're used to IT, so I don't buy when someone like it's just easy to just do IT altogether so the waiter doesn't have to and if the wait comes over, one big bill I got, hey, I know it's a pain. Do you mind splitting IT up and they go, okay, and they go to split that up. But I think calling IT out like, hey, if you guys are going to get alcohol, would you mind if i'm just on a separate tab.

just calling, okay, because I would say the appetizer, I would say the the alcohol is for sure the difference because that is expensive, right? And if you get especially .

intensity because there's a legal tax, did you know this eighteen, eighteen percent on top of everything else, on top of your Normal tax.

on top of tip, we don't have income tax. They get that's how places. But if there is like a spanish dip in the middle of table.

I mean, you're gonna get a bike.

I don't know. I don't know. right?

That's a good. What do you think about people who this happens to me often, someone who sneaks up and gets the way of their car and sneaky ly pays for the table is great. No, proposer, is there a good way to do IT is a bad .

way to do IT. I give you the one like paying for the dinner yeah I mean, I would just tell the way to, hey, it's always the million cheh yeah will do that. And then i'll say this on the end of like wanting to be generous. This just happened like last week and it's a get we will treat them and then the people that fight IT no, put t IT split IT. I split IT if I get IT, but I don't know.

Yeah that's a very also of coming from the the east and culture that every single time, like the dads of the table are fighting no.

no, yes.

my okay. We just be done with this charade.

Totally, totally.

totally. Yep, but my brother is the, he is the king of, i'm going, he's going to sneakily get he did that yesterday. He was and we're with a big group and he's am I how do do you even get your car to the waiter? Like I didn't see you get up. It's like a magic trick is a David.

I think that people.

But he is very generous.

Yeah and I think people that's like they are .

like they are level yes.

what they do yeah .

I love about that. I'm not a good gift giver. We ve talked about this. Neither the I thought, perfect. So if you are looking for a good gift this holiday season, and you've gotta check out kazi earth, one of the .

sponsors of today's episode. Yes, of my gosh, this company guys, i've been wearing the madama, but where in the dog has been sleeping in the sheet? We have the blankets, everything, and IT is fantastic. The quality and the material IT is IT is what you need for this fall, this winter of the spring. IT is through the best.

absolutely. Whitney was just telling me he has the coastal earth pjs in navy. Now she's like, I really want the ones that come in Brown, I was like, is this a hint? Because I love this shopping less you given me, because so much easier.

And we have a code which you get to save some money.

make you happy. I love a code. Honestly, I feel like if i'm not getting a code, i'm getting ripped off.

And kaya has been very generous with our listeners. If you go to this website like cozy earth dot com slash smart money, you'll get forty percent off. That's incredible. Do not miss this and that's code smart money if you're just on the website, you can use code smart money and check out and if you get a post purchase survey, be sure i'll let them know that you're heard about coast's .

earth on this show .

love it's of its like selves up in luxury .

this holiday season that big for blinked though game danger, something else great. It's very, very nice. All right. Next Nicolete go, go.

go.

go on. He said, my friend always gives me extra vacant birth day and Christmas gifts, but I can afford to do the same for her. No file power here.

but I do think some communication might be helpful. This relationship, I don't think here's the thing, when people give extraversion fts, I don't think they expect the same level of extravagance in return. I think they're just naturally gift givers, yes.

But in our minds, we go I need to return the fate. Now I got to get them a really nice gift. And the truth is, if you get them, whatever you want to get them, it's going to be great. Yes, that's right.

And are, be honest, to get birthday gift from other friends as an adult is always shocking to me.

I get some orders to cancel. Never.

I feel feel that though, like, I went out to lunch with a match of my girlfriend for my birthday and like two of them brought me a gift. And I like, I just don't T I do not expect that true.

I have maybe one or two friends that still want to do like bird is really nice. exactly.

