39 members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, the Iranian parliament, wrote a letter to the Supreme National Security Council demanding a revision of Iran's nuclear doctrine, and beg Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei of issuing a new fatwa, or religious edict, annulling the ban on production and use of the nuclear bomb. While this particular letter may be more theatrics than real, the regime is weakened and desperate.
