I'm your host, Nicole Bigley, and you are listening to a listener series on A Psychic Story. Hi, everyone. If this is your first episode of A Psychic Story, welcome. If you've been here before, welcome back. Occasionally for the listener episodes, we focus solely on questions submitted by you, and this is one of those. Can't wait to dive in. Scott, how are you? Very good. I love these questions. I'm excited, and I think the listeners will agree.

Yes, thanks for handpicking them. Okay, so let's jump in. Our first question is from Carol W. with the subject, Crying. I just started listening to your podcast, which introduced me to your book. Both are invaluable resources for me. I gleaned something from every episode I've listened to so far, and it's enlightening. I just started your section in the book. I think that's section three, amazing book, exactly what I was looking for.

I do have a question. Every time I try to meditate, I cry. Every single time. When I try to reflect on the direction I want to go, I cry. At first, I thought the tears confirmed I was on the right path, and I still think that could be, but the crying has become inconvenient and challenging to meditate. It's challenging to read. As a matter of fact, I tried to read your book, and I couldn't because I kept crying.

My husband, the brilliant man that he is, said to get the audiobook, and I did. And it's been fantastic. But I can't seem to get the tears under control. I don't feel an emotion. I can recognize when I get the tears, and I'm just trying to get through this email, and I'm crying. I've asked my spirit guides for help, even though I cannot yet sense them, which is why I got the book.

Do you have any suggestions on how I could move forward without all these tears? Well, thank you, Carol, for sharing. And sorry to hear that you can continue to cry. And I find that, at least for me, when I cry, whether it's that I'm having a session, someone's giving me a reading in particular, or something really resonates with me on a soul level, I tend to have an overwhelming feeling of

that tends to come through through tears. And so that might be part of what's happening with you. But the other thing that I was hearing intuitively as I was tuning in here is that

There are some emotions and some things that need to transmute and heal through you. So really when you're going through this process, so yes, the book may be resonating with you. You're in gratitude and feeling, yes, everything's resonating. I'm moving forward in my spiritual path and journey. Ultimately, at the same time, you're releasing things and you're healing real time as that's happening. So I would say lean into it or maybe even

instead of holding back, allow yourself, whether it's through meditation, listening to the book, or maybe even doing some prayers and intentions that you can say, I'm releasing, I'm releasing, I'm receiving, I'm receiving, and allow then whatever those vibrations, frequencies that are needed for your best and highest good to come through. And so I'll do a quick intention and prayer that you can either write down or anyone and everyone can listen back to this and do, but that is

You know, with your eyes closed and taking some deep breaths in and out, you say, I'm releasing with the breath and with the inhales, you pull through. I pull through those vibrations and frequencies that are for my best and highest good, whether that be peace, love, joy, happiness.

And as I breathe out, I release. And then you can even picture if you're a visual person and you have more of that clairvoyance and you can picture things in your mind's eye, the energy coming in and the energy releasing. And you can also ask your guides and angels just to continue that process and your higher self to heal yourself on all levels, that mental, physical, spiritual, emotional levels.

So that's what I'm getting and picking up on this. But Scott, I don't know what stood out to you or what your thoughts would be. Yeah, the thing that stuck out to me was that you always have to consider, and I think it's healthy to say, is this spiritual or is this not? And thank you so much for that intention. I got the chills when you were saying that, and I was like half paying attention, and I still got that. So thank you. But that's a good way to...

not in a sense cover yourself, but look and investigate that situation. The other thing that stuck out was that at one point in my career, I was working for an outpatient mental health facility.

Let me remind you, I was working for that. I wasn't in one. Noted. Noted. And a couple of times we'd have patients who had a pseudo-bulbar effect, which is inappropriate crying or laughing, like in situations. And this one woman I was talking with said, I don't know, I'm just in a meeting and I'll start laughing. Actually, she had both, laughing and crying.

At the end of the day, I'll just start crying. And she said, there's no emotion with it. There's no thoughts. It just happens. So to cover that aspect and cover yourself, that effect, PBA, can signal neurological disorder. And it might be good to have a doctor look at it to make sure that there's nothing physical going on.

