The good news and bad news about money. Here's Robert ka. Ki.
hello, hello, Robert. Show the goods news and bad news about the future. The question is, what's the future I look like for you? So today we're gonna talking about real financial education. Not that be, as the financial planners teach you, you say, but I can get out of death, that's definite what we do not do and we don't pay taxes either, but it's financial education and the comments can yeah well.
the question that we always ask us, why does why do the schools not teach you anything about money and they still don't. And it's really up to the parents and and relatives and families to teach about money. But the problem is the families don't know to think about money.
So we're going to talk today about how families can learn about money, how kids can can learn about money. And IT can be fun and IT can be entertaining and IT doesn't have to be this numbers and all of this stuff, you can just be a really great way to learn. And when there's a dollar sign, I know for me, there's a dollar sign attached to IT. I'm really interested.
Yeah, I am more interested with a one with a dollar phone than one with a seven hind .
of IT new in school.
But I knew differently, one dollar and one cent. But I was a genius when I came to there. And the way my rich that taught me about money was very simple to work for him for free.
I was nine or ten years old, because if I pay you, you'll think like an employee. I once, you will think like an entrepreneur. My poor dad, the head of education, how I was an employee.
P, H, D, or are I helped and desperate. So when I, when I came home and I said to my dad, uh, my poor dad, i'm working for which that for free, he went ballistic. I want to sue him, you know, I mean, I D child labor when? No, it's all child education.
So I would wear from my rich dad for about forty five minutes an hour. You know, he'd have one of this, like his grounds keeper, take me around to sweep the floor and pick up rubbing. In accounting, I worked in marketing.
I work in changing beds and self like that, you know. And then in exchange, rich had to play monopoly, said, I like you teach me about money, I am. So he taught me playing monopoly, and find got fed up with them also playing monopoly, as I know what you just crack up because you can see you can you? no.
And nine or ten years, it's one of one of the greatest formulas for wealth is fun. At the sport game on up, i'm going, what is IT? He said, four Green houses, one red hotel. No one is that IT because that's IT.
So why am in school then? And so the hand so that my education really big and is a same as trump, his father and a multiple act rant mention being at nine or ten or at robby role boy collecting rent. I heard every B A excuse possible ble because IT was, he was.
I was a spatter. I guess he was a moment missioner e amping. He had a lot of excuses. I hate to laugh so much, but that's the fact, jack, you know, when you get into the real world, it's different. The school. So we talk about the cash flow board game and why came and I created on the twenty nineteen and ninety six.
ninety, ninety six, most people think that Richard dad port at the book came first. But actually the very, very first product of the rich, that company was the cash for board game. And and they came about very simply because in ninety four and one thousand nine hundred ninety four of Robert, I were financially free, and everybody kept asking us how we did IT because we didn't have we didn't sell business, we have millions of dollars, we didn't have a retirement plan. We didn't have any the tradition, no financial tools that most financial planners recommend.
no new funds, no mutual.
But we did have the lessons from your rich dad. Yeah, that's how we did that.
So this is what rich dad, poor dad, was about the financial statement. They don't teach this in school. This is income, expense, assets, liabilities.
And the mistake cares that my poor, that was always on the high paying job, you know, and this was my rich assets. Assets put money in your pocket, whether you are not. So this is what time? And I, we had businesses.
We had real state. We had no paper, no stock pose, mutual fund T F, and we had a lot of golden silver today. We have bit going. So that's all IT is I I, I wish I could say is harder than that.
But you know for twenty five box today, you can buy A A silver coin and are in the game you're in the asset call a bit quite little bit more expensive, but you can chunk you down as a thees anyway is so easy today unless you're doing the old thing, which is got to school to get a job or card, say money, get out of debt, pay taxes and even for a long term in a well diversified portfolio. Stax, about which refunds E T S, I don't do any of that. So that's the difference. So the cash flow game is to help you and your kids think like a rich person, think more about assets versus income and and that's .
how come we created the game because everybody kept asking us, how did we become financially free without all these other resources um and so we thought instead of talking about IT, let's put IT in a game. We love games. Let's make IT fun.
