马懿: 我在新专辑《第一千夜》中尝试用音乐的形式表达一本当代东方寓言。专辑中的每首歌都对耳熟能详的道理或故事进行了新的演绎，如同《一千零一夜》的倒数第二天。创作过程中，我并没有刻意追求押韵，而是更注重语感和表达的自然流畅。歌曲《我比风年轻》的灵感来源于一次散步，表达了对年龄焦虑的思考和对未来的可能性。专辑整体风格轻松愉悦，但创作过程中思考的东西比较多，有时会忽略一些最直接的感受。在与程锦远的合作中，我充分信任他的音乐才华，创作过程中我们很少有分歧。专辑中关于时间的思考是巧合，因为专辑想要探讨的是个体与世界的关系，而时间和空间构成了世界。歌曲《痴人说梦》是对成语的重新解读，表达了对赤子之心的赞美；《三分钟的快乐》表达了对三分钟热度的正面解读，认为它是获得灵感的途径；《雨后的哲学家》是对“未雨绸缪”的质疑和反思，哲学家指代的是我自己。专辑中歌曲标题的灵感来源于对古老谚语和老话的重新解构，歌词比平均市面上的流行歌歌词要长，每一场演出都需要即兴发挥。专辑的第一首和最后一首歌曲分别隐喻了父子和母女的关系。
程锦远: 专辑的歌曲顺序是从“第一千夜”的晚上七点开始，陪伴听众度过最后一个晚上，最终揭晓当代东方寓言的结局。专辑中两首纯音乐以时间命名，分别作为专辑的前奏和结局的预兆。专辑的曲目顺序考虑了专辑想要表达的故事，以及编曲风格和听者的感受，遵循了一个故事的脉络，从向外互动到向内观。这张专辑约70%的歌曲是先作词后作曲，也有先作曲后填词的情况。作曲时，灵感来时就写，灵感不来时就停，有时创作周期会很长。Deadline对音乐创作很重要，它能避免无限期修改。现在音乐的收入来源主要来自演出和版税，音乐人需要仔细阅读流媒体平台的合同，以确保版税结算。我们坚持自己创作，因为成本最低。大部分流行歌手不参与创作，而是由制作人和A&R总监负责歌曲的选择和制作。对爵士乐的欣赏是在长时间的熏陶下逐渐产生的。我们并非爵士组合，而是复古流行组合，专辑中的《雨后的哲学家》有意向流行风格靠拢。专辑中关于人和世界的关系的思考是在专辑简介创作时才总结出来的。我们目前正在休息，下一张专辑的创作可能在今年年底开始。专辑要有整体概念，单曲随时可以写。

马懿: 'The inspiration for the song titles in the album comes from the reconstruction of old proverbs and sayings, the lyrics are longer than the average pop song lyrics, and improvisation is needed in every performance.'
马懿: 'The first and last songs in the album metaphorically represent the relationship between father and son and mother and daughter, respectively.'
程锦远: 'The order of songs in the album starts from 7 pm on the “Thousandth Night,” accompanying listeners through the last night and finally revealing the ending of the contemporary Eastern allegory.'
程锦远: 'The two instrumental pieces in the album are named after time, serving as the prelude and a foreshadowing of the ending.'