And there are some treatments, obviously drug treatments, if you want to go that route, but there's also cognitive behavioral approaches as well. But to cover both bases, like why not? But...

I kind of think and get the feeling it's on the spiritual side and letting go and letting in that you mentioned. Well, it's really when she says meditation or when she's reading something that has a high vibration. When I was a kid, I had uncontrollable laughter at the worst moments when my parents would get mad at me and I'd laugh.

So I had that for sure. But in these instances that she's calling out, at least that's why I was leaning more towards the other as I was tuning in. But it's still good advice no matter what. Yeah, yeah. Okay, this question was submitted by Liz T with the subject negative feelings. I discovered your podcast through a series of other podcasts because I love listening to stories and I do believe it was and that's why we drink. Yes, love that podcast.

I enjoy listening to your podcast in particular because you make me feel so normal. I'm glad that I can normalize psychic and intuitive abilities. I grew up in a household that didn't have a religion or anything of the sort. My mom was raised Buddhist in post-World War II Okinawa. My dad was raised Protestant in the 30s and 40s Midwest. I always knew I was sensitive, but I didn't know that word yet. I could see things and hear things, but I was always afraid of this gift because I thought it was crazy and I didn't want to tell anyone.

Every once in a while, I would come across someone who also had a gift, usually male, but they would take advantage of me in some way. This made me more fearful of anyone who claimed to have any psychic abilities.

My question without too much backstory. I met a mother-daughter psychic duo at a vegan festival a couple of years ago on my birthday, and I thought they were there to help me, but now I feel like it was the opposite. I spent an embarrassing amount of money with them, and since I've broken off the relationship, I have been feeling negative feelings. I'm wondering if this would have something to do with them or the unfinished job that they had claimed to be helping me with related to getting rid of a negative attachment."

I never completed my time with them because I felt like I couldn't go on any longer. I was literally out of money and I started to get a bad feeling about them. I feel like I can trust you. I feel a kindred spirit to you and I love that you're out there doing things out in the open. I want to be able to grow up in my spirit journey and find more like-minded people. I'm not even sure you can answer me, but I felt compelled to email you for the last few weeks of binging your podcast. Maybe you can at least guide me in the right direction. Thanks so much for your time.

Okay. Well, I'm very sorry to hear that those two in particular took advantage of you. We did an episode on scammers. So for those out there who want to learn a little bit more, we can maybe link to it in the show notes or at least search online and see about that episode and listen a little bit more. That's episode 204. Thank you, Scott. Appreciate that.

So I would say definitely listen to that. But ultimately, you know, when I was tuning in and listening to this story, I was feeling it wasn't, I really don't like to use the word lesson, but it was one of those situations where this really, you know, thinking about it with that silver lining of helped open your eyes to the fact that you don't need anyone to really do this work. Yes, there are people like myself that are out there too that help and guide, but

If you ever feel that you have an energy or some sort of thing attached to you, yeah, it can happen, but we tend to sensationalize it through prayer, through listening to healing music, through all these other things. You can cleanse that away and remove that yourself. You don't ever need someone to do that. And also,

anytime someone's going to charge you money and or you get to a financial point where you can't afford that, that is a huge red flag, not a yellow flag or red flag. So there's that. But I would say that you are meant to meet them and almost kind of trusting that intuition from that. And maybe it wasn't necessarily a fully positive experience, but also now, you know, thank you for sharing your story because this is helping other people so that now if they ever encounter a similar situation, they know to walk away and not even to engage.

But also this is really what I'm hearing your guides and angels say is you stepping into your own truth and empowering yourself with your light and on your journey. So thank you. And that's what I have so far. Scott, what did you pick up on? Yeah, I would highly recommend listening to the Scammer episode because we have some stories and Nicole shares some very detailed stories.

ways to identify and learn to trust and be, you know, apply some healthy skepticism to what you're hearing. And, you know, and that's the kicker, right? Is that you're going to someone and they're giving you information from, you know, another realm, so to speak. So, you know, what are they saying? Is it true? Is it going to happen? Is it, you know, are they trying to manipulate me or using all the tools

emotional, intelligent tags that pull you in. You know, people are very good that way to do that.