Let's make IT entertaining. And so people actually are learning. They don't even know they're learning.
They are learning while they're having fun. They then as as kids don't have break breakfast pads on their brains, you know, their parents, when they play cash flow, the break .
Price are.
So we have, we have a rich of advice, and ten, eight years and and twenty thousand and years have been teaching for us, teach all over the world. And your book is called stock market cash flow and four one k OS. I mean, you love the four one k plan, but that was important that you practice what you teach you. Actually you and your kids and your wife play cash flow, right? That's you teaching your .
boys that's exactly right. Uh, we played cash flow of uh, since they were able to really build to understand the game in the smallest way. And it's grown.
We have casual parties in our house and is a lot of fun, a lot interesting. I had a Young man just sunday come over twenty years old. He, he to money put away as dad, uh, you why don't? what? what? What should I do? This money says, go as tenner.
He seems to know about this stuff. I don't know. I crome room because he is going go home, and I am gone into that as fast as like.
I do that, but .
i'm you, your robber. We have had this conversion the other day, robots, some marine, and i'm kind of an vents. I kind of a preach in my nature.
the more stationary the heart. I told him I rather kill people and say their .
ves that people rather would rather and don't get the less that either way. But i'm quite advanced for the casual game. I tend to get emotional.
I talk about IT because you know where where here is very, very simple. Uh, we're here to elevate the financial well being of humankind. That's everybody, every person, regardless where you right now, where you come from.
And I really believe that the best way that that context you have starts, that minds stuff you have start is through this tool of the cash flow game. And we can talk about why I think that is. But in short, yeah, we played at a lot and i'll be excited to share with you how to impacted my kids and my family and our friends. And spiny.
yeah I want more thing is that a you know like andy is expert on paper, not against paper. I just don't touch IT. The reason.
The reason is kirman. I make more money on the business and real stateside. And we use debt a lot because of real statement. Now we're not saying you should follow us. The purpose of the cash flow me is find out what works best for you if it's dox positive funds and E, T S, please do IT. One more thing that i'm cautious about that is expert, that is that we make more money when the markets crash.
right?
You know and and right now, the sky was telling me I was, I was having an MRI of the hospital. The guys just guess what? I'm going to buy my first house. I'm going, I didn't know what to say. You know, every time the idiots are running into the market, I, I, I don't, I don't F M fear of missing out and I put IT by my house now i'm going, oh god.
and I can't say anything, could be an .
game star and you .
know and people talk about bitcoin, i'm going, I don't know the words the top did what I mean, but if everybody y's getting in, andy, what does that mean to you?
IT means a lot of smart people get now because, well, what's interesting is if he's buying that house, someone had to sell at tone. So every time someone's getting in, someone else is getting out.
And you can you can't teach that. No, you cannot teach the omentum of markets.
No.
no, that's for andy teachers. He is our expert on paper. You know he gets very excited when markets crash because it's going to make more money there.
You can excite when markets going up. Could you can make more money there? IT doesn't make any difference. Is that correct ending?
That's exactly what we teach. It's exactly here.
So when is when markets are high? You're selling naked calls or puts and all other stuff. You do I medicine, your jail for something, stuff you don't even know, but.
I don't know if I would want to be caught a naked any in any sense of work, but they don't know on the doing naked things. Why not going to be happy with what?
They don't need to know what that means.
No, there's a vocabulary which which really brings to the cash flow game is there's a vocabulary that people adult sentiment and like learn and IT begins with the financial statement, what is an asset.
what is a live link? But and do the real assets in your pain? Yes, I I think that I explained naked brought IT up naked IT means you're selling something you don't know, right? That's what the short guys .
we're doing with a camp p that's why the hedge funds got hurt about .
as they were naked and with democrats to do that. But I can but IT IT .
does come back to vocabulary. IT is coming back just to the game from omit. That's one of the keys. I mean, if we can talk about one of the first things you should do, what you can do if you want to learn about, learn about stocks and learn about is, I learn the vocabulary of money, and that's worth .
the game teaches about.