I accept IT with is very fun.

but I think I rather do like we're going out to this means an restaurant, come join us from everyday, kind of just see six eighteen .

says my work friend says I still to twenty five dollars for a group gift that you put together for our boss but I never agreed to that.

I will say group gifts are the pain of my existence and we've done them here so it's not like .

I know what happens a lot.

So traditional adequate says that you never given up at work. So like giving you your boss a gift that's she's traditional adequate. Not saying he doesn't happen, not saying it's not okay, but just the proper a way to do IT is peers or people that are like kind down maybe your team members, yeah, yeah, yeah you know, a leader gets give for their team versus a team member getting a little gift for the letter.

that sense.

But a lot of fan of group gives words like, hey, we're all going in here's what you oh I I don't like that not a fan I do IT because i'm just like whatever I will assist late not be the quickly wheel who's like i'm not doing IT on principle just .

it's fine yeah yeah yeah see group gifts for me because I think what teacher gifts here at work, there's some miles that happen and it's more convenience for me to just spect .

someone else is dealing with that. They've thought of IT there for you. I can send a mound done. That's fair. So you think they're you're happy to pay .

because of the convenience? I think so. Yeah ah and I don't think it's with people that are outside of like a situation that I might why would I get them like gift because like I don't even talk to that or whatever. You know there's usually and the group gift.

just someone make a clear no one has ever gotten me group gift.

Make sort of them more and get some money after the shoot. George.

this is a good one. Barber b got invited to a holiday party and was asked to venture my portion.

what? Just bar bar bush? We don't know. I could be.

That sounds like something he would get herself self into, unless it's a casual public style. This is the question, should the host cover everything of the hosting a dinner party? Or is IT okay? Say, hey, are you guys cool chipping in?

Thank you, your cattle and food. I think IT text could be like, we're going to bring in this.

What if I buy for laman yang stakes from the grocery .

store that feels cheaper to me for some reason? I don't know why.

Wow.

I don't know why someone's cooking sake and you are like.

yeah depends on the experience yeah our friend maxo logic, Michael sh. He throws his very elaborate ate were talking swag in catering. And so there is a ticket fee like I go on, he makes up like a full event registration and you pay a because IT covers IT helps cover the costly it's of money making scheme.

They're not making money at all, but it's a very expensive thing to put off. Yes, there are thousands of dollars. So that's the only time I think that makes sense to pay a fee to part. But if it's just like our .

friends and someones like how your Christmas party we all please come and then they ask you.

I try to bring a gift like that, maybe a boat or .

yeah if you .

say here's anything I can bring and is .

a nice thing to ask heal again .

on George driver on the .

same I cannot wait .

for you to read this next one .

oh my gosh. Is this real as as bal galas and remi, my sister and law SHE answered this so when you are ramsey and someone goes to pay for something that is like, oh, so sorry about my credit card.

the apologetic nature happens, have a non rent.

Like they always point IT out.

Do you deal with that with your friends? yes.

Like if we all throw our cards .

in .

and one's like, sorry, right? Like put on the capital but in the points and then before people really .

like corned me friends like not really like you have a credit card, right? Like this is my entire wallet is just a license in a debit card yeah and their shocked it's like a magic .

trick no yeah no. Me, George.

you don't .

get nothing. Our good friends won't do that anymore. But like if we don't really know the couple, they're like they think it's a joke. Like very funny. I ever grow up going out to dinner th moment that and the waiter, this happened a lot .

hope this is an a stop SHE just walk right past me and said, hope you paying cash for that and I was like, yep, kept walk in a separate.

accountable public. Thank you. Thank you.

alright. This one comes from isag ford. I believe that a friend of part, yes, one of my high school body, sends his child's support via vo every month for the world to see, sometimes as labeled passive aggressively, like didn't have to be this way. Wow, is that a first place?

That's funny. That's really funny. I see more .

humor in IT than I see phoonghi.

That's fine. I might have .

to be this to .

be this way.

It's such a dark joke, but i'm here for IT.