And they're giving you information that can profoundly impact your life. So you have to be especially careful of that. But at the same time, I always tell people that if in quiet, you quiet your mind and think about it, does it ring true to you? Does it ring true? And I think this woman had some doubts and maybe kept going because of the hope of

of them helping her through, you know, some tough, tougher times or negative feelings. But in the end, obviously, it didn't work out. But, you know, to trust your intuition and how it makes you feel. Last year, I was working with someone and not you, Nicole. Well, you haven't come to me ever. You've never worked with me. Let's just be clear on that. You've gone to everybody but me. Just kidding. Oh, geez.

I'm just giving you a hard time because we joke about it. But yes. Well, you said you one time you said, oh, I'll do it for free. And then another time you said, I'll charge you. Yeah, I was kidding. I know. Well, we still will have that session one day. Yes, at some point one day. Okay. So I was in another intuitive mail and he was kind of saying like, you know, can you get to this point? You really need to get to this point. Okay.

And then I was like, I don't know. I don't know. And then he's like, well, maybe not in this lifetime, but, you know, at some point you're going to. And then it just made me feel bad. You know, like why? Yeah. And not that it was, you know, he was taking money or whatever.

anything dark, but it's just like, I just felt bad about myself. Like I'm not there yet and I'll never get there apparently in this lifetime. And as opposed to another reading I had and the woman said, you are exactly where you're supposed to be. And to me that was, I mean, it felt good.

But it's like two different types of things. So noticing how you receive the information and your gut feeling, I think, is a huge indicator. And you need to trust that. Yeah. And I do want to kind of go back to what she was saying, too, because I don't want to gloss over it. But she was saying that since then, the unfinished job that she feels like there's other things that she's picking up on.

And I forget what it's called, but there is this psychological component where scammers will give you hope. You kind of alluded to this a little bit. And then there's this false hope of I can't control this thing, but I at least can control this. So I'm giving somebody money or they're helping me. And so there's this this lack of hope.

trust like you're you can't you don't trust yourself enough necessarily to control the situation but you do with someone else and so I feel like there's that and so I just am here to tell you that and anyone else's that's listening to that if you feel that there's unfinished work and or that somebody may be psychically attacking you or sending you those energies also like close close your eyes if you're in a place that you can do so where it's safe again you're not driving taking some deep breaths in and out

And you can ask God, universe source, your guides and angels, your higher self to release any releasing, any attachment or connections with other people, any attachments or connections with other practitioners, any connections or attachments of other energies that are no longer for your best and highest good.

You can also be very specific. You can ask to cut the cords with these particular two. You can ask for Archangel Michael or your other guides and angels to surround you in love and light and to send off nothing but love. And also going back to the intention that I did earlier where in that

prayer where it's like breathing in and breathing out, use that as well because that will help you shift that energy, vibration, and frequency. So I wanted, my guides and angels were saying, don't leave her hanging on the other. I'm not feeling that. Maybe there was some fear on your end that they would be attacking you or there was unfinished work.

And maybe they did do that. But the point is, is that that is not important. It is really about you standing in your own light and being empowered through this experience. And now, you know that no one else can take that power away from you. Yeah. I think the term you might have been thinking about was locus of control.

Something like that, yeah. You give, like, oh, you take this and tell me what to do. And then you just do whatever happens or whatever. And then you feel like you're in control somehow, even though you're not, but you're hopeful that the other person can help you. Yes, yeah, that's the action you've taken. Like, yeah, I'm going to give it to you and you're going to help fix that. But, yeah, all...

All those things are important to keep in mind. This question was submitted by Alex C. with the subject, "What's the point?" "I've listened to all your podcasts and can't wait for new ones. I love anything and everything spiritual." Yay! "I wholeheartedly believe in the afterlife and have lots of confirming experiences.