Yes, that's what I wanted talk about. So what? how? Because, because IT also brings up, you know, so many couples and families don't talk about money.
You play the game that brings up the conversation. You start having that conversation about money. So how does IT impacted and your kids and and mercy your wife and you as a family? And as as as the kids?
Well, Robert mentioned that kids have advantage was without without having the brake on, you know, uh, we we study, uh, bucker follering. And he says that kids are born genius, just the adults d genius size. I didn't know I was a word, but IT, we can.
A D G. I. So they're been very fortunate. I would say that they're not smarter than other kids. They're not no gifted.
All kids are gifted, right? They're not separate, but they've been around the risk of advice and casual game. And what it's taught them is the capitalism.
What IT really is, uh, if you take an evil person and make them a socialist to be bad, if you take an evil person, make him a capital still turn up bad and he said, he, my son said something interesting about the cash flow to the other day that blew my mind. He said, dad, it's kind like a service quigan. It's not only how you get cash flow, but it's how you serve.
It's how you choose to serve the world. You can serve one person who's a boss. You serve a handful of people as an s guy, doctor, lawyer. You can serve a whole bunch of people is a bee. But if you're all in buffett, you're serving coca cola around the world.
It's really yeah they .
think about IT in terms of the entrepreneur s job in the official job, say, how can I make this person's life Better at .
a cheaper IT is if you're evil, your evil, your honor, your honor and you are clock, you're at a clock.
right? To use your quarter youll. You'll suffer those consequences anyway.
You choose and and you mentioned buckminster fuller, which is one of his philosophy, one of his tenants that we've followed ever since i've known Robert is the more people we serve, the more effective we become. right? What you're sun is saying.
So now they see the world through. And here's the difference between monopoly and the cash game. Is monopoly yed on the board with a little car, and certainly elements of that in the cash game.
But the where the game is really played is on the financial statement. Robert was holding up. And so baby became very, very fluid and very, very comfortable with income, expenses, asset liabilities.
And to to leave the rat race in real life is to get a passive income that is greater than the expenses. And the cash flow game takes you through that journey in a simulation over and over and over again, you allowed to make mistakes. Uh, the context of mistake making is been huge because have learn, well, you know, if I screw up and I go make up, there's another game tomorrow.
I'm not hurt by making mistake. I'll learn from IT you apply what I learn next time and it's amazing how you know that how children is particularly i'm kind of advantages that way. A father that's that's that's my number of one goal is to be a good dad, right? Hopefully a rich one too, but a good dad.
And and and so the friends come and the the house becomes a place where we gather and play this game. And I I I had one where I said, okay ay everyone's to bring their parents. And you talk about those brake pad smoke. And Robert IT was incredible this, we have the kids on the floor playing the game, and then we have the parents sitting on the outside just observing. And IT was blowing the parents minds, watching their kids get rich and become smarter than they were in about two hours.
Um IT was there was a mind blower and then pretend that the hands were gone up on the parents and they're trying to coach and h it's something, I would say experience and play IT a few times and then you know but it's it's kind of, I imagine like when my wife is what is like that a child had no idea. You i've found of kids stone that's probably close, I don't know. But until you actually played the game, it's hard to be an advantage for IT.
We just encourage people to play IT because you, you, you can read books and you can listen to the tapes and audio s and go to speeches and lectures and youth and podcast, and you know all this, click, click, click all stuff. But if you just shut off your electronics, so can you shut him off for a while? You did bullet popcorn, get some pencils with bigger races on him and just just have some time as a family. As kim said, facilitating a conversation about money, which is not taboo o, is a healthy thing talking about.