Oh, my G I think people putting .

anything publicly on the my vmu was set to private for everything.

not a single .

payment that might I think people should know about this one.

You know, I don't even know. How do you know .

that is I need check A V. I have to know .

it'll be a little .

luck next to the transaction.

Luck, luck look, luck, luck, luck. I am, I, I am zipped up.

It's an easy setting got I do like my only social media that I really enjoy is the vmu transaction feed. It's amazing you will .

keep IT ably yeah .

and they're like you're deferred. What happened? Yeah I tell myself the story of what I think is being paid.

S are like cypher .

words of my what happened here? What does this really mean? That's good. okay. Oh my god, all the submissions, which one really stuck with you?

I'd say .

guestroom charge .

to say someone, I mean the hospitality. I'm reading a john mark comerford right now and like part of its about hospitality and that just goes in the face of like just be a good person and like open open your hands in your life to people and like that's terrible. I'm going to say that .

that's a really good one. I'm going to go with the area fire delivery feet. That one I think is actually creative in pet, which I appreciate the creativity you're going to charge someone to feed to just to bring IT to work where they already go every day.

That's that's sad and just for fun because we've been a while since we have role played and people loved rick in the boats situation, we have one less listener submission that we're going to act out. So here's what a Jennifer sentence I do freely and photography on the side. And people always ask if I can, quote, take a few picks free of charge.

This conversation never gets easier. How do I tell them this is my work and I deserve to be paid for IT. So you're going to be the frugal francy. I'm going to be the socially unaware friend's slash customer. Jane girl, oh my god, and I saw that you .

all are going .

to so .

great.

I know you will say there with your family. Is there anyway like we should like meet up, maybe for drinks, and we can describe a few like family pics, if you don't mind. Just like, just kind of a quick, like, real quick free, like, not a big shot.

I hope it's good. This is easy, but today you just turn myself, but I don't work. Complication, i'm so sorry.

Oh no, no girl. IT wouldn't be like, obviously you going to have your camera taking picture, your own family. Like we'll just like jump in for a quick pic, like quick pic all why against the june and like, just very, it'll be so fun we can hang.

I'll bring some drinks. It'll be a good time. Someone.

okay.

yes. awesome. You're the best. I just need your photos and like so good like I don't know what filter you're using or with your camera, but it's clearly not you.

It's the filter of the camera, my favorite dish to a photographer. You what camera do you use because your photos are so good? That's a tough one because I made IT. So like a it's like not even deal and basically getting you something. I think photographers .

get the short in the stake all the time. People, they are like starting photography business, like hate you going to come shoot couple of pictures with my family, it's been in our backyard is a big deal and you're like, no but IT takes so much time to I don't think people know the time and effort put them for .

one hundred percent. Can I say we did this yesterday with our our friend code. He did family picks and we pay him.

We don't expect anything for free. And I came in like, what? How much of you? And he was great.

So because I want to make sure that he knows, like, I respect his talent, his time, yes, and the fact that he would do this for us and what pay your friends I get like a is if you want to be like, hey, like i've done like like a, hey, you go like a friend discount, you know? yes. And usually the back will take out fifty books off whatever. I'm not trying to totally really like take him to the cleaners on this, but it's always a kind gesture to do for so that you failed.

Wow, you throughout the beach aspect was hard. The vacation went quick.

I mean, I be like, oh my gosh girl, like I would in law, I know.

So like I did a lot of ways to get out of IT, but if it's like I do my coming too, I think I think i'll be harder to say i'm going to charge you for IT then to say, oh gosh, the kid schedules crazy at a time like bright the excuse is more on the time and effort is sam point verses like I be paid for this? I mean.

yeah, I think a good friend wouldn't put you in that position and .

we're gonna really yes. Okay.

what's to take away here, right?

So listen, some expenses are uncontrollable, right? They're onna happen, which is why you, anna, create margin with your money because things are going to come up that you maybe like H I need to chip in on the gift that's coming or whatever IT maybe that you don't realized. And so having a budget is so key.