One thing I'm struggling with is why we leave the other plane where, presumably, we know all the stuff. The why, the what, the who, and what it's all about. Why do we come to Earth and then spend our time trying to figure out what's over there? It isn't about trying to figure out what's over there. It's about remembering that we have access to all that wisdom, knowledge, and energy, but this time in physical form.

On the other side, we're only energy and can't experience things like taste, smell, touch, etc. It also allows us, God's source, when we come here as individuals, to experience life in a variety of lenses.

Essentially, our souls are individual, yes, but then we go back and we are reunited as one. The more we grow spiritually and ascend, we remember what we really shouldn't have forgotten. The only reason we forget is that society programs us to forget. Why don't we spend our time here focusing on the material experience?

Why spend all the time trying to enhance our spirituality, raise our vibration, connect with the divine, etc., when presumably it's known to us when we pass back over? Not that I think this is a waste of time, not that I think I know all the answers. I just wonder if I'm striving to understand the afterlife, but when I pass to the afterlife, I'll automatically understand it all anyway. Why am I doing it now? For whatever reason, your soul, higher self,

Wanted to experience the physical and to be in service of others here on earth. Your journey and experience through this self-discovery helps here and there. Again, God is experiencing life through your eyes. Does that make sense? Sorry, I feel it's a bit of a bonkers question. You first. Wow. Loaded question. What a dense... No, she... Yeah, they very succinctly...

in other words or other ways, put together what I believe, but love for you to go first and then I'll build from there. Yes, thank you, Alex C. You presented a wonderful outline, I think, of what it is all about. It's almost like some people say the cosmic respiration, the exhale, we come here and then we go back and learn.

But the three things that I thought about was, other than that, it's a great description of our human divine experience. As far as the forgetting part,

I don't necessarily agree that society programs us to forget, it's that we, in our spirit guides, before we incarnate, decide for us to forget. And the reason why that's important is like, suppose we want to say, years ago I was working in a pharmaceutical world and looking into helping people get food, nutritious food.

And I came up with this, I found out about this term called food insecurity. And food insecurity is when people don't have any idea how they're going to get their next meal. And in the United States, it's still in the high 20% rate, which is unbelievable to me. But in any case, I thought like, what would it be like to feel that way?

And to be in that position. And then I thought, well, maybe, you know, I won't eat anything during the day or won't go near restaurants or whatever. And I'm like, no, that's not it. I have to experience that. I would have to be in a situation where I actually don't have any food.

And so that's where I think... Or any way to get it. Or any way to get it, right. I mean, the true experience of it. So as far as forgetting and how we can experience in our human experience, we have to forget certain things in order to get the full experience of that effect. Like being put in a situation where there's no way to get food.

The other example is in the past life regression research. A couple of times I've read where a person passes and there's people who focus just on the in-between lives. And they go and there's a review of the life that you had, and then you meet with your spirit team and an elder of sorts, and then you plan out the next life and pick your parents and the situation and all that. And...

In this one story, this person said, "I want to learn to be dependent on other people. I do everything myself. I want to be dependent." So his next incarnation was to be born with physical disabilities, where someone had to take care of him his whole life. And I thought, like, yeah, I mean, as horrible that may seem on this side, you know, and as unfair it might seem

If that scenario was true, that would be the only way for him to learn how to truly depend on people and put the ego aside and be grateful for those that

that care for him. The other point was that in the conversations with God material, they state, and Neil Donald Walsh states that, you know, from his channeling, that we have many hundreds of lifetimes and we go through different lives and we learn different things and we ascend, we learn how to be, you know, love, you know, divine characteristics and you go to where the pinnacle

where you've finally worked out all the hurtful and harmful things and firmly embraced truth and love, and then you have a choice whether to serve non-incarnate, like with the spirit guide or angel, maybe not angel, but the spirit guide to help others on Earth.