So i'm come back. We were talking about to also console, sorry, millennial money expert here. But we're going going to talking more about when I played monopoly with my rich dad. You know what? I was engaging with my for intelligence, and we all have for intelligence.
And so what would be talking about this when I come back? But trouble here is the reason most poor people are poor because they don't have the financial vocabulary er in their head, they don't have financial literacy and second of all emotionally their constipated and need somebody called the K O pec tayer something because are so possible. The best talk, don't make mistakes, if you make mistakes are stupid.
IT stops all learning .
and stops all learning. So emotion of fear gets them. When the kids, the kids don't have this, the break pets are off and they're learning and it's physical learning. They're doing, doing, doing, doing, doing and then they're spirit source. I can do this and i've watch your sons.
I mean, oh, my got. We were in argentina .
with your boys and IT was like four thousand adults in the audience. And Younger sun David goes up there and explains infinite returns, how you don't need money to make money. And there was a hush, they came over the audience of all these old guys going possible.
What does this kid talking about? You don't make money to make money. That's financial and children, we are right back.
Are you worried about your financial stability and these unpretending times? If you are, the next minute could profoundly, in fact, your financial security, imagine something up, divide economy as pledge and ord o as drop. doch wap dotcom back lash path. Walk back to show the good news and bad news about money. today.
I we're talking about the future, how the future is very, very bright for some people, and we're actually a depression for everybody else right now. Mean, you cannot just keep printing trillions of dollars, raising taxes, crushing jobs. And artificial intelligence is coming along pretty soon.
You won't need a driver for your car because a carver drive by itself. That means three point five million truck drivers and uber drivers are a lot of work. So the idea of got us cooking a job or our cards say stock this, we're talking about the cash full of board game.
But more important, we're talking about why the games are important teachers, as, again, we have four in intelligence, mental, emotional, physical and spiritual. That's like, you want to learn to play the game of golf. I have all, that's right.
Basketball, the same thing, right ending. Yeah, you can just you just you can you read a book and play e LV? No, no. And if you are afraid of making mistakes and you learn to play.
make mistakes every hole.
so that those the differences here. So we can be talking about the forer intelligence we bandit tender. But we also have a Young woman who, no matter since he was this bag and her father, and are very good friends for mother I, good friends that we travel the world together as Alexander consul a SHE is millennium al money for the rich dad company.
Now she's turned into an asset for our company. I mean, SHE is SHE produced a lot of funny fruit through the social media, and she's fantastic, and she's learned a lot. So Alexander s, what was that like traveling to, let's say, argentina? There was four thousand people in the audience and and these two boys stood up. I don't know how. How are you David and zc think?
David was nine and zack was eleven.
That and i'm going to interact for one second because Alexander was brought up with cash ful for kids. Yeah, which is the kids version of the game, which is like ages six to twelve. And that's where he started. So that's how long ago yeah, you were part of the the rich and company.
So Alexander's mothers stood up there and explain how you took in eight plex. In florida, smarter investment have made today, especially, and SHE turned this into an infant at return. SHE has no money in the deal, but he is making cash flow after the animal game is called cash. So Alexander did that, her mother did that. And then David enacted up, and they explained, if a return, so to adults, what what was your experience of that?
Well, think you everybody came letting me on the show. And that experience for me was incredibly, I opening and very spiritual, like andy mentioned. And andy, you're doing an incredible job because I know your kids will be eternally grateful that you're teaching them and their friends because your circle is your wealth um and I know they've being credible. Great pool because I am with my parents and seeing David and zack being able to explain an infinite return when majority of the audience wouldn't even understand, was that when you truly realize that kids have no barriers, I mean, at that age, to learn to become rich and use wealth to your power and to serve more people is is beautiful.
But how was your mom? I hand moment, I have a love hate cap broker and I was tea s teaser for years broke her means your broker than me that's all of me now and after SHE emotionally calmed down a bit SHE got the message and now she's an invest 呀 um and like i've seen .
the changes and David and zack, i've seen the changes of myself and my father and my mother especially um she's been I mean her transformation has been incredible. SHE went from relying on her, on her paychecks, on her commissions to now creating her own wealth.
