We talk about what you can expect to find in Android 14 Beta 1, which dropped last week, and lament the lack of a new version of Talkback – a staple of previous Android developer builds and betas. You can enrol a qualifying Pixel device on this page.

Tip of the week

Ed demonstrates the settings to control emergency alerts, in light of the upcoming roll-out of an emergency alerts system in the UK which will be tested on 23 April.