Or you can choose to forget everything and start at the very bottom in a sense where not knowing anything, having to work through challenges and ego and temptations and all that stuff. So I thought that was interesting.

something to another model, you know, to think about. And then overall, I think the key in this story is that we need to engage in our physical life. You know, that, you know, that, you know, there are other realms and we do have other lives beyond this, I believe. And that we can't discount the fact of this dense technology

time-bound physical environment, but to embrace it. And that many spirits look to us and are envious because, yeah, we are in the physical realm. We can experience going for a walk. We can experience eating chocolate cake or having a relationship or whatever. So those are the three things I thought about.

Yeah, no, those are all really, really great points. And I'm going to address it a couple of the other different ways too, but it's essentially the same thing that you're saying is that I remember I must've been like six or something, the age of six, and I was walking down the sidewalk, I was outside and I had this moment and there's a psychological thing too about it where, you know, as our brains develop when we're younger and as we get older, there's certain stages and phases. So it's probably a little bit of that too, but I

I remember walking down the sidewalk thinking, oh my gosh, I'm in a human body. I'm in this human body. I'm experiencing this physical life and no one else is having this exact same experience in this moment in time. That's a really deep thought for a six-year-old, but it was almost as if I felt the light bulbs going off in my brain of, I'm this human being and here I am and this is my life and this is what I'm experiencing. Call that a

a start of an awakening, an awareness of consciousness. You can put whatever words you want on that, but that was very profound for me in the moment. And then the other is I am going to use the example of The Matrix, the movie, where you, you know, the concept of that, and I truly believe Hollywood shows us our playbook and

However long ago that movie was made, it's what's playing out in our life now. But ultimately, at the end of the day, it is about we're asleep and we're not paying attention. And then all of a sudden, we are aware of so many things beyond what we can just see and or control and or manifest and to create an information to receive. So if you haven't watched the movie, definitely recommend it.

That said, what I think of, and again, beautifully summarized here by Alex, is that we don't remember, but the gift is about remembering in this physical form. So we have everything merging, the physical, the emotions, the mental, the spiritual. It's not about...

I think people misunderstand that it's, oh, it's about my spiritual journey and growth. It's about intersecting and connecting the dots and being able to live a life and your best life, as you mentioned, Scott, in the physical so that you can enjoy the spoken word that you are able to as a creator of and likeness of God, universe, source, and having that life source energy to be able to live a life in its fullest. Yes, with all the ups and downs.

So that's what I feel. And yes, your question made sense. It wasn't bonkers. But when we go over to the other side,

you know, yes, we're connected and we know more and we're kind of back in that pool. But that's, again, the gift of being here on Earth is to have that human experience while you are also a spiritual being. Yeah. And then in near-death experiences, people come back, vast majority of their lives are changed because they get a glimpse of that removing of the cloak in a sense of the physical world and feeling that lightness and love and connection. And then they come back and they realize

live their lives with that awareness to

to appreciate and to do work, meaningful work, to help others. So hopefully our answer made sense to you. Yeah, thanks for the sci-fi reference too. Always love that. One quote from the Esther Hicks Abraham work was that, that rang through to me years ago, was that you'll never get it done. There's really no, there's no completion. You know, in our time here, you know, time is linear. We have things to do.

So you'll never get it done. Another life, it just can go on and on and on. So it kind of takes the pressure off of how should I live? What do I need to do now? Just let it go and engage and experience the life that you're in right now. Yes, exactly. This question was submitted by Lauren C. with the subject, What Do I Do?

Okay.

Do I need to do Reiki, work on meditation, breath work, or my psychic development? I'm totally unsure if I'm reading into my talents, but I've always felt I had something in me that was different, that I'm meant for something that hasn't shown itself yet. I'm highly empathic and have been having issues protecting myself and developing appropriate strategies. It's safe to say I feel overwhelmed by all the different paths I could take to work on myself.

I deal with a lot of anxiety as well, so I know that also needs to be taken care of. I know it's related to being an empath. I feel way too much all the time.

I'm hoping you could send me in the right direction. I wonder if I should sign up for a training in order to get attuned, etc. I've been learning about chakras, kundalini, and overall energy work. I just wish I could do it myself, but I'm not sure if it's possible. Any advice would be so appreciated. My left brain also makes me think that maybe I'm cuckoo and don't have any psychic ability, and I'm just reading into it all since I've been drawn to these podcasts.