You remember the deal?
Yeah IT was we've been i've actually gone to visit IT a couple times to help with a grew modeling and stuff like that. It's an eight plex in fort large ll, and they're thinking about buying the one next to IT as well. I'm extended even more. Uh, but we've as a family have learned a lot from that project because we've all got .
ten involved because because the real thing ica yes.
and IT was IT was four unit was a four plex and next to IT, yes. And then they .
built for more unit, they for more. And now they're thinking .
about and this this is where your mom your mom was here yes, he wanted a commission. Ah that's what employees and sort employees do. They went the commission and I can to in her and your father for us take IT is take IT but then went her black home. SHE was looking at millions of dollars all those years, but he was blinded because SHE thinks like and has a sales person. You just say that was true.
One hundred person.
And now she's staring right .
now he is soaring. And now she's the one who's consistently tanging my dad to look for more investments, and she's one bringing the deal and he'll analyze them. But she's the one who, sorry.
who transformed. And you know, what I love to is you started with the cash ful for kids game, and then, of course, you played the other game. But you and your family, andy and your family, and I love when doing IT with the parents, and when you brought the other parents in, because hear these kids come, and they learn this game, and they learn this language, and they learn all these new concepts, and then they go home to their parents who do not understand what the hacks they're talking about. So to bring him together, where they're learning and getting on the same page together, I thought that was brilliant.
Trouble is, a parents still went to make us for a great job. They want, they want the kids to go back to school and get a job, become a doctoral lawyer and pay lot of taxes. And when I can't believe with the main parents in this .
rude so how how did that? What was the reaction, andy.
to the very uh um we the way we we play the game is will play a little bit and will take time to discuss what we've observed and to discuss what had happened.
Discussion is called what in school .
cheating?
Oh yeah.
looking on your neighbors .
paper but .
but the parents, I mean, we're all good friends, you know, i've coach their kids and and was .
so all kebby yeah.
that was so fun because I, I, I, I know they have great baseball aspirations and you sometimes you're limited vertically. Some people are and things, but there's no limits to what you can do is not to no, absolutely no, no boundaries. And the parents, extremely intelligent people, extremely positive.
And they were having the same shift. They were having the same shift. They were like, wow, we want to do this more.
We want to do this on a regular basis. Uh, they were more than than thrill to have their kids learning IT. Uh, they could feel, feel the magic of IT.
And i'll just tell you, you know, I I every time we talk about, you know, the experiences of my boys, I, I, I feel inside the emphasize that there is an illusion because, you know, like this, there's four thousand people in its inspanning h and all is going on to these two of kids. And IT seems out of place because IT is not Normal. But I have to tell you, uh, we're an average family.
My kids are average kids. They are not like it's not the very genius like all kids, all of them can do that all and and so you will be a misery or they made this no IT was the castle game. And the only reason he understood the concept of infant returns, he's played that game.
You know, so many times that IT becomes one like like an energy like integrated end of who they are. And so they can follow, you know, the advisers, you know, they understand garrett and tom and Kenny and blair, josh, lisa, they understand what those guys do and IT gives them a choice. You i've told my kids um you we we're bias tours the e in the eye as that's where we live in love.
But I told them the cash flow quarter is a choice. Uh, my son was brought in the world because of her fertility doctor. And if that guy wants to bring children in the world and I system, i'd be a pretty good feeling to have parents come with tears as every week to say thank you for the greatest gift that money could not buy.
Right is it's not a right wrong deal. It's but but I never me I never fit in as an e ever because stub n and I can't have a boss, I can't do IT. And so the frustration for me in school is E, E, E, E.
My parents, me teachers, told me. E, I didn't even know there was an s, let, a lot of. B, exactly.
so. And so now your halfway through my life, I learned to be in an eye. I'm like, I, I got to, I got to get my kids the opportunity. All I don't care which when they do, I just care that they have a choice.
yes.
yeah. point.