If you have not done a budget, guys, every dollar is the best total years you can actually do. A free budget will leave a link in the description, but make sure to do that because IT gives you piece of mind when things do come up that you're like, I do actually need to even more someone or pay for this thing. You have the margins .

and that gives you the margin to be generous if you just want to spontaneously cover IT and don't list it's not worth of relational transaction awkward tension, let's just cover IT be done. You can do that when you budget for IT.

Yeah i'd also say communicate right the road trips, stuff on here, dinners out like if there's a thing if you're on a high budget, you right? No, i'm not going to be paying for everyone's fully. Ys, right? I'm going to split a fly with her own, say IT a lot and be OK with and .

maybe don't plan to get for lain yang for everyone your party.

yes.

you know, make the decisions. And again, the communicating and setting the boundaries ahead of time is important. Don't do IT on the back .

and the blind side people.

because that's not fair to them.

That's on.

Are you guys almost the end of the episode? And we close out every .

episode .

with guilty as charged. And this is where our produce care are. Kelly gives us a new guilty to search ch question every week. And if we're guilty, we take a step. Kelly.

all right.

have you ever stocked someone on social media? And if so, did you ever get found out?

Oh, I got dark road quick.

Yes.

yes. Defines stocking. Like if I just go to the profile casually once in while considered a stock.

you at at, I did a deep stock on someone I didn't even know. You're right for this. So we were going on this trip, this was like a few years ago to the new place. And you can go on instagram where people tag photos of the place. You know I mean, like if they're somewhere and they like take .

a picture on a tag place cause I .

look at those more when we travel verses like what website show? Yes, because you get more of the real like, okay.

remember reality yes, and I just couldn't .

sleep all and we are going this place just like, good. I was up on instagram and I look at the tacks and there was this wedding like crazy .

over the top.

over the top wedding. And who are these people? Yeah, for about hour a half. I like one in the morning. I found out every, and I google like the industry, the dad and I like knew everything about this. I can stop.

I can stop. Yeah no, that's so a path level of manipulation rate.

I'm proud you got this is scared me for myself of wow.

what are you capable of? What kind of breaking bad situation can be fined itself?

Would people know about me? They like wise, older way. And right?

That's a good point. I'll have to talk tonight and see what I can find out.

And yeah, I did something that was my deeper, stocky and I went like in laws. But I mean, I knew everything about this.

Call me crazy. okay. I just realize, as you were saying, that i'm very guilty of this is so in our neighborhood and we're always like, what do they do?

Like how people always over their house, like nine m, ten P M people over here. I and I was like, we're like, SHE deepen an M L. I M like they always. And so I did some googling, yeah, way too deep. I had people, you know, I had a team .

figure out.

yeah. And I was the most boring as a guy of know i'm no further yeah to the truth yes but I know way too much about them my god know meta names. I know kids names. I know the dog and like this is I need to go to bed yeah too much and if you're wondering now I don't have hobbies, thanks for asking if .

you are a good socket online. There are some people in my life that if I was like, hey, we you find this person and they know how to do IT they were .

like the it's good skill to have, or a good .

one investigator.

Ww, right.

you can. Before I know I don't, I remember that one, but I do. And if I see them.

what if you be printer?

Well, no, I didn't. I SHE celebrity or no, can you? No, no, no, no, no, no hope just from software.

Just wanted, have a great wedding. cool. wow. Okay, let's talk about this drink. There was the division bill delicious who finished your closer rating.

I'm going out ten .

out of ten. You cannot improve on this drink. This drink was so good.

It's only two dollars and eighty three. It's got mess cow. Marissa core, oh, lime and April.

it's like, really easy.

Yeah, I baLance well, remaining complex. Just what I look for in a cocktail so good you can find the recipe, the shows, notes. I highly suggest you give me a try this weekend if that's what are .