All right. So I will start by, I mean, this is, there's a lot more I want to share here. We're not going to be able to get it all done, you know, in this podcast episode. But if you don't have our book, Looking for Angels, I would definitely suggest that whether you have the print or the audio version. And the reason I say that is because for me, and at least the portion that I wrote is just

When we feel like we're meant to have something else or there's a purpose or we're stuck in our lives and we don't know where to go and we're pulled in all these other different directions, I would say take a deep breath and pause and first start to ask yourself, okay, what is it that I'm feeling is missing? Because that's usually an indication that there is some change that needs to happen.

That change can be many things. It could be relationship, job, doesn't have to be a big decision, but where she's going is more about, I want to dive in more with myself and tune in more with myself, which I would say is learning more to connect with your higher self. Your higher self knows all. It's that part of yourself that has no ego, can see yourself on all those different timelines and timeframes and all the choices you made and what you decided that you wanted to come here to do and accomplish.

So really connecting with your higher self and through that and the way you do that is by learning more and becoming aware of your intuition and your psychic abilities and what other resources. If you're not drawn to angels, you're not drawn to or you don't have the money necessarily to go to other practitioners, the point is that you don't have to spend money. You have it within yourself to learn and to grow and develop your own intuition. So I would say start there. Now,

Whether it's Reiki or meditation or breath work, those are all tools. So whatever you feel drawn to and led to, maybe you start with crystals. You don't have to take a course on it. Get a quartz crystal, sit with it beside your bed.

When you're out on a walk, take it with you. If you feel like a pendulum or tarot, you may feel scattered at first, but you at least pick something that gets you to where that curiosity is and that you can start to use it. That's where I would say to start at least. And I know that was a lot at first, but I wanted to give her a focus and

But I'm going to pause and see, Scott, what you picked up on and where, you know, what advice or guidance you would give her based on this question. Yeah, I think if there is a chance that Lauren is somewhat like me and that if you want something, you go at, you get a list, you get a schedule, you're like, okay, this is, I'm going to, I want to be, you know, develop my psychic abilities and this, this, this is going to happen. And then maybe right after that, that, that, that's going to happen again.

And what I've learned recently as a component of awakening is to more let go of everything than rather to chase after things, you know, to get there, you know. Good advice. Yeah. And so just, you know, if you can, you know, 15 minutes a day, just sit and be quiet and just let go.

knowing that you're complete as you are, you know, as we all are, and that we don't really need to get anything, you know, incorporate anything or teaching or tool to get us somewhere. We're already, we are already there in one sense, and that you just relax in it. And then I'm huge on just putting out the intention. Like, I would like a spiritual teacher.

Please show me. I would like to learn things. And if you're gutsy enough, you say, no matter at what cost, you know, you could say that intervene with my life, do that.

Maybe write a book with a co-author who's an intuitive. That would really rock your world. But in any case, yeah, I'm big on putting the intentions out there and that then you'll meet the person, you'll meet a book will come to you, a conversation. So, yeah.

It's like a balance, chasing after it and doing things and then letting go at the same time and then trusting that, again, you'll never get it done. There's no timeline. It'll come to you. It's fine. Yeah.

And the other two that stood out to me is the fact that she's an empath and almost every single person that comes to me if in session is an empath. So I'm going to share what I've already shared on the podcast and what I also share in those sessions as well. But when she says she feels things too much all the time, the key to when I say understanding her intuition is if you know that there's something that's a little bit more heightened or you're more sensitive to. So in this instance, it's her emotions.

It's about, okay, now I understand that I feel these emotions, my own and others really intensely, really deeply all the time. Now what do I do with that? Start asking yourself questions about what is this emotion?