That game gives them that choice. I've just found that ninety nine percent like to choose in the being, in the eyes side.
the chAllenges. So .
look, if you could be an e the Brown James does relive, and you probably take that when you was pretty good.
Yeah, who who's lebron James? People don't .
play basket.
Is anyway, with financial education from the cash floor board game, you can anyone you want, yes, still be financially free, taking advantage of the biggest changes in world history. Alexa, that what does infinite mean to you in find returns .
being on the right side of the quarter and not having to work for money, having money worked for .
me means you don't need money. I want to understand that if you can understand that, that you never need money again. That's infinite. Andy, in in stocks, do you do infinite all the time?
Yeah, we do.
That's what you teach, right? yes. And the market going up.
can you go in for that? You can animals goes down, can be infinite. yes. So he doesn't .
make any difference. But the ever person's too F M ways to learn that. You know, that's what really, really, really bugs me.
You know, say, well, you know, I don't want to do real and well, do what and IT does well, you I know they're very easy. They want to become a dentist and pay taxes and look at people smiling miles all day. And oh my god, i'm glad my dentist does.
My god bless my dentist. I bless him. Every time I go in there, I wouldn't to do his job and glad he does his job, just like the guy that fixes my car. I'm glad he wants to fix my car because I don't know how to, but I also wanted to be a rich and these guys were not be rich because I can keep doing the same old thing. And that's what the cash flow board game was designed to do, was open up your mind that correct, alexandre.
exactly correcting what you guys were mentioning earlier about choices. I mean, that was my reality for me. For me, playing the the cash ful boardin was great when I was born.
And so growing up with this game and being going to play online with this artifact and having that mentality, when I go to school and they give you the option, do you want to become a doctor? Do you want to become a teacher? Do you wanna coming a lawyer? But you never get the choice of becoming a business .
owner or entrepreneur.
reit investor or maybe looking to looking into stocks. And so I went to school with that mentality. I don't want any of this specialist stuff. I want to create my own wealth and I want to help more people and serve more people like andy said. Um so having that mentality IT IT was thinks I think IT saved to me because to be stuck in a in a small little square, are you defined before you even get to define yourself and know who you are, would have ruined to me.
That's a great that's a great point because i'm lisa johann's daughter. He told the story when he was in school, and the the teacher had this great new exercise. And he said, you could be, you can choose a profession, you can be a doctor, you can be a Lorry, you can be a then, you can be the trash pick up.
You can be whatever you want to be and he says, her daughter, daughter says, hay says, I want to own the business. I want to own the business. And the teachers has, no, you can do that. You can do that. You have to pick A A job.
For example.
know that I am eternally group of for you guys and for the wealth of knowledge that you guys spread all over the worlds. IT wasn't for the cash full board game. I would not be here sitting here today.
Um remember when I moved here and ask if I was getting a paycheck or and um because I grew up with that mentality of just like working to learn and not to earn. And I seed in the conversations I have with my friends when they're talking about how much salary they're going to get or their bonuses are the first one case. And I like, that has never been a reality for me and nor would I ever want you to be. And so I think you guys for having my mind to be limitless, like the the options and choices are limit.
Just said that the world .
for a one, kay.
sorry. And and what you really think of that.
you know, how do I how do I get the robot by associations? Yeah, the word sock comes to mind first, oral cases. Sock, we can have another show on that, but they're just not don't give me going, they let's just keep a simple they thought, how about that?
What they're not designed to make the investor ate ever were. They're designed to make all street rich.
And it's it's the four one k in the U. S. Where is that in canada? Are R.
R S. alia?
So I went.
that ended. Thank you for being a great teacher. Thanks for an inspiring your two boys.
And I want think, Alexander, you know, thank your mother and father because they have ve done a great job with you and other sisters. And so that's the future. The future is extremely bright, but you got to let go of the break. pt.