Is this my feeling? Is this someone else's? Okay, I know I'm feeling really sad today. Why? Maybe you don't have a reason. You don't have to necessarily understand the why behind it all the time, but you at least then say, okay, I'm going to allow myself to feel this sadness. And as I'm feeling it, because I bet you 90% of us out there listening to this podcast are

Real and sad don't want to necessarily have all the feelings and feel the sadness, but the way through it and to transmute and to heal is to allow yourself to experience that. And then calling in what I said earlier, the vibrations, frequencies, or the emotions that you do want to experience. So is that peace, joy, bliss? At first, it sounds like a little bit of a placebo effect or that you're kind of checking the

box and you're not necessarily shifting from sadness to joy at a drop of a hat. But the more you practice and more you do that, then you do see and experience the energy shift, the emotional changes you're able to. The best way I can say it is experience it real time and those energetic shifts and those vibrations and frequencies change. So if that's all you do in the beginning, like Scott was saying, find something yet don't chase it and let go. That'll give you a little bit of practice and

to that. So I hope that helped. The other thing is what stood out to me, Scott, when you mentioned a spiritual teacher, maybe a mentor, maybe what she's needing in this moment is I would love to find community and other people that can guide me knowing that she probably doesn't necessarily have a lot of time or money or resources, especially being a new mom. So it could be that

okay, spirit, show me my community that's going to help me for my best and highest good. That's going to guide, you know, support me. Maybe it's not the guidance as much as it's the support with this. And you can find a free online community or something of that nature or something that's local. So that's kind of the things that are standing out to me based on this question. Yeah.

Yeah. And then one other thing, and I think you mentioned this once before. So when I was, you know, over the last year, you know, I'm getting involved with things and feeling connections and taking the divine mediumship course and all that, but

But and then sometimes I'm like, I don't know, maybe this is all nuts and I'm just making this up. And I think you mentioned either yourself or other practitioners like, you know, yeah, it happens. You know, some days I'll have I think I don't know if it was you or not. It was me. Yeah. You say, you know, great sessions one day and the next day you're like.

Nothing. And, you know, it's a feeling, you know, and then you just keep your practice up, keep working. And then those other times and appreciate those other times when spirit does have that connection.

but your feelings of connection can wax and wane, I guess is the point. Yeah. For me, when that was happening was when I was, so I love doing obviously the podcast and talking with like-minded people and people that also push me to think of things differently that I wouldn't necessarily have thought of before, experienced before. And I find that when I'm not in podcast mode,

But also when I was starting to do the sessions, my intuition was this revolving door constantly, constantly, constantly because I'm having these conversations.

with all different types of people and I'm talking about the spiritual and I'm in the zone, I'm in that more state of oneness. And then when I'm not, my intuition and those experiences, whether I'm receiving information or feeling an energy around doesn't happen as much because I'm living life not constantly in spiritual mode, if that makes sense.

And so during those moments of not having these intuitive hits, you think, am I making this up? And that's for me. But also people that are getting into it are trying to find that connection more. You do need to have what I would definitely highly recommend, having a little bit more of a routine or something that you can use to tap in. And it could be anything, but I do know that people feel overwhelmed about it.

about where do I start? So that's why I always say, what feels good to you? What lights you up? Are you drawn to crystals? Do you want to learn more about your intuition? Is meditation your thing or not? At least at first, find something at least that gives you that excitement and then start there. And then the ball of snow, you know, the snowball starts to roll a little bit and then it becomes this big thing.

And you're on that trajectory towards what it is. So that's, and then the other thing just kind of side note before we move on to the final thing is what I said in those moments when I'm like, am I making this all up? Is that my guy, I hear my guides and angels laugh and they say, Nicole, what about this? What about this? What about this? And I, and I think through all of those moments and,

that as my good friend Chris Lufkin says, you can't make this up because there are miracles, there are experiences, there are those synchronicities. So you need to stick to it. Yeah, I agree. All right. And this is a voicemail from Laura from Denver with the subject, Why Was I Chosen? Hello, my name is Laura and I am from Denver and I have an interesting experience that I'd like to share that I don't know the meaning of. Um,

But I am now 42, and I was probably about 20 years old when this happened. But I had a boy friend at the train whose grandfather was diagnosed with brain cancer and wanted to remain living at home. And...

He had requested his daughter that she would like someone like myself to care for him in his dying days. And I was a nursing assistant at the time and not yet going to nursing school. And when my phone rang and I saw who was calling, I knew immediately what she was going to ask me to do. And I knew the answer was already yes.

And so at the end of our conversation, she said, "You know, you can give it some time to think about it." And I said, "No, I don't need time. I would be on it to take care of the other father in his dying days."

And so I was staying with him during the week and then going back home and working my nursing assistant job on the weekend. And one evening he pushed his, we had a, it was like a old school office buzzer that, you know, the buzzer could, the secretary, so if he needed me in the night, he could buzz me. And I came to him and

And he started telling me about a dream he had had. And I could really not understand the words that were coming out of his mouth, but I knew what he was saying. And he said he had a dream that he came to a grassy hill.

It was really deep. He knew he had to climb it and was worried it was going to be very hard to do. But when he started climbing the hill, he discovered it was effortless. And when he got to the top and peered over the edge, he found himself in a casket. And so I said, well, would you like me to call your daughter and let her know that time for it?

people to come and start saying goodbye to you and he said yes. So the next day I did and shortly thereafter all the family came to his bedside and they were all spending time in the living room where his hospital bed was and

I went out back to the yard. That was kind of the thing I did to distract myself. And as I was on the lawnmower, I started to feel very dizzy. And I, at the time, thought it was like, you know, the gas refracts from the lawnmower. And I got off the lawnmower and I went inside and I leaned over the

Joe and he I got the sensation that it was time to say goodbye so I said to everyone in the room just chatting and that in time together that I thought it was time for everybody to come around Joe and say goodbye and everybody in the room was kind of giddy

shocked by that or perplexed or just kind of like, "Oh, okay." And so they all stood around him, cast like cami, and did a prayer circle around him. And at the time I went to go get my band boy some guitar to bring outside because he just couldn't come aside and be a part of it. It was too emotional for him.

And as I was passing past the living room door, his mom called to me and I said, "One moment, let me bring this guitar out to your son." And I gave him his guitar and I said, "I think he's passing." And then there was a bush next to him and a bunch of white moss butterflies came out of that bush.

And then I came back inside and he had death. It was a really beautiful experience and I'm not sure why I was chosen to be there for that or why or how or any of it. I just know that it was a really beautiful experience and I just wanted to share. Thank you. What a great story.

Yeah, no, amazing. And I'm going to answer a question with a question. So she said, why was I chosen? My answer to that is, why not? That's what I was saying.

Really? Yeah, same thing. Why not? And you fulfilled a very important role in that whole process. And everybody kind of went along with it. Even though they were shocked, they kind of probably were looking. I worked as a hospice spiritual counselor for half a year.

And you're constantly surprising me. I didn't know this about you. Yeah, I have. Yeah, some stories there. But being she fulfilled that, you know, everybody's grieving. They don't know. And they maybe haven't done, you know, been around that before. But she kind of came in and had a wonderful, you know, role of coordinating and letting people know. And and then the whole thing with the the moths flying out of the bush. I mean, that was kind of cool, too.

And that probably too would be if she hasn't already started to see the, if Laura hasn't already started to see, moths might be another symbol or sign for her moving forward from spirit. I love moths. Usually people tend to lean a little bit more on the butterfly side, but they have a very spiritual meaning. So definitely look it up and see. But yeah, it's metamorphosis, just like butterflies. And then just an oddball.

thought was that, you know, the idea that there's about 20 or 30 people, you know, beings that were part of a group that we travel through space and time. And then in different lives, we change roles, you know, to learn that, you know, maybe that was the case there that she was picked because she was, you know, familiar and tied in with him on another life. And

Yeah. In some instances, we're meant to be the caretaker and then being taken care of. We play different roles and responsibilities, not only in this lifetime, but when in other lifetimes that we have. And you're exactly right. It's about experiencing it from a different perspective or a different view. So perhaps that person helped her in another time, and now she's paying it forward or experiencing it from that standpoint. Yeah. Very beautiful story. Yes. Thank you so much for sending it in, Laura.
